But if we were to host an event together, I'd definitely be Sa laoshi's support. Boss Yang: Why? He Jiong: Because I think he's sharp. And I think, on many issues, he can pinpoint the matters that really need to be discussed. As for me, I could perhaps observe on the side what Sa laoshi, in his excitement, glosses over. So I think I'm better in the supporting role.

Sa Beining: That's not support. (Boss Yang: You say it's support, but that's controlling the stage) You're the main pillar. Before coming to this show I only asked the production crew a single question: Is He laoshi in charge of controlling the flow? They said "yes"; I replied "then we're good to go!" I felt so at ease. So at ease. He Jiong: ...Next episode, let's have you controlling the flow, shall we? I'll give you my script. Sa Beining: ...Just tell me how much time you have to film this. He Jiong: *laughs* Sa Beining: You can hand over the control to me, I can take it. I can. At what time do we start filming, and when do you want it to end? He Jiong (trying not to laugh): It's like this, if you-- Sa Beining: Can you go home on the highspeed train (instead of the plane)? He Jiong: *dying*

About the exact same question (and still not answering the question) (unedited cut that didn't make it in the ep but were aired as bonus):

He Jiong: Whether someone's personality is good or not is not so easy to assess, actually. For example, talkativeness. *points straight at Sa Beining with his thumb* If he's talkative and there's no value in what he says, it's a bad thing. But if he's talkative and you like listening to him, it becomes a quality instead.

He Jiong: In a situation where we don't have time-- Sa Beining (taking his hand): Keep pointing at me. Keep pointing. He Jiong (complying and pointing at Sa Beining with his thumb): If we don't have time restrictions (it's fine)....But if he, for example, prevents people from getting off work..... *slowly turns his thumb down* Sa Beining: *giggles* He Jiong: But in a situation where we have a lot of time, who doesn't like to chat with Sa laoshi? *turns thumb up again* Sa Beining: Let's keep chatting for another 200 yuan. (from the expression: lets chat for 10 yuan, aka let's chat for a short amount of time)

#job secured 😛#it’s full time 9 hour days but Fridays are 4 hours #my nepotism baby arc (paulina helped me secure it at the clinic I go to LMFAO)#well kinda like I applied and they called me back but I missed the call #so when I went to see her (for the first time since September she said she got excited when she saw my name on her schedule bless her soul)#I told her how I called him back but the like didn’t even ring it just went straight to voicemail both times #so she called him from her work phone and pretended I was a stranger she ran into bc patient confidentiality LMFAOEKFK #she went ‘I found someone in the hall who came to ask about a job because she got a call but hasn’t been able to get in contact with you’#and he came down there and was Iike ‘I’m so sorry I’ve been doing orientations and interviews all day I must have missed you’#and we were talking in the elevator to his office about the position and he goes ‘do you have time for an interview right now?’ I was :O #and said yes ofc #interviewed with the 2 pharmacists then and there and he called and offered me the position the next day!!#and I’m making more than I did at my previous job and it’ll go up once I get certified in like 2 months #they’re willing to train me and everything??#and the reason I wanted this job so bad is bc it counts towards my healthcare experience for grad school SLAY #2 birds 1 stone baby

Everything is so hard, but I am doing such a good job, and I just needed to put that out into the universe. I am doing a good job.

#this was the stupidest week on record #everything went wrong the whole time #and none of it was my fault #but I was put unfairly in the position of Responsible Adult #so all of it was my problem #but I did such a good job.#and the final thing tonight - a good thing at last- was opening an email from my boss with the new year's schedule and class lists #my class is being offered as an elective this year for the first time - mine is usually the placeholder for everyone so schedules are neat #I was *very* nervous - the group that now gets the option was ROUGH last year #I had a secret fear no one at all would sign up #but surprise!#more than 2/3 of the grade chose to take my class!#I think relieved is the proper word for what I'm feeling #it's going to be rough #and a lot of work #but I am so relieved and excited!
