ACS Skill Assessment Processing Time for Engineers

The processing time for ACS skill assessment is essential for visa applicants. There is no specific time frame for processing completion. After submitting your application, it usually takes approximately 8 to 10 weeks to complete the ACS skill assessment processing, unless your visa is expiring in less than 12 weeks. In that case, you can request priority processing, which reduces the processing period to 2 weeks.

Engineers and ICT professionals who are seeking immigration to Australia must apply for the ACS skill assessment. They need to pass this skill assessment test to demonstrate their knowledge and experience in working in Australia. The Australian Computer Society (ACS) administers the test. Applicants must submit the RPL report for the ACS skill assessment. The Recognition Prior Learning (RPL) report is written to the ACS for those who want to work in the ICT sector in Australia but lack prior experience.

The objective of the RPL application is to give candidates without an ICT educational certification an opportunity to demonstrate that they have learned a comparable amount of information. What is Priority Processing?

Priority Processing is a service offered to individuals who require a skills assessment for general professional occupations, such as those applying for a 485 visa. However, individuals who have already completed a skills assessment for the same occupation and are reapplying are not eligible for priority processing.
