Here is another post I was supposed to write looong ago, but my time-managing skills are a joke, so I do it now, before the new update drops.

So:

I was thinking a lot about Malbonte's kiss scene. Obviously, as his romancer I enjoyed it a l o t. The tension, the yearning, the inner-conflict and shame our mc feels, when she realises he's done it just to read her thoughts...

But I'm not here to simply admire Alice's writing, I'm here to focus on the moment when the kiss ends.

Being compared to monster is what stops Malbonte. And then the topic is continued:

This time he doesn't even need to read mc's mind. He already knows. Not only because they've been together for ten years, but because he's been treated like a monster for a g e s. Painted as the big bad villain, a creature without conscience, focused solely on his goal and hunger for power. Mc was the first one to see his different, more 'human' side. So reading her mind at this moment, knowing now she also sees him as a monster, must felt somewhat painful. And of course, Malbonte would never admit that, since that would be a sign of weakness, but I have no doubt it made him feel bitter.

Just as I have no doubt he lost himself for a minute during this kiss. Just look at this wonderful cg. Aaaah, I can't wait for our future interactions with him, his relationship with mc is so angsty and dramatic, and overall complicated, and I'm eating it up 💙

ok but my favorite part about malvicky is that despite the fact that she fully has the right to dislike being malbonte's vessel instead she actively enjoys it and seeks to have his power inside her, feeling empty and powerless when stripped of it, enjoying it when malbonte says that they're still connected and that she smells like him and arguing with those around her who are claiming that it's better for her to be stripped of his power like NO despite the humanity she sees in him she also likes how dark and strong and powerful he is that's the whole point !

I'm going to be very honest about this, I love Heaven's Secret as a series, because it was the first one I read at RC. I'm weirdly attached to its characters and setting.

But something that irks me in HS2 is the fact that MC had been with her LI for 10 long years and all that time has not translated in any meaningful development in their relationships. Like 10 years are a long long time for a romantic relationship and one could either fall out of love in all that time or get used to their partner in a way that they would know them like the back of their hand, a certain level of comfort and trust and understanding, should have been ideally observed? I don't see that happening

As someone who's been on both Lucifer and Malbonte romance routes, their relationship with MC is almost the same as it was by the end of HS1 S3. Malbonte is the same, has had little to no character development, Luci has gone further down the drain it seems and MC is immature as ever.

After years of being together MC keeps calling Malbonte a monster and he keeps being passive-aggressive and slightly abusive to her. Lucifer just leaves her hanging like girl bye I gotta save my mom you figure your stuff out? Shouldn't partners have an understanding wherein they could help each other sort out problems?

Dino needs to grow a spine real soon and Mimi? She used to be such a force to reckon with, now she's been reduced to a damsel almost.

The external conflict in HS2 has a high magnitude and that would create internal conflicts for the characters, sure, but I still feel like the characters do not act like they are experienced immortals by a long stretch of imagination.

MC's lack of trust in her partner and their relationship being back to square 1 is a little bizarre.

I love this series regardless, I'm just happy to see these characters again but I felt I should point this out.

bugged achievements in the march update

So I'm obsessed with achievements (I have 100/118 right now lol) and have played most of the stories for achievements already. I've found some bugs that I'm really hoping Romance Club will address, so that my little completionist heart can finally be at rest with all of the beautiful achievements unlocked.

Achievement is 100% broken:

I Can Wait (WP): Doesn't unlock at the end of the story despite 100% loyalty to Alek. RC said they fixed this in a technical update, but I can confirm that it's still broken. They've now said it will be fixed in May.

Matchmaker (SIF): Achievement is not unlocking at any point despite having matched Christina, Lorenza, and Ivy. Tepish has confirmed that they've discovered the source of the bug and it will be fixed in the May update.

Enlightener (DLS): Seems simple enough--you should get this if Lale wins the science fair so that girls can study at the palace school. It makes sense for this achievement to unlock in either 1.6 or 3.6, but it doesn't appear at either place. This is the only broken achievement that RC hasn't acknowledged yet.

Achievement is attainable, but only in specific & clearly unintentional circumstances:

Amicus (HS2): This one is apparently only attainable on Dino's path. I wasn't able to get it on War or Mimi's paths, and others have reported that they weren't able to get it on Hunger or Malbonte's paths. When replaying for Dino, I did everything the same way--the only difference was my LI.

Refined Taste + Elegance (LOTW): These work fine if you still have "enough" (I have no idea how many) premium items left to buy, but are not currently working if you've already purchased everything. I think that this achievement is coded to respond only to newly purchased items, which can't be right.

Loyal Friend (LOTW): It's been reported that this one doesn't work if Takao is alive but injured at the end of the story.

Achievement is attainable, but the description is misleading/wrong:

The One Night Stand (TO2): I've seen people saying that they haven't been able to get this by sleeping with Joel while NOT on his branch (which is how it's supposed to work), but they HAVE been able to get this while they ARE on his branch (the opposite of how it's supposed to work). So you can get this achievement, but you have to ignore what the description says.

The Grand Gesture (TO1): The description makes it sound like Evan needs to interrupt the show to unlock this achievement, but that doesn't work. The only way to get this achievement is to choose "no one" in the final episode while romancing Evan, and he'll then confess his love for you off camera. So, again, you can get the achievement, but you have to ignore the description.

So, yeah. If you're playing for achievements, hopefully this post will help!

I've been getting into Romance Club's Heaven's Secret and I just need to write an x Reader. Specifically Malbonte x Reader.

I've been playing Heaven's Secret 2 and I'm loving how grim everything gets. I'm a sucker for a LI that is like "I hate everything except for MC". It's horrible, but that cliche makes my knees weak.

I'm waiting to play the 4th episode and the whole time I'm just dreading what Malbonte has planned. I won't be disappointed if they have a good or bad ending honestly. I just wonder how honest he really is. If I was MC I don't think I could quote, "Trust him with my life". He's the literal manifestation of hatred.

Though I do love seeing MC suffer because I'm a masochist, so I honestly wouldn't be upset if he betrayed her or something. He probably won't yet still. He's two-faced, hot, and maybe has a soft side so it's not like I can blame MC for falling for him.

With everything that MC had gone through, I feel like she should be having a meltdown. Though I am trudging down the composure path.

When I played HS, I was taking Lucifer's route until Bonte showed up. I dropped Lucifer so fast that it's almost shameful. Then sweet bean Bonte fucking dies and becomes Malbonte. Rip Bonte, you will be missed and hello Malbonte I'm ready to swallow my morals for you.

Also Satan rest in piss. His overall involvement in the story is pretty small in both volumes. Though guess it's because it's not like he's the main antagonist in either one, so whatever. You probably see or hear more about him if you're on Lucifer's route.
