Why am I doing this? Because I hate myself. Why not just use ChatGPT to write the AI parts? Because I respect myself. The machines are not better than me! I can do everything ChatGPT can do, even sound like ChatGPT. It wants to take my job. I'll take its first!

So I was in this writing course once and one activity we did was writting freestyle for like ten minutes to see how much we could write. I was thinking it would be super fun if you did that so we can see the mastermind doing her art on real time

omg i actually loved this challenge, seriously!! i didn’t go full freestyle mode, but i did write the first part of a fic i’m currently working on and honestly this felt like such a fun way to get out of my own head a little and just write. i actually work better under pressure LMAO i've already tried timing my writing and i wrote more that way surprisingly! and i tried the pomodoro method too.

alsooo.... this is kind of the perfect opportunity to say something i’ve been meaning to talk about: a few people have (wrongly) accused me or implied that i use AI to write my fics — not a lot, but enough to be annoying lol — and let me just say, that kind of assumption is super frustrating and disrespectful. especially when it’s based on nothing but the way i write.

the little writing clip i shared was from a moment where i was super inspired, so the words were flowing easily and i didn’t need to stop or overthink too much. but trust me, that’s not always the case. sometimes it takes me like 40 minutes to finish a single page because i’m searching for the right word, the right metaphor, translating stuff in my head, trying to make a phrase land just right. there are even days when i write whole paragraphs in spanish and then translate them later because my english just isn’t clicking the way i want it to.

english isn’t my first language — spanish is — and even though i’ve studied english for over 10 years (shoutout to the academy days lmao), i learned it in a pretty academic context. so my writing might come off as a little too structured sometimes, or overly punctuated, or kind of stiff or formal. but that’s just part of the process. i’m still learning what grammar rules i can break and how to make things sound more fluid and natural. and as i keep writing in english, i feel like i’m slowly finding my own voice, my own rhythm, and a style that really feels like me. but i will never, and i mean never, support the use of AI in fanfiction. just to clear that up.

Thanks for telling me, i don't think ive seen the post your talking about.

But i want everyone to know this, writing is my life. I would never give up the thing i love most just because an ai could do it faster.

I do not believe in using ai, especially for making things like stories or art―these things are the most human things ever created and i would never want to change that.

If its anything to with how much im putting out atm, still, i reiterate that ai has nothing to do with it.

I am in a much better place than i was a few months ago and my mental health has been mostly improving. Because of that, i have been writing alot more because ive have the energy and the time to do so.

I will always be proud of the work that i have made for both myself and my amazing followers.

Accuse me all you want but i hope all of you who've known me on here long enough know that i care deeply about my work and honestly wouldn't touch ai with a ten foot pole.

Also, since I'm thinking about it now with my tags on that last post: i write on AO3 under the handle of PaganKeith (a hold over from my Voltron era—don't @ me) and lately I've been working on a Modern Hyrule AU called Ancestral Links.

This last chapter, Zelda, Link, Paya, and Sheik went to meet the Great Fairy and it was hinted at that Zelda is sapphic by her reaction to the fairy's appearance and. Dude. Someone could not HANDLE having queer rep in a Zelda fanfiction and left the NASTIEST little comment (i deleted it).

Like how is sapphic Zelda your stumbling block? This is a tale as old as time. You would not have survived the Twilight Princess era.

I know the Fallout TV show wanted to have a cool bombs dropping moment/scene but in all likelihood the West Coast would’ve had advanced warning before the bombs dropped or they would’ve dropped around 6 am bc on the East Coast they dropped at 9:40 something.

The people at the birthday party in the show are watching the news on tv and listening to it on the radio so it’s not like everyone at the birthday party was just tuned out and they didn’t realize they were getting advanced warning, there was no warning at all even though we know the bombs dropped on the East Coast first. Plus, there’s sirens all over the city that would have gone off even if the ppl weren’t listening to the news. I feel like that’s one inconsistency that the show had with the games that is not talked about as much.

We know that the bombs hit the East Coast first around 9:40 which would have been 5:40 West Coast time so why would they drop during this party which seems to be taking place in the middle of the day or at least late morning and why would the news station and the radio which were both talking about national news not have been warning people about the bombs actively dropping on the other side of the country? It’s a total lore dismissal of the games.

Also Vault Tec received an early warning before the citizens of America knew about the bombs dropping. It’s mentioned in the Vault 111 terminal they got less of a warning than they thought they would but wouldn’t Barbara Howard, one of the higher-ups at Vault Tec, get that warning and be blowing up the phone of the person whose kid’s birthday party it was? There’s a possibility that she didn’t have time but I don’t know, she tried so fucking hard for years to get her family together in a “management” vault. It doesn’t seem like she’d give up right at the last moment. We still don’t know what happened to her or Janey so I guess we’ll see in season 2.

Weeping to find out I've been hit by a nasty mean ol' comment bot on Time Will Tell. It was pretty easy to tell they were bots so I just marked them and disabled guest comments for now. I'm glad I was prepared for something like this to happen because they were so mean! And it's just, like, sad to get that little inbox notif and it's not genuine interaction, ya know?

Uhm, hey so I don’t like being accused of this!

I put a lot of effort into setting aside time to plot and write out my stories. If you’ve read them, you can find many, many errors in grammar or sloppy/specific writing styles that slipped by in the editing stage. I don’t know where this accusation is coming from, but thank you for killing the rest of my already chronically low motivation.
