Anyway my heart hurts for Ashton just repeatedly being told to fuck off and go away 馃挃 I get that everyone needs some space but like boy their feelings and intentions were so dismissed for a good chunk of the episode and they're hurting too like!!! Please!! Give my boy(adjacent) more hugs!!

No but that's pretty much exactly what I was thinking lol, if this guy survives he's going to have his work cut out for him and I don't know what happens if he doesn't. No days off. Imogen starts crackling with lightning? Spritz spritz. Laudna talking to herself amicably? Spritz spritz. Fearne? Spritz spritz spritz. Ashton is on thin fucking ice cuz they need his rage but if he looks away from the enemy he gets the spritz. FCG insists he can take a little more pain, it's fine - spritz.
(Chetney steals the squirt bottle and runs away on all fours but he's in bloodlust and explodes it with his teeth and gets a face full of water anyway)
(I would also like to state for the record that Chetney would be next in line to bear the water bottle. He would keep everyone's morals in line! He just would allow a whole lot of killing and loss of control in the name of good things.)

Chetney really is on thin ice theses last few episodes. Aside from being his own creepy little self (cause not only is he fawning over Fearne, he also fawned over Mama Birdie for a bit which is just really... gross if you think about it.) him siding and going alone with fucking Yu of all people, as well as putting blame on Ollie and Birdie when they're literally just trying their best to save their daughter and figure out what's going on with ruidis and the feywild.
He's treating these parents as two-faced criminals, when in reality they're very scared and concerned parents who really are just trying their best and who had to make the agonizing decision of leaving their daughter behind so that she wasn't a pawn in some fucked up game the moon is playing.
I will die on the hill that the Calloways are not bad parents. The Lionett parents are bad parents. Syldor is a bad parent.
Birdie and Ollie love their daughter so much that they're willing enough to fight the literaly moon-prison that has moon-fey-aliens and is currently housing two unnamed long-forgotten gods.
Do with that information what you will. If that's not parental love, then I dont know what is.
yeah. it's all a bit rich coming from the guy that stabbed santa and terrorized a small shop owner and attacked his own party member and wasn't going to tell the rest of them or apologize until prompted by orym. I feel like the fandom is so dismissive when it comes to chetney and his actions because "that's just who he is!" as if that's not a slippery slope of morality.
and the same people who want to demonize birdie and ollie for justifying working with ira as a means to an end are so quick to dismiss the extreme violence of ashton, chetney, imogen, and laudna. and I'm not excusing birdie or ollie (who should have asked ira many more questions) or blaming bell's hells (who are often defending themselves in response to threat), but the fact that the fandom refuses to see this as the double standard it so often is is... troubling.
be consistent about your issues with characters. otherwise you're just telling on yourself.
