for all the flack it gets, bdsp is the most fun ive had with a pokemon game in a While? my mom got me the bundle for my birthday and at first I was like 😬 but since they're 1:1 remakes of diamond and pearl theyre still like. pretty dang fun. its def Easier than the original dppt but thats less due to handholdy mechanics and more about quality of life changes, like showing type effectiveness in-battle and always having the exp share on by default.

as much as I wish i was being challenged a teeny bit more I never actually finished any pkmn games when I was a kid (...without cheating) because i'd always get hung at a part where I'd need to lvl grind my whole damn team and it was so slow and tedious and painful that I hated every second and while grinding mechanics aren't inherently bad . it Sucked in the early gen pkmn games and you can't change my mind. removing some of the grinding has made it so I can just... have fun playing the game. still though ilca theres a balance to be struck here with reduced grinding and not ohkoing all the gym leaders . i'd like both please. ilca please . ilca

and wrt handholding . again bcus 1:1 remake it feels like a Return To Form for pokemon to me. When I was a kid like 90% of the appeal to me was not actually doing the gym quest or battling (i avoided trainers on routes like it was a stealth minigame and nearly Always had repels on), it was just. getting to vibe in this really awesome and unique fantasy world and make friends with every animal I saw. i gave very few fucks about the plot. I just wanted to run around and look at all of the places and find all the creatures.

im a stalwart defender of sumo overall and still had plenty of fun with it but god I wish it had more opportunities to just Vibe before the postgame. Time Pressure was always a Thing in sumo, someone was Always waiting for you Somewhere and it was Urgent so you Couldn't Dilly Dally, and then like. when i was released into the postgame I realized I hadn't explored a lot of the places that weren't directly on my path between Plot Locations and then subsequently realized there weren't that many places left to explore.

but in bdsp it's just like. heres a world. you're a kid. you're doing the gym challenge. go on an adventure. and its just.... SO refreshing + nostalgic. instead of "ill be waiting for you in the next town be sure to arrive soon so the world doesn't explode" theres a lot of "hey, you should head towards this place. it could help you on your quest :)" which is Sooooo nice

anyways probably the most Handholdy mechanic they added to bdsp is that on the pause menu they added a little text box that points you towards your next goal - i.e. "defeat the pastoria gym leader" or "head towards lake valor" or whatever. which i think hits the spot Perfectly, at least for me personally, bc I know I just. straight up would forget what I needed to do when I was a kid (less so now. but still a little now) without dragging you from place to place by force yknow

also the chibi art isnt that bad. the game looks... fine. could definitely be better . definitely IS better than that first trailer. definitely still prefer the pixel sprites and definitely still clinging to my pet theory that being forced to switch to a 3d art style instead of continuing to build on the pixel sprite style was a stumbling block for the franchise and they have yet to recover. but it doesnt feel like the chibi style is at fault here

anyways ive been having a good time playing shining pearl and really missed this pokemon playstyle more than i realized and even though i was planning on skipping them im glad they were given to me bc im enjoying it. thank you for coming to my post

I just wanna talk about Captain America for a minute. All three that we've seen on film. Steve, John, and Sam. (Also, I am saying right now that I am a white person so I have never experienced racism and will probably not even come close to sharing how much power this show holds) .....not gonna be mentioning Isaiah's story in this post because I dont need to cry while writing this. And I, as a white person, dont wanna be disrespectful to his story and how much it means and the emotion it holds.

I'm gonna start with John cause he means the least to me but I still definitely feel the need to mention him. I'll get into the symbolism he has in his suit and just everything later but first I'm gonna talk about his character. I actually like his character now, and I originally hated him as almost everyone else did (I would like to just say I'm not one of the fans harassing Wyatt Russell, hes a very talented ACTOR dont hate on him) but then they completely changed my mind. Hell no is he worthy of being Captain America, but he's not a bad man. He hated what he did and that he got celebrated for it in that war, he cared a lot about Lemar and wanted to give Lemar's parents peace in thinking he got him justice and then when revenge was right in front of him, he turned away from it to try and save those people. He seemed to respect Sam and that's big to me with how the last episode started tbh. He saw he wasnt meant to be Cap. I dont think where he's headed next is gonna exactly be the look of a hero (probably anti hero, maybe villain but I doubt it tbh) and I'm so excited to see what they do with him. Now to his symbolism- starting with the suit. There was little to no white on the suit, which that's meant to stand for purity and innocence. He mainly had blue, which stands for vigilance, perseverance, and justice. There was a little bit of red which represents hardiness and valor ("great courage in the face of danger, especially in battle.") Steve's suit, was mainly Blue and white. Sam's is basically all white but with the other two colors having the same amount as each other. John is meant to be similar but also opposite of Steve, the one who is the perfect soldier more so than a good man. A man who's always had power.

Then there's Steve. Maybe my favorite character but that will be decided later. I'm not gonna talk about how mad at his story ending I am because that will make this a billion times longer than it already is. His story starts out with him being chosen to be a hero because he was a good person. He represented hope for many people. He saved so many, and was willing to sacrafice himself to save almost anyone. He gave up the shield for Bucky, his best friend, multiple times. He was my favorite for almost exactly two years. Because before Endgame I actually got into Marvel and binged all MCU films (well, almost all) and just from his first movie he was my favorite. His morals, what he fought for, why he became Captain America. He means a lot to me in so many ways and honestly is who I think of first with Marvel but that's coming to a change quickly. I cant explain very well just how much I loved his character but I just did. I'll go more into him later on but I wanna get to the bigger part of this, the one who makes me extremely emotional. (Not that Steve doesnt but still)

Sam. He, his probably my favorite MCU character. He means so much to me and I'm not even a person of color. He fought for everyone. In just one episode. He told Isaiah's story, he didnt let Karli die in vain, and he held up his promise and cleared Sharon's name. He SO deserves to be captain america and the title change at the end of the show is just the best thing I could think of. He helped Bucky figure out what to do next, he listened to all their stories and tried to help them all and succeeded. He, a black man, is now the face of America. He trained, and he fought to make sure he was worthy of that shield and as someone who that shield does actually mean a lot to, it makes me so emotional to see that. I dont know why, but every time I watch that episode (mightve watched it three or four times already what about it) I get so emotional whenever hes on screen or mentioned as being captain America. I get so proud and happy knowing that. I almost cry every single damn time. He got to save his home, and save so many people who he cares about. I'm getting really tired cause it's getting late for me so I'm gonna end this here (might continue this tomorrow/today) but that's just a little bit of my rant. Idk if anyone cares about it but I just had to talk about it.

I can make any argument on why Henry is better than your fave. I'm gonna make a few examples and I can add more to fight your fave.

1.) Hector

So people like Hector a lot because he is a big swole man who can protect you and he is freakishly handsome and confident about himself, right? Literally Henry is all that (minus the swole but he doesn't need to be swol bean to be best bean)

Henry can defend you with his insanely powerful magical abilities. He knows pretty much everything about curses and could kill anyone who even does so much as to look at you wrong. If you want a man to protect you, Henry is your guy.

And you want a handsome boi who is confident about himself? Henry is the most handsome jou of them all! He knows how good his magic is and pretty confident about his abilities as a dark mage and as a hexer. He never doubts his magic and never doubts his ability to kill. Yet Again, Henry is your guy.

You know what Henry has that Hector doesn't? Forced and restrained marraige. You cant marry Hector in his game, but you can marry Henry. Sure, none of the possible S rank pairs Hector has are canon, but none of them are you.

Henry is better than your fave.

2.) Marth

So Marth is a fan favorite because he is the OG protagonist, right? He is also charming, strong, modest, regal, and a pretty boy. Guess what? Henry is Charming, Strong, and a Pretty Boy too. He may not be regal nor royal, but he never is too overbearing about his abilities and accomplishments.

Henry is heckin charming. Like, he would be more than happy to takw a crow feather and weave it in your hair, compliment your smile and eyes, compliment your valor on the battlefield, comment how gorgeous you look when you jave the blood of your wnemies splattered all over you, exetera. He is more than happy to compliment you, help you out with literally any task, and make you feel special. If you want a charming fella, Henry is your guy.

Henry is like sooooo pretty. Like his white hair and pale skin is such a nice contrast to his deep purple and peweter gray garments lined with gold designs. He doesnt use unbearable colors (using a base of maybe three or four colors) and he is a skinny yet tol boi. He's just really pretty a f his smile is pretty and when he opens his eyes they are pretty. Henry is a really pretty boi.

You know what Marth has? A canon wife. He and Caeda are canon and in love. Marth already had the love of his life. You know what Marth doesnt have? Free time for you. He is busy running a kingdom and fighting there is no time for romance and he would be stressed. Henry doesnt deal with either of those.

3.) Niles

Niles is a flirtatious bisexual tan man who is ruggedly handsome and very feline-like. He is also a bad boy~ He works as a retainer to Leo and has a tragic past. Guess what? Henry is handsome, kinda cat-like if yoh stretch it, a bad boy, and has an even more tragic past than Niles. His sexuality is also uncertain but that doesn't exactly matter...

So the tragic backstory part! Yeah, Henry' parents neglected him alot so he used to spend time in the woods where a white wolf basically became hos surrogate (right word?) Mother, but a hunter shot her before his eyes so he had a magical awakening and unleashed unheard of black magic that was more powerful than anyone had ever seen, so the parents sent him away. Depending on the localization, it was either to an Orphanage or Wizard School where nobody liked him and he had no friends because he was too weird. That's where he started making friends with the crows that always hung around the school and diving into the dark arts on his own. He learned to smile to make everyone believe he was fine and stay away because he knew they wanted to. So if you're into boys with a tragic backstory, Henry is your man.

You want a bad boy? I can give you a bad boy, and his name is Henry. Dark Mage? Evil magic and always tampering with the dead and laughing in the face of danger? He is a MEGA bad boy! But yoy are probably thinking the rebellious and sexy kind of bad boy. Henry's american localization could easily go yandere so he could be a bad boy if you really wanted him to be. He also countless times in supports he offers to kill Chrom: Leader of the Shepards. That's pretty bad and rebellious to me just saying. Henry could be a bad boy.

You know what Henry has that Niles doesn't have? Magic. Niles can't cast awesome spells, summon risen, or turn people into toads. He can't kill a person without having a single scratch on their body. You know what else Niles doesn't have? The ability to be a good Dad. Nina hates her father, but in every single ending of Awakening if Henry is married it says he was a surprisingly good father. No daddy issues whatsoever.

4.) Claude

So I actually haven't played three houses yet so I am going off heroes and the spoilers I read but trust me Henry is better than Claude.

Claude is a very tricky boy. He likes to set traps and do a sneak and he is heckin bisexual. He is an EXTREMELY pretty boy and, let's face it, a better Niles and he's on horseback! But wanna know a secret? Henry is a tricky boy too. He is very pretty, like said before, and I am having a sudden blank on the mind because it's eleven at night but HERE WE GO!

Henry is a tricky little bastard, just like Claude. Henry literay did go behind everyone's back and learn how to summon risen after all. He also has all his crow friends he can have fetch stuff and steal stuff for him. He is also a playful little bastard if you couldn't tell from his, for a lack of better words, immature personality. He scares Ricken for fun and traded bodies with Sumia just for fun and went on a joyride in her body in his supports with them respectively. He is a fun, tricky little shit and I love him.

Guess what Henry has that Claude doesn't have? Burdens of being a royal and insecurities about it. Insecurities aren't cute. They are little hatreds people have to face and overcome to have a good self image. If people think that's cute then they are messed up. Claude needs to go on that journey with himself while Henry went on that journey and overcame it now. Henry doesn't have repression issues. It's okay to want to help out with someone's issues, but it ain't okay to fetishize it like I know a lot of people do with characters like Claude. Just a PSA. But that doesn't make Henry a better character, just a more internally developed one. And because od his self-development....

I feel like maybe doodling my kid self, for some reason?? Like embrace the nostalg and also show some love to that awkward lil kid who didnt really know who they were yet. Its interesting how much i've changed over the years!

Hell i might even draw personas of myself dressed as all the protags from all the different generations? But they'd be mostly the same for like the first 20 years, just me getting real tall and fat lol. I had almost floor length hair for SO LONG it felt really freeing to chop it all off and i never went back! I think i kept it cos it was loke.. Camoflage? The only 'girly' thing i had so i could pretend to myself that i was straight and cis. Plus a literal shield cos i could be 90% hair and just one eye poking out XD So yeah it'd be funny looking at me over time, its just this girly-looking kid getting increasingly more macho outfits and increasingly more girly hair and increasingly more socially anxious, until within the space of 18-25 i suddenly have this giant self discovery freedom explosion and change completely! Its funny how if anything i look less masculine now? Like im way more comfortable with the fact that i'm someone in between genders, and its not a binary of having to be something i'm not just to escape some other thing i'm not. Its also kinda funny how these gender roles felt so restrictive when i was crammed into one of them, yet dressing with both at once seems just as freeing as having neither. Tho still no matter how i dress i always get misgendered one way or another since non-binary acceptance is still far from the norm. But still im so much more me than i've ever been before, and its great to look back so i can realize how far i've come!

So lol maybe i'll just draw old kid me playing "her" first pokemon game, and leave out the next decade and a half of the same thing but taller. And i could just draw current me in a few different attempts at a pokemon outfit? Like when i did my sprite edits i just did me in my usual outfit i wear IRL, now im thinking maybe i shoulda designed a wish fullfillment ideal gym leader costume or something? Tho im too lazy to start the sprite edit project all over again with this new design lol. Oh and maybe also draw my pokemon go outfit? I dont wear it all the time but i had a fun lil look i wore the other day that i ended up laughing at cos i accidentalky wore all blue even tho i picked Team Valor! Now i wanna wear it all the time lol. Oo and maybe cosplay as my fave characters? If i cant afford to do it IRL i can at least draw it!

So yeh in summary somehow i feel really confident in my identity today and i wanna draw pics of me. Mild ego time!!! Or rather just wishing i could fly back in time and motivate my kid self by showing them that they woukd actually have the freedom to be themself some day. I dont even really think of it as "I used to be a girl" but just that i was always feeling this way and didnt know the words for it, or that other people felt the same way and it wasnt an 'abomination against god'. And for some reason playing a gane with selectable genders really helped me let out some of my feelings during that confused childhood of absolute repression. "I just pick a random gender each time cos it doesnt really matter right? Doesnt everyone just pick the one with the outfit they'd rather wear?" I absolutely knew that was a lame excuse and none of these other kids actually felt that way, but at least it kept people from suspecting i had queer reasons for my queer actions. In a time where i didnt even know what queer meant except that it was Somehow Bad. Gah, this is why sex education needs to be inclusive! Even when i was old enough to learn about straight sex i apparantly wasnt old enough to learn about gay and trans people! Let alone asexuality lol... Man it was a whole nother mess to be dealing with an anomolous lack of sexual attraction at the same time as i was repressing something everyone told me was 'inherantly too dirty for teenagers to know about'. For so long i was just told that crossdressing was 'a sick fetish men have for wearing women's underwear' not just.. A woman is a woman and is telling you she's a woman and you wont listen to her. And for some reason they always obsessed with MTF trans folk in these sensationalist hate sermons, i guess because 'a man who gets off on dressing like a woman' just sounds like the more disgusting version when youre a sexist homophobic transphobic piece of shit throwing your bigotry at children. And at the same time also aphobic and telling me i need surgery on my genitals if i dont want sex. Mannnn kids those days.. i really hope kids these days have it better! I hope everyone who dealt with that shit managed to find love and support eventually, even if its still a damn crime they had it denied to them during their most important childhood years. The whole concept of 'an innocent carefree childhood' is so unknown to me, its ironic people claim they want to keep "lgbt politics" away from children in order to preserve that innocent childhood...

Aaaaanyway im rambling lol! In summary pokemon was one of my only coping methods during that childhood and the only small way i could pretend someone accepted me. Even if it was just by whispering no when the professor said 'are you a boy or a girl' and being happy at the little genderless mons like magnemite or the legendaries. I dont think i would have ever realized it was actually POSSIBLE and had words for the complex dysphoria i was feeling, if i hadnt played this dumb lil series of games.

Anyway thats probably also why i never had any attatchment to gen 1 despite being born right as the first wave of pokemania was coming out. The memories i have of those times are complex. Im just excited to revisit kanto as a new and happy person and maybe make new memories! I already barely remembered actual Yellow compared to FRLG, it was kind of a trip to play it on virtual console and remember all the tiny bits of sexist writing that games used to have during that era. It was like 'whoa i never noticed this was wrong as a kid, this finally explains why it made me uncomfortable!' Also the gameplay was glitchy and the plot nonexistant and the translation rudimentary and limited. And the mons weren't very good and i prefer pretty much every other generation and especially Garbodor and Vanillite, dammit!

So yeah like i said im happy that Let's Go has managed to make me hype even thougj i didnt enjoy kanto the first time around! And its good how much it represents my journey out of that shitty childhood so now i can revisit it and pretend this is my first time and None Of That Happened, Thanks

He joined the Minutemen because he wanted to do something nice, and he joined the Brotherhood of Steel because he needed that familiar military aesthetic.

What’s their sexual, romantic, and gender orientation? Do they feel comfortable telling other people?- Julian is Bisexual and Biromantic, he identifies as a male and before the war he was closeted and was very afraid of telling anyone but after the war he is out and proud !

Do they move around a lot or prefer to have a place to call home?- Julius moved around a lot until he got his own tent at The Fort. 

What’s their favorite location?- Warren Theatre in downtown Boston !! nice and quiet !! also Starlight Drive-In becuase that’s where he lives !!

OK SO TO START OUT a quick summary of this character: marion tremblay, 26 years old, they/them pronouns, a courier six (but i might write them into a non-six role idk) with Sight Gone Wrong. imagine savestates, but the character only experiences the "canonical" ie last save. so they go from neutral to knowing exactly how to process a situation, but it causes a LOT of stress on them, including an incredibly distinctive negative feeling when a "save" occurs and nightmares depicting all the plays gone wrong. in addition, the successful path isnt always harmless, and often leads to heavy injury - just not death. not to mention the fact that the successful path doesnt always help people theyre trying to help, just them.

marion is incredibly stressed and doesnt get it, runs into danger and knows exactly what to do, doesnt know why, doesnt understand how it all adds together, and doesnt understand to maybe take it a little slower. then again, when they try to chill out and live normally the nightmares just get worse and worse. so basically they self medicate to dull the dreams a bit and it just makes everything even more stressful.

theyre a courier/jack of all trades/mercenary type that uses a recharger pistol, and has no self of self preservation. is struggling, indulges often, and is impossibly easy to charm. does things for the fuck of it, anxious, hesitantly affectionate, eventually very protective and supportive, childish and constantly tired lol.

OK SO... marion was part of a pretty biggish family closer up north, just kind of, they did business and were vaguely well off. they were always pretty pretentious and loved reading books n shit, tinkering with tech, so their parents were v happy with it. then around the age of thirteen their sight started kicking in, which manifested itself at first as just like a really heavy uneasy feeling whenever something was about to happen, and later kind of... worked itself into what it is now. anyway, they didnt cope very well with it and ended up fucking up a lot of relationships and things when they booked it at about seventeen.

at which point they kind of became a jack of all trades, constantly travelling, settling generally in the mojave. courier mostly at first, then eventually also a mercenary when the business started booming. they constantly had like, at least a couple dozen things going on, so occasionally they would forget a job or two. but considering their sight, they more or less had the ability to go into places that literally no one else could and come out bruised and bloodied but alive. so generally? business was good.

they did a lot of putzing around the strip, helped the followers a bit, etc. just generally has a little bit of history in most parts of the mojave.

after they got shot they forgot some... importantish things, but anyway they eventually fucked off, got ed-e, wandered around, rescued raul+visited him until they eventually just invited him along.

Does it depend on the situation? they have the ability to be pretty selfless for the most part since theyre pretty well off from all the work they did before getting shot in the head. on the other hand, theyre not really used to hanging out with other people so theyre kind of selfish when it comes to food n stuff, at least until they got sassed enough for it

Or do they shake it off rather easily? they really hate it. but honestly they get worse nightmares if they dont keep doing things, like constantly. they prefer to not really have to kill people, so tend to like... threaten and bluster their way through things pretty often. they wont chase down a fleeing enemy unless theyre really super in the zone

Fear it, accept it) definitely fear. they pretty much cant die, so theyre pretty confident about it, but its mostly because they manage to disconnect so much from situations that it basically just gives them night terrors. like i said before, complete disconnection from their own emotions. basically a whole lot of marions problems could be fixed by accepting that maybe running into danger is a bad idea, even if they basically cant die.

well…(still working)…he was born on 13 feb 2045, his parents, Ryan Hudson-Zander was a Brigadier-General, and Olivia Zander was a pharmarcist, as a kid, Vaughn was always fascinated about medicine and his big dream was to be a doctor. he also had a cousin, Vincent Hudson (belongs to @theartofblossoming), and they were like brothers, having fun and always took care of each other. Much later, with the support of his mother (his father never supported him) he managed to get into Harward Medical School in Boston. after he graduated, he worked for a short time in a small clinic (he also meet Nora in that time), but then his father forced him to get in the army as a combat medic. it wasnt easy for him, he did managed to save lives, but the fact that some soldiers didnt had any chances to live did affected him, he also was forced to fight in defense lines…also he learned how to use heavy weapons and a Power Armor. after finding out that his father and his cousin were killed on the battlefield, he signed off and got back home, also much later he married Nora and had a baby. Vaughn did got a job at a hospital, but then the bombs fell…

nicknames? his cousin used to call him “Vonny”, Hancock calls him “Sunshine”, Piper calls him “Blue”, Danse calls him “Soldier”

cisgender male, panromantic bisexual. it was kinda problematic to reveal his own sexuality before the war (cause of his strict father) but now? he is total comfortable…

he suffers from depression and anxiety, and he does tries to cope it pretty well (he does have bad days, but his friends support him anytime); when he has bad days, he usually sorts out his stuff, reads books, play with Dogmeat, listen to the music, talks with his friends, tries to help out people, also he tries to get more sleep.

umm…idk if this can be considered medical condition, but he was shot in left leg by Kellogg, and since then he has pains there…he kinda uses TOO MUCH Med-X to numb out the pain during combat…also he has a weak sight, even with glasses its difficult for him to see at distance., and his sense of smell is busted up, he was punched by a raider so hard that his nose can no longer smell properly (tho that is good in the Commonwealth, no?)

he also bought the Home Plate in Diamond City, sometimes he stays in Goodneighbor with Hancock, or stops in any settlement for a break.

he feels sorry for the ferals and he believes they need to be put out of their misery.

and with normal ghouls, he has no problem, he believes they are like normal humans…tho first time when he saw a ghoul he was kinda scared, but Preston explained how are they like and no need to be scared.

45. Do they scavenge for their supplies or simply buy them?

fuckin cheapskate would break his own back for some desk fans and other useless things than to buy them! tho he buys ammo and food.

46. Are they the type to get distracted and go off to an unknown nearby location or do they stay on track?

if he is on a mission, he does stay on his track…but if he is off exploring, he goes to investigate places (but only if his companion is close to him, he is very scared when he is alone!)

47. How do they sleep? Are they picky about where and how or can they sleep basically anywhere?

at the begining he was so picky! now he prefers to sleep where is safe, tho he still comments on the bed’s state, or sleeps on couch.

48. What’s their favorite radio station and song? (post-apocalypse)

DIAMOND CITY RADIO!!

49. What’s their favorite post-apocalyptic food? Are they a picky eater? Do they know how to cook?

call him Chef Vaughn! he loves to cook! even with these radiated food, he manages to clear them out and make a delicious meal. his companions loves what he cooks, and Nick feels sorry he cant eat lmao. he loves Deathclaw steak, ribeye steak, radstag steak, any food before the war (except Deviled Eggs - how can some eggs still be good after 210 years?), radscorpion ommlete, noodle soup…like everything, except meat from bugs. also he likes to give to the companions that leave Sanctuary often lunchboxes with food, like Hancock gets one, Piper gets 2 for her and Nat, Nick gets one for Ellie, Preston gets one, even MacCready gets one.

50. What’s their favorite beverage? Do they drink alcohol?

he likes to drink wine and beer, but he doesnt mind other drinks!

51. Do they have any tag skills?

umm??

52. Anything they like to collect? (ex. Unique weapons, Bobbleheads)

yep! he loves to collect books (whatever is still intact), magazines, legendary weapons or special pieces of armor, bobbleheads…umm…human bones…(he was a medic in the war so maybe he is still fascinated by anatomy and stuff like that). 

 53. Are they good at disarming traps or do they constantly miss them?

he does actually manages to disarm them!

Alice’s adventures in wonderland (005):

 “Down, down, down, how far have i fallen now?”

 “Oh, why did i cry so much?”

 “Never get angry” ((thats a bad advice caterpillar)).

 The Stranger (006):

 “I may not have been sure about what really did interest me, but I was absolutely sure about what didn’t.”

PS: i remember i hated this book because i saw myself within Mersault, he is really, uh how you say it in english? Huraño, distant? aloof? he is portrayed as someone detached and emotionless, just the same way as i portray myself to the world and ppl around me. He is very impassive and he doesn’t really think about events or consequences and i was like ‘okay same!’, i think thats bad, he feels content with his indifference over the world, maybe bc he is protecting himself from pain (like me). He is so casual and indifferent over life events, i was pissed when Marie (his gf) asked if he wanted to marry her and he said he didnt cared lmao, that he would do it if she wanted to, and i was like bitch tf!!?? but at the same time i was like 'okay…me’ It made me reflect on myself and how i react when he killed the arab and he didnt showed any signs of guilt or remorse, there i was like 'okay thats not me’. His behavior is so distant and unresponsive, and he literally sees life and the people around him with despair, he appears to be so apathetic, its, its fucking annoying and amazing and it honestly makes me think about myself and how i make the world see me, its, ugh. It was a good book but i did not liked the fact that i could see so much of myself in the main character, a few moments ago when i was pondering about this i started to really think that…i, don’t want to be seen like that, and its scary to know that people could actually see me being that way, behaving that way, responding that way, because i know that i have done it, and now i dont like it anymore, as much as i want people to see me as someone 'mysterious’ i dont want them to see me as someone who doesnt care about her surroundings damn this book, it was a good book though, annoying as fuck, and it bored me and pissed me off, but its still a good book, i will carry with me the lesson i have learned from it, so, thanks joonie for the recommendation.

 Acuerdo 2 - No te tomes nada personalmente: Cuando nos tomamos personalmente lo que alguien nos dice, suponemos que sabe lo que hay en nuestro mundo e intentamos imponérselo por encima del suyo.

 'Si eres veraz contigo mismo, te ahorrarás mucho dolor emocional.

 Acuerdo 3 - No hacer suposiciones. La manera de evitar suposiciones es preguntar.

 Acuerdo 4 - Haz siempre lo maximo que puedas. Si haces lo maximo que puedas viviras con gran intensidad. Vivir con plenitud. No necesitamos saber ni probar nada. Ser, arriesgarnos a vivir y disfrutar de nuestra vida, es lo unico que importa.
