nothing pisses me off more than people praised for ~doing something amazing~ when the actual product is mediocre and the only reason they had to work so hard is because they failed to properly delegate.
#my school had its ''''''fall festival''''''' today and like sure my first graders enjoyed it because they have no life experience#and have nothing to compare it to#but like. as someone who a) remembers what fall festival was like at my elementary school in the same district 20 yrs ago#and b) have a number of friends who have planned decently large-scale events#the entire thing was so underwhelming and poorly planned!!!!!#even like. not getting inclement weather plans in order until less than a week before the event holy shit.#and like i dont even want to think about the accounting (probably non existent)#like i know enough about what goes into large events to know not to get involved but jesus Christ#and to see everyone praising it when teachers involved Literally Didn't Do Their Jobs yesterday#it wasnt quite dashcon levels of oof simply because 6#simply because kids appreciate a day of not having to do school work#but it was close
