To the Adrian x Darius shipper. I don't hate you at all - I find this ship very amusing & funny LOL It makes no sense, they're just queer-coded villains (one subverts the other plays right into that trope) they get on each others nerves, petty as hell, united together to get on everybody else's nerves Adrian & Eber dynamic is just Tom & Jerry - Adrian is a walking L and you know Darius absolutely loves that They're just funny to me LOL, I personally don't ship it in a serious romantic way, but anybody who does - hell yea! go for it! haleee!!! hiya! i got so confused when you changed your url but all is good now 😅, also pls tell me about this mega dr? i'm very curious (only if you want to ofc)

jkhdsakjhsdkfh it's okay i don't know which name i want to go by bc all my DR selves have different names (here is where i would put a skull emoji if i wasnt on my laptop). i literally cannot wait to post about my crossover DR so ty for asking i need to rant about all the scripting i did today instead of schoolwork:

my name in the mega-DR is riley (edit: no it's not it's hale)! i'm the adoptive child of the dupain-chengs (mlb) and the emilys (fnaf). i scripted that tom and henry are cousins, and henry's family moved in with us after his first wife died. the aftons live (and the emilys used to live) in london.

the dupain-chengs have two biological kids- marinette (of course) and nicolas. nicolas is about a year older than marinette and three years older than me. henry (who i also call dad lmao) has two kids- the daughter he had with his first wife, charlie, and the son he has with his current wife, who is also my OR mother (who i also call mom), sammy. charlie is about eight, and sammy is still drinking out of a bottle, he's like one-and-a-half. i'll list out all the DR ages at the end bc i already know this is about to get confusing as hell.

biologically, i'm the child of phoenix delvaux (half witch from the boiling isles, half human) and valentine morgenstern (tmi). this is because i wanted a loving father figure but also didn't want to script out my daddy issues. anyways, this makes me a quarter witch, a quarter human, and half shadowhunter (i'm the main character frfr). bio mom and sabine were cousins (sabine is fully human, they are related on the human side).

but wait! that's not all- valentine had connections in the human world (pre-being evil ofc) and who are these connections but tony stark and bruce wayne (bruce is my godfather and tony is kinda like his brother or family friend). consequently i see peter (who has been tony's sort-of apprentice, sort-of child for most of his life in this DR) quite a bit growing up (i call him my brother even though he's like... my paternal godcousin at best?) as well as all of the batkids, who i also refer to as my siblings. this confuses every single one of my friends in paris to no end, because they have literally no idea who i'm talking about. in addition, talia (dc) is my godmother through sabine.

so anyways, i grew up with my biological father (valentine) in southern canada (i know he's not from there, but he's on the run-ish, and that's where i'm from in my OR). my maternal godfather darius (toh) eventually figured out that my mom had a kid and came to find me when i was about seven. he wanted to take me back to the demon realm and raise me as a witch, but also told me that my mom had living family (sabine). i of course wanted to meet them, and i ended up staying in the human realm with them. darius visits often, and the whole family visits him in the demon realm over summer holiday. this is how i meet my friends in the boiling isles.

anyways my mum (OR mom) connects me to the rest of my OR family that i scripted into this DR, but i won't talk too much about them here. i will however mention auncle raine and uncle eber, who live with my dad (darius), and who we live with while we're in-realm.

during the summer i sit in on some of the nearby magic school classes to get a sense of what's going on. the schools nearby to dad's (darius') place are hexside, where i meet my boiling isles friends, and hogwarts, where i meet my hogwarts friends. i'm going to have to make more posts about this DR soon because this one is already so long, but i literally cannot wait to keep talking about this.

Since everyone is talking about Belos' past anyway with the Hollow Mind portraits, I thought I might as well share my ideas/receipts about how Belos concealed his past when presenting himself as Emperor.

Like he's been a public figure in the Boiling Isles for a long time. So I was wondering how much others knew or suspected about the truth. Here's what I've come up with:

1. There are traces of Philip still around.

S2E4 Gwendolyn tells Luz, “Humans are rare. My great-grandmother told me about a human who once lived here. But one day he just vanished. Rumor has it he left something in the library.”

S2E5 Luz finds an article in the library that tells her: “Hundreds of years ago, there was a human named Philip Wittebane living in Bonesborough. And he donated his diary to this library.”

The diary is so old that it’s kept in the Forbidden Stacks, only accessible by library staff members. It seems unlikely that many people have read it. But even if they did, there doesn’t seem to be anything really connecting it to Belos. Because:

2. Others think Belos is a witch

S1E18 Willow says, “the Emperor is the most skilled witch that's ever lived.”

S1E19 King says, “a mysterious witch appeared who declared that he, and he alone, could speak to the island.”

S1E19 King also says, "He's the Emperor! He's the most powerful witch alive!"

S1E19 Lilith says, "Being in the Emperor's Coven was my dream. I wanted to work alongside the most powerful witch on the Isles and make the world a better place."

I don't remember anything contradicting this. There are demons on the BI that look pretty similar to witches, and demons (like Hooty) can be immortal ig, so it matters to me that Belos was specifically presenting himself as a witch.

That said, the lifespan of witches is never officially confirmed afaik (and I do hate that thanks). Bump gets that throwaway line about 300 years until retirement or whatever. But since we are shipping witches and humans, they have to have similar lifespans. You cannot convince me otherwise lol.

So that makes it even more implausible that the human that showed up and vanished centuries ago is at all related to Belos, the ~most powerful~ witch on the Boiling Isles.

The fact that the Emperor also has a 16 year old nephew lends further credence to the idea that he's a normal witch, aging normally, with normal (if mysterious) family ties.

3. Belos’ appearance

S1E19 The Unauthorized Boiling Isles History reads, “Before he ascended to the throne, Emperor Belos gained prominence as a crusader for unity during the Savage Ages.”

S2E16 We get to see Belos during this crusade period. He definitely already looks old:

We also know that Belos has been Emperor for ~50 years:

S1E17 a Hexside teacher says, “Over 50 years ago, Emperor Belos appointed a head witch to each coven.” [Bonus fun: this means Terra could be the first head of the plant coven]

S1E18 Kikimora says, “Up until 50 years ago, witches and demons practiced wild magic during what we called the Savage Ages [...] until our great Emperor ascended to the throne, and taught witches how to use magic properly.”

So that's 50 years on top of his age when he was crusading. Hasn’t anybody noticed that Belos is unreasonably old for a witch yet? (And if so, what did they think he was?)

I think Belos could have handled this discrepancy by carefully planning how he travels around the island and changing his name as he goes; standard secret immortality stuff. This would also serve the double benefit of making it seem like he has a broader base of support from the start, if there’s the appearance of several crusaders going around spreading the ~good word~.

At some point, though, he did start covering his tracks. By present day (s1), Belos’ Emperor outfit makes his age much more ambiguous:

This is also how he appears in all the official, state-sanctioned portrayals of the Emperor that I remember seeing. Examples:

Which brings me to my main point:

4. History is written by Belos

Lilith is a historian and the former head of the Emperor's Coven. She didn't seem to know any truths about Belos' past. Hunter had access to and was actively reading restricted books about wild magic from the Savage Ages. We get no hint that he came across anything, either.

But they also weren't looking. So let's say you're highly suspicious of Belos and actively digging into his past. How much could you find out about him? We already have the official narrative: Belos ended the Savage Ages and united witchkind 50 years ago. So what about the unofficial narrative?

This brings us back to The Unauthorized Boiling Isles History from S1E19. This is a book owned by Eda, the most infamous wild witch on the Boiling Isles. Here's King's full narration from this scene:

A mysterious witch appeared who declared that he, and he alone, could speak to the island. He said that we were using magic all wrong. His teachings took hold, his strength grew, and he became... Emperor Belos. Belos said that mixing magic was wrong, that only he had that right. So he created the coven system. And there, our knowledge was restricted, and our potential sealed away. Those who resist are called wild witches, and they face harsh punishment. Emperor Belos has since retreated into his castle. There are whispers that say he's planning something big.

King's narration is different from the text on the page. Here's the page on Belos:

“He rules by fear and an iron fist, and his past remains largely unknown.”

So it sounds like Belos has indeed done a very good job of establishing and maintaining information control. He has erased his past so thoroughly that even an unauthorized history book offers no real rumors or speculation. Both inside the castle and in pockets of dissent, we find no trace of the truth of Belos' past. It is believable to me that even highly-ranked coven officials who are suspicious of Belos and actively looking for information about his past from inside the castle still wouldn't be able to find anything at this point.

With that said: there are probably rumors. There probably are witches who remember Belos from his crusades and grew suspicious. They probably did try to spread the word and warn others.

At the same time, I’m sure that there are plenty of witches saying plenty of things about Belos. Belos is the most influential and powerful witch on the Boiling Isles, after all. So looking at it from the perspective of someone trying to piece together the truth:

How plausible does it sound that the witch ruling the Boiling Isles is actually a human? How plausible does it sound that he’s actually 400+ years old? How do either or both of those rumors weigh up against all of the other scraps of information and official propaganda and baseless conspiracy theories that you’re also coming across?

How much are either of these rumors worth considering if your primary concern is to, say, try to figure out what’s actually going to happen on the Day of Unity?

(At what point do you decide to just go straight to the source?)

i keep thinking darius would really respect camila.

just would be really appreciative of what seems like her down-to-earth nature and her parenting and like her everything.

darius would be 100% impressed with how camila rescued vee and handled jacob. just impressed with how camila immediately shut jacob’s nonsense down.

ofc darius is also utterly grateful to camila for taking hunter and the other kids in during the immediate aftermath of the dou disaster.

i like to think they’ll bond. darius is actually the first of the adult witches camila warms up to. darius is her first witch friend.

i think there’d be far less baggage than with someone like eda that would help make this happen quicker, and i just think camila would be charmed with darius, and would want to help when darius seeks her advice on parenting.

(and eda’s just quick to see this and quick to enlist darius’s help in trying to smooth things over between her and camila so that it feels less awkward, try to use him as an intermediary, which darius grudgingly tries to do for eda--he’s willing to do this for eda after everything she’s done for the boiling isles; darius is just more grudging because even he’s not entirely sure how to actually do what eda wants but he’s trying. this lasts until raine like intervenes and says there’s a limit to what darius can do and that it’s still a matter between eda and camila.)

darius most looks to camila for parental advice, considers her an ideal parent to ask for insight. (again, he’s come to deeply respect her.) camila finds she likes helping darius and hunter find their footing as a new family, and she’s already fond of hunter after taking him and the other kids in. then she likes just talking to darius as a fellow parent, and then about other facets of their lives.

also camila and eberwolf bond as well, at first over swapping knowledge on veterinary science and beast keeping magic, they’re both fascinated with each other’s disciplines.

and i’m kinda inclined to think darius would want to investigate the human realm further, specifically gravesfield, because he wants more answers on belos and his mentor and where they came from and how the whole traumatic mess started (hunter too, it’s something they do together). and eventually, despite the painful feelings it triggers for him, darius does genuinely develop a specific personal interest in the human realm as...well, it comparatively feels more calm than the boiling isles. which tbh he does have a complicated relationship with at this point. darius absolutely wants to help the boiling isles. the boiling isles also has way more painful memories for him, way more than the human realm, even more than the gravesfield revelations. so far, being in the human realm...really is a way to get away from all of that for a break, and he does like that. it’s a reprieve. and he and eber get to hang out with camila more, and hunter and flapjack get to visit luz and camila and vee in their home realm too.

darius also gets interested in theater and fashion from the human realm.

camila’s gained another daughter from the demon realm and she knows her firstborn’s found additional love/friendship/family there, but i like the idea of camila also gaining her own friend in darius from the demon realm, and then with the other adult witches too. things do get less awkward between camila and eda and they bond too. but i like to think that out of the adult witches, camila remains closest to darius.

and camila is also like darius’s first friend after the long conflict with belos and the double life he led.

Brainstorming my roleswap au, that I may or may not write/and or draw

Hunter and Luz swap; Hunter, who happens to be a grimwalker, is the adopted son of Camila while Luz is The Golden Guard who is also Camila's daughter that ran away when she was just a kid. (Ran away, as in: found a portal, walked into said portal, met with the emperor and now can't go home.)

Lilith swaps with Eda. To make it funny, Lilith has beef with Hunter, the teenager, at first before reluctantly gaining a soft spot for him... and seeing him as a son holy shit that's her baby why won't the world let him rest

Eda still has a motherly relationship with Luz, The Golden Guard; she worries for the young girl and often looked out for her, even when Luz said she was fine.

Hunter (swapped with Luz), Amity (swapped with Willow), and Matt (swapped with Gus) as a friendgroup because it's funny. It's like Mean Girls with a bunch of unhinged, sort-of mean gays.

Definitely gonna have an enemies to lovers plot with Luz and Amity, just like in canon! Except with maybe more trauma and violence and locking your future lover up in a cell because you wanted her to join your coven ^_^

Collector is a little guy swapped around with King! He's an 8 year old immortal space child, who doesn't understand a lot of things, who claimed Lilith as their mama and Hunter as their older brother. (Just a little guy! Make sure you don't play tag with him, though)

Darius and Raine swap here, and I have no idea who the hell Eber would swap with!

Darius and Lilith would be platonic in this au ofc. Sometimes you push away friends even when you need them the most.

That moment when you come up with angsty headcanons about minor characters

Professor Hermonculus:

He still thinks about why his father hates him. He’s cried about it to Bump on two occasions: After he ran away from home and stayed with Bump and after Any Sport in a Storm when he was thinking about his behavior.

Speaking of which, you know that spiky headed kid with the sloth palisman? Believe it or not, Herm actually related to him. The two were having a conversation before class and at one point, the kid said “My dad doesn’t like me.”, to which Herm replied “Oh…I’m sorry. Mine didn’t either.” ….Yeah

Herm gets jealous whenever he sees parents supporting and genuinely loving their kids, since he never got it in his youth

More of a “What if” scenario, but let’s say Hermonculus got into a little spat with his husband, Gunnar, and the last words he said to him was “You are so annoying sometimes. I wish you would just leave me alone!”

Little did he know, Gunnar dies trying to help/save someone and Herm is left with the guilt and regret you’d expect someone to have after saying something negative to a person just before they pass on.

He then starts acting a lot meaner to everyone, especially his students. Bump hears the kids talking about it and soon finds Herm bawling his eyes out behind the bleachers. As they both sit down, Bump lets Herm spill everything: from the entire argument, to how much Herm really loved him even though it was never shown, to Herm’s guilt. At the end, Herm was sobbing about how this was all his fault and Gunnar was always right and “I should have been a better husband”. The one person who’s been by his side no matter what is gone and he hates himself for it. For everything he did.

Now ofc, Gunnar’s not really dead in my mind. He’s alive and well. This was just a thought I came up with for no reason

Osran

What if, in order to keep Osran to shut his mouth about the DOU, Belos used Ophelia against him

Like, maybe he’d say something like how Ophelia wouldn’t believe you and judging by how she is with him, she’d leave him in a heartbeat cuz no one in their right mind would stay with such an asshole and a liar. Gives him the whole “You don’t deserve her.” thing and calls him out on his fear of losing his loved ones. As if he wasn’t terrified already, now he’s afraid of the love of his life leaving him if he ever messed up.

Osran would never admit it when he was younger, but his biggest fear was (and still is, actually) losing his family. The problem is, it keeps happening to him.

-He was probably raised by a single parent and took them for granted—gone before he knew it…and he was only 18

-Terra, more or less—they were friends/frenemies when they were little, then they started dating, then they broke up and he lost her as a friend

-Sid Buls, his favorite professor—last time he saw him alive was when he graduated.

- Riley—we know what happened with them

-His palisman, Auspice—same as above

This is a big reason why he humbled himself, this is why he holds his loved ones so dear to his heart, it’s why he was so overprotective of his kids, one of the many reasons why he treats Ophelia like a goddess, and why he tries not to get too attached to new people

He doesn’t want to lose any of them. Not anymore.

Darius:

I wanna see Darius and one other character in a “Raine’s Rhapsody” situation and while battling, someone looking at a picture with Darius and his adopted kids like “Darius…do you have kids?��

And instead of Eda saying “They’re not MINE, mine”, Darius is like “Why do you think I’m doing this?”. All Darius has are Eber, Hunter, and Salem and he is NOT letting anything bad happening to his loved ones

Oh boy, here we go:

Evangaline once got severely injured when she was making a new potion with Vit

Being with Vit for so long means she can tell when a potion is about to blow up and she pushes Vit out of the way so he didn’t get hurt again. That resulted in an emergency trip to the Healing coven and Vit being overcome with guilt while on the verge of having both a heart attack and a mental breakdown. Eve has a decent home life, so it was no surprise that her parents were PISSED and would have physically fought Vit if it weren’t for Hettie stepping in. Because of how severe the injuries were (she was barely breathing), her parents forbid him from seeing her, even after she was discharged. Not only that, but Vit had to deal with nightmares about her dying due to his mistake, his experiment, she died because of him. Due to this, Vit had no choice but to push her away since he doesn’t want the same mistake happening ever again.

Now don’t worry, Eve DOES manage to study under him again and even figures out the recipe for the potion they were trying to make, but the journey was pure agony for the both of them. Vit loves her like his own and would never want anything bad happening to her.

Rain Part 1

Possible Tom Hiddleston x OFC

Charectures: Ember Rain (OFC), Verious OC’s,Taika Waititi, Tom Hiddleston, Robert Downey Jr, Tilda Swinton, Maybe Graham Mctavish, plus possible other people in the future its not all written yet.

Warnings: Slight violence, mentions of abuse, Alcoholism, obsession with sweet deserts.

Rain, most people find it to be an unhappy uncomfortable thing. Which has the ability to ruin days and puts a damper on plans. For Ember however Rain wasn't anything significant in anyway, changing only the type of jacket and shoes she wore. It often fascinated people how little she complained about the weather. One past coworker at a Starbucks, reported the only time they had heard a complaint about the weather was at the height of summer in the hottest weather of the year, “it really is hot today” while fanning herself, “maybe we should turn up the AirCon”. A completely self sufficient handles everything herself kind of person.

Not that Ember worked at Starbucks anymore, having gone on to better things, a local coffee shop, in London. She had moved from the States for school. And stayed because she loved it. In her school days, she wanted to be a famous film director. To make movies like Peter Jackson or JJ abrams or the Russo brothers, however after the Success of her first book, “The plebeian society” she decided to focus on her writing. Publishing several more books, before a Taika Waititi, approached her about turning “The plebeian society” into a Film.

When Ember got the call it was what most people would consider to be a grey, dreary and depressing day, rain pouring from the sky and down the streets of London. But after that call she could be seen dancing in the rain, drenched to the bone a Cheshire grin plastered across her face.

Meetings began the next week.

Taika POV

As Taika sat in the conference room, his assistant, a potential producer Miss Rain’s Publisher and agent all sat waiting for Ember to arrive. The publisher was drumming her fingers clearly unhappy with Ember’s lateness, as was the producer. Ember’s Agent was a little frantic periodically making excuses and typing furiously on his phone trying to contact the elusive writer.

Suddenly they heard a door slam, then running footsteps, before a person in a knee length brown coat slid past the door. Then they heard someone slam into a wall.

“ow! Who put that there?!” The whole room scrambled to their feet to peak out the door. That was when Taika got his first good look at the young writer. Sopping wet hair haphazardly cut brushed the shoulders of an equity wet long suit jacket, which was splayed out behind the young woman who was rubbing her forehead. Long black skinny jean clad legs out in front of her ending in a pair of knee high Doc Martins. She noticed them looking down at her and squinted up. “Is this the right room?”

“Glasses Ember” her agent said, in an annoyed tone.

“ Oh” Ember put her finger up and pulled a glasses case from the pocket of her coat pulling out a pair of glasses. Sliding them onto her nose she looked up again. “So that is a Yes on this being the correct room than” she got up “ I am so sorry about being late. I was on time I swear but then there was a funky musician in the tube and I just had to take pictures of him for future reference then the tube was late and then I got lost”. At this long excuse The Publisher just sighed cocked a slight smile and went back to her chair while the agent grabbed Ember’s arm and pulled her to a seat as well.

“I asked one thing of you, be on time, but you can’t even manage that, do you have any idea how bad this looks!” At this point the Agent was almost yelling and the young writer was almost cowering in her seat.

“I’m sorry! I tried I really did”

“Well Obviously not hard enough”. The agent was glowering, the man was going red in the face.

“Well maybe we should look back into getting her a manager” the publisher tried to defuse the Agents anger. Which seemed to have a reverse effect.

“Does she look like she can afford a manager?!” He gestured to her cloths.

“We..”

“No she doesn’t” the agent interrupted the publisher. Taika was getting the feeling something wasn’t quite right as the Agent continued to bare down on the young woman who had arrived just a few 5 minutes late with a perfectly understandable excuse, one Taika could actually see himself using.

“Why don’t we just get on with the meeting now that everyone is here”.

Ember looked up at him with gratitude in her eyes, which was shattered when the agent spoke again.

“Fine but this conversation isn’t over young lady”

Eber hunkered down in her chair like a sulky kitten and let the meeting flow around her.

Two hours later of Taika campaigning for more and more of Ember’s input on his ideas only to be waylaid by the agent he was fed up. The Publisher had been good and obviously supportive of the production. But the agent was the one stonewalling everything.

“Well what do you think of this…”

Ember would start to answer only to be cut off by the agent’s terse “No”

Finally Eber growled at him, “ Let the man do his thing, Joseph! He is just as much an artist as me, let him make artistic changes”

“I will not let this man ruin all our work, I wouldn’t even have allowed this discussion if it had gone through me first” The agent spat out.

“ Our work, Our work?!” Taika could see that the cowering kitten from before was gone this was someone who was going to protect what was her’s, best everyone else get out of her way. “YOu work for me!” She stood to tower over her agent, “And let I remind you that you did not work for me when this book was published, you jumped onto the success train after it got going, so do not think you have any say in the artistic expression of my work” her words were still calm but there was a terrible fury in her eyes. She wasn’t a kitten anymore oh no she was the sound of the ocean crashing on the rocks. So much power behind surreal calm. “ You have been abusing my success for a very long time no More!”

“Ember calm down before you do something you’ll regret later”, the Agent said

“You fired”

The Agent’s face went blank with fury as Ember turned to Taika as if no one sat beside her.

“I have seen some of your work and I trust your interpretation of this story, however I would like to go over any changes to it with you once you have a rough script layer out, so you can explain your reasoning behind it”.

“Sounds good to me”

The meeting wrapped up shortly after, Ember still pretending that her now Ex agent didn’t exist and was talking to her publisher. Her Ex-agent was seething.

Ember finished talking to her publisher and was gathering her notes to leave. Everyone was out of the room when they heard him erupt.

“What the FUCK Ember! After all I have done for you. You were a fucking nobody when I found you. I created your persona for the public I am the person in charge here you can’t fucking fire me!”

“I can fire you Joseph, you work for me, and I am tired of your treatment of me”. Her voice was a calm counterpoint to his furious tone. Taika was lingering behind wanting to make sure everything was okay.

“You little punk”

“This discussion is not going anywhere or going to change anything, You will transfer everything back to me tomorrow”.

There was the sound of something scraping across the floor. Ember made a squeak of surprises. With that Taika started to make his way back over to the room.

“No Fucking way I am letting my cash cow get away from me”

“LLLLE-e-e-ett G-G-ooo” Ember Gasped out. Taika finally made it back to the room to see that Joseph had Ember against the wall holding her by her neck. Taika sipped out his phone and took a picture.

“Put her down”

Joseph stiffened, obviously he had thought the building was now empty, then dropped her.

Ember scuttled around him coughing and hid behind Taika.

“You can’t have knights in shining armor save you every time Ember. I will get back at you some day”.

With that he grabbed his things and stormed out. Taika turned to Ember.

“Are you okay?”

“I’m fine thanks” she grabbed her things and began to walk out. Taika hurried to walk with her.

“Do you need help finding a new Agent?”

“No I should be fine” but Taika wasn’t convinced. He touched her arm, she flinched, causing him to withdraw his hand as if from a hot surface.

“I’m Sorry”

“I’m fine Taika thank you for your concern but I can handle this. Just contact me when you are ready.” With that she slipped away, down a side street disappearing before he could catch up with her.
