I do have to say that I’m in love with every single one of the main characters in this show.
#Luffy is a character that in another genre would be the goofy sidekick but instead he’s the main character and can never die#and honestly I love that for him#Nami is a girlboss and the smartest person in the room by default#Zoro is an emo sword boy but in a fun way#Ussop is incredibly charming and I love the fact that he’s the only one with any romantic storyline#I even like Koby even though I’m only 4 episodes in and there’s a lot of potential for him to fuck things up#but he’s so conflicted and also genuinely wants to do the right thing#I’m very interested to see his storyline#honestly I even kind of like Helmeppo#just a pathetic loser of a man#also I know Shanks is only in flashbacks but he could fucking Get It#also the villains so far have been legitimately creepy#but then the show ends up being very uplifting and wholesome without any emotional whiplash#also sorry to the fans of the original I am new here and I’m sorry if I am mischaractering your blorbos#I’m just a big fan#opla

#augh seriously i was so in awe and baffled by Left Suit's charm and ability to sweettalk his way with Bulldozer#I'm sure both me and Bulldozer felt like Goofy getting kissed by the mailman#Left Suit kissed Bulldozer to retrieve a missing piece of his soul essence that had been placed within him during his creation#Left Suit had started off their greeting by explaining he was the Major Player's Hollywood ; this immediately caught Bulldozer's attention#and he treated him with respect right off the bat as Dave is an important individual#Left Suit had asked for Bulldozer to let go of Spruce and Alton [they were trying to stop Bulldozer from going back to the conglomerate as#they knew he was gonna get some people killed for what they'd done to him]. Bulldozer was also fighting off Rocketeers during this#anyways ; Left Suit asked the Rocketeer to back off politely and they did albeit with hesitation and took Spruce and Alton out of the crater#with them. Left Suit then asked Bulldozer if he'd be interested in dancing while they talked and he said sure#Lord ; Left Suit was good at keeping the situation calm despite Bulldozer's flared up temper atm#he was quick to deescalate any worries big man seemed to have ; he even offered him an office space and ideas to turn the expansion around#Bulldozer was hesitant and stubborn at first but ultimately was talked into a compromise that he'd get an office in the Sellbot factory#and the ability to speak with maintenance crew and molemen to see who he'd want hired in the expansion#however ; good for Chip Spruce and Alton ; Bulldozer didn't want anyone from the previous crew to return on the project#he'd rather have all skelecogs#sorry for the rambling lol! i hope this is enough context ^^ feel free to ask about anything#ttcc#toontown corporate clash#toontown: corporate clash#toontown#au#ttcc au#Bulldozer#Left Suit#mr. hollywood

Some sketches!! What really made this Forging Bonds for me was the little exchanges between Alfonse and Sharena, and the way each bounced off of each other!!
Throughout this I was actually directly referencing their portraits w their lines, even reffing a FEH comic panel for the 3rd one. Something I really wanted to capture esp in the 2nd panel is how Alfonse has these really subtle micro-expressions -- which is. Extremely challenging for me HAHA I think I'm more inclined to exaggerate/emphasize expressions. Overall though, I think it had a really nice effect setting the tone for each scene, as intended, without me getting carried away and losing the plot LMFAO

i think some of takeuchis art is really good and some of it is bad. is that an acceptable stance or is having a non-dichotomous opinion considered passé/wishy washy
#some of it is stiff and some of it is really charming#the simple stuff is really iconic but when he tries more complex designs it easily falls into looking goofy#he does make some really good expressions. it isn’t just olga and kagetora casotria had like 100 of them#like idk I feel like just saying ‘he’s a good artist’ or ‘he’s a bad artist’ is too simplistic#he has strengths and weaknesses and I think some of the issue is as a founding member of tm his weakness become in jokes that are encouraged#(Ie saberfaces)#rather than ignored or worked on#bc tbh a lot of anime art styles give everyone very similar faces but drawing attention to it does make people actually notice it far more#than if they had said nothing (like w artists like wada or nakahara)#most digital artists do reuse assets! but he has both a lot of visibility and a lot of influence in his company so people pick apart#his art for that stuff way more which isn’t really fair but at the same time#isn’t helped by the ongoing stuff w saberfaces etc#and he does need to have someone overseeing some of his designs to make sure they look good. like w Jeanne’s idol dress or 3rd summer outfit#i don’t think he’s a bad artist or designer I just think he could use more editing/less free reign on some cases if that makes sense#and idk. i do really like some of his art. castoria’s fa is really pretty#and sure he may have assistants but I’m fairly certain a lot of the prominent artists do…?#I’ll be honest and say I find his older art more lively#his newer art is much more polished but feels squarer#idk. idk I’m tired I guess#DOES THIS MAKE SENSE??? should I even post it#my post

#so far in my sporadic picking away at various manga series i feel i have the weirdest reader relationships with JJBA and Attack on Titan#when reading JJBA i am not really that invested in the characters or even whats happening to them and yet i still never decide to dnf it#and i dont even know what it is that keeps me reading except that its just very unique i suppose?#such an odd combo of different things that somehow manages to eventually have its own sorta cohesive logic and charm#also the art is just fun. its ornate and goofy and macho and flamboyant and gross#but as soon as i put it down i stop thinking about it too#and dont feel like picking it up again for at least several more days#with attack on titan i found the art style mostly really bad at first ngl#it reminded me of awkward drawings a high schooler would make like the inconsistentness#of like there are good action poses here but the people also look weird ugly bland and stiff and the backgrounds are often so empty#idk i was feeling pretty blah about it but something about how starkly straight-forward the story is was interesting to me#where its literally exactly what you heard its just#theres a bunch of humanoid giants attacking our city#and we have to stop them. that's it#and also the awkwardness of the art style i find works extremely well when it comes to the titans#like they are genuinely creepy to me. and they do actually feel massive the way theyre drawn. and the mystery around them interests me too#anyways im like 60% through part 1 of jojo(also read most of part 4 a few years ago) and only on vol 3 of AoT#but yeah those are the 2 series i have the most mixed feelings about so far#wouldnt say i love or hate either of them but still also continue to want to find out more#13readsmanga#p

Finally watched the vnc stage play and this fucks actually
#Mochijun's characters lend surprisingly well to the stage#anyway it was such a good time. very cute#I think with this medium the limiting nature is part of the charm honestly? like yeah they had to cut a lot but this was obviously for Fans#oh and although most of the music was Kajiura's there were a couple tracks not from the anime and idk that was kind of fun#It was very goofy and silly but I mean that in the best way possible#Roland was so funny I wish he had more screentime#Domi was also hilarious and incredibly charismatic#and the 3-6 Naenia's were very cute and creepy#I want a Gévaudan one <- never going to happen#anyway mutuals you may ask if you want me to send it to you so you can watch it yourself
