man completely unrelated to DoL but if you've ever moved to a different country whose language you did not speak and were forced to use that language everyday CONGRATS IM SO PROUD OF YOU

#currently visiting my gramps (which is why i haven't been super active) and Wow I Have Used So Much Non-Existent Spanish #luckily i speak a language that is similar to spanish so like it's not totally impossible bc i can read stuff and get the gist when ppl talk #(would be nicer if they spoke slower but how many fucking native spanish-speakers do it slowly lmao)#but wowie we went to a mall today and so many vendors spoke to me #and i even held a full convo with a pharmaceutist (?) about which soap my sensitive skin needed #(bc i brought a different one than my usual for this trip and BOY did my rosacea notice)#and like it WORKS but my brain is SO TIRED
