Kang is pretty much all the Loki show has going for it. Viewers found the TVA interesting, sure, but Kang's introduction was what MCU fans were most hyped for. I honestly think that if he wasn't included, then the show would've been considered a pointless disappointment, like how a lot of MCU fans considered WandaVision a letdown because the X-Men didn't show up. They're not really there for Loki. They're not even there for Sylvie. They're there for Kang and what he brings to the MCU.

I've seen many fans mock the criticism of Phase Four with claims that it all will make sense in future installments, that we shouldn't ask for too much in this phase because it's all leading up to a larger story and that's all that matters, individual stories are "pointless."

I'm always surprised whenever I read that argument because it's clear they don't care about most characters, they just want the big guns: Thanos in the past, now it's Kang, what they expect from Quantumania is some grand story that feeds into the narrative but I haven't seen many people showing any interest in Scott or Hope...

A good chunk of Phase Four had that in mind so MoM wasn't a Stephen story (not even Wanda's), its focus was on the multiverse and incursions. The same could be said about the Loki series: it served as an introduction to the TVA and Kang, but Loki was completely sidelined. Any installment that didn't feed directly into the larger story these fans labelled as useless. I specifically remember hearing this idea that Black Widow didn't add anything to the future MCU, so its existence was useless. I think it should have been released years ago but other than that... it serves to tell a story about one of its main characters, how can that be useless?

Browsing reddit you see so many fans asking for new shows and secondary characters to be brought to the spotlight and be given a movie or a series.... only to complain when the studio does just that by claiming it doesn't mean anything to the larger MCU. So do you want the stories or not? 😂😂

I think Halloween is probably the most popular theme week after Disney Night for DWTS. And this year's Halloween night did not disappoint. Monsters of all kinds descended on the ballroom floor for individual dances and then returned for the dance-a-thon. The nine couples took to the floor to dance both the hustle and then the Charleston for some extra points. It's always fun to watch and this time was no different.

Of course Sasha was in his glory and we got the traditional package about him scaring everyone. Most of the dancers knew it was him and they would yell his name. But he then sat down on a couch and got scared by Alyson. So someone finally got Sasha.

There was also a guest judge for this show. Former contestant Niecy Nash joined Carrie Ann, Derek and Bruno to help judge our stars' Halloween routines. It was pretty fun to have her back.

So who was the star of this monster's ball and who got chased off by the villagers? Let's take a look!

Mauricio and Emma: This was a bit surprising. Mauricio has been an apparent crowd favorite and his scores have also been on the rise. I was starting to suspect he could be the dark horse but I guess the audience had other plans. While his matador-inspired Argentine tango wasn't as smooth as other stars who have performed this dance, it was still fun to watch. He and Emma had good chemistry and it really helped elevate this routine. I'm going to miss him in the upcoming weeks but I think he should be proud for making it this far.

Xochitl and Val: Xochitl and Val topped the leaderboard again with a powerful contemporary dance. Val's superhero resurrected Xochitl with his powers and throughout the dance she grew more and more powerful, realizing she was alive again. They performed some amazing tricks, including one where it looked like Xochitl was flying. At some point, it seems she got hurt as Val was carrying her around for the rest of the show but she didn't seem interested in talking about it. And it didn't stop her from winning the dance-a-thon either. Hopefully she recovers and comes back next week to wow us again.

Ariana and Pasha: I'm not sure what exactly Ariana was supposed to be other than some mythological creature but honestly, it doesn't matter. Her Argentine tango was flawless. I know Carrie Ann said that Charity's contemporary last week would be the most memorable dance this season but I honestly believe it will be this Argentine tango. It was like watching two pros and I was mesmerized. Ariana handled every move perfectly. I encourage everyone to watch it if you haven't yet. And she also made it to second place in the dance-a-thon, which is just as impressive.

Jason and Daniella: Jason and Daniella also danced a contemporary routine where they were zombies fighting with each other. It was probably the most serious Jason has been throughout the competition and he rose to the challenge. His dance was appropriately spooky and he executed the moves without breaking character. He continues to prove why he is the best male star this season. And he even made it to the Charleston portion of the dance-a-thon to finish in fourth place. Not bad at all.

Charity and Artem: I'd say the dance-a-thon hurt Charity and Artem but it didn't really. All it did was solidify their finish in 4th place for this week. What hurt them was that Niecy gave their skeleton jive an 8. While still a high score, it still likely stung as both Xochitl and Ariana had 10s in their scores and Jason had earned all 9s. Their jive was fun and Charity still handled it well but I think it's subject hurt her forward momentum after last week's emotional breakthrough. Maybe she can regain it again next week.

Lele and Brandon: Lele was a black widow spider luring Brandon into her web as they danced the paso doble. I don't know why her scores aren't higher. She's fun to watch and is just as good as Charity or Jason. Something is holding her back and I hope she figures it out because I certainly can't. I just know I don't want her to be the next surprise elimination.

Barry and Peta: Barry is so fun to watch. Is he the best dancer out there? No, not really. But he's giving it his all and he's really charismatic, which is why I think people are still voting for him. Watching him be the Big Bad Wolf to Peta's Red Riding Hood was more entertaining than their Viennese waltz but he still managed to pull off most of the choreography. So that's certainly impressive. I still don't think he'll win but I'll enjoy watching him while he's still around.

Alyson and Sasha: Unsurprisingly, Alyson was assigned to be a vampire. I wonder why? Anyway, I think the teeth threw off her face a bit because she looked more awkward. And she was a bit awkward moving from the cape action on the top of the stairs to the main part of the paso doble on the dance floor. But once she and Sasha started dancing together, it looked very good. They were perfectly in sync and show that they are a great team. Alyson just needs to refine her movements more and she might be able to challenge Lele and get out of the bottom three.

Harry and Rylee: Harry is feeling disheartened due to online comments about him. Oh, Harry, never read the comments. That includes mine, though I try to be more positive than negative. Ultimately, the only comments you need to listen to are the judges'. They will help you improve. Because Harry has promise but he's just been a little too inconsistent this season. However, he did recover with his and Rylee's alien-inspired Argentine tango. It wasn't as smooth as it could've been but it had good content he was able to pull off after a little help from Lindsay. And while it must hurt to be in the bottom three two weeks in a row, it seems the audience likes him enough to keep him around. So he should take some comfort with that.

So that was Halloween night! We have about a month until a new winner is crowned and gets to hoist the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy and I'm happy it could be anyone's game. It could be Xochitl or Ariana. Jason could sneak past them to win it all in the end. Bachelor Nation could push Charity across the finish line or the audience could send Barry there instead. And Lele could be the surprise winner. Maybe Alyson or Harry will make it as well, though I doubt it at this time.

But only time will tell.

Next time, Paula Abdul will join the panel as a guest judge while the remaining stars pay tribute to some of the best music videos of all time. And we'll have the team dances! See you then!

"I’m used to spiders die to being an Australian." Wait.. What? Now I'm so confused. That makes no sense to me. Maybe rephrase that again.

I don't mind spiders. I would have a problem if an animal or insect has been venomous, since I would not want me or my dog to be poisoned by venomous creatures. But there's rarely ever poisonous creatures in my town. So I don't have to worry too much about being bitten either.

I might have to say black widow spider might be my favorite spider so that probably isn't surprising. And not because of Scarlett Johansson either! I am not a fan of her. Widows represent female empowerment.

Black widows spiders, and maybe butterflies, would be some of these insects I like. That I know of. Because no other insects come to mind.

Honestly? I have mixed feelings about snakes. Like.. I know, I know... I know that it is a part of the animal kingdom where one animals would eat another animal. But I never want to see that. I do know about how that works. But I never want to see that part of nature. So that reason is why I'm not exactly fond of snakes. Snakes could actually eat other animals and even humans whole. I would be considered a snack to so many snakes, and my dog too (since she's only a yochan breed so she is a small dog too). I think that might be my reason why I hate snakes.

A part of me is still iffy about Cobra and even the Mugen gang having been associated with snakes as the animal motifs. Despite being very interested in the whole ouroboros aspect of the Mugen gang though.

I don't know? I don't pay attention to superstitions that much so I just can't comment on that. I know just very little information about these superstitions... Superstitions in general. I'm still annoyed about how a black cats are rarely taken in by people because of that superstition is ridiculous to me. And I will just fight people over that superstition too.

And I will really judge people for not taking care of black cats either.

I will actually fight Shizuka if she has superstitions about black cats.

Personally... I can't imagine Hyuga and Kato as superstitious. But you had a similar thought to me about that. Because they're traditional as they are, they might have more traditional beliefs and ideals, whether or not those two are actually superstitious. But that's just my opinion.

And to add on to traditions. Red is traditionally a Japanese color, only because red represents power in Japanese cultures. And the flag too.

Drinking wine in the afternoon? Seems weird to me. Like.. I just would be unusual in my opinion. I would be fine with drinking during the day for some events, or something, but just drinking during the day really does seem unusual to me for some reason. So I'm not really sure why.

Yeah... I knew that champagne and white wine were different types of alcohols. I had champagne once before at a baby shower. But I'm not really sure why I can't remember the drink? I might have to try again - if there is ever an opportunity to drink champagne. And, I'd never had white wine, so I can't comment on that. But if I'm lucky.. I try avoiding events like weddings, receptions, baby showers, any of the events I'm never able to tolerate. Rocky would be disappointed in me about this.

Whiskey flavored ice cream? That's weird. I don't like pina coladas but that one makes more sense to me because of the ingredients that do actually make this drink could also be used for some ice cream flavor.

When I am overly heated, I do sweat a lot sometimes... So I know how that is. Especially during my teenage years. I sweated way too much.

I can say that same about not having a boyfriend. And any man I have been attracted to is unattainable, or is fictional... Sometimes for those main reasons. And because I've never even been anyone's type either.

Not only do I hate dating apps, but I never trust dating apps either as so many people catfish others. You never know if they're murders and rapists.. Especially since someone of my size can actually be so easily kidnapped, raped and murdered. I heard that comment my whole life.

My ears always ring, even lose hearing, whenever I injure myself. That always happened to me. That I know of. If I'm remembering correctly.

Injures hurt worse during the night and when you first wake up in the morning. I don't know why that is though. Wait.. "During the night, there is a drop in the stress hormone cortisol which has an anti-inflammatory response. There is less inflammation, less healing, so the damage to bone due to the above conditions accelerates in the night, with pain as the side-effect." So that answers that question at least. I was always curious about why pain was worse at night time.

Like I told you. Stairs are always my worst enemy any time I'm injured for some reason that I don't know. Stairs hate me, and I hate stairs.

The one time the two cops were able to actually do their job, they just altered information. Which is a good and bad thing depending on any opinions on the story and characters. At least they won't get caught... But that may mean mafia boss ends up dead by the end of this series then. Unless mafia boss finds out some other way then. I don't know.

Yes. Maya Hawke dies in the beginning of Fear Street: 1994. And with Sadie Sink, she's the main character in 1978 and 1666 (depending on which version of the character we're talking about) - but Sadie would be the teenage actor for one of the adult characters. Really watch the third movie soon. Just to wrap up the story. And to find out the end.

I've never been fond of found footage movies... Those are the movies where it seems like people are recording the story as if it were on any video cameras or phones? I hate those movies. That bothers me very much. Trying to watch the movie with cameras shaking around is no.

I've seen some of the Paranormal Activity franchise and I've also seen some of the VHS franchise but I haven't seen the newer movies yet.. I can't comment about the newer movies. I've seen Quarantine before.

What about #Awake? I've seen the American version. Apparently I did not know that it was a remake from a Korean zombie movie, so I may have to watch the Korean version soon too. Because I'm curious now.

I'm trying to think of some movies, maybe shows, of the horror genre.

i also love rhino beetles (they hiss!!), we used to have them around my house when i was a kid. the grubs used to live in our compost garden before they metamorphosed. i can still remember how they felt when holding them. cannot describe it, you just need to hold one. and moths and mantises are cool!

it’s always hot in australia, so i’ve got no luck no matter what. always gonna be sweating. doesn’t help that because the place i work is so big that the air conditioning doesn’t have any effect, so i’m sweating for hours at work too. i put on so much perfume and deodorant before and during my work shifts.

1. When Stiles drags Scott around the mall for hours to find Derek a birthday/Christmas present and keeps asking 'What do you think of this? Do you think he'll like this?', only to be chastised for saying 'Stiles, I'm sure it's fine', because, quote, 'It can't just be fine, Scott! I'm pretty sure this is the first time anyone's celebrated his birthday in years. It has to be perfect! Not to mention it's also Christmas, so it has to be doubly perfect!' 2. When Lydia comes across the pile of presents in the corner of Stiles' room, just like the one Stiles had once made for her own birthday, complete with another flat screen TV, and realizes that Stiles doesn't even register his own attempt at wooing, even though it's nearly identical to when he had done it to her 3. When Isaac sees Stiles turning around and just barely missing Derek openly staring at him 4. When Derek smells so strongly of sadness and longing and ache that it physically hurts for some members of the pack to be around him sometimes because the smell is so sharp (please refer to number 3) 5. "You miss your daddy?" Natasha spoke while driving, you chuckle at her words then resting your head against the car window. "Hmm, kinda, so what are we doing here in Norway?" You ask the latter.

"Well, you've noticed that Ross is after our asses after assaulting the King of Wakanda, and helping Steve and Barnes escape the airport, I believe we should lay low, right?" She propped her elbow by the window, resting her head on her knuckle as she drives with one hand. "Oh? I didn't know that." You replied sarcastically, making Natasha roll her eyes.

"What I mean is, why Norway of all places?" Now you're kindly asking, arms crossed over your chest and slowly drifting off to sleep, exhausted after hours of traveling, without Daddy's private planes, sports car, and Quinjet also.

Natasha noticed how your voice softens, a long yawn coming out of your mouth, and quickly glancing at you. "Ross has no jurisdiction here, his boys would stay away from here for the time being." She answered, you softly nodded and replied with an 'okay' almost a whisper with how silent it was.

In a split second, you're already fast asleep at the passenger seat, both arms hugging yourself and your head resting against the window. Nat maintained her eyes on the road as she attempts to reach for a blanket she stashed in the backseat, after few shifts in her place, the Russian managed to grab the cloth.

She gently placed the soft blanket over you, and now focusing herself on driving, for some reason, she has always felt this warm feeling in her heart when she's alone with you, adoration maybe?

Your peaceful state while you're in deep slumber, and hearing your soft snores as she admires the view of the landscape, she would offer everything she has just to stay like this most of the time.

The thought caught her off-guard, why would she want to spend all of her time with her friend's daughter? She shrugged the thought off from her mind, she knows what love feels like, she felt it with Bruce until Hulk decided to drive off somewhere they won't find him.

She did get sad because of it, but she chose to move forward and move on, successfully removing any romantic feelings for Banner, focusing on her work as an Agent and an Avenger.

But why is she feeling this way with you? Her heart melts when she sees you getting all excited when you've successfully upgraded your techs, how she would automatically smile when her eyes would catch you smiling, and how she feels warm when you're there to ease her mind when a mission didn't go as planned.

She's now connecting the dots, using the silence and peace surrounding her, she got time to think about herself and her feelings towards Tony Stark's daughter.

After half an hour of the drive, you slowly wake up from your nap, looking around the surroundings you're in the middle of the woods, Natasha's still driving. "Good uhh... Evening?" You greeted Nat with your groggy voice.

Natasha stopped the car beside the safehouse, which is a caravan and you don't mind, you can't really call your father to get you a 5-star hotel to stay in. "Did you manage to replenish your energy?" She asked, unbuckling her seat belt and you did the same.

Getting out of the car, she has her gun out and you also have one on your hand, staying alert until both of you heard a loud snore in the room. Natasha immediately returned to her relaxed posture before heading into where the sound belongs, and she found her contractor sleeping.

Kicking his foot that is off the bed, the man immediately woke up. "You're sleeping in my bed." Natasha commented, "I'm not even under the covers." He replied, then his eyes trail at you, awkwardly looking away noticing that the two seemed close.

"I've got what you asked for, fake IDs, drivers licenses, and some VISAs, also for Miss Stark too, just like what you've told me to do." He says as he handed out the fake identifications to Natasha, while reading, the Russian frowned upon what she just read. "Really? Fanny Longbottom?"

"That is a legitimate name." He defended himself, them Natasha handed your fake IDs, taking a good look at them and you're amazed about how real they seem to be. "Thank you...?" You softly spoke.

"Rick, Rick Mason." He introduced himself, and you shook his hand also introducing yourself, with little chit-chat soon after the man left leaving you and Natasha alone.

An hour has passed it's already dark out, you're currently sitting by the front door, knees up to your chest, and you already felt homesick, Natasha's company is nice honestly, but the feeling of being far away from your father and home sucks.

Natasha looks at you while you're way too busy gazing at the woods, she knows you aren't used to this type of setup, running away from authorities, and far from home, she felt bad for you.

She walks up behind you, making sure you're aware of her presence before placing a hand on your shoulder. "I'm going to watch a movie on my laptop, feel free to join me, I'm also eating the ice cream we bought at the convenience store earlier." She softly spoke before leaving you alone.

Minutes after, you finally stood up from where you are sitting and closing the front door, almost dragging your way to Natasha. Two bowls of ice cream in front of her, and her laptop already on, she was waiting for you.

You placed yourself beside her, head resting on her shoulder then she plays the movie on the screen, lazily taking a spoonful of the cold treat in your mouth, and eyes glued on the screen, but you weren't paying attention to the movie, you're spacing out.

"Hey, Y/N? Are you okay?" Of course, not, Natasha knows damn well you aren't okay, she thought that it's a dumb question. "Of course, why wouldn't I be?" You answered just like your father, she paused the film and causing you to look at her. "No, you're not okay, and that's okay." She says before taking you into her arms.

You're surprised actually, Natasha isn't usually the one who initiates physical contact but here she is, her arms wrapped around your body. You needed this, you needed to feel home and somehow being hugged by Natasha feels like it.

Burying your face at her shoulders then you knew you're melting in her arms, it almost brought the tears out of you, as if her touch is enough the lift the burden you've been feeling.

Natasha feels like home.

You try not to think anything about the affection she just gave, but damn, you think you'd go batshit crazy if you won't get to experience this again.

Let's be clear here, you've had a crush on Natasha while she's still Natalie, then as soon as Fury revealed that she is some secret agent, you were so amazed that you started liking her, though she didn't contact after that.

You weren't part of the Avengers initiative, but you did join them in the battle of Sokovia, but she and Banner have a thing going on, so you've decided to set those feelings aside. Which you successfully did for a few months, and after Bruce flying who knows where maybe you can make a move?

So you did, you would jokingly flirt around Natasha, and your father would give a questioning look then you slowly back away, but you were also a great friend to Nat, it's just that you can't seem to get all romantic with Natasha.

Just as much of a playboy your father is, that's all his, you suck at this type of thing, so Nat probably thought you're just a caring and affectionate person.

You gently pull away from Natasha's grasp, and she looks at you with her emerald eyes. "Better?" She asked, placing a hand on your cheek softly caressing your skin. "Much better, thank you." She smiled with your answer, the next thing you know is that you're way too close to her, and you're looking at her plump lips.

This would be a perfect time to make a move.

You hold the back of her hand that is on your cheek, slowly closing in, and Natasha is leaning closer, so near that you could feel each other breathing, just when your lips were about to touch hers... the power died.

Nat cleared her throat and awkwardly moving away, removing her hand away from you and she stood up. "I'm just going to check the power generator." She says before going outside.

Her face turned red as soon as she was out of your sight, she got way too vulnerable with you, she almost kissed you but she sure knows she's going to like it but no, not at a time like this.

She tried to get the power back on, only to find that there's no more fuel in the generator, she came back inside finding you eating ice cream in the corner, and probably waiting for her to come back.

"I'm going to a gas station, do you want to come with me?" She asked, you nodded before getting off your ass and bringing yourself into her car, there's this awkward tension between the two of you, and as soon as she started driving, the silence swallowed the two of you.

"Can I turn the radio on?" You asked her, she simply nodded while eyes fixated on the road, you played the radio, and Sia's Cheap Thrills came on. "Damn, even here? When is this song going to die?" You commented.

Natasha taps her fingers on the steering wheel according to the beats, despite hearing the song over and over whenever you would turn on the radio, you still liked it.

Midway through the song, you felt chills on your body, and as soon as you look at the window beside you, suddenly you see an RPG heading towards the car.

"Nat—" Before she could react it has already hit the car causing an explosion, now the vehicle is hanging on the edge of the bridge, and with one wrong move it'll head straight down to the water. "Ooh, fuck that hurts." Hissing as you try to collect yourself and trying to fight the headache it caused.

Natasha on the other hand is in pain and boy, she's mad. "I'm pretty sure Ross has no jurisdiction here, and you should know that I'm a better shot when I'm pissed off," Nat spoke before firing few bullets at the person, you look at her and biting your lip, finding her hot.

"Wow, that's hot..." You spoke under your breath but Natasha heard, glaring at you. "Really? At a time like this?" She says, before heading out of the car when you tried to get out Nat stopped you. "How long can you hold your breath?" She asked. "Last time I beat Sam it was a good 4 minutes and a half."

"As soon as this psycho comes close enough, I'll push you into the water, it's not after us." She says you look at her as if she's speaking lies. "Nat, I'm not leaving you here–" before you could protest, you felt her lips against yours it was quick but you know damn well, that Natasha kissed you.

"I'll meet you down there, I promise." She says before a shield comes charging towards her, and managed to avoid it, yet it hit the car, now you're falling off the bridge and you suddenly noticed a small case on her hand.

You quickly got out of the car before it could hit the water, then you swam heading to safety where the one who ambushed wouldn't see you.

Closing your eyes hoping that Nat would come back to you in one piece, there's no way you'll let her die after kissing you, of course, you wanted to fight but your body just wouldn't.

You can't risk losing Natasha now.

What I Love About Black Widow 2021

SPOILERS, so read at your own risk ;)

There are so many things I absolutely loved about the Black Widow movie it would be insane to try and mention all of them, but I'm going to hit some of my favorites:

Firstly, we get to really see Nat shine as a fully fleshed out and relatable character, rather than obligatory female member and eye candy.

She doesn't like letting people get close to her because when she does, she tends to love them with all her heart and will do anything for them. So when they betray her or are taken away, the pain is so overwhelming that it's easier to try and forget them, and keep everyone else at a distance. But even after all that time has passed, you can see she never really let her loved ones go; they were always in her heart and she will always love them (something I can relate to).

And it's not just her family she cares about. She cares about other people, even the ones who try to kill her. She tried to save that first Widow that went after them - grab her before she fell, and then tried to administer first aide. When she sees that there are more girls enslaved, she risks her life to get their information so they can be freed. She doesn't leave Antonia in her cell to die, but lets her out, and then frees her by using one of the few remaining Red Dust cures, which was a risk because they could have needed it in order to create more, and she couldn't have known for sure it would work on Antonia.

Nat shows that compassion and mercy are not weaknesses, but the ultimate strengths.

But she's not without flaws, flaws and regrets that still haunt her. You see the relief in her eyes when she realizes she didn't kill Antonia, but then the guilt of knowing it was her fault she was turned into Taskmaster. To me, it sounded like she was apologizing for both. And it's those feelings of guilt and regret and the need to apologize that really make her human.

And then we see the other Widows take Antonia with them. My bestie put it like this: "Girls helping other girls regardless of what they've been through or done is really so universally powerful."

I love how the underlying themes of family, pain, guilt, mercy, compassion, and inner strength were so prominent in this film and yet, it wasn't preachy. I feel like the best messages are the ones that show rather than tell.

Now onto the not so heavy things I loved:

(Okay, this one is kinda heavy), Loved that despite having been apart for so long, Nat and Yelena easily fall back into being sisters. It's how I am with mine and the film was able to portray that so well.

Love how much of dork Yelena is about her vest and it's pockets. Actually, love how much of a dork Yelena is period. With her disgust of 'poses', blunt observations, and comments on whether something is a cool way to die. (and another slightly heavy love - the fact that she got her dog and named it after the alias Nat pointedly disliked).

Red Guardian being a horrible dad but still trying so hard anyway, because he loves his family and refuses to give up.

All the action scenes. Seriously. Love those action scenes. But also really appreciate the pacing that allowed the characters and audience to breathe.

Melina being the best mom. Every moment she has is a Best Mom moment.

Costumes were amazing. (I want that vest, including all the pockets).

That the director was a woman. Yes to more female directors!

The witty dialogue between all the characters in every scene. Seriously, none of those jokes let me down and had me laughing so hard.

The fact that we get to see a low-key call back to Nat's introduction in Avengers where she pretends to be helpless in order to get the bad guys to reveal their 'diabolical plans'. Works every time.

Still am super sad that Nat Black Widow is dead in the MCU, but I'm thrilled she got to go off on a super high note.

Soooo, there actually was one thing I didn't like (but it certainly didn't ruin the movie for me, I am going to watch it again and again and get so much merch).

But I had a problem with Taskmaster.

To me, Taskmaster had the potential to be Marvel's Thrawn (a different sort of main threat that forces the established heroes to struggle in ways they haven't had to before and defeat said threat using new skills). So to treat Taskmaster as more of a throwaway cameo character was disappointing. Because honestly, the story doesn't need them. They could have been swapped with any random Widow and the plot would have stayed exactly the same - having Taskmaster in the movie doesn't add to the story in any way. So I'm hoping Marvel will have someone else take on the mantle and we really get to see them as a major threat.

But other than that, THE MOVIE WAS AMAZING!!! 9/10 from me. It has become one of my top three best/favorite Marvel movies for me, alongside Captain America: the First Avenger and Black Panther.

My review of NWH: Absurd beginning (seriously Dr. Strange, why didn't you discuss the logistics of the spell first?!). Middle that alternated between depressing and fun. Ending that ruined everything. There was no need for that Diabolus ex Machina ending in FFH and there was no need here in NWH. Not an enjoyable experience. 3/10. I've made excuses for MCU in the past, but I can't anymore. With a few exceptions Phase 4 overall has been disappointing. Should have stopped after Phase 3. I'm out.

Doctor Strange be like when not explaining ANYTHING to Peter and therefore, leading to Peter's panic: "Your fault, not mine" Like, I already disliked this man cause of his actor and his movie being dull.....though ironically his episode was the best of What If...? lol- but this movie didn't help my opinion of him, at all- and them including the Multiverse of Madness teaser was like, "....I'm supposed to care???" also who fucking called them connecting What If....? Me, called it, they won't let ANYTHING be disconnected at this rate.

In FFH, its literally a poorly planned ending....and here, its another MCU angst ending, cause I dunno, no character can escape their movies or TV shows happy for five minutes- only Shang Chi and I think Eternals escaped this curse, but I can't tell with Eternals so.... And yeah, I'm mood with Phase Four being bad, as so far I only fully enjoyed Shang Chi- Wandavision? Bland and takes Wanda from does mean well even if she fucks up to just....PURPOSELY hurting people basically. Falcon And The Winter Soldier? I enjoyed aspects off it and honestly, out of the currently complete MCU shows, would rewatch it over the others and Sam as Captain America was good, but it suffers from a bad finale still and Loki??? Should have left Loki dead if that was what they were going to put him through....do I even mention the selfcest? And I don't care for Hawkeye to be honest, I'll probably watch it when I can uh, lets say get it via online means, but for now its meh to me- and What If...? I only enjoyed one-two episodes out of it, rest were meh or bad or annoying.

As for the movies? You got a how fucking late is this movie with Black Widow that fails to be as good as its intro, the god of phase four that is Shang Chi as only good movie, not seen Eternals but not really interested in them tbh and No Way Home is a dumpster fire and Multiverse of Madness will likely be another. And yeah, realllllyyy should have stopped at phase three- as they completed the infintity arc and got rid off half their heroes....so now its forcing in the multiverse, Kang, that lady that appeared in FATWS and BW ending and possibly going for young avengers....when its obvious they desperate and due to not stopping after phase three, are now scrambling to excuse why its continuing.

So I think you’ve noticed that black widow has become my new hyper-fixatation (especially Yelena Belova) because marvel has pretty much disappointed me on every other front.

Well apparently I can’t have nice things, people keep shipping Yelena with Bucky or Kate Bishop saying she’s a lesbian or whatever. Uhhhh Yelena is canonically aro/ace and directly specify’s she doesn’t want a relationship. There have been literal comments saying “the MCU is different than the comics”, “why does it matter?” “She’s jay repressing herself, she’s actually a lesbian”

And it’s just like ugh, like I expect Disney to be homophobic but seriously? You guys too?

To be honest, this is the kind of behavior I expect from different parts of the MCU fandom...I say different parts because each character seems to have its own fandom lol.

I really don't understand what it is about this franchise that gives people the desire to talk over marginalized fans, but honestly, I'm not surprised.

i just watched black widow and through my tears i'm writing my thoughts about it lol

BW SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT

i literally JUST finished it like i just closed out of the movie and came here (after about 10 minutes of just straight fucking sobbing) so my thoughts are still fresh and emotional so sorry if this doesn't make any coherent sense at all lol

i can't believe natasha is gone now. i wish i had words to describe the fucking pain i am currently feeling lol

but besides that, it was such a good fucking movie. it's one of those movies that you just feel you need to rewatch it over and over again because it's just stuck in your mind like that. but honestly i don't think i could handle watching it again anytime soon, i can't cry this much again lol

i just can't believe that natasha and yelena didn't get more time together. i honestly just don't have any words for it but i just can't believe they found each other and made amends... and that's fucking it. i hate marvel so much right now (okay yeah they made a bw movie that was fucking awesome but they also broke my heart lol) but i hate how that's all they get. the best part of both of their childhoods was each other, and they finally got each other back, and now that's gone.

but onto more of the movie parts i guess? if you could call it that idk?? but I NEED TO TALK ABOUT NATASHA AND DREYKOV HOLY FUCK when natasha took off the mask THE WAY I FUCKING GASPED i was literally frozen with my mouth open for a good minute after. i was so disappointed when it was melina, and i was so fucking shocked it was natasha. maybe i should have seen it coming bc... it's marvel and that kind of shit happens all the time but in my defense i was already crying and sad so i wasn't rlly thinking about the classic marvel moves

but WHEN NAT GOES OFF ON DREYKOV HOLY FUCK I LOVED THAT MOMENT SO MUCH calling him a coward and weak and nothing... i wish i had words to describe how i felt in that scene like i was so proud of natasha and i don't even know how to explain it, like she deserved that moment so much. she's just so good, and yeah i don't even know how to put it into words and i wish i could so bad because that scene impacted me so much for some reason.

i don't know why, but that scene really really stuck with me. just.. the wholeee scene. when he kept hitting her and she let him because she knew she was stronger and she just kept getting back up after every single hit to prove how weak he was.. and i honestly don't even remember what exactly she said to him but i remember she was calling him weak and how he was nothing, and especially the moment were dreykov was in his chair at his desk and natasha was leaning over him, i think it was before he hit her (but also after all that when he showed her about all the widows, when she says "thank you for your cooperation" and hits her head to sever the nerve, i love that part too, god i love all of it lol), and again i don't remember exactly what she said but that specific fucking scene impacted me so much, just something about her emotions and just everything when she was calling him nothing and weak before he hit her, and then how she kept taunting him as he hit her... it has stuck with me so much

and also when she literally smashed her head to destroy her nerve... badass i love her so much

okay and yelena... oh my god i love her so fucking much. she's so sarcastic and just perfect lol i don't really know how exactly to do like character analysis or whatever, but her character is just so good. like with literally everything else about the movie, i wish i had the words to explain it but i just don't right now, but yelena is a new favorite of mine and i love her lol

the ending (not the infinity war one or the end credits one lol) where the widows and yelena and everyone are leaving and natasha is looking off, fucking broke me. i don't even know why, i feel like i probably should have felt empowered by it or whatever but it broke me. maybe it's cause it was basically the end and i don't know i just couldn't handle that for some reason lol

as for the end credits scene... yelena better fucking murder the shit out of clint. i know they won't make him die in his own series, but i really hope that no matter what they don't have them make up or come to amends. and if they fucking kill yelena off... i honestly don't even know what i would do lol

there's too much going on in my autistic brain to even separate what i'm feeling right now lol there is SO much more i want to talk about but now my mind is just completely jumbled up lol

Hi! I just read an article where Feige said, "IW will pay off every little tease and thread we had in the 18 films prior" & the Russo brother's seem to echo this. Is it just me wearing my Buckynat shipper glasses or do you think that the small subtle signs that Bucky & Natasha know each other will payoff in IW (flashback)? I don't want to get my hopes up like I did with AoU & CW. Can't believe they are making a BW movie until I'm standing in line with said ticket. MCU disappointed me many times

I know the feel, the black widow movie seems like too good to be true, right? but with so many people talking about it I hope marvel doesn't dare to back down now

I read what he said and honestly I'm not taking it too seriously, because I don't think it's realistic to expect the movie to address everything, sounds like an exaggeration... on the other hand, the Russos are directing, and they're the ones that have been hinting at buckynat since tws so... maybe, but imo it’s better not to read too much into that

Black widow was to have a smaller role in tws & vancamp was supposed to be the lead & it was already everywhere. I loved TWS but sharon's lack of screentime is one of the reasons why the fans don't know her well, hence the hate towards her and the actress. But what i'm waiting for is that MCU making natasha have an ACTUAL character development bc she's overused and nothing fresh from her. It's so disappointing that these two women never interacted reminding that they were besties in the comics.

A bunch of things here.

First and foremost, I don’t think that we can blame fans’ hatred of Sharon and EVC on Sharon’s lack of screentime, because that’s contrasted with, well, basically every minor white male character. Look at Clint pre-Avengers. Look at Coulson. Look at Brock Rumlow, who had less screentime in Cap2, was explicitly a villain, and yet still has a ton of fic written about him, as well as fans praising his performance, and his sidekick, whose name I keep forgetting but who apparently has a bunch of fans too.

Dislike of Sharon and EVC is primarily misogyny, and I honestly don’t know that giving her more time on screen would have lessened that. (There was a certain type of fan that was arguing pre-Cap3 that she should have less screentime. I like to believe her lack of screentime was not because of that, but. I wonder.) I do not mean this as an excuse for her lack of screentime, which sucks, but because I don’t believe in giving fandom credit we don’t deserve. And we don’t deserve it here.

Natasha... I disagree with you to a point. I don’t think she’s overused. But I do think they don’t really know what to do with her. IM2/Avengers/Cap2 gave us a character arc for her, which really needs to be explored with her as a focal character (primary or secondary) or else deepened through character work in further movies where she’s tertiary. Age of Ultron established that the Red Room background is movie canon as well as comics, but really did nothing to further Nat’s story; Cap3 has the glimmer of an idea that Natasha wants to protect the close found-family of the Avengers but never actually explores what that means. I’m sure someone will call me out if I’m misremembering here, but I feel like some of the directors have even said that they wanted to put in more but weren’t sure if she’d be getting her own movie and didn’t want to put in details that would box in any creators for that. So she’s in a weird limbo where they don’t know if they want her to be a bigger character, and are failing her character by letting her stagnate because of that.

Lastly- I don’t think Nat and Sharon are ever “besties” in comics. I feel like their relationship is best shown in KSD’s “Captain America and the Secret Avengers” one-shot; they work together, they know each other, they needle each other, but they’re not close friends. I mean, through fandom we have decided they’re close, which I adore because women working together and loving each other (romantically, sexually, or platonically) is my jam. But I’m not sure that that’s a history we can point to. The comics are just as bad as the movies about remembering women interact with each other. Showing Nat and Sharon interacting would be fantastic for both characters, and yet I am not at all surprised we aren’t getting a chance to see that.
