Lisa mentioned!!! I don't know much about the issue with her being flirty with the traveler and honestly, it sounds like people are nitpicking for something to complain about, but she's so cool!!

it sucks that the only thing people notice about Lisa are her looks (very pretty though) and flirtatious behavior when there's so much more to her! Not only is she the best Akademiya student they've had in the last 200 years, but she's also ridiculously strong. Varka wanted to make her a Captain right after Lisa joined, and it's stated that they would've been much stronger if she accepted that offer. Lisa has some of the coolest lore too and for some reason, no one talks about it??? She isn't even taking things seriously and she's already at this level of strength. She knew that she'd go crazy if she went down the path of pursuing knowledge no matter the cost, and a determined Lisa is NOT something that Teyvat would survive

For the other two that I definitely also agree with, I apologize if I get any of the lore wrong since I haven't done much of the Inazuma quests other than the main story (which was a while ago), but Kokomi, man!! Everyone was so hyped up when she first made her entrance, but then she suddenly just disappeared? In my opinion, the quest would've been cooler and had better lore if we spent more time with Kokomi than that Taipei (?) guy. No one talks about this either, but her ability to lead people is super impressive! Everyone doubted Kokomi when she first became the Divine Priestess since she was just a kid, but she proved them all wrong. Now, everyone trusts her and looks to her for help. Kokomi's skill as a leader is insane, and I really wish they did more with her lore 😭

Miko, man... No one talks about her unless it's to debate whether she's gay or manipulative!! She's only mentioned when people are talking about Eimiko and it sucks so much how seemingly no one sees how selfless and loyal she is. Miko was alone for 500 years!! I'm sure she had friends, but even those would only hurt her eventually since they would've passed away as well. The one person who experienced the same things, the one person who understood her, and the one person who she probably thought wouldn't abandon her like the others left her in her time of need without even saying goodbye. But Miko still waited! Even if she knew that there was a chance she'd never see Ei again, she was loyal enough to wait despite that. Miko gave up the very thing that gave Ei the authority of an archon without hesitation just for someone who had a chance to save Ei, the traveler. This is just my opinion, but I think Miko only really helped the people of Inazuma as much as she did as her way of preserving the eternity that her friend sacrificed so much for. She's so so kind and beautiful and loyal and selfless!! Whether you ship Eimiko or not, it's undeniable how Miko was such a good friend to Ei despite Ei not exactly reciprocating the same efforts.

Maybe I've just been on the wrong side of the fandom for long enough that I've seen complaints about Lisa and how she interacts with the Traveller ig (mostly due to the whole 'Traveller is a minor!!!!!' debate which......no energy is worth that age-old debate I'm ngl). Like I REALLY want them to go back to Mond and fully explore characters like her and Kaeya bc of how much they've got going on. You're ABSOLUTELY right in saying that she had her own selfish-sounding goal of keeping Inazuma basically upfloat. I'm not going to pretend that this woman's selfless as hell and would do anything and everything for her country cuz she won't unless Ei or a close friend (whom most, if not all, have died long ago) told her to. I saw an Eimiko poll in twt at one point where it was like "would Miko choose Inazuma or Ei" and NEAR EVERYONE chose Ei. On B side majority agreed that Ei would be the complete opposite which. Is REALLY sad but MY POINT IS!!! She chooses to live by her instincts, to base her decisions and devotions to what she knows and what she adores bc she had No Choice but to basically grow up like that. With that in mind, she could have EASILY shirked her responsibilities and went on to live with amusement as the Only focus she has, but instead she actually chooses to devote herself to the role her best friend relied on her for. Came across one of your ic posts of Ei talking about Furina and had a thought post Fontaine AQ I just felt like sharing: Traveler recommending a list of places all over Teyvat for Furina to visit if she ever decides to go on a little trip, or even travel.

And in Inazuma, like you said, Ei and Furina bonding over sweets and imposter syndrome.

But also: Furina immediately standing up for Ei when she overhears some people whispering / talking shit about Ei (most likely some angry Watatsumi folks but also probs some dissatisfied Narukami peeps).

And yeah she gets scared when those people challenge her on that topic bc she's not much of a fighter, but she's angry enough to actually stand her ground because they! Have NO idea what it takes!!! What being an Archon TOOK for them!!!!!! What it took FROM them!!!!!!!!! They have NO RIGHT to judge!!!!!!!!!!!!

But if Ei tried the same when encountering an angry Fontainian traveling Furina might try to talk her down because they don't know so their anger is understandable, and it's for the best that they don't know because Furina's deception was the whole point.

Full disclosure, I haven’t gotten that far into the recent archon quest at the moment but based on my own perspective of the characters so far, I definitely think Furina and Ei can get along with each other quite well. 

If there is someone out there who can understand what it’s like to live in the shadows and weather through pain on their own, it would be Ei. If there is someone who can know what it’s like to be surrounded by people and yet feel so terribly alone, it is Furina. They may not yet know each other’s circumstances or reasons, but those experiences/feelings are ones they can understand regardless. 

I have always maintained that people who are compassionate, genuine, enduring and bold (like Ayaka, Yoimiya, Traveler and Thoma together) would stand the most chances of getting through to Ei (understanding and/or even befriending her). And that very much applies to Furina too.  

Even if Ei thinks the people have grounds to harbour resentment and criticise her in some aspect/is willing to take what is constructive out of their dissatisfaction, the very fact that Furina would try and stand up for her despite how scared she is would mean a lot to her. 

I don’t think she has opened up towards the other archons about her sister’s death (granted I’m pretty sure they all have their hunches) or if she will ever be ready to, but if/when she is, I like to imagine that Furina would be the first/among the first who would hear about it. She’d know that she is Beelzebub. Not Baal. 

As for Ei doing the same, she respects that Furina does not wish for her to try and defend her to the Fontainians. However, that does not mean Ei has no other ways of making a point: Inazuma is her domain after all and Furina is her guest. To go out of one’s way to antagonise the guest of the nation’s Archon is to disrespect said Archon: Can the Fontainians responsible for offending/angering the Almighty Shogun bear the consequences of causing a diplomatic incident? 

The same question can also be extended in Fontaine: Should Ei send in a formal request/write in to appoint Lady Furina specifically as her guide in the nation during her visit.

as a poc myself (mixed, african dad nd white mom just so yk), it really, really doesn't sit right with me when people edit light-skinned, existing poc characters' pictures to give them the most stereotypical black features. im talking big lips and nose, poorly-edited curly hair, obviously the dark skin etc.

i get the point. i get the need for representation, we are DYING to be represented and i fully enjoy seeing black characters in the medias i consume, every goddamn time. but i cannot understand how it's acceptable to erase other cultures AND gratuitously edit someone else's work in the process. im gonna take genshin as a simple example bc this is the only one that's affecting me right now, but im guessing it happens in other fandom as well

seeing characters from inazuma edited with the most stereotypical black features of all times just rubs me the wrong way. it's, in my eyes, like saying you think asians don't matter as much as blacks, because you're erasing one type of poc representation to favor another one, and that's not right. that's the opposite of right, even.

im not talking about blasians. they exist, im aware, they're gorgeous and valid and i do wish they had more representation in the mainstream media. but who's just as valid? light-skinned asians. (small edit: so are dark-skinned asians that aren't blasians, btw) i just came across an edited itto with half-assed curly hair, big-ass lips etc, like... the original picture was just edited. which is why i want to nuance it a bit; redrawing a character and headcanoning (is that even a word) them as blasian can be cool, why not, do your thing, it's nice. but just editing someone else's work to erase one representation and making it about something else entirely? yeah, no, doesn't seem right. the artists work their asses off to create beautiful designs, to represent a culture with details thrown around, every last bit of the character is carefully designed and... it's just so disrespectful to throw that shit away and replace it for clout?

i wish people would, idk, draw ocs, or even real fanart for that matter. but simply editing someone else's art is never ok in my opinion, and it always infuriates me because if someone edited xinyan with light skin (and claiming they headcanon her as a light-skinned asian) they would get crucified. in a heartbeat.

i might get crucified myself but im just sick and tired of seeing these edits so at this point im getting desperate.

Hiii I decided to participate in ur ask!! If it’s not too much trouble I’d like to be paired with a Genshin character. ^^ I’m Momo! I have hime bangs and skunk colored hair. I’m 5’6 and I have decently small hands (lol) and feet (I still fit into children’s shoes 💀💀). I am a person of color n’ I like to say I have pretty nice lips (LMFAOOO SORRY I CAN’T TAKE MYSELF SERIOUSLY I FEEL SO EMBARRASSED). And I have clear framed glasses bc I can’t see shit far away from me. I like to say I’m pretty good at matching the energy of the other person I’m with. I tend to be a more caring person and often put others over myself. I suppose I am more wise than I am smart but I’m okay with that! One of my favorite pastimes is to sing. I am currently trying to learn how to play the guizheng and the biwa. Side note, I really like animals and enjoy being out at night to look at the stars. he laid down too and started pointing at many stars, explaining each and every one until you fell asleep on his bicep; a smile plastered on your face while you fell into a slumber.

zhongli-- he doesn't really sing in my personal opinion, he once sang but that was a long time ago.

so when you told him you liked singing to past the time, he asked if you could play one of your two instruments and sing for him; a smile adorned his face.

your eyes practically turned inti stars when he asked you, tints of red spreading across your cheeks.

not much people asked you to sing, so being asked to sing by him is already heartwarming to you.

so of course you did, each passing second as you sang and played; he was smiling and listening to you so intently.

when you finished he gave an applause and praised you on how amazing you sound.

the problem with these is generally that they take theories/headcanons for granted and don't fact-check it or don't bother to give the sources bc of the format. so they draw conclusions that are based on fake shit, and just speculate about characters with no regards to the source materials

i resent reddit. it's a shithole, but one thing that's cool abt it is the genshin lore subreddit (when it's not clogged by the aforementioned ppl). that's where i get most of the things i don't notice myself, and it's always super easy to check what they're talking abt, bc they give the sources every fucking time (if not op, then someone in the comments)

and one thing i don't understand is casual players complaining abt the lack of content, or the poorly-executed quests. don't get me wrong, the 2nd part of inazuma's archon quest was... questionable in terms of rhythm, and her 1st character quest felt rushed (especially if you don't have the character and don't rly know how different from the puppet ei is), but imo her 2nd character quest was extremely interesting. it's not a flawless game, but istg

anyway, i love casual players. however, for the love of god pay attention to the game before you call it boring
