I wrote a short random indulgent fic featuring the Soos trio themselves because we need more of them which mainly consists of:
A.) Choi Jung Soo finding the perfect apartment where they can all live in, or at least he says so.
B.) Jung Soo and Lee Soo Hyuk dragging Rok Soo along with them.
And most impotantly–
C.) Never trust Choi Jung Soo to search for an apartment, Rok Soo says as Jung Soo gasps in mock-hurt.
I also post it on ao3 so u can also check it out there if ya'll want to:))
Hope ya'll enjoy:)
The Soos Checking Out Their New Apartment (sponsored by Choi Jung Soo truly)
The next thing the team members know, Choi Jung Soo barges into the office, panting for breath as he clutches his chest. All of them begin to fret over him incessantly before he gently pushes them away and stalks towards Kim Rok Soo and Lee Soo Hyuk, his eyes shining in delight.
"Guys!" he yells, excitement reverberating through his bones. "I–ha–found–ha–a perfect–" He gasps for breath, immediately dissolving into fits of coughs. Lee Soo Hyuk hastily pats his back and tells him to slow down, Kim Rok Soo aggressively shoving a water bottle in Choi Jung Soo's mouth. Choi Jung Soo almost chokes but after forcefully gulping down water, he can feel himself breathing again.
When Choi Jung Soo finally catches air, his chest heaving up and down steadily, he snaps his head to glare at Kim Rok Soo.
"What the hell is that for–?!" he sputters, baffled. "Are you trying to kill me–?!"
Kim Rok Soo, with the same blank expression he often wears on his face, shrugs. "You're fine now," he says matter-of-factly.
Choi Jung Soo makes a choking noise like a steaming kettle about to blow off. "That does not make it better, you little punk–"
Kim Rok Soo wrinkles his nose. "We're the same age."
"I'm older than you!"
"We share the same birthday." Kim Rok Soo blankly states.
"You have yet to call me hyung!"
Lee Soo Hyuk pries Choi Jung Soo away from Kim Rok Soo, the former looking seconds away from lunging himself at Kim Rok Soo. "Hold your horses, buddy. You have yet to give us an explanation for why you suddenly burst into the room."
Choi Jung Soo's murderous expression ebbs, his face lighting up as if he just received birthday presents before his birthday even arrived.
"Did you break someone's ribs again?" Kim Rok Soo asks skeptically.
"What–no! What do you think of me–?"
"Mm. Remember that one incident–"
"That was one time! And he deserved it–" Choi Jung Soo spits back viciously.
Lee Soo Hyuk coughs into his fist, cutting them down with a stern look. "We're going off topic here."
Choi Jung Soo stabs a finger towards Kim Rok Soo, his eyelashes fluttering innocently. "Blame him. He started it."
Kim Rok Soo's face contorts. "What are you, a child?" He scoffs.
Lee Soo Hyuk rubs his temples, a migraine about to take over his head any moment now. Like it always has whenever he's surrounded with these two. Aigoo. These idiots.
He still can't quite stomach the fact that they are one of the–if not–the most skilled ability users in his team, more often than not bringing the best results every time they complete a mission.
Other team leaders envy him for taking such talented men under his wing, but Lee Soo Hyuk thinks that if anyone had found Choi Jung Soo and Kim Rok Soo before him, they'd have a hard time dealing with these sacrificial troublemakers.
Who would even believe they're the best team members he has with how they're acting like bickering teenagers going through puberty?
Lee Soo Hyuk pinches the bridge of his nose, releasing a quiet, deep sigh. “You two are making my hair turn grey.”
But then again, these are his troublemakers, he thinks fondly.
“Don't worry. You'll still look handsome regardless, hyung.” Choi Jung says confidently in a teasing manner, though his words are genuine. He straightens himself out while giving Kim Rok Soo the stink eye. “As I was saying,” he starts, emphasizing the last part clearly, directed for a specific someone. “I found the perfect apartment where we can all stay!”
“Yeah, no, I’m out.” Kim Rok Soo tries to back away. Lee Soo Hyuk grabs his collar, tugging him back towards them. Kim Rok Soo deflates, not bothering to fight back. Lee Soo Hyuk is scarily strong and can and will snap his bones if he wants to. “Team leader-nim, let me go.” he mutters weakly.
“Nope,” Lee Soo Hyuk pops the ‘p’. “This sounds interesting. Let’s listen.”
Kim Rok Soo grumbles but complies nonetheless. Lee Soo Hyuk cues for Choi Jung Soo to continue.
“Since every country across the globe–including South Korea–is starting to adjust with the apocalypse and all these monsters popping out of nowhere, people have started business and commerce once more. Which means–”
“Rental income is possible again, meaning people don't have to live in shelters.” Kim Rok Soo says, yawning. Choi Jung Soo snaps his fingers in approval. “Bingo!”
Lee Soo Hyuk hums, rubbing his chin in thought. “So where did you find this…‘perfect' apartment of yours?”
Choi Jung Soo waves his phone, grinning. “Online of course.”
“Are you sure it's not shady?” Kim Rok Soo asks, frowning. Before the apocalypse hit the world, he used to live in a small apartment in Seoul. He had a terrible experience living there with how the landlord would try to swindle him every chance he got, before Kim Rok Soo decided to move out and look for another one.
If Lee Soo Hyuk and Choi Jung Soo were to force him to live in an apartment with them, he very much prefers not having a fraudster as their landlord again. But then again…he can just scam them back if he wants to, that doesn't seem to be a terrible idea.
Choi Jung Soo shakes his head. “I double-checked it and even asked the others who specialize in such fields.” He plops himself in his armchair, twirling it around. He then sits ramrod straight, his face looking oddly serious. “Hyung, let's just ask for a day off and go check it out in person.”
Lee Soo Hyuk purses his lips, turning his head to look at the other team members. “Hm…” It wouldn’t hurt to ask the director to take a break, right? Besides, they’re all in dire need of one–especially Kim Rok Soo. The guy might just collapse out of the blue if he continues to overwork himself to death despite claiming his dream of wanting to become a slacker.
And if there are any monster attacks nearby when they’re gone, the others can just call them and they will be there in a jiffy.
Kim Rok Soo returns to his seat, already going through the paperwork he needs to sort through. He ignores the piercing stares being directed at him. “Are you not tagging along, Rok Soo-ya?” Lee Soo Hyuk asks, unsurprised. Kim Rok Soo usually drowns himself in a ridiculous amount of work–even if he hates it to the core.
Kim Rok Soo gestures at the piles of paperwork sitting on his desk, not looking up from the documents he’s currently reading and analysing. “I have work I need to catch up on.” he simply says.
Choi Jung Soo, not wanting to deal with Kim Rok Soo’s workaholic tendencies because the poor bastard has very visible eyebags underneath his eyes, strides towards him, snatching the documents from his hands. Kim Rok Soo yelps, piercing Choi Jung Soo with a sharp glare.
“Come on. You need to kick back and relax, even for just a little while. You can do all those tomorrow.” Choi Jung Soo says, his eyes pleading. Kim Rok Soo is vaguely reminded of a golden retriever wagging his tail in anticipation. “We can’t go there without you!” he cries.
Kim Rok Soo scrunches his eyebrows. Choi Jung Soo is acting dramatic–why do they need him to come along with them anyways?
Lee Soo Hyuk bobs his head in agreement. “It would be nice to take a short break. I think we three need one right now. Don’t you think, Rok Soo-ya?”
Choi Jung Soo beams, nodding his head vigorously. “What hyung just said!”
Kim Rok Soo groans inwardly. Great, Lee Soo Hyuk just has to take Choi Jung Soo’s side. They’re never going to stop bothering him unless he caves in. Kim Rok Soo releases a sigh, sagging in his seat. “Fine.”
Lee Soo Hyuk cracks a grin and Choi Jung Soo cheers, dragging a begrudging Kim Rok Soo to his feet as he swings his arm around his shoulder. “That’s the spirit!”
Kim Rok Soo says nothing, merely sweeping them all with a stoic glance. These two teammates of his are being way too energetic and enthusiastic for his liking. His mouth twitches at the thought.
Oh well, what can Kim Rok Soo do?
He might as well laze around if given the opportunity to do so.
. . .
“Are…are you sure this is the right place?” Lee Soo Hyuk asks weakly, fighting back the urge to smack Choi Jung Soo’s head to his senses. Kim Rok Soo crosses his arms, studying the building in front of them with disdainful eyes. “Choi Jung Soo. Be honest. Did you get scammed?” Kim Rok Soo sneaks a wry sidelong glance at him.
Choi Jung Soo huffs, affronted. “Am not. Do not judge a book by its cover.”
Lee Soo Hyuk and Kim Rok Soo turn to stare at him in sync with unimpressed gazes. Choi Jung Soo remains undeterred, stepping forward and throwing his arms high as if he’s presenting a grand spectacle. “Doesn’t it look amazing?”
Both the raven-haired men beg to disagree, observing the exterior of the building woefully.
They should have seen it coming when Choi Jung Soo led them all the way here through narrow nooks and corners, too empty and too quiet, with not a single person nor stray animal seen in sight. Kim Rok Soo forced himself to keep a straight face whenever he heard a strange noise, even when his internal self was cowering in his boots.
The building, also known as a studio apartment, is located in an eerily secluded area away from the main bustling streets of Seoul, hidden behind numerous alleyways and gangways, coating the air with tension and suspense. It’s shrouded in darkness, with only a few dim lamps barely flickering in a shallow attempt to chase the darkness away.
“It looks ugly. Just like you.” Kim Rok Soo says bluntly, taking a step back behind Lee Soo Hyuk. If this is where they’re going to live in, Kim Rok Soo prefers to just live straight in a dumpster.
Choi Jung Soo’s face sours as if he tasted lemon. “Excuse you, I look dashing.” he says, exuding an air of confidence. He ambles towards the doors of the dingy studio apartment, beckoning them to follow. Kim Rok Soo raises a brow. “Are you telling us to enter this very obvious suspicious apartment you found?” His voice is laced with disbelief.
“I have to admit, I agree with Rok Soo-ya on this one,” Lee Soo Hyuk chimes in, judging the building intently.
“Thank you, team leader-nim.”
Choi Jung Soo pulls their arms before they could utter muffled words of protests. “Let’s take a look. And, as I said–don’t judge a book by its cover.”
“Every reader does the opposite, you of all people should know that,” Kim Rok Soo mutters. Choi Jung Soo ignores him, pushing the doors wide open as they step inside the studio apartment.
“It’ll be great, just see!”
. . .
It is in fact, not great at all, in Kim Rok Soo’s humble opinion.
Yes, they did not expect the landlord to be an old lady who is reaching her twilight years, and yes she is extremely kind as she guides them towards one of the available rooms left, treating them all as if they’re her grandsons–and Choi Jung Soo, being the social butterfly he is, immediately gets along with her in no time.
However, when the friendly landlord opens the door to their ‘supposed’ room, shock is the best way to describe their reactions, sans Kim Rok Soo, who in truth, didn’t expect anything. When the landlord leaves them so that they can take a look around, they all stand there awkwardly.
“I mean…for a shabby apartment like this one, it looks neat?” Choi Jung Soo attempts to be optimistic. His optimism doesn’t quite reach his two other teammates though, shooting him shrewd looks.
Choi Jung Soo throws his arms indignantly in the air. “Hey, don’t ya’ll look at me that way. It’s the only one our meager money can afford. Not my fault we’re broke.” All of them visibly wilt at the reminder. Just because they prevent monsters from totally wrecking the cities, doesn’t mean they earn a filthy load of cash, much to the disappointment of everyone–especially Kim Rok Soo.
“...at least it’s near our office building?” Lee Soo Hyuk tries, poorly.
Kim Rok Soo stays silent, surveying his surroundings. “I think this is okay.” he confesses, quietly. In spite of Kim Rok Soo’s rough critique and outlook of the place, it’s better to live here than have none at all considering how the world is still trying its best to recover from the cataclysm that shook their entire lives drastically.
Choi Jung Soo and Lee Soo Hyuk turn their heads so fast that might’ve caused their necks to crack to gawk at him, wide-eyed and bewildered. “You do?!” Choi Jung Soo asks shrilly.
Kim Rok Soo gives an affirmative nod. “It’s better than nothing at all.”
Choi Jung Soo makes an awful wet noise that suspiciously sounds a whole lot like sniffling. He wraps an arm around Kim Rok Soo’s shoulder, trying to hug him as the latter pushes his face in disgust. “Rok Soo! My dongsaeng! How kind of you! You’ve finally said a kind word–!”
“...shut up.” Kim Rok Soo grouses, giving up his fruitless attempt of pushing Choi Jung Soo away. Choi Jung Soo wraps his arms around him giddily, Lee Soo Hyuk snickering in the background. “Oi, you punks. You’re leaving me out?” he asks with faux hurt, walking up to them.
Choi Jung Soo grins widely, opening an inviting arm. “Join us!”
Kim Rok Soo can feel a headache about to burst his head. “No–”
Lee Soo Hyuk takes that as an invitation to embrace them tight, laughing along with Choi Jung Soo as Kim Rok Soo’s ears turn bright pink.
“Look at that, hyung! He loves us–”
“Didn’t know you were the shy type, Rok Soo-ya–”
“Quit it, all of you–”
Echoes of laughter and grumbles erupt inside their apartment room, bright and light and carefree. At that moment, they are not the heroes who constantly save their country from the savage monsters running rampant as they try to tear their country apart, nor are they people who have lost everything and are doing their best to survive a dark, dangerous world–just regular men in their twenties looking for an apartment to live in, even if it’s worn out and cramped. So long as they have each other.

Okay so this is what I thought of while reading the interactions with the kids.
I just remembered that Vince is lactose intolerant, right? So how would you feel about lactose intolerant Vince with (reluctant) caretaker Max for a change?
I mean I can imagine maybe a class party or something with a kid wanting to make sure that Mr. Monacelli (or Mr. Mo because that is freaking cute) is having fun too, so they keep bringing him snacks.
I can totally see Vin accepting anything and everything from a kid with doe eyes and not having any way to refuse because the kid is watching him and wants to see Vin eat it. (Let's be honest, Vince would never even speak up because he wouldn't want to hurt their feelings).
After that Vin is feeling gradually sicker and sicker until Max can't keep ignoring him anymore, so Vin has to spill the tea.
Then Max is like "why did you even accept?" While Vin, slightly offended, is like "did you really expect me to say no to that kid?"
I know it's really detailed, feel free to ignore it, I just couldn't get this little scenario out of my head.
- 💜
💜! I hope you like this one, I slightly twisted it and it's a little different from my usual... So let me know what you think!
--------------------
Max frowned, leaning on the doorway of the kindergarten. His hands were full with a large tupperware with baking soda, food coloring and vinegar, the usual science fair volcano mix.
What caused him to pause, though, was the sight inside the classroom. Mr. Monacelli, or Mr. Mo to the little ones, was standing, with a kid on his hip, a little girl… Livia, judging by how comfortable he seemed to be as he held her.
Liv’s dark wavy hair was up pigtails and she had face paint on, the tip of her nose painted black and whiskers on her cheek, a matching look that was mirrored on the other children. Cats, the Musical, kindergarten version? Max thought with a snort.
Vince also had face paint on and he was chewing something Livia had just pushed inside his mouth, out of a box. Across the room Max noticed a tall chocolate cake, with a glittery candle that said 7 on top.
That explained it.
Birthday parties were always the bane of his existence, so he was incredibly glad he barely taught kindergarten and the older kids would rather die than celebrate in class. As far as he could remember it, he had bad experiences under his belt. From his mom trying to throw him a fully vegan party that had been a flop with him and his friends, to his father getting drunk and forgetting about his birthday altogether, to the fact once he turned eighteen his birthday all but disappeared as celebratory day.
“Mr. Mo,” a kid ran across the room, with glitter face paint all the way to his scalp. Max snorted at the sight, the parents surely would be over the moon about that, “tell Jess she can’t play with my toy.”
Vince frowned, crouching down to look at the little boy and Max frowned, staring at the scene. He couldn’t figure out this dude. Monacelli gave off military vibes. Football star, with his little homophobic fit the other day, driving that ridiculous motorcycle everywhere… And there he was, covered in glittery paint, scolding a boy for not sharing his toys and being fed cake pops by his little sister and her group of friends.
It just didn’t make any sense.
“Daniels, do you need anything?”
Max’s cheeks burned as he realized he had been caught staring and he shook his head, as five little heads looked at him, as well as Vince.
“No, just passing by.”
“Alright,” Vince waved him off, taking the boy’s hand and dragging him across the room to apologize.
It was a couple hours later when they met again. Max was smelling like bleach, after finishing up a biology class with the 10th graders, and ready to head home as he entered the staff’s lounge to retrieve his bag. He raised his eyebrows as he found Monacelli sitting on one of the couches, in the furthest corner, with his arms crossed to his chest and his head tipped back, as if he was asleep.
“Hey,” Max kicked Vince’s foot to wake him in case he was asleep, “day’s over.”
Vince wasn’t asleep — or maybe he was a really quiet sleeper? —  because he sat up straight with a groan, moving his arms to wrap around his stomach, “what do you want?”
Max frowned at the lackluster response, so unlike the man who always seemed to have his energy up, “school’s over, are you planning on crashing here? Maurice is gonna be locking this room soon.”
Vince let out a sigh, using the couch to push himself up and the other man realized he was a horrible shade of white… Damn near green.
“You look horrible,” Max said, taking a step back as he noticed Vince swaying slightly on his feet. Instead of denying, Vince simply nodded, bringing up a shaky hand to wipe the sweat off his brow.
“Yeah, I know-” he interrupted himself with a soft, sickly burp. He didn’t bother finishing his sentence, ceasing every movement as he gulped down, only to let out another little burp and a groan.
“What’s wrong with you?” Max eyed him suspiciously. There was no way this man had caught another stomach bug after measly five weeks of having one, right?
Vince pressed his forehead to the metal locker in the teacher’s lounge, seemingly devoid of any energy to put in his combination and retrieve his bag. Most teachers didn’t even put in a combination, everyone used the standard 0000.
“Monacelli,” he stepped closer, despite wanting nothing to do with illness or this guy. It was just unnerving.
“I’m fine,” Vince breathed out, but it would have been a lot more convincing if he wasn’t swallowing in convulsively and clutching his stomach. Stomach, which by the way, was pressing against his work polo. The guy wasn’t small by any means and Max could’ve told he had a tummy to begin with, but now it was nearly poking out.
“Yeah, you look terrific,” Max rolled his eyes, walking to retrieve his own bag and deciding he was done with the whole scene, “feel better-”
He never quite finished his sentence, before Vince let out a little strangled noise and then rushed across the room, to the teacher’s bathroom. He slammed the door behind him and Max cringed in sympathy as he heard a muffled groan.
Now he couldn’t just leave the idiot, right? Not after he had driven him home?
Max carefully walked closer, tapping his knuckles against the door, “Monacelli, do you need anything? Meds? The nurse? Your mom?”
He expected to hear Vince telling him to go fuck himself, but instead there was a noise of liquid hitting liquid, followed by retching and more liquid.
Shit. Perhaps, even, literally.
Max chewed on his lip, looking around the room helplessly as if an older adult would appear and take over the situation, but he sadly was the only adult. He looked at his watch. 3:40 PM. Office hours were over, the janitor and the security would soon be finishing their rounds and closing up the school.
“Dude,” he sighed, knocking again, “you kinda need to leave, they’re gonna lock us here.”
“Go away…” Vince groaned, his voice raspy and choked up.
Max scoffed, “are you crying?” really? “Mona-”
“I said, go away,” Vince repeated, much harsher now and Max’s mouth snapped shut, his cheeks heating up as his temper got the best of him.
“Fine,” he said bitterly, loudly walking away,  “drown there, see if I care.”
Sadly, much to Max’s displeasure, he had a guilty conscience and couldn’t make it even to the parking lot. He let out a sigh and glared at the now empty parking lot. Only four vehicles left, one of them being Vince’s stupid motorcycle.
There was no way the man could go home in a fucking bike.
“Moron,” Max groaned, walking back inside. He fully expected to find Vince back in the teacher’s lounge, so it was much to his surprise when they ran into each other in the hallway. Or rather, he ran, because Vince was frozen in place, an arm wrapped tightly around his belly and breathing through the nausea carefully.
“Oh there you are-”
“Thought I told you to leave,” Vince groaned, not looking up from the spot in the linoleum he was staring at, trying to keep his stomach in check, “careful, or I’ll believe you give a shit.”
“Fever must be through the roof, you’re delusional,” Max snarked, curiosity getting the best of him as he stepped closer and raised a hand to touch Vince’s forehead.
Monacelli was much taller, and bigger, so when he pushed Max’s hand away with an impatient huff, the other teacher stumbled on his feet.
“I don’t have a fever,” Vince scoffed, straightening up. He looked worse, more green and more drenched in sweat, “I’m lactose intolerant and I ate- I ate half a chocolate cake…” his gut let out an upset, whiny gurgle that was loud enough for Max to hear.
The blonde stared at him for a second, before cackling “are you fucking with me!?”
When he didn’t get an answer, except for Vince’s cheek ballooning with yet another burp that he muffled with a fist, Max’s laughter lessened down to a chuckle, his shoulders shaking, “oh… You’re serious? You’re in this shape because of some chocolate?”
He really was the one to judge, Max thought with a snort, remembering he’d be hurling much sooner if he ate half a chocolate cake. But then again, he wouldn’t be stumbling around cradling his tummy and whining.
“What do you want, Daniels?” Vince groaned, rubbing a hand over his face, “I don’t fucking get you. I helped you, not once, not twice, but three times by now, and you’re still a dick.”
Max’s chuckle died immediately, his cheeks burning, “sorry, should I’ve been bowing and kissing your feet? What do you want, cuddles and kisses because your tummy hurts?”
Vince raised an unimpressed eyebrow, “I’m really sorry you weren’t hugged enough as a child,” he said coldly, “but yeah, actually, I do have people who take care of me when I feel ill, because I’m not a fucking jackass.”
“Says you,” Max snorted, rolling his eyes and gesturing to the empty hallway, “where’s the queue to cuddle you? I don’t see it.”
“I know what your problem with me is,” Vince scoffed, pressing his back to the wall behind him and huffing. He was shaking, which was not a good sign and Max bit down the urge to ask if the guy was okay.
“Enlighten me,” he said instead and Vince folded in half, planting his hands on his knees and breathing through a cramp.
“You’re jealous,” he said through his teeth and Max glared daggers at him, his stomach dropping to his feet.
He wasn’t jealous, he was… He just didn’t think Vince was anything special. Surely he was allowed this opinion?
For example, if Vince was so great, why was he about to hurl all over the floor that Maurice had probably already cleaned? That was asshole behavior.
Max mentally patted himself on the back, before saying loudly, “here, Mr. Moron, don’t hurl all over the floor,” and pushing a garbage bin in front of the guy. He didn’t expect Vince to make immediate use of it, falling to his knees and grabbing the metal bin with his hands, hugging it to his chest as a huge gush of projectile vomit fell inside of it.
He jumped back, startled, then tip-toed closer, feeling a new shade of shitty as he heard Vince let out a whimper and bury his head in, burping wetly once more and continuing to convulse and cough.
“If you’re such hot shit, why didn’t you not eat the thing you’re aware makes you super ill?” Max asked, mostly to himself, hesitantly moving closer to plant a hand in the middle of the guy’s back. Even down on his knees, Vince was still pretty freaking tall.
Max patted his back in a hesitant manner, then cringed as he heard footsteps down the hallway. Curse both their lucks, Vince’s because he was about to be caught hurling his brains out, and Max’s because now he’d have to look out for the prick.
He braced for Fernanda, the principal, or Maurice, the janitor, but raised his brows as the person who rounded the corner was no one he knew. The man was well into his mid fifties or early sixties, with wavy light brown hair and blue eyes… And he was really tall.
Max cringed as suddenly he realized he knew Mr. Monacelli from parent-teacher meetings and that the old guy would be expecting him to act like a lovable guy, the same lovable teacher he was when talking about Sophia or Livia. Fuck.
“Mr. Mona-”
“Dad,” Vince croaked, lifting his head for a slight second, “fuck- Fuck, it hurts.”
Mr. Monacelli all but ignored Max as he crouched down next to his son, planting a wrinkly hand on his back and rubbing in wide circles, “I got you, I got you. Get it up and then I’m taking you home.”
Max bit the inside of his cheek so as not to chuckle at that, “Uh- Hi…?”
“Mr. Daniels,” Giuseppe zeroed him, opening a small smile, “thank you for keeping him company.”
Sure. That was what he was doing.
“Yeah, uhm- Of course,” Max scratched at his beard, as Vince let out another sickly belch, bringing up a bit more watery vomit, and then leaned back, his head hitting the lockers, chest heaving, drenched in sweat.
“Babbo, I’m dying.”
“You should be,” Giuseppe glared at him, “what a stupida idea was that?” he softly thumped on his son’s forehead, “I couldn’t believe my ears when Livia told me. Cazzo, you’re an adult, Vincenzo!”
Vince frowned, looking pathetically close to tears, “babbo,” he breathed out, wiping at his mouth and clutching his bloated belly, “later?”
“Idiota,” his father scoffed, grabbing his arm and helping him get up, “Non pensi?”
“Dad,” Vince said a little harsher and his father stopped scolding him continuously, glaring at his son.
“Let’s go home- Thank you for helping him, Mr. Daniels,” Giuseppe said, still oblivious to the role, or lack of one, Max had played.
“Of course,” Max said cheekily, following them out, “any time, Vince. I hope your tummy feels better.”
“Go fuck yourself, Danie- Babbo!” Vince cried out, as his father slapped the back of his hand, dragging him out of the school and towards his car.
“Don’t swear at the boy, he helped you,” Mr. Monacelli glared at Vince, “get in the car.”
“What am I, five?” Vince groaned, stumbling to the car and bracing against it, breathing deeply through the nausea.
Max bit down a smirk, “Bye Mr. Monacelli,” he said happily, “bye Vinny.”
Behind his father’s back, Vince raised a middle finger at him.

I hate it so much when the party banter finally starts, and it happens in one of the camps, and barely one or two lines in, the goddamn requisitions officer interrupts it and cancels it out completely with "NOTHING TO REPORT, SIR" or "INQUISITOR." I've never wanted to dropkick an NPC this bad before.

Trying to get both Karlach and Wyll on my Durge run along with Minthara for extra banters, but then forgot to do proper steps (1) steal the idol and (2) entrust Wyll and Karlach to Withers before the raid. So during the goblin party they got automatically revived despite me specifically AVOID reviving them??? Anywho I thought I had to redo the whole thing, but out of desperation, I used the script extender console command to max out approval w/ Karlach and Wyll before the new day started and they stayed 🎉
I can make a post if anyone is interested in this chaotic method (PC Only because you need the Script Extender with console enbaled)

Prompt: Resolutions from @roosmavprompts
Title: I promise you this
Author: altered60
Rating: E
Tags: Alternate universe - canon divergence, friends to lovers, wooing, mutual pining, oblivious idiots, well one in particular, and I mean oblivious, idiots in love, misunderstandings, not actually unrequited love, getting together, Bradley is a true romantic, Bradley has it bad, explicit sexual content, Bradley makes an A+ boyfriend, slow burn, because of aforementioned oblivious idiot, bottom Maverick, top Bradley, communication might be good, E rating for last chapter
Word Count: TBC (but over 8k so far)
Chapter: 1/3
Summary: When Bradley tells Maverick that his new year's resolution is to spend the next year wooing the person he loves, his regret is instant. He’d left his confession too late, Bradley had moved on, fallen in love and all Maverick could do was watch from the sidelines and hope the person Bradley was spending his time on was worthy and that he wouldn’t forget about him.
Maverick shouldn’t have worried. If anything, Bradley spent more time with him, ensuring to strengthen their friendship, showering him with time and gifts, enough so that Maverick joked he was the one being wooed.
Cue: twelve months worth of dates, one extremely oblivious pilot, one idiot with good intentions and a love that even the man on the moon could see.

There's this TikTok trending sound floating around where the gist is 'can't tell if the friend who is always fake flirting with you is still fake flirting' and I immediately thought of these two. It's practically canon IMHO.
Who is kicking up the fake flirting a notch differs between the two of them on the daily.

it starts with lending you a jacket when you're out late and it gets cold. he laughs at you first, makes fun of the way you shiver, but then his eyes drift and he realises he can see your hardened nipples through your shirt and suddenly he's layering you up in his jacket just to keep his mind from short-circuiting.
but the sight of you in his jacket is no help either, not when you drown in it because he's so damn tall and he's reminded of the difference in size between the two of you and for the first (more like third) time he's wondering what you'd look like beneath him in a mean mating press. how you'd feel shaking under his body weight: like how you're shaking now, but pleasure wracking your body rather than the cold wind.
he tells himself it's fine to have these thoughts. you're his best friend, you spent every waking hour together: it's only natural that his thoughts would eventually drift southwards. he'll snap out of it, he just needs to jerk off and clear his mind.
so he walks you home, and lets you keep the jacket.
but that night, he's in the shower with hot water scalding his skin, eyes squeezed shut as he strokes his cock at an inhuman pace. fucks his fist with anything but you in mind—he thinks about all his past trysts, about whatever porn he's seen lately, about his fucking cursed technique.
and he thinks he has it, he's pumping his cock with crazed strokes in an attempt to cum and clear his mind, but just as that pleasure starts to break into white hot lust, all he sees is you. in nothing but his jacket, wrecked on his cock and begging him for more.
and when he cums, he sees your eyes pleading up at him from where you’d rest on your knees, ready to take his load into your mouth because you crave the taste. He swears he can feel your fingers splayed over his thighs… your tongue tracing the pronounced vein that runs up the underside of his cock… your heated presence in the shower alongside him.
satoru says your name as he cums, and realises he’s wholly fucked and not coming back from this.
so, naturally, gojo plays into it.
the next time you see him is at his place, you come around to spend time with him and talk about the mundane that always seems exciting when spoken in the lilt of your voice. he offers you a drink, pours you a glass of red and promptly spills it over your pretty top—purely accidental, of course.
and he only takes a moment to admire the way the soaked fabric clings to your skin before he’s bolting into action and offering you a shirt of his own.
“it’s like you’re trying to steal my wardrobe, huh? first my jacket… now my shirt… got something to admit to, hm? you like wearing my clothes?”
it’s playful banter, you think, and roll your eyes with a huff as he hands you a shirt that’s oversized even on him. he wants to see you drown in the fabric, covered in him through clothing until he can cover you in another aspect of himself.
you make him look away while you change, though you know it’s an effort wasted because he’s all-seeing or whatever. and when satoru finally gets a look at you in his shirt he knows it’s game over. it’s like he’s left a mark on you, staked him claim not through bite marks or hickies as he usually would, but through the fabric that adorns your skin. his clothes smell like him, look like him, and are being worn by you.
he’s beyond hard, his cock is tenting his pants and he’s almost offended you haven’t yet noticed, because there’s no hiding a boner when you’re his size. you’re sweet enough not to look, even steal a glance out of curiosity—but he isn’t; his eyes are roaming your skin in such a heated way you feel feverish. it’s how he notices the wine that has spilt on your skirt as well.
he could tell you—offer you a pair of his sweats and cum in his own pants as the way they’d hang off your hips—but he doesn’t. instead, your best friend satoru gojo, the man you know like scripture, drops to his knees and takes the hem of your skirt between his fingers.
“what are you doing?” you think he’s cruel for a joke like this, when he looks so good on his knees, his tongue darting out to moisten his lips as if he’s aching for a taste of you. you squeeze your thighs together, groan at the thought of gojos relentless teasing if he realises you’re soaking wet right now. “this isn’t funny.”
“i’m not laughing,” he says, tone flat. “your skirt is stained.”
“oh,” it is, you can see the wine seeping into the fabric.
gojo laughs, his grin sinful. “what? you get all flustered when i’m on my knees? how lewd.”
“shut up,” you try and step backwards, put some space between him and your pulsing heat, but his hands come to grip your thighs, fingers cool as they brush under your skirt and press into your skin. “you’re an asshole, toru.”
“i know,” his fingers creep higher. “i’m sorry.”
“no you’re not.”
“i know,” he parrots. “but you will be.”
“wh—“
in one practiced movement, satoru rips your skirt down and exposes you to him. he has to bunch up the shirt of his you wear with one hand and keep you from running with the other, but he’s met with a beautiful sight as a reward for all his pining.
“for coming to my house with no fucking panties on and acting like you don’t want me to fuck you like we’re more than friends.”
you learnt quickly upon befriending satoru gojo that he always seems to get what he wants. this is no exception, because after he spends so long fucking you with his tongue that his knees go numb against the cold tile, he’s got you laid down on his couch, his t shirt bunched up over your waist just enough for him to watch his cock sink into you over and over and over again.
he loves the sight of you grabbing at the fabric to keep it out of the way— how you whine for him to just let you take it off, all for him to press his lips to yours and conjoin you so you couldn’t undress even if you tried.
how with each thrust of his ravaging cock into you, he’s whining like he’s not the one in control. babbling filth as if he’s not got you pinned and taking every last inch of him—he’s pussy drunk and overbearing in his excitement and slurring his words as he speaks against your open mouth.
“never allowed to wear your own clothes again,” he steals your breath with each gasp he gives between thrusts. “only mine. i’ll burn yours, fuck, i hate your clothes.”
“you…” gojos fast rutting stalls your sentence. “…you brought me that skirt.”
“yeah? well where is it now?”
you recall the lecture you tried to give him when he threw your wine-stained skirt into his trash bin. you’d protest his dictation of what you wear if you had the mind to do so—but his cock is hitting your g spot in tandem with the ministries of his fingers over your clit… you’re half-near brain dead with the way he splits you open and unravels you like the threading of his clothes he’s fucking you in.
you can’t count your orgasms, only feel them shoot static up your spine with each one gojo manages to pull from you. and when he cums, spills over your parted thighs to dress you further in the essence of him, you swear you hear him babble something about putting a ring on your finger some day, to dress you in something of his permanently.
but friends don’t talk like that.
they don’t fuck like this either, though.

★ STRAWBERRIES AND CIGARETTES. all the times gojo desperately wants to kiss you, and the one where he finally does.
ft. satoru gojo x reader.
warnings — loser!reader / popular!gojo. smoking, kissing + making out. consumption of alcohol, mentions of sex, lots of cheesy banter. sato is a man down bad ! slow-burn kinda but mostly just very sfw fluff :p
(呪術廻戦) : note — 7k words + in my fluff era again awooga
Tumblr media
୨୧ ⌞ act one: strawberry shampoo. ⌝
gojo rarely sees you. not often, truly. in class is different, but even then, it's infrequent.
you always wear a bored, distant look, as if you'd rather be anywhere but here. he suspects you simply don't care. the professor's words wash over you, in one ear and out the other.
most people don't notice your frequent absences. gojo does. he always does. the empty seat at the back of the room never escapes his eye.
it feels emptier, too, despite your quiet nature. he's unsure why. why he's so captivated by you. but when you are present, he stares. trying to be subtle, yet desperate to memorize every detail: the curve of your lashes, the perceived softness of your lips.
perceived softness, he should clarify. gojo isn't a creep. he doesn't spend every waking moment fantasizing about kissing you. (only every other waking moment.)
he knows you know he exists. you've exchanged words a few times, straddling the line between acquaintance and stranger. it's odd, but he finds a strange peace when you converse.
you're funny, kind, caring. a good listener, with a voice like honey he could listen to all day. god, he loves your voice. he wishes you'd speak more. if you did, people would listen. there's a lilt in your voice that makes him.
he's your opposite. you keep to yourself, wired earbuds always in. gojo has friends — many friends. he thrives on company and conversation.
he's got his whole crew: nanami, shoko, geto, haibara, utahime. even toji and sukuna, on a good day.
academically, he's a powerhouse. top of the class, loaded with extracurriculars, tests always returned with a perfect score.
and you? you're number two. he's certain you could be first, but you simply don't care. no ambition to be the best, no need to prove yourself.
you're just… there. you show up, ace your exams, and leave. he'd be threatened by the competition, but you don't seem to want it. he doubts you even realize how close you are to taking his spot.
it's infuriating. so much potential, so little drive.
yet, it's utterly enticing. you're enticing.
it's a shock when he pulls into the gas station in the dead of night, needing kikufuku because geto devoured the last of it, and there you are. perched on the ledge behind the worn building.
he doesn't see your face at first, but he recognizes the leather angel kiss bag you practically live with, adorned with sonny angels and charms.
the grocery bag falls limply in his hand. he takes a few steps, stopping just behind you. he calls your name out, quiet and hesitant, a rare tone for gojo. there's a crinkle of foil from you, and you turn, startled.
"gojo?" you inquire, head tilted.
"uh, hey," he manages a gentle smile. "what're you doing here?"
a small smile touches your lips. "hi. i could ask you the same."
the white-haired boy chuckles. "dickhead roommate ate all my snacks."
your quiet laugh is beautiful, he thinks. "yeah? well, i ran out of cigarettes." you place one between your lips. sliding over on the ledge, you offer a silent invitation, which he accepts.
you're close. the scent of your saccharine strawberry shampoo fills his senses.
"want one?" you offer. he shakes his head. gojo doesn't smoke, rarely drinks. instead, he watches you inhale, then exhale, wispy gray curls dissolving into the dark.
the silence between you is mellow, not awkward. in the dim streetlamp glow, your lips look coated in strawberry-red gloss, leaving a stain on the white of the cigarette.
"sure you don't want a hit?" you ask, sensing his heavy, focused gaze.
and because he'd do anything at the sound of that voice, he nods, changing his mind.
satoru gojo has game, no doubt. one hundred percent. he's smooth with women, but you're not just any woman. you're you, and with you, his game dissolves. all his past charm feels irrelevant, meaningless.
it's just you. you and him. he's not sure how to navigate it, and his attempt only leaves him embarrassed.
his eyes fix on the red smudge. he presses his own lips directly onto that spot. this isn't even a kiss, but an odd euphoria floods him, as if he's never kissed anyone before.
gojo's eyes flutter shut. he takes a quick, deep inhale, lasting only seconds before he's spluttering, coughing. a dry, charcoal-like feeling enters his lungs, leaving his throat dry. "jesus," he winces, handing it back.
you giggle, not teasing, but amused. he echoes the sound, and you both dissolve into laughter.
at two in the morning, everything's funny. your hands brush his as you take the cigarette.
"a— are you okay?" you ask, trying to compose yourself.
"yeah!" he clears his throat. "i mean, yeah. yes. i'm good."
"never smoked?"
"nah. coach would kill me," he chuckles, and you hum. sometimes, he forgets he's that picture-perfect, well-rounded student. in these moments, everything else fades.
"yeah," you say, meeting his gaze. his eyes are already on you.
"yeah," he repeats, smiling.
and then he remembers your closeness. his heart, if it ever slowed, races. should he do it?
should he kiss you?
you're so sweet, so pretty, right there — so close. he leans in, instinctual, like his body is drawn to yours.
and maybe you're leaning in, too?
just like that, gojo doesn't have time to tell, because his phone rings, a bleary call from his confused roommate.
just like that, the moment shatters. gojo pulls back, farther than before. the sweet scent of your shampoo vanishes, the press of his thighs against yours, knees knocking, gone.
you wave goodbye. he waves goodbye.
and just like that, you're back to being the girl in his class. the girl behind the gas station.

୨୧ ⌞ act two: pro-bono deals. ⌝
gojo doesn't see it coming. he knows you're here often enough, a quiet fixture in the library's familiar hum. there's not much he knows about you, not really, but what little he's gathered, he clings to like scripture.
he knows you like to read. that's a given.
he knows the cute thing you do with your nose when you're deep in thought, a slight scrunch, lips pursed just so.
he knows you hate writing in pen. he offered you one once, when you were caught without anything to write with, but you’d asked for a pencil instead. something about being accident-prone, you'd said.
he knows your handwriting is god-awful, an illegible scrawl that makes him abandon any idea of feigning interest in your notes as an excuse to talk. he figures it’s because your brain moves faster than your hands can keep up.
he knows you like flowers, sometimes catching you pausing by the daisies near the fountain on the way to class.
these little things, these quiet quirks you have, he catalogues them meticulously. they're important to him, these small habits you might not even notice yourself.
it's what makes it so real, so tangible. it makes him feel like he knows you, as pathetic as that might sound.
what you don't like is studying. so, when he sees your nose buried deep in the familiar green shade of a physics textbook, he's got every right to be a little lost. for the entire two and a half years he's known you, gojo has never seen you go out of your way to study.
he shifts his weight, from one foot to another. he could let you be, let you work. or, he could… work with you? would that even be okay? after a dreadful moment of hesitation, he slides into the seat beside you.
you’re surprised to see him; it seems like you always are, when it’s him. nonetheless, a smile touches your face, so it’s a pleasant surprise. "gojo, what's up?"
"just… reading through things, studying for finals," he says, watching you close the book. "you don't mind if i sit here, right?"
"no, not at all," you assure him, waving off his mild concern. "i might go crazy reading this dumb thing alone, anyways."
gojo laughs, and your heavy sigh turns into a little chuckle. "don't like physics?"
"don't like science," you correct, slumping in your seat. you click and un-click your pen, groaning, "it's so boring."
"sounds about right coming from a literature major." he hopes you don't focus on how he knows your major. it seems to be alright, though, because you know his.
playfully, you raise your brows. "seriously, i have no idea how you're planning on doing that for the rest of your life."
"you're not bad at it, are you? i mean, based on, like, your scores and… stuff."
"no. i guess not. all my absences are catching up to me, though, and i'm a little behind."
he supposes it makes sense for you to be struggling a little, at least. he's not sure how you do it in the first place, managing to pass at all without any visible effort. sure, gojo's smart, but he's not that smart. he wouldn't say he's envious, but he wishes he had that ability.
the words tumble out of his mouth before he can stop them. "well, i could help you out," he offers. it comes out as more of a question, which he hates himself for. he also wishes he were more confident around you.
your eyes light up. "really? because field theory's kinda killing me." your gaze flickers from your notes to him, a little skeptical. you’re just not sure why he's hanging out with you in the first place, much less willing to, like, tutor you.
"yeah. if you want," his voice is a little less tentative, this time around.
"like… pro-bono?"
gojo chuckles. "sure. if you're up for aiding me in psychoanalyzing othello."
"you know what?" you ask, sticking your hand out. "deal."
he can't help the grin that spreads across his face, and he accepts your handshake. "deal."
your hand feels soft in his, and the mere touch makes him shiver. gojo inhales quietly, his eyes briefly glancing down to your lips.
it's the same strawberry-colored gloss. like a man down bad, all he can wonder is if it tastes like it, too.
Tumblr media
୨୧ ⌞ act three: to get or not to get (some). ⌝
"i think we need to get you laid," shoko remarks, rather casually, the words cutting through the bass and chatter of geto's party. it makes gojo choke on his drink, a cheap beer in a red plastic cup, his grip tightening around it.
geto seems entirely too amused by this, a low laugh rumbling in his chest. "shit, sho, look at him, all red."
"shut up," he seethes, an unnatural flush creeping up his neck. he can feel the heat on his cheeks, a testament to his unexpected embarrassment.
she sighs, a faux melancholy. "poor guy. the clenched jaw tells me all i need to know."
"i don't— alright," gojo groans, quickly giving up. it's useless to argue with them when they're like this. "go ahead, abuse me like the great friends you are."
swirling her vodka with a straw, shoko snorts. "we are good friends, trying to save you from your newfound virginism."
"she's right," geto says pointedly, leaning forward. "you're like a male nun."
weakly, gojo repeats himself, "shut up." just as he’s reaching for his phone, a girl walks by. short dress, long legs, a smile that’s less friendly, more predatory, aimed straight at him. at some point, she would’ve been his ideal type, the kind of easy distraction he gravitated toward.
now? now, he doesn't even bat an eye. shoko looks at geto, a silent communication passing between them. geto looks at shoko. gojo glances up from his pocket, catching the sly, knowing looks his friends are giving him.
"or… maybe he's already getting some," geto nods, a mix of betrayal that he wasn't told and grudging impressment in his voice.
"you dog," shoko chuckles, nudging his arm with her elbow. "c'mon, who?"
"it's not— i'm not—"
geto sighs, "i didn't know we'd be around for the 'someone tied him down' era."
"guys—" he tries to interrupt, but then you walk by. his world narrows, the party noise fading to a dull hum. as if on instinct, his eyes get dreamy, following your path. his world stops, along with time itself, and gojo freezes, completely captivated.
they follow his line of sight, their gazes landing onto where he's looking. no, staring.
if he wasn't caught so off guard by shoko's low whistle, a sharp, clear sound in the sudden quiet of his world, he would have had a second to figure out why you were even here. "damn," she laughs, a genuine, unburdened sound. "if you fumble her, i call dibs."
"...didn't expect that. how do you even know her?" geto asks, a note of surprise in his voice.
"uh, she's in humanities with us," he says, a little annoyed that his friend, who shared classes with you, hadn't noticed you. he can’t imagine that possibility, especially not when you’re all gojo can seem to notice.
shoko squints, like she's trying to recall a distant memory. "oh, yeah. i think i've seen her, sometimes. doesn't she ditch, like, a lot?"
gojo shrugs. "i guess."
"i'm with geto. i wouldn't have pegged that, but congrats."
"it's not like that! we're just…" he’s about to say friends, but the word feels foreign, ill-fitting. he’s not even sure if you're that.
"no, no," geto shakes his head, a knowing smirk on his face. "sex is always great, man."
"we're not—"
the brown-haired girl cuts him off, her attention already elsewhere. "speaking of sex, i think i'm gonna have a go," she murmurs, vaguely gesturing to a pretty, curvy redhead across the room. downing the rest of her drink in one gulp, she's off before either of them gets a word in.
and, because god is good, a group of people walk in through the front door, and geto, ever the host, goes to greet them; it is his party, after all.
gojo sighs, weary, the weight of his friends' teasing momentarily forgotten. then he remembers: you're here. he’s practically racing away from the spot he's in, a desperate, though he hopes nonchalant, attempt to find you. had he been hallucinating? was he so crazy about you that he was now seeing you everywhere? oh, god.
gojo doesn't get any further with his worries, because someone runs into his back.
oh. oh, wait. the familiar, faint scent of strawberry shampoo. he turns around, heart already beating faster, a frantic rhythm against his ribs, when he sees you.
"jesus, i'm sorry. i didn't even see you." you look up, your eyes meeting his, and your apologies vanish into thin air, replaced by a soft, surprised expression. "oh, my god, hi."
"hey," he says, his voice a little breathy, holding his breath as if he’s scared to move, worried you'll simply vanish like a mirage.
"isn't it crazy how we keep running into each other?" you giggle, a light, melodic sound, blowing a strand of hair out of your face.
"yeah, um, small world," gojo nods, straining a smile that feels more like a grimace. you give him a funny look, a slight tilt of your head, but thankfully leave it. "i didn't think this was really your scene?"
your shoulders slump, and you sigh, a familiar weariness in the sound. "it's not. my friend dragged me here, and then left to go have trashy sex with a trashy guy."
"oof," he winces, a sympathetic grimace. "that's alright. you can always stick with me, you know." the words tumble out, hopeful and a little desperate.
you put a hand on his arm, a feather-light touch that sends a jolt through him, sighing in relief. "once again, you're my savior. i'm stuck here until she's," you pause, a flicker of distaste on your face, "done."
"ah, well, if it's trashy sex with a trashy guy, it'll probably not be too long." he rubs the back of his head, a nervous habit. "i wouldn't mind if it isn't, though. i like talking to you," he admits, the confession coming out a little sheepish.
"oh," you say, your cheeks flushing so slightly he almost misses it. "thanks. i mean, me, too."
"yeah." there's a beat of comfortable silence between you two, the thumping of bass from downstairs filling the quiet space. "say, uh, wanna go upstairs?"
your eyes go a little wide, a startled deer caught in headlights, and gojo quickly backpedals. "to talk. it's— it's just loud, here."
you nod, a slow, deliberate movement, sighing in either relief or disappointment (he can't tell, but he desperately hopes it's the latter).
his fingers tentatively lace with yours, a hesitant connection, and he pulls you gently past bodies of people swaying to the music. he leads you into a less crowded room, a quieter haven, and shuts the door behind him. the muffled bass is a distant thrum now. "isn't this much nicer?"
"definitely, yeah." you take a seat on the edge of the bed, a quick, almost imperceptible glance around to ensure it's clean. "so… how's your day been?" it sounds awkward, a little stilted, and he's glad that he’s not the only one.
taking a seat beside you, a comfortable, close distance, he smiles, "good. very good. you?" he looks right into your eyes, letting the sincerity of his words reach you.
you return the smile, a soft, hesitant curve of your lips, debating whether or not to scoot closer. "s'okay. better, now."
"i know you don't like parties, but on that scale, how's this one been? be nice, i helped set it up," he warns, a playful glint in his eyes.
"it's good. i appreciate the lukewarm beer."
he holds his hands up, defensive. "see, i told geto to get more coolers. that part's not on me."
"okay, then, what part's on you?" you ask, crossing your arms, a hint of playful challenge in your tone.
"uh, i did the…" he frowns, trying to remember his own contributions to the party prep. "i taste-tested all the snacks. does that count?"
you snort, a small, endearing sound. "did you eat all of them, too? 'cause there weren't any left when i got here."
"i," a pause, a hint of guilt in his voice, "might have had a little more than i was supposed to, but those cookies were really good. so was the kikufuku."
"there was kikufuku?" you ask, raising an eyebrow.
"not anymore," he admits, a wry grin on his face. "that, i did finish."
laughing, a genuine, unforced sound, you tilt your head, "what parties have kikufuku?"
"the really, really cool ones."
"is that right?"
"would i ever lie to you?" his voice is teasing, but there's something else there, too.
"hm, maybe not," you hum, making a show of inspecting his features, your gaze lingering on his eyes. "you do have a really honest face."
"you have a really pretty one," he retorts, the words escaping before he can think better of them. it takes you a second to process, a faint blush dusting your cheeks. him, too, because… did he just say that? was that bad? he can't, for the love of god, read your face.
your mouth opens, a soft parting of your lips, but you're robbed of a chance to respond, because a couple barges into the room, their laughter loud and jarring. gojo flinches, startled. huffing, he says, "occupied!"
it's shoko and the redhead. shoko's eyes flit from you to gojo, a silent apology passing between them before she quickly steers the redhead back out of the room, shutting the door. god, out of all his friends,
he wouldn't have expected her to be the cock-block. well, at least someone's getting some.

୨୧ ⌞ act four: nepo-baby v. broke barista.⌝
the gentle chime of the bell above the door echoes through the quiet café, a familiar melody that always brings a sense of calm to satoru.
he pushes the door open, the scent of rich, freshly brewed coffee washing over him, a comforting aroma that instantly eases the tension he hadn’t realized he was carrying. he lets out a small, almost imperceptible sigh of contentment.
this, to him, is the best place to be.
his sunglasses, a constant fixture even indoors and in the dead of winter, are perched precariously on the bridge of his nose. he knows he probably looks a little eccentric, a touch out of place, but he doesn't care.
gojo’s soft, white hair, perpetually threatening to fall into his startling blue eyes, drifts gently across his forehead. with a practiced flick of his wrist, he rakes it back, the cool air a stark contrast to the warmth of the café.
he steps towards the counter, his fingers drumming a silent rhythm against the smooth, polished surface. his order was always the same, a creature of habit in a world that constantly shifts and changes around him, a small anchor of predictability.
“hi,” a soft voice says, breaking him out of his reverie. gojo’s eyes fix on the meticulously arranged cookies in the display case, and he’s caught between the choice of chocolate chip or macadamia nut.
chocolate, duh.
“hey, could i—” his gaze finally shifts up, and he locks eyes with the barista. but, because god really does have favorites, it’s not just any barista, it’s you.
he’s caught off-guard, seeing you, though he really shouldn’t be. not after having run into you unplanned this many times, already. it’s almost comical at this point.
“damn,” he shakes his head, a smile of disbelief slowly spreading across his face. “are you playing a trick on me?”
“god, no,” you laugh, a clear, bright sound. a few stray strands of hair escape from beneath the café’s branded hat, and you brush them out of your face with a practiced motion.
your smile is a little lopsided, charmingly imperfect, and he notices your apron is slightly askew, a testament to what must have been a busy morning.
“i come here all the time. don’t tell me i’ve been missing you… somehow, like, every single time,” he pouts, a playful whine in his voice.
“no, no. don’t worry, i’m new. i started yesterday. apparently, i’m more broke than i realized,” you confess, a wry smile touching your lips.
he nods in understanding, giving you a look of genuine sympathy. “yeah, i get it.”
“oh, do you, rich boy?” you tease, your gaze playfully raking over his expensive sunglasses, then his wrist to his watch, and finally the glint of a gold chain peeking from beneath his shirt. i
t’s not a secret that gojo is loaded, the son of gojo enterprises’ founder. he’s always gone out of his way to be humble about it, part of why he works so hard.
“yeah, yeah,” he waves you off, a dismissive flick of his hand. "speaking of, you gonna mess up my drink, newbie?"
"oh, haha. did you lose your stick? because i think i know where it went." you quip back.
gojo snorts, motioning to the register. “caramel macchiato, please. extra sugar.”
“aw, elitist baby can say please.” you pause, a faint wrinkle forming between your brows. “wait, did you say extra sugar?” you ask, making a face as you reach for a plastic cup and a sharpie. he nods, feeling his face flush under your intense, slightly disgusted gaze. “you know it’s already, like, super sweet, right?”
in return, he nods again, a little sheepish. gojo watches you scribble his name down on the side of the cup, your handwriting the same scrawl it always is. he shuffles to the end of the counter, waiting to receive his order.
your movements are a little clumsy, a novice’s hesitation in your hands, and you have to pause to remember the steps for making the drink. he even sees you gag, just a little, when adding the extra thing he’d gone out of his way to tell you.
“enjoy the, uh, macchiato.” you can't help the slight grimace as you push the cup across the counter. the smell alone was overwhelmingly sweet, amplified tenfold by the extra sugar he’d requested.
“you’re laughing. don’t knock it ‘til you try it,” he grins, a flash of white teeth against his pale skin, eyes crinkling at the corners.
“nah, i think i’ll be knocking,” you giggle, shaking your head, a slight shiver running through you. “but, if that’s what you like, you do you.”
there's a beat of silence, and gojo watches you attention momentarily shift to a spilled sugar packet near the display. "we really should start planning our run-ins," he chuckles, his fingers brushing yours for a fleeting moment as he grabs the cup.
"they wouldn't be run-ins, then," you correct, a sly lilt in your voice.
"i… wouldn't mind that." the words are soft, almost a murmur, but loaded with intent.
the universe has a weird way of pulling people together, doesn't it?
Tumblr media
୨୧ ⌞ act five: she loves me, she loves me not.⌝
gojo goes out of his way to plan this. he knows it's not a date, and he probably shouldn't pretend it is one. you had taken him up on his offer to hang out sometime, and he wanted it to be perfect.
you don't deserve anything less than that.
to anyone on the outside, he's sure it does look like a date. it feels like one, at least, if that counts. gojo picked you up, he dressed nice, you dressed nice, and he drove you to the park for a nice picnic. all of it sounds date-like, especially the part where he told you that you looked very cute today.
and, especially the part where he frantically back-pedaled, telling you; wait, you look cute today, but you look cute everyday. he doesn't just mean today.
and, especially, especially, how you'd teased him about it after. so, yeah, forgive him if he's having a hard time differentiating a platonic meetup and a not-so-platonic date.
gojo's picking off the petals on the daisy he's holding, hoping you don't notice how he's mentally playing she loves me, she loves me not. he glances at the small pile of discarded petals, then back at you, a soft smile playing on his lips.
you weave the stem of a flower into another, your brows furrowed in concentration on the crown you're making for him. "how long should i make this? you do have a really big head."
"hey, that's insulting. my head is perfectly normal-sized," he huffs, feigning offense, a playful smirk tugging at his lips. he leans closer, trying to get a better look at your handiwork. "are you sure you know what you're doing over there?"
"positive," you retort, not looking up. you wrap what you've got so far around his head, the cool petals a gentle press against his temple. "yep, definitely needs to be longer. see?"
"okay, rude." he pulls away slightly, inspecting the half-finished crown. "i'm starting to think you're just trying to wound my feelings."
you sigh, a dramatic, mournful sound. "truth hurts, right?" you glance up, your eyes locking with his, a gentle warmth in their depths. "this is really nice, by the way. i'm really glad we're doing this."
"me, too. feels a lot less rushed, compared to just seeing you around. not that i mind seeing you around," he quickly adds, the words tumbling out a little too fast, a faint blush creeping up his neck.
you smile, a soft, genuine curve of your lips. "yeah, i get it. you picked a nice spot. the gardens are so beautiful, i can't believe i've never been here before," you say, looking around at the vibrant roses beside you, your gaze lingering on their soft petals.
"you just wait, then, i've got a whole roster, baby." he means the pet-name as a joke, a casual endearment, but the sudden flicker in your gaze has his breath hitching, a silent question forming in his mind.
"you make me sound like your girlfriend," you laugh, the sound light and airy, a small puff of air escaping your lips.
"i bet you'd like that, huh?" he teases, pushing his luck, and you respond by playfully throwing a torn-off stem at him, which he easily dodges.
rolling your eyes at him, you scoff. "i just meant all this. you're really nice to me." your voice softens towards the end, a subtle shift in tone that he notices.
"well, yeah, we're," he hesitates, the word catching in his throat, "friends." sure, he's glad that you're even that, that you tolerate his presence, but it's still disappointing, only that.
"mm, friends," you repeat, the word echoing his own slight disappointment. he wonders if that's a similar ache he hears in the tone of your voice.
"what? you fallin' for me?" he asks, playing it off as a joke, a lighthearted jab, but, god, he wishes. he so, so desperately prays that a tiny part of it is true.
"oh, shut up," you huff, but the warmth on your cheeks contradicts your words, a tell-tale flush that brings a hopeful flutter to his chest.
he tilts his head at you, intently studying the familiar sparkle in your eyes, the way they crinkle slightly at the corners when you're amused.
taking one of the remaining daisies, he gently tucks it behind your ear, his fingers brushing against the soft skin of your neck. "you should call me satoru."
"yeah? okay, then, shut up, satoru." the corners of your mouth quirk upwards, a small, knowing smile.
he plucks off the last petal. she loves me.
Tumblr media
୨୧ ⌞ act six: stay, little valentine, stay.⌝
"i hate valentine's day, you know," you frown, slumping down in the bakery's chair. the place smells sweet, a comforting blend of buttered croissants and something faintly fruity, like berries.
"of course you would. you're single," he remarks, casually, playing with the crinkly wrapping paper of his straw.
"you're single, too, gojo."
he points a finger at you, raising his perfectly sculpted eyebrows. "yeah, but that's different. i'm at peace with it."
shoving his index finger away, you whine, "what, like you aren't sick of seeing love-sick couples sucking each other's faces off, all day?"
well, he won't admit it (to you, at least), but he's mostly just been imagining what it would be like if those love-sick couples were you two.
before he can come up with a lame excuse, an employee, a young guy with a chipped name-tag stops by, checking in to see if you need anything else. "just letting you know, it's all half-off for couples today," they say, their tone far too cheery for your liking.
you say, "oh, no, we're not—" at the exact same time gojo says, "sure. another blueberry muffin, please. two, actually."
"are you crazy?" you whisper harshly at him, leaning across the table, your eyes wide with disbelief. "we're not even a couple." unbothered, he shoves your face away, a playful flick of his wrist.
instead, he smiles brightly at mark, and audaciously winks at you. "a couple of those strawberry tarts, too. my girlfriend here has a real sweet tooth."
your voice is strained, a desperate attempt to salvage the situation. "he's exaggerating. just the muffins, please."
with a click of their pen, they're telling you that you're an adorable couple, then walking off, already distracted by another customer.
"see? adorable. i'm already winning 'em over." gojo leans back in his chair, a smug look on his face.
you shoot him a look, a mix of exasperation and reluctant amusement. "winning who over? the employee? or me, into wanting those things? besides, i didn't even need any."
"first, who said it was for you?" he retorts, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "second, it's half-off. it'd be a shame if we didn't take advantage of it."
"right," you laugh, shaking your head. he might be going crazy, but he's really fond of the idea that at least one person thinks you're dating. and, sure, that doesn't make it real, but it's a step closer.
"you know," he says, taking a sip of his smoothie (your smoothie, he stole it from you and you said nothing, which he considers a victory), "i think we'd make a good couple."
"oh? what makes you so sure?" you challenge, raising an eyebrow.
"think about it. i'm the brains, you're the… well, you're pretty good at complaining. we balance each other out," gojo claims, with a confidence that has you kicking his shin from under the table.
"ow! seriously?" he yelps, rubbing his leg.
"oh, is that your sales pitch? my top quality is complaining? how charming." you deadpan, crossing your arms.
"it's a very enthusiastic quality. plus, you'd never have to open jars again. or reach for things on high shelves. i'm basically a human step-stool with great hair." he gestures to his impeccably styled white locks.
"so, your criteria for a good relationship is purely utilitarian? i'm good for complaining and you're good for opening jars?"
"and looking good. don't forget that. i'm the eye candy. every couple needs eye candy. you can be good at appreciating my eye candy."
you fight the urge to stick a fork in his eyes. "right, because all i do is sit around and appreciate your god-given good looks."
"besides," he continues, ignoring your sarcasm, "that guy bought it. means we look pretty couple-y, right?"
you stare at him, a flat, unimpressed look on your face. "or, it means he's being paid minimum wage, and couldn't care less."
"you would know, broke ass." another swift kick, and he hisses, pouting exaggeratedly.
"excuse me?" you huff. "minimum wage or not, that man is doing his job. unlike you, who's just freeloading off my good reputation."
he nods, as if he's genuinely considering this profound statement. "good reputation? for hating valentine's day? that's quite the legacy."
defensively, you sit up straighter. "it's a very respectable stance! and i'm not broke. i just appreciate a good discount. like you, apparently, considering you just scammed a bakery employee into thinking we're an item."
he choose not to address you, taking a moment to meticulously tear the paper of the straw in half. "on the other hand," gojo says, eyes fixed on his paper dissection, "if you weren't single, you'd be far less grouchy all the time."
"you already said that," you huff, deadpan.
"it still holds true," he nods, finally looking up, a serious expression on his face.
snorting, you tilt your head up, looking at the cracks in the ceiling. "so… you're suggesting i need to get a boyfriend? are you also suggesting the boyfriend is… you? just to not be grouchy? okay, well, what if i prefer to be grouchy? what if that's, like, my thing?"
"not necessarily." he almost says yes, but catches himself. "but you should know, i'd make a gas boyfriend," he insists, puffing out his chest playfully.
"good to know," you hum, snatching your drink back. when you take a sip from exactly where he did, his heart does a little flip in his chest, a secret, happy flutter.
gojo clicks his tongue. "and, also, impossible. no one prefers to be grouchy. you're just… unfulfilled. a boyfriend would bring joy, sunshine, spontaneous acts of adoration. less frowning, more smiling."
"these are high standards to hold to yourself. or, like, this hypothetical boyfriend. also, i like the grouch. i think it's kind of like my core trait." you tap your chest, a definitive statement.
"that is such a sad, sad trait to base yourself off."
"oh, please," you scoff, rolling your eyes. "like the rich daddy's boy thing you have going on is any better."
he holds his hands up, defensive, but a grin splits his face. "well, one of us is paying for lunch, and the other isn't. you know, because she's broke." mildly offended, you kick him. again.
"hey! quit doing that. anyways, my point is, i've got all day to change your mind about valentine's."
"all day? what if i'm busy?" you challenge, a playful glint in your eye.
"nah. you wouldn't be here with me, if you had plans." he says it with absolute certainty.
he doesn't know it yet, but, yeah, even if you did have plans, you'd still ditch them for him.
Tumblr media
୨୧ ⌞ act seven: strawberries and cigarettes always taste like you.⌝
gojo's phone died a little while back, and he has no idea what time it is. it doesn't really matter, though, not when he's walking in the dim-lit street with you, not when it feels like this moment will last forever.
he pulls you behind that same, tattered, gray building, the gas station he saw you at just a couple months ago. it looks the same, save for the dumpster that's against the bushes instead of the wall.
"oh, shit," he laughs, the sound a little breathless. "it smells rank back here."
you plop down on the familiar concrete ledge, scrunching your nose in agreement. "don't even start, you're the one who dragged me here. for your stupid matcha cravings."
pulling him down next to you, his shoulder bumps against yours. "wait, wait," you murmur, pulling a pack of cigarettes out of your pocket. holding a flame to the end, you cup your hand to keep the tiny light from going out in the faint breeze.
there's an odd feeling that passes through him, not quite nostalgia, when he sees that identical stain of strawberry-colored gloss on the end your lips are over.
"remember the last time i tried to smoke one?" he asks, a small, knowing grin on his face.
"yeah," you giggle, your shoulders shaking slightly as the smoke hits your lungs. "you almost died."
he's a little flustered, denying it immediately. "i did not almost die."
"close enough, you started choking and everything. wanna try again?" you ask, holding it near him, the lit tip glowing orange in the dim light. he eyes it, then looks back at you, a challenge in his gaze.
"damn, you tryna kill me?" he teases, but his voice is softer than he intends.
you lean closer, a pretty smile on your face that makes his voice catch. "would i get your money, if i did?"
his lips part, a hesitant breath escaping him, and you slip the cigarette between them. he can faintly smell the sweetness of the red. it's barely there, a ghost of a scent, but it's enough.
"relax," you hum, your voice a low, soothing sound. "you don't need to be so tense, it's just me."
but that's the thing — it's just you. just you and him, here again, alone in the quiet hum of the night. you're so close, invading all of his senses, leaving him breathless. how is he even supposed to think straight?
he, hesitant, inhales the smoke. he lasts hardly any longer than last time, turning away and breaking into a coughing fit, his shoulders shaking with the effort.
"oh, my god," you wheeze, patting his back, a mixture of concern and amusement in your touch. "careful. you're not supposed to suck in that much. just a puff, sato." the nickname, soft and intimate, has him blushing, and he has to duck his head, hiding his flushed face.
"one more time, or are you tapped out?" you ask, your voice still laced with laughter.
"one more," he breathes, tilting his head up to take in a smaller stroke. it's easier this time, irritates his throat less. he has to clear his chest, a low rumble, but he doesn't start writhing on the floor, so it's a win.
"oh, look! you did it," you smile, your eyes sparkling, and you gently pat his cheek. he wants to respond, but all he can manage is to lean into your touch. you don't move your hand, but stay cupping his face instead, your thumb stroking his cheekbone.
"hey, pretty," he whispers, his voice thick, feeling his breath mingle with yours in the cool night air.
you scoot closer, virtually pressed flush against him, and the sudden warmth of your body sends a jolt through him. "hi." his heart is beating loudly against his ribcage, a frantic drum, and he's afraid you can hear it.
gojo watches your eyes glaze over, a hazy, soft look, and how your long lashes flutter against your skin. you clutch his shirt, your fingers digging into the fabric, and your noses brush against his. and in a moment of a burst of raw courage, he presses his lips against yours.
it's not patient, but it's still loving, desperate in its urgency. it's clumsy, rather, messy, because both of you have been waiting too long for this to happen. your teeth clash against his, a soft click, as your lips, almost silkenly soft, move against his.
he tastes the faint sweetness of strawberries, a hint of something smoky and intoxicating. his hand, warm and firm, cups the back of your head, his fingers tangling in your hair, pulling you closer, deepening the kiss.
the other hand fixes on your waist, keeping you there, pressed flush against him, as if he fears you might disappear.
it's awkward at first, tentative, because he's all too focused on the frantic butterflies that loop through his stomach, a dizzying swarm. it's like he's never kissed another person before, like he's forgotten how to. it was like his first one. his right one.
when he pulls away, you're panting little breaths, needing air, foreheads pressed together, your eyes still hazy. gojo presses another gentle kiss to the top of your hair, his nose nuzzled there, inhaling your scent.
you taste like strawberries and cigarettes.

━━ ❝ the way of the househusband ❞
Tumblr media Tumblr media
☾₊‧⁺...cw : househusband!fushiguro toji x fem!reader, you are megumi's mom, flirting, playful banter, just overall silly and cute domestic life
☾₊‧⁺...lunar's note : just some simple lil toji hcs of him as a househusband! i need some sweet stuff of him without a lot of sexual stuff in it bc let's be real, in a domestic setting he's probably just a big clingy and mildly annoying bear husband
Tumblr media
f. toji is never going to complain about being the one staying home, watching over the little gremlin that is megumi. he's got his own ways of bringing in money with that friend of his, shiu, but he's more than content to being the one in the frilly pink apron, cooking for you and the lil' man.
toji didn’t ever expect to get married, especially after how he was treated as a zenin. he didn't know much about love or how to connect with people, let alone you. but when you handed his ass to him with no struggle and a pretty smile on your face at the gym, he knew he wanted you. two years later and a shit load of aggressive flirting, toji ends up with you as his spouse and he wouldn't have it any other way.
so imagine toji's surprise when he's genuinely excited when you tell him your pregnant. he's excited but scared. him? a father? there's no way in hell he has any idea what to do, his own father was nothing but a piece of shit...so what if he turns out like him? but the moment you pop that big headed little fucker out of you, toji can't help but grin, that excitement of being a father and creating memories with this tiny little thing erasing all his fears.
whenever you come home from work, toji's usually in the living room with little megumi, who forced him to take part in the exercise part of his favorite kids show. you don't know how megumi, your one year old baby who still talked in little babbles, forced his massive giant of a father who could kill a man with a look to do 'exercise for baby,' but you know better than to question it when you see the two touching their toes in front of the tv.
sometimes, he's in the kitchen, however, wearing that 'kiss the cook' apron you got for his birthday. toji always wraps an arm around your waist and pulls you into a kiss, muttering a 'welcome home’ against your lips before poking your side and going back to what he was doing, proud grin on his face at the little screech he gets from you.
he's started to get better at dodging your hands when you go to poke him back, skirting around the table before going to scoop megumi up. “you would never do such an act in front of 'gumi, would you? what if he starts going around poking girls in their sides, hm? then i'll have to explain to his teacher that his mama can't keep 'er hands to herself.”
toji's got you there...so you back off, opting to press a kiss to babygumi’s little forehead, taking him from your husband’s arms when he makes grabby hands at you. you savor the betrayed look on toji's face, sticking your tongue out at him. he scoffs, rolling his eyes before going back to make sure dinner wasn’t burnt. he’ll get you back for stealing his son from him.
despite what people might think, there’s not really a 'dominant' person in the relationship. when together, the two of you give off some of the most intimidating vibes because of the sheer power the both of you carry. it's not even put off by little megumi, because if he notices his parents looking at you in disgust, he's gonna give you one that's even worse.
toji will never forget the day the three of you went to the grocery store, him in his usual black t-shirt and grey sweatpants, you in one of those same shirts and leggings with megumi in the kiddie seat in the shopping cart, eating from the little snack pack toji made for him. toji swears he walked away for three fucking seconds, and he came back to some...fucker getting ready to chat you up. it’s no surprise anyone that he gets pissed, ready to storm over there and make it clear you're taken.
however, it's clear you don't need him to step in, and damn, you look...really hot telling this dude off, angrily flashing your ring when he wouldn't back off. god, he wishes he could marry you again. toji doesn’t even know what you told the guy, and he's tempted to playfully ask megumi what happened, knowing his lil' man would try to respond in babbles and coos.
“he said you crawled out from the trash, toj, i can't stand for that! he could’ve done you some justice and said you crawled out of the deepest pits of hell, so I had to educate him on that. besides, he called you my boyfriend and I almost punched his face.”  “yeah? hm, i’m glad you didn’t, babe, we don’t want to get kicked out the store.”  “i don’t know, i think an imprint of my ring in his forehead would get the message across.”  “well, next time, how about we just kiss like we haven't seen each other in 15 years? not a fan of showing out to some dude, but i'd do it for you, sweetheart.”  “mmn!”  “right, lil' man? mama's so mean t' me, it's a good idea.”  “gumiiii, you're supposed to be on my side!”
occassionally, when you're at work, toji'll just talk to megumi, the little one nice and comfy on his chest.
one habit he'll never get out of is randomly calling you throughout the day when he's particularly bored and missing you. if you don't answer, toji will just leave you a message, usually about how badly he wants you to come home, groaning about how tired he is but he can't sleep without you in his arms, without you playing with his hair until he falls asleep. he's so in love with you, it's almost makes you dizzy.
you'll never forget the day you come home to toji and baby megumi in the front yard, crouched down around...something. parking in the driveway, you make your way over and see what they're looking at. it's...a kitten and a puppy, two tiny little things playfighting with each other. neither one of them say anything, just looking at the two creatures. you sigh, knowing exactly what this means.
"...give them appropriate names and make vet appointments. we aren't naming the dog 'hot dog' and we aren't naming the cat 'kitten'." "i told you it would work, lil' man."

time flies...
when captain jenna assigns you to infiltrate an intel hub disguised as a jazz club in the N109 zone, you make one simple request to the universe: don’t let me run into my ex. that prayer goes unanswered. but others? you might just get lucky.
pairing: exbf!sylus x female reader warnings: MDNI, explicit sexual content, porn w plot, porn w feelings, exes w unresolved tension, possessive behavior / mild jealousy, loooots of banter, thigh rubbing build up, dirty talk, like filthy, bratty!mc, sylus wants you so bad, walk him like a dog sis, oral (m & f), eating from the back, fingering, unprotected sex, rough sex, mating press, cumming inside a/n: wrote this with one hand!!!!! i need this man so bad!!!!!!!! wc: 5.9k
Tumblr media
"....located in the N109 zone. any questions?"
and then she shot you. captain jenna—your fierce and until approximately five seconds ago, loyally trusted commander—had just fired her pistol at you within point-blank range.
you swallowed the bullet lodged in your throat before responding, reaching deep within yourself to appear as neutral as possible.
"no, captain!"
damn it all. of course your previous experience in the N109 zone would put you at the top of the list for this mission. unknown to your captain though, you'd rather chew on knives than risk a chance encounter with your ex boyfriend.
but since the intel she's assigned you to look into involves a new strain of protocore tech that mimics wanderer signatures, making it nearly undetectable and dangerous for all factions, it was high priority. and unfortunately for you, the same thought was likely running through his mind.
it'd been months since your messy breakup, months since you've spoken to each other. he wouldn't dare try anything again, especially in a compromised place like a covert jazz club.
when it came to sylus, however, you knew better.
you run through the briefing details once more in your head. this intel hub operates like most others in the N109 zone: secretive and precise. a surefire way to get yourself killed in places like these is by looking confused or unsure.
your orders are to tell the bouncer you're searching for a man wearing green inside, the color being code for the information category. according to association intel, green signifies everything related to protocores. once inside, you're to head to the bar and order an emerald isle, the contents being a gin and mint martini. the mint serving as a tip-off that you're looking for fresh, new information.
from there, you're basically on your own. the guise of a jazz club is intentional, patrons are to fraternize with their drinks visible in hand, searching for people with similar colored ones. once you find someone, you relay what drink you ordered, and if they have information on such a topic, they'll take a sip from your drink.
the catch? no refills allowed. if the person has irrelevant information, you've wasted part of your opportunity.
you saunter up to the entrance of the club, your black maxi dress shaping your body perfectly and almost causing you to disappear into the low lighting, exactly as planned. if the situation were to get threatening, your dress wouldn't be a risk.
however, this mission required you to look enticing while eyes were on you. the low, fishtail back and thin straps were sure to prompt onlookers to approach you and chat. you'd keep them in line, if not with words then with your loaded gun strapped firmly to your thigh.
you smile sweetly at the bouncer, saying everything required and getting inside without breaking a sweat. the club is busy, but not overwhelmingly so. you do a full room scan and mentally note that there are around 8 people with green drinks in hand—all at different levels of fullness. after you order the emerald isle, you make your way to the floor.
time to hunt.
the moment you walked in, sylus choked on his drink.
of course you'd be the one sent here. of course the same woman who hadn’t so much as looked at him in months would stroll back into his life with a drink coded for protocore intel.
the very thing that blew everything apart.
you hadn’t changed a bit. still walked like you owned the room. still wore danger like perfume. and those straps clinging to your body? a challenge written in silk. that dress wasn’t for him, he knew that, but he couldn’t help but wonder if some part of you knew he’d be here. if some part of you wanted him to look.
hell, he was looking. couldn’t stop, actually.
he leaned back in his seat on the second-floor balcony, his eyes locked on your every move through the dim haze and low lights. moments ago, he’d been halfway through a trade with the scrawny male seated across from him. but now, the man might as well be invisible. sylus couldn’t care less about anything that didn’t involve looking at you.
he watched you flash that fake, pretty smile—the one you wore while you were on missions. no one else would know the difference. but he did.
when he saw the color of your drink, he almost laughed. no doubt you were here for information surrounding the new wanderer mimicking tech. the irony twisted like a blade between his ribs.
you hated him for hiding his connections to protocore manufacturing. said it was betrayal. said you couldn't trust someone who kept secrets like that. but you never saw the full picture. he was protecting you from yourself.
you didn’t understand, maybe you still don't, but he hadn’t been lying to hurt you. he knew what getting you involved would cost. he knew you, and the second you found out the truth about what exactly onychinus was sponsoring, it'd drag you into the depths of the mystery surrounding your aether core. he knew you wouldn't be able to stop pursuing it all, no matter what it did to you.
and now, here you were. wading waist-deep into the same fire he lost you to.
sylus clenched his jaw, his fingers tightening around his glass. he should look away. should let you do what you came here to do.
but then some lowlife in a tacky rust-colored suit slithered up to you, requesting a dance. he was too close. acted too familiar. sylus watched your smile shift into something tight and forced. the kind you used when you were baiting someone.
no.
he wasn’t going to just sit back. not when you were back in his orbit, whether you meant to be or not. and not when he still wanted you just as badly as the day you walked away.
this had to be some sort of punishment. you must’ve pissed off the universe in a past life to end up pressed against a man wearing the ugliest rust-colored suit known to mankind. he smelled like sweat masked with cheap cologne. every inch of him screamed sleaze. yet, here you were, letting him touch you. because, of course, the filthiest bastard in the room had the most valuable intel so far. and with your drink nearly empty, you couldn’t afford to cut the dance short.
his grimy left hand rested on your waist—drifting lower with each passing second—while his other clung to his green drink like he planned to propose to it before the night was over.
"...only sold to the 1%, then trickling downwards to whoever can afford those prices. say darling, you oughta come home with me tonight. there's a lot more i can tell ya, you know, in private." his voice dripped like oil, and as he leaned in to whisper the last part, his fingers slid beneath the open hem of your back.
you resisted the overwhelming urge to pull out your pistol and really show him something private.
instead, you forced a breath and put on a tight smile. a smile that was nowhere near reaching your eyes, barely a curl on your lips. then you steered him back to the reason you were even still breathing the same air. “who are they buying from? is there no logo? no trace of manufacturing?”
“not a thing,” he said, grinning like he thought he was clever. “but I did hear some old abandoned buildings around the N109 zone have been lighting up lately. enough space to test high risk tech in those.”
you could barely hold back your eye roll. the way he spoke, like you owed him something just for opening his mouth, grated on every nerve in your body. and he looked at you like he planned to collect on that imagined debt in full.
“where’s the closest one?” your tone had a sharp edge now. his fingers kept wandering, and your patience was running thin. you needed this conversation over. and this man dead.
"hmm? not far from here. i'd say about—”
he didn’t get to finish.
a tall figure stepped between you and the creep, sliding a hand onto your waist in place of the one you'd been seconds from snapping in half. you didn’t need to look. didn’t need to double check.
you could recognize sylus by touch alone.
“mind if I cut in?” he said smoothly, his voice low and razor-sharp. “this man appears to be more thirsty than classy.”
you sighed. worst timing possible.
"no, thank you. that’s the idea,” you replied coolly, but it didn’t matter.
sylus had already made his move. the shorter man stumbled back, face ghost-white, mumbling something that sounded like an apology—or maybe a prayer—before scurrying off as if sylus had just rearranged his face with a look alone.
then, he turned to you.
he didn’t speak at first, only stared. like he couldn’t breathe, like he couldn’t believe you were real. his gaze swept over you, slow and starving, as if he were trying to memorize every inch before you vanished again. not a trace of a smirk, just a man who’d been sucker punched by the sight of you.
but eventually, sylus flipped the mental switch. he stepped closer, hand outstretched, voice as smooth as sin, "this place was dangerous before you walked in. now, it doesn’t stand a chance.”
you stared at him, unblinking, letting the silence hang just long enough to make your point. the theatrics didn’t impress you, but the corner of your mouth twitched anyway, a reflex you hated. with another sigh you stepped forward, your hand sliding into his like muscle memory.
before you could get a word in, sylus reached for the drink still in your hand. his fingers brushed yours, unhurried and deliberate, as he took it from you without asking to silently relieve the burden.
his other hand found your waist and you let yours rest on his shoulders, the familiar feel of him under your fingertips sending a shiver through you.
it was dangerous how easy it was. how quickly your steps matched the rhythm. how naturally your body leaned into his, like the time apart had never happened. the jazz music swelled around you and you both moved with it like something practiced in another life.
then his mouth was near your ear, voice dipping low as the air between you tightened. “careful. you dance like someone who remembers exactly how I feel.”
“i dance like someone who can’t wait for this song to end," you shot back, your tone sharp enough to cut.
"no," he said, like he knew something you didn't. "you dance like someone pretending the space between us isn't pulling you in.”
a tense beat passed.
"poetic. a bit too drab for my taste, unfortunately."
“you used to like the way I spoke when it was your name in my mouth.” his voice danced down your spine like a dirty promise, hot enough to make your stomach twist.
you hated it. hated that he still had this hold on you. that months later, you still reacted.
you bit back, voice steady and full of edge. “and you used to listen when I said no.”
“you never said no when it was just the two of us.”
his tone was so unbothered, so undeniably sylus. you hated how your chest ached at that. you'd buried that version of you with him a long time ago. or at least you thought you had.
you glared at him, trying to telepathically communicate how badly you wanted him to burn.
the song then faded into a slower, darker tune. like even the music knew how deadly this was becoming.
you stepped back, but only a hair. not enough to give him the satisfaction. just enough to remind yourself you still could.
his gaze followed the retreat like it hurt him to let you go. “how did you find out about this hub? did you come alone?”
you didn’t answer. instead, you turned from him. a clean, intentional break. you were done letting him circle you like he still had the right.
but his fingers caught your wrist before you could fully disappear from him again, placing your hand back on his shoulder.
“an emerald isle,” he murmured. “what intel are you here for?”
you looked him dead in the eyes, annoyance painting your features. “sooo many questions. do you always get this chatty when you're trying not to look desperate?"
god, he missed you. missed when you got like this with him. he loved nothing more than when you challenged him, rough and biting.
“just concerned, sweetie. especially if what you know brought you here…" his smile curled as he spoke. "…looking like this.”
“that's too bad. you don’t get to play protective anymore. that role expired." your voice came out flat and cold, like you had rehearsed the indifference.
“mmm. but it seems your feelings for me haven’t, kitten.”
“funny. i don’t remember ever admitting I had them.”
“no? then why are your thighs tensing like they remember everything?”
your breath hitched. not loud, but enough to make you furious with yourself. heat flushed up your throat, mortification and memory colliding in the worst possible way. you hated that he noticed. hated more that he was right. that your body reacted before your mind could catch up.
you didn’t let the silence stretch. couldn’t let it stretch.
"you're in my way."
sylus tilted his head, the smirk on his lips making your blood boil. “and you’re in my thoughts. every day. every night. doesn’t feel fair, does it?”
“what’s not fair is how your ego somehow survived our breakup.”  you spoke through gritted teeth, still recovering from his last blow.
“you don’t have to say it," he was grinning now—the bastard. "i can feel it.”
“what, your neediness?”  you practically spit back, the tension between you thick enough to choke on.
“yours, actually. you’re shaking, kitten."
“it’s rage.”
“mmm. is that what we’re calling want these days?”
before you could fire off something scathing, sylus wrapped his fingers around your wrist again and this time he pulls. not hard, just enough to close the last of the distance. chest brushing chest, breath mingling in the small space in between your lips.
“you think I don’t know that look in your eyes? that tilt in your hips when you dance near me? you want distance, yet your body keeps inching closer," his voice was low, fever laced into every syllable. "what am I to believe?”
“i'm working, sylus. this—” you gestured between your bodies, the closeness, the feelings, all of it. “—can’t happen again."
his smirk fades, but not into hurt. into hunger. “then tell me to stop.”
you don't.
his fingers trace the underside of your jaw, measured and daring.
“say it." he murmurs. "say stop.”
but you don't. you can’t. your lips part, but not for protest. then—
“is there a problem here?” a voice cuts through from behind, snapping the spell. a man steps between you and sylus, eyes flickering between your faces. “doesn’t look like you want to be with him, sweetheart. just say the word.”
“step back,” sylus says before you can even breathe, his tone icy. possessive. “you’re in her space. that’s the problem.”
the man falters, visibly unsettled by the sharp gleam of red in sylus’ eye. “i’m sure she’d prefer someone who doesn’t drag her around the dance floor.”
sylus smirks at him, deadly calm. “she’s exactly where she wants to be.”
it seems the man recognizes onychinus' leader, because that’s all it takes. the man backs off without another word.
you let the silence settle, pulse still fluttering from both the interruption and everything before it.
“jealousy doesn’t suit you,” you tease, turning your head just enough to draw his eyes back to your mouth.
“neither does watching you pretend you don’t miss me,” he shoots back, matching your quip as he always excelled at doing.
“i don’t.”
he smirks. “liar.
your voice sharpens. “we’re broken up, sylus. don’t you recall?”
his gaze doesn’t waver. “i remember everything. your laugh. your skin. the way you used to—”
“don’t,” you cut in, voice like a blade. “you don’t get to say those things anymore.”
he leans in anyway, close enough that you can taste the desire radiating off him.
“then stop looking at me like that.”
“like what?” you hiss.
his mouth curved with mischief and warning. “like you want me to follow you upstairs.”
you blinked, heart slamming so hard it hurt. and for one breath, you let yourself feel it, all the pain he left behind.
then you swallowed it whole, and drowned in him.
as you both slipped out of sight from the crowded dance floor, sylus tugged you closer, kissing you like he’d been starved. your bodies stumbled up the stairs, hands tangled and desperate, a hunger between you that neither could deny. he pressed you against the wall at the top of the stairs, his lips trailing down your neck, each kiss an act of claiming. you felt his eagerness press against you and your head swirled deliciously.
“i can feel how badly you want me,” you taunt, chest rising as you fight for composure. “want me so bad you’d drop to your knees if I told you to, wouldn’t you?”
"you could make me beg for you. and more." he pressed into you, harder now. his body solid against yours as the air became thick with want. “but we both know you want to be the one on your knees."
you pull off him with a smirk of your own, opening the closest door and leading him inside. “you think you’re the only one who knows how to play this game?”
once you both stepped into the room, you shove sylus back onto the bed. his handsome face tipped up at you from where he landed, eyes cocky and smug despite being beneath you.
"i’m the one who taught you how to play, sweetie.”
you lock the door behind you with a click, leaving him on the bed to watch every calculated move you made.
you turn to face him. your steps unhurried, hips swaying like a predator with a plan. his gaze devours you as you reach the center of the room and spin your back to him.
the low hem of your dress dips scandalously, held up only by two delicate straps. you slide one down, then the other. the fabric sinks down your body, every inch a show for the man breathing heavier by the second.
the fabric hits the floor and you step out of it and cross the room. sylus sits on the edge of the bed, legs spread like he's trying not to burst at the sight of you.
you drop to your knees before him, fingers ghosting up his thighs.
you undo his belt like it’s second nature, because it is, but this time there's no soft glances or whispered promises. only tension, sweat, and the sharp edge of something darker.
you shift him out of his underwear and he's already leaking, throbbing for you. you pull him out slow, eyes locked on his like a dare. despite taking him plenty of times before, his huge length still intimidated you. and made your mouth water.
then, with his hard cock still in your hands, you tilt your head back and loll your tongue out with a dirty smile.
“fuck,” he breathes, before leaning forward and spitting directly into your open mouth.
you swirl it around with your tongue, exaggerated and filthy, before letting it drip from your lips straight onto the tip of his cock. you stroke him with it, twisting your wrist just right, watching him twitch and strain in your grasp as you spread the mess down him.
sylus manages a breathless smirk. “has our time apart made you dirtier?” his voice is wrecked. “or have you missed me this much?”
you drag your tongue up his length, lingering on his sensitive vein, then pull back with a wet pop. the action drives him wild, and he has to bite his lip to stop himself from groaning.
your eyes gleam with something wicked. “you’re so much more attractive when you’re moaning for me instead of talking.”
your lips part again, this time to take him in painfully slow. you twirl your tongue around his tip, the taste so familiar it makes your eyes roll back. the mix of fluids slick his cock all the way down to the base, your lips shiny and swollen around him.
then you sink lower and he can’t stop staring. can’t stop twitching in your mouth like he’s about to blow from just the sound of your gag. his hips jerk when the tip hits the back of your throat, and you pull off again with a sinful smirk.
“you always get so twitchy when i barely touch you,” you purr, stroking him with lazy precision. “what happened to that control you're so proud of?”
his jaw tightens at your jab, hands gripping the edge of the bed so hard his knuckles go white. while he did enjoy you challenging him, you were working his last nerve.
you lean in once more, smiling with satisfaction at his reaction. your movement light on his aching cock, suckling and teasing, never committing. your hands move unhurried, your mouth even slower, and his whole body is trembling from restraint.
sylus lets out a low, ruined growl. “keep teasing me and you'll regret it, kitten.”
“is that a threat or a promise?” you whisper, licking along the underside of his shaft. “because it sounds a lot like begging to me.”
his hands tremor like he wants to grab you, but you stay in control. for now.
you now take him with vigor, enough to make him moan, then stop. again. and again. always just a little more, never enough. he's throbbing in your grip, leaking like he could cum from this alone.
“fuck,” he mutters. “you’re gonna drive me insane.”
you pout with faux innocence. “what, this?” you give him a long, slow lick, eyes full of mockery. “close already?”
and then he snaps.
in a blur of motion, sylus grabs you by the hair, pulls you up, and throws you onto the bed, flat on your back.
you barely have time to gasp before he's on you, all passion and vengeance. he slides between your thighs, yanking your panties off like they personally committed your aggravating acts.
“you wanna tease?” he snarls, breath hot against your inner thigh. “then fucking take it.”
his mouth hovers just above your dripping cunt, teasing you now. his turn to play. he breathes against your folds, lips barely brushing, just enough to make you whimper.
“what’s wrong, sweetie?” he taunts, voice thick with revenge and lust. “thought you liked going slow.”
you reach down and twist your fingers in his hair, yanking his face into you with a growl of your own.
“eat. or i will ride your face and make you regret waiting.”
sylus keens at your words, tongue diving in like a man starved. he loved when you got rough with him, turning him on like no other.
you moan right back at the feeling of him, legs already starting to shake. there's no more teasing in his movements, he’s messy, frantic, seemingly obsessed. his mouth is somehow everywhere at once, like he’s trying to drown in your taste.
you writhe under him, losing every ounce of control you once held. and he doesn’t stop. not even when your thighs close around his head. not even when you scream his name.
there’s no finesse, just open mouthed hunger, his tongue and lips on a mission to touch every part of you. then he adds two fingers, slipping in deep and curling them just right, hitting that spot you never could on your own. you gush around them, soaking his hand, and he groans like the mess is a gift.
you clutch the sheets below you, the sensation too much and not enough. every time his nose nudges your clit, every hit of his perfectly angled fingers, your body jolts. the bed creaks below you as he pushes you closer and closer to that high you've been chasing for months. but nothing, nothing, ever touched you like this.
your orgasm starts barreling toward you and right when you're on the cusp of mind numbing pleasure—
he slows down.
right as your toes curl and your thighs tense, he pulls back. you whine, strung out and soaked.
you’re about to beg when you notice the bed is still shaking. not just from you.
sylus is grinding against the mattress. hard and desperate.
you let out a breathless, evil little laugh. “you’re humping the bed? i’m the one getting eaten alive, and you’re the one falling apart?”
you should’ve stopped there. you really should’ve.
but you smirk, lift your hips so you can meet his eyes, and whisper, “what, couldn’t wait your turn?”
his face changes at that, deep and pissed, then he grabs your hips and flips you onto all fours like you weigh nothing.
“should’ve filled your throat with cum to shut that mouth,” he hisses into your ear.
before you can reply, his hands are spreading you open and his mouth is back on you. from behind.
his tongue laps at your entrance, filthy and unrelenting, while his fingers sneak down to bully your clit in ruthless circles. your arms give out at the same time as your legs begin to buckle, but he doesn’t let you fall. one strong arm wraps around your waist whilst the other pleasures you without mercy.
you greedily grind your ass into his face and he groans at the action like he wants to live between your thighs. you clench around his tongue, fluids mixing together, and the mess just spurs you on further. spurs him on further. the building liquids slide down your legs, coating his face and all he wants is more.
you’re about to fall apart all over again when he pulls away in one fluid motion.
your body collapses onto the bed, shaking from the sudden change. you roll onto your back, dazed and desperate.
sylus wipes his mouth on the back of his hand, not even trying to be subtle, and spreads your legs wide. his eyes drink in the sight, as if your glistening pussy was some divine offering.
you pout, fingers drifting toward your clit, desperate to finish what he stole. but sylus grabs your wrist, pins it above your head, and lines himself up with you. his neglected cock dripping with precum as he slides it between your folds.
you bite your lip at how heavy and huge he is. the head alone makes your thighs tremble.
then he leans down, mouth right against your ear.
“you’re not cumming,” he murmurs, slow and cruel, “unless it’s on my cock.”
your breath stutters. it’s been months since you took him, months since your body was trained for that stretch. he was so big, it hurt. you swallow hard, pride burning at your own words.
"just… not too fast,” you say, trying to stay steady. “okay?”
he tilts his head, mocking you with that fake-soft voice. “of course, sweetie. whatever you need.”
he kissed your forehead like the lover he once was.
then slammed his full length inside you.
your mouth opens in a silent scream. he’s thick, obscene, and the sudden stretch makes your vision fade out. you claw at his biceps, nails digging in, but he doesn't care.
“you thought that bratty little attitude was gonna earn you favors?” he grits out, voice strained and dark with desire.
he pulls out almost completely, then drives back in deeper. harder.
“be good and take it.”
your mind is reeling, your body even worse. you're clenching around him like a vice, almost trying to force him to slow down. he doesn't.
in fact, he lets go of the hand pinning yours above your head and grabs your hips instead, tilting them up and fucking into you faster. he’d force you to take it. you always liked it rough.
"just needed some dick to shut you up, hmm?" he stated, each word hitting with the rhythm of his thrusts.
you almost choke. he was drilling so deep it felt like he was aiming for your throat. his hand then slid over your stomach and pressed down, and he grinned above you like the smug devil he is when he felt himself moving inside you.
"shut up—nghh—'n fuck me harder." you manage out, your tone not matching the challenge in your voice even slightly.
your body remembered him now. that stretch, that angle. you were soaking him, walls practically begging for him. his cock slipped in and out like he owned it. because he does.
sylus realizes it too, because he leans in, pushing impossibly deeper before gloating in your face. "this pussy missed me. she’s crying for it."
you try to snap something back, something sharp, anything to bite into his smugness. but it dies on your tongue the second his hips grind into yours. his cock drags deep and slow, just once, and your whole body locks up. the stretch is somehow overwhelming and perfect. like you were made for him.
your fingers scramble over his back, clinging to him for stability, but all you can manage is a strangled, “fuck, sylus—”
his rhythm falters, just for a second, but you feel it. his gaze snaps to yours, suddenly serious. his body stills then, cock twitching inside you. it seemed like he was searching for something in you that he was too scared to name.
he leans in once more, but this time not to hit deeper. to look at you, really look. his breath fanned your lips, your cheeks, your throat.
"you missed me too," he says. no question in it.
you want to lie. bite back with something petty and proud. but your pussy clenches around him like it’s answering for you, loud and shameless.
your chest heaves as you stare up at him. your throat aches from holding back all the things you swore you’d never say.
and still, you whisper it.
“yours.”
sylus goes rigid at your confession.
you feel a shudder pass through his entire body. he clenched his jaw while his hands trembled against your waist, grip tightening. then something breaks. he manhandles your thighs up and wide, body looming over yours.
“say it again.” he demands in between guttural grunts. “say you’re mine.”
you wail at the change in position, tears prickling at the corners of your eyes and pleasure twisting in your belly like a storm. “'m yours. fuck—sylus, i’m yours.”
his chest pins your thighs to your torso, folding you nearly in half. the angle makes your head dizzy, an entirely new world of bliss. you’re split open, completely at his mercy, and your cunt pulses around him like it knows it’s where it belongs.
“fucking say it while I ruin you.” his voice cracks, hips pistoning forward again and again. he’s completely unraveling, thrusts messier now, more desperate.
you chant it like a mantra. “yours, yours, yours—”
“look at you,” he grunts, sweat dripping from his jaw onto your chest. “taking me so good now. tight little pussy just needed a reminder.”
his pace is brutal and unrelenting. your thighs shake, pinned wide open, helpless to do anything but feel every inch of him. be filled by him.
his eyes don’t leave yours. there’s hunger there, but you also notice something raw too. that longing feeling you thought only you felt.
sylus dips down, lips brushing yours, and murmurs against your mouth. “you really gonna go back out there like this?”
you blink at him, dazed. “huh?”
“full of me,” he snarls, hitting deep enough to knock the breath from your lungs. “my cum soaking your thighs while you try to finish your mission. think you can keep it in?”
you moan loudly at his filthy words and he grins against your cheek.
“say you want it. say you want me to fill you up.”
you don’t even hesitate.
“yes please! sylus, want it!”
“say it right.” he commands, snapping his hips so hard the bed frame groans. “tell me who you belong to.”
“you! ’m yours—fuck—please cum inside me!”
he loses it.
his grip tightens bruisingly on your hips, dragging you down to meet every savage thrust. the drag of his cock is erratic, his body shuddering above yours.
“gonna fill you up,” he pants, “make you mine all over again—shit!—you’re gonna leak for me, kitten. gonna walk outta here with my cum dripping down your thighs and everyone knowing you let me claim you.”
the possessiveness in his voice sends you spiraling. your pussy clenches tight, fluttering around him like your body’s already begging for it. the tension in your belly coils impossibly tight. every hard, brutal thrust inside you making your vision blur.
“sylus,” you gasp, pitch high and breathless, “close, please—”
“you wanna cum on my cock?” he asked, slamming into you with the full force of his weight. “wanna milk me while I fill this cunt up?”
you nod frantically, tears spilling down your cheeks. “yes, yes! please, wanna cum with you, wanna feel you!”
sylus drops his head to your shoulder, teeth scraping your skin. "go on, then. show me how bad you want me."
and you do.
you shatter with a loud cry, your orgasm hitting like a wave that floods your senses. you clench tight around him in spasms that make your back arch off the bed and your fingers dig into his back to anchor yourself. you sob his name as your pussy pulses around him, your entire body wrung out and shaking.
“that’s it,” he moans deeply, his rhythm stuttering as your walls clamp down. “so tight—”
and he’s right there with you.
with a sharp groan, he drives himself deep to bury every inch inside. his hips jerk and his cock twitches as he spills into you, hot and thick. his voice breaks as he utters your name out like a prayer. one hand squeezes your thigh tight while the other trembles on your waist, trying to hold himself together while he fills you up.
you’re shaking, panting into his shoulder, pulling him close as his warmth spills into you. he doesn’t pull out. not yet. just stays there, breathing ragged against your skin, forehead pressed to yours.
your body trembles with aftershocks, cunt fluttering weakly around his cock, milking every drop from him like your body refuses to let him go.
“fuck,” he whispers, voice almost gentle. “you were made for me.”
you’re still dazed, your brain lagging behind the high. you can feel him dripping out of you already, warm and slick between your thighs.
he leans in, brushing a kiss to your temple, like the lover he is.
“you better squeeze those legs shut when you leave,” he murmurs, cocky smirk creeping back in. “i don’t want anyone seeing what’s mine.”

♡ when a heated argument between rafe and bitchy!kook!reader leads to the cops knocking at their door when they’re already.. ‘making up’
warnings: super toxic themes, nothing about this is romantic, cheating accusations, arguing, lots of yelling, physical violence, angst, lots of throwing and breaking things, banter (?), making up, the cops show up, unprotected sex, rafe gets slapped and choked during sex too..
a/n: this has been in the vault for a while now lolll. huge thanks to my bb @nemesyaaa for giving me this idea <3
wc: 2.8k
“you’re acting fucking crazy right now!” you walked through the front door, rafe following closely behind as you slipped your heels off. “i’m acting crazy?” you spun around, rafe eyeing the shoe in your hand. “i hear this bitch talking about how you and her fucked while we were on a break, and you expect me to be calm?” you scoffed, “don’t tell me i’m acting crazy when you haven’t even tried to start explaining to me what the fuck she’s talking about!” you threw your shoe just like rafe suspected you would.
missing him by a few inches, rafe lunged at you, grabbing the other heel out of your hand. “what the fuck did i tell you about throwing shit at me!” you rolled your eyes, shoving him away as you walked past him to the kitchen. “start talking rafe.” your boyfriend pinched the bridge of his nose, his nostrils flaring as you took a water bottle out of the fridge. “she’s obviously lying! why would i go have sex with someone when me and you were still fucking? blocked contacts and all?” you narrowed your eyes at his form.
“i swear to you, i don’t even know who that girl is!” he walked around the kitchen island, a groan rumbling from his throat when you moved away. “then why would she say that? why would she be talking to her friends about it in a pathetic little circle if it wasn’t true?” you shot back. “hello?! so that we could argue exactly how we’re arguing right now. are you really gonna give her the satisfaction by doing what she wants you to do?” he slammed his fist down on the marble slab separating you two.
arching a brow, your gaze flickered to his phone in his pocket. “give me it.” rafe scoffed. “give you what?” he sneered, his heart dropping when you pointed to the cellular device tucked away in his pants. “do you seriously wanna act stupid right now? i said give me your fucking phone.” rafe cursed under his breath, not even wanting to imagine what you’d do if you saw him hesitating. sliding the damned thing across the island, you picked it up and unlocked it. “if you take one step i’m shattering this shit.”
the first thing you did was go to his text messages, scrolling through every thread for any sign of whatever her name is. you didn’t find anything after a few minutes of searching, ‘recently deleted’ messages included. his social medias were next, a lot of them clean for the most part. you bit the inside of your cheek when you opened his photos. golfing selfies with topper, loads of offguards of you at your vanity, even more photos of you and him while you were out running errands.. amongst other things..
despite not finding anything, you noticed rafe still had this worried look on his face. biting your lip, you followed your gut feeling and opened his notes app. sure enough, there at the top was a phone number with the initial ‘s’ next to it. tapping the number, you put it on speaker before muting yourself. “who the fuck is ‘s’?” rafe’s eyes widened in realization. “don’t-” he stepped forward, making you raise a finger. the phone rung twice before a sultry voice picked up. “hey, handsome, i was waiting for you to call me..”
eyes flickering over to his, you smiled in disbelief. “rafe? hello?” you hung up, your heart beating in your ears as white hot anger blinded your vision. “i can explain that!” he knew to keep his distance from you, your fingers clutching his phone even tighter. “i don’t want to hear shit. you’re a liar, rafe. you always have been.” now you were calm, and to rafe that was worse. what made you so angry wasn’t the fact that he slept with someone else, but acting like you were the crazy one and flipping all of tonight’s arguments on you.
rafe still continued talking. “we didn’t have sex! i never even called her or anything! did you not hear her say she was waiting for me to call?!” you turned, your eyes burning into his skull. “it’s the principle! you still had this bitch’s phone number saved! that’s the fucking problem, idiot!” without thinking, you chucked the phone across the room, shattering a picture frame of you and rafe. following the line of damage, rafe’s jaw clenched. he really liked that picture of you two. “we’re breaking each other’s shit now? bet.”
you rolled your eyes as he stomped up the stairs, a bottle of perfume flying from the railing and into the wall where a hole now resided. “i could always buy a new one, asshole!” you taunted him, “with your credit card, too!” the next thing that came hurling from upstairs was a glass jewelry box where you kept all the jewelry rafe specifically bought for you. that one did in fact hurt a little. you took a breath before he really took the cake with the next item, or items. as if moving in slow motion, you watched as rafe threw over various makeup products over the spiral staircase.
eyeshadow palettes, foundation bottles, tubes of lipgloss and concealer also amongst the mess, all came to a booming crash smack in the center of the foyer. there was glass absolutely everywhere. and you were barefoot, great. you stared at the space around you, tears pricking your eyes at the scene. you and rafe stood in silence, thinking about why this continuously keeps happening. you didn’t care if he saw you crying, the sound of your sniffle making his demeanor change. “i’m sorry, baby.”
you shook your head, not wanting to hear anything. “no, you’re not.” your voice shook as you tiptoed to the couch, trying your best not to step on any glass. going inside your shared bedroom, rafe came back out with some shoes for you before making his way downstairs, the glass crunching underneath his feet. “please, i’m begging you to just let me explain all of this.” he plopped down next to you, in which you moved over all the way to the other side. petty.
“me and topper were at the golf course, kickin’ it the way we always do when this bev cart girl came up to us,” you looked over at him, your teary eyes making his stomach churn, “she was telling us that she had just started there and that she lived on the other side of the island and long story short she started flirting with me, okay?” he held his hands up defensively. “i told her that i have a girlfriend and i wasn’t interested by a long shot.” he started, “she got a little irritated and then topper, being the instigating asshole he is, invited her to the party tonight—” you cut him off.
“that still doesn’t explain why her number was in your phone, and why she was talking about you being the ‘best fuck of her life’ while i was sitting right there.” rafe rested his head in his hands for a moment. “can i finish?” you waved him off as you settled back in your corner. “things got awkward so i gave topper my phone before going inside and getting a drink. when i came back out, she had winked at me all weird and topper showed me that he had saved her number in my notes for me to send to him later because his phone was dead. that’s it, i swear.”
you didn’t say anything, a part of you hating yourself for wanting to believe him. “explain to me why she was talking crazy with her friends then.” rafe tapped the side of his head, “because she obviously knew it was you that i’m with!” he shouted, making you glare in his direction. “how would she know me?” you crossed your arms. “y/n.. besides the fact that we were all over each other, who the fuck doesn’t know you?” rafe asked incredulously. fair point. “is that all?” you looked up at him as he scooted closer.
“no.” his tone switched to that gentle lilt, your breathing slowing when he took your hand in his. with the last bit of resolve you had left, you pulled away from him. “well make it good, because i’m on the verge of leaving your ass.” rafe scoffed. “you said that last time..” he shot back, “and the time before that..” you shot him a glare. “and who broke in when i changed the locks?” you reminded him of the time you woke up to a busted door in the middle of the night. “you got me.” he shrugged, in which you looked away.
“whatever.” you felt exhausted, all of tonight’s activities were starting to catch up to you. who knew overthinking, arguing on the way home, breaking stuff, and yelling and crying could make someone so tired? “no— i mean like, you got me.” rafe closed the space between you two, wrapping an arm around your shoulders as you still avoided his gaze. “hey,” he thumbed your chin, “there has never been, and never will be, another girl. i’ll die on that hill.” your eyelids fluttered when you felt his fingers creep up on your thigh.
“i know you could see right through me, does it look like i’m lying?” the expression on his face was clear as day. he was telling the truth. you let out a shaky breath, your arms wrapping around his neck as he pulled you on top of his lap. “oh, baby, we have to do better.” he squeezed you tight, inhaling your scent as his palms ran up and down your back. you sniffled into his neck, pressing a kiss to the skin there. “i’m sorry for breaking your phone.” rafe shushed you, eyeing the broken device in the corner.
“don’t be. i’m the one who broke like half of your shit.” you didn’t even care, mostly because you knew rafe was going to replace everything anyways. you pulled back, cupping his face in your hands. “i love you.” you whispered, those three words making rafe’s heart clench. giving you a small smile, rafe replied with a ‘i love you too,’ followed by ‘give me some sugar..’ of course, you leaned in, rafe’s lips meeting yours halfway as he groaned at the taste of your lipgloss on his tongue. this was just how things went, you two have been here plenty of times before.
his hands snaked down to the globes of your ass, hiking your dress up as he kneaded your flesh between his fingers. your kisses became more feverish, a muffled moan sounding from you when rafe slipped his tongue inside your mouth. he dragged your hips against his clothed erection, both of you hissing at the much needed friction. “how bad do you want it?” rafe panted, nipping the skin of your neck. you almost laughed at his words. “how bad do i want it?” you repeated, “how bad do you want to take it from me?” rafe groaned when you wrapped a hand around his throat, pushing his head back against the couch.
he should’ve known taking the reigns wasn’t going to be that easy. with one of your hands restricing his intake of air, he blinked up at the ceiling, his eyes fluttering shut as you pressed kisses to his chest. you were so sexy like this, he let you grind against him until he couldn’t stand to not be inside of you for another second. you let rafe remove your grip on his neck, a small gasp leaving your lips as he took both of your hands and tucked them behind your back. your head was resting on his shoulder as he pulled himself out of his pants, his fingers moving your underwears to the side before forcing you to sink down onto his length.
you were so slick and ready for him, rafe couldn’t refrain from cursing in your ear. “you’ve been soaked this whole time, huh? fighting turns you on, is that it?” you met his eyes. “mhmm,” you leaned down, “you make me so wet when you’re mad..” rafe grunted, landing a harsh smack to your ass. he knew that already, but hearing you say that while he’s both angry and sexually frustrated just ticked him off even more.
soon, you were the one bouncing on top of him, making him watch in awe as his cock disappeared inside of your greedy cunt. wanting to watch you unravel, he started stroking your clit, making you double over. “you wanna cum? you have to earn that shit.” without a word, you reached up, slapping him across the cheek. the action made him twitch inside of you. “you only cum if i get to.” you kissed him roughly, biting his bottom lip as you pulled away. you were so serious too.
rubbing your clit in harder circles, you nearly screamed when the tip of his cock began pressing that sweet spot inside of you. “fuck—” your thighs began trembling, your orgasm just right there in arms reach when there was a loud bang at the front door. both of you jumped, the fire in your loins melting away into nothing as both of you froze. “what the fuck?” rafe held onto you tighter before the banging continued. “who the fuck is that?” you got up, pulling off of him with a hiss. “outer banks sheriff deputies, open up!” you and rafe looked at each other with wide eyes.
rafe cursed under his breath, adjusting your dress and his pants before stepping in front of you to answer the door. “can i help you?” he peeked out, two other cops standing at his side. “are you the owner of this home?” rafe squeezed your hand, responding to the officer with a ‘yes, sir.’ opening the door a little more, the cop continued to explain why him and his team were there. “we received a few calls reporting a domestic dispute at this address, ‘said that they heard yelling and a lot of ruckus.” you shut your eyes for a moment. you should’ve assumed the whole island was able to hear you and rafe going at each other’s throats.
“uh, no sir, nothing domestic going on around here.” rafe joked. no one laughed. “no? so the four separate calls we received were all lying?” four separate calls? damn, people couldn’t mind their business around here. “well, uh.. yes, me and my girlfriend had a little disagreement but we’re okay now—” immediately, the sheriff demanded to see some kind of identification. taking his id out of the wallet in his pocket, rafe cooperated as the older man had him confirm his information. “so you said you and the woman are ‘good’ now?” officer shoupe, as rafe had learned, asked with concern.
“yes, sir, she’s right here.” before you could protest, rafe dragged you to the front, an awkward smile adorning your lips as you were pretty sure they could see the smudged lipgloss all over your mouth. “hello, sweetheart. can you confirm that you are safe and in not any immediate danger with this man?” you looked back at rafe, having never been questioned by the police before. “yes, i’m safe,” you answered, “we just had a little fight, but we’re making up now..” one of the female officers cleared her throat awkwardly.
“i see..” shoupe nodded, gaze flickering back at rafe. “well i guess we’ll leave you two alone then. next time, can you please keep your volume low? you two had some people pretty spooked there.” you mumbled a ‘yes, sir.’ before rafe pulled you back inside and shut the door. it was silent for a moment, both of you seemingly looking around at the aftermath of everything. “i can’t believe people called the cops..” you walked over to the kitchen and grabbed the broom. rafe watched with a confused expression as you started sweeping up glass.
“so, uh— we aren’t going to pick up where we left off?” you looked up at him with a look that said ‘seriously?’. “no. how about we ‘pick up where we left off’ after you help me clean all of this up, and replace everything you destroyed?” rafe groaned. he could always count on you to leave him with blue balls. deciding to help you, it wasn’t long before everything was cleaned up, no sign of any earlier events except for the new hole in the wall. after you two showered and settled in bed, rafe held you flush against his chest while he kissed up your back,
“are you sure you don’t want to finish?” rafe sounded pained, like he needed to be inside of you immediately. turning around in his embrace, you pecked his lips before swinging a leg over his hips. “make it fast.” you pretended like you didn’t want the same thing, a smile gracing your lips when you heard rafe mutter a ‘thank god.’ before slipping off of your nightgown.
