one upside of my parents moving their space from the sunroom to the living room is that the sunroom is now mine. it's my space. there's a little nook that they set up for me with a recliner by the front windows and i can open the windows, kick back the recliner and just be alone. there's like four outlets here too, i barely have to move :)

this is nothing i used to play overwatch and minecraft pvp with a trackpad*. i beat both portal games with a trackpad**. i have not used a mouse for years fear my power

(*about as well as you’d expect for someone playing on an early 2010s macbook with semi-rural australian internet, which is to say extremely poorly, but it wasn’t down to my trackpad usage)

A very interesting wheelchair to start!

The first things that strike me are the size of the pushrims. They're very far into the wheel, and very small. Not only would it be hard to reach down and then push them effectively, but it leads into the second problem - this wheelchair is 90% recliner. It covers the back of his shoulders entirely - you try and reach down and behind you from a recliner next time you're in one!

When it comes to wheelchairs, weight is a huge factor, because you're pushing the chair and yourself! Lay-Z-Boys are heavy as shit, and even if this chair was stuffed with the lightest metal and stuffing, it's still gonna be Heavier than a more standard frame.

His legs being out so far is also an interesting but not inherently bad design choice.

All that said, he doesn't leave the house in it. And we never even see him pushing himself. Maybe he just makes Scott, Hank, or Warren do it. They're seen doing so later in the comic so I can only assume (though I wish we got a look at how beefy the castors on that thing must be).

Ultimately still gets any points for being an eccentric rich man's recliner wheelchair. Who doesn't want to live in a recliner? It still gets a huge deduction for being extremely impractical.

I think the sticky felty feet for furniture when you have hardware floors just kinda suck, as they slip out from under almost every chair/bed in the house (the coffee and dining room tables are holding out strong so far)

I already knitted feet for one recliner, and was literally immediately (like next day) after given another recliner after my parents upgraded their own living room, so that's, *counting* 4 wooden table chairs and 1 recliner, so two long feet and 16 small ones.

yes I tried gorilla glueing the feet to the table chairs it didn't work there's just glue bubbled out dripping upwards now from footless chair legs that are still scraping against the floor when I sit down.
