okay just for fun i'm going to compile the garbled knowledge i have about what happens in bnha going forward (so everything after season 5 episode 8/middle of the joint training arc).
this is a few years of passively picking stuff up through tumblr, ao3 and a friend who reads the manga and would periodically upon request tell me how my kids were doing
so...bnha spoilers below the cut, including fairly recent manga spoilers. except they are incomplete, garbled and possibly entirely wrong
upcoming arcs: endeavour internship arc, plf arc, ??? other ones probably, final war arc
bakugou, midoriya & todoroki intern at endeavour's agency. endeavour redemption arc continues to be a thing that is happening
midoriya develops the past OFA users quirks - blackwhip first, then float, and then the others are i think...danger sense, smokescreen, some kind of...healing thing? i have definitely seen them all referenced in fic but i mostly just remember float and blackwhip
touya reveal!! dance with your son in hell!! we stan. i have no idea what the outcome of this is other than that i believe natsuo never gets on board with endeavour redemption but fuyumi does. i think maybe shouto as well...
at some point things about hawks?? and the hero commission's...stuff?? with hawks?? gets revealed publically and contributes to growing unrest about heroes' roles in society. and the touya stuff i think also gets revealed and contributes to this
oh kurogiri obviously. that's season 5 i'm pretty sure. kurogiri is a noumu made from oboro shirakumo, aizawa & mic's (& midnight's?) UA friend who they thought died under some rubble during agency placements. it was actually aizawa they were after but they got oboro instead. aizawa & mic go to confront him and try to get through to him and it initially does not work
while i'm on aizawa knowledge: he gets shot with a quirk destroying bullet in the leg and fucking cuts his own leg off to try and stop it from working. and on what is maybe a separate occasion he loses an eye, i think to shigaraki. idk if eri rewinds one of both of these injuries??
eri does successfully rewind mirio's quirk back. and at some point midoriya loses his goddamn arms?? but eri fixes that. so often when i asked my friend for updates it would end up being about how many limbs my faves currently had
midnight dies. idk how or why. twice i think also dies. again, no context.
aoyama is revealed as the UA traitor. he was born quirkless and was given his quirk by AFO. it was an overall sympathetic he had v few good choices kind of situation i think
at some point everything kind of collapses. i think this is to do with public reaction to hero stuff?? but the whole city seems kind of wrecked and a bunch of people are sheltering on UA's campus i think...and then midoriya for reasons i do not really understand runs off on his own for an iconic yellow scarf of sadness era of going rogue. and 1-a has to track him down and yell a lot about how they love him and he needs to cut it out. this includes a bakugou apology i believe
i think the midoriya run away coincides with OFA reveal?? he writes them letters i think...then he comes back and there's a lot of discussion about baths
climactic midoriya shigaraki fight...we find out shigaraki used to be quirkless. i think AFO gave him the quirk used to kill his family or something equally fucked up. midoriya...throws all his quirks out? to like? achieve something? so he (temporarily) is quirkless...
bakugou dies but they fix it. i think with...shigaraki...somehow. oh and at some point during all this i think kurogiri does do some helpful for the heroes teleporting?? so they maybe did get through to him in the end?
timejump and SHINSOU IS IN 2-A. this is the only thing that matters actually!! my boy!! he did it!!!!! he took aoyama's spot bc aoyama didn't feel like he could come back even tho he'd pretty much been forgiven. so we just missed canonising the iconic 'shinsou hitoshi is in class 1-a' tag bc it's 2-a and fully did not canonise the 'shinsou hitoshi replaces mineta minoru' tag
skjdhfh i'm sure i'm forgetting a bunch that i do actually know and just can't think of rn so i will maybe reblog this if i remember more

BNHA Rewatch: Season 1 Episode 9 “Yeah, Just Do Your Best, Iida”
mysterylover123
Tumblr media
And we’re back to worldbuilding! These little interviews are great little snapshots of each character. BTW this reporter lady is the same one from Camino Ward and Hosu. Hope she got a raise out of that!
Tumblr media
This bit with Bakugou is awesome, as he calmly accepts Aizawa’s advice and acknowledges his failures, as does MIdoriya. They changed this completely in the dub, BTW, having Bakugou be disrespectful to Aizawa (and of course, because they’re the main characters, they’re the only ones whose grades we hear. Darnit.) Also, unrelated, but Bakugou’s unbuttoned shirt collar is sexy.
Tumblr media
Class rep time. Full disclosure, first time around I didn’t know what a Class Rep was. Had to watch more anime to figure that out. I’m not entirely clear (because I can’t read Japanese) on how the voting turned out - the chart makes it look like Deku and Jiro both got 3? But they didn’t...anyway, Deku and Momo! I kinda wish they would hang out more, they’re fairly similar and seem like they’d have a fun dynamic.
Tumblr media
Love the anime’s added little head tilt from Shoto. Not in the manga. This whole sequence is hilarious and adorable.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now for some Iichako! Ochaco noticing Iida talks like a rich kid, Ochaco complimenting him on his smile, Ochaco (and Deku) being the only kids at school who Iida told about his identity...it’s all very wholesome and sweet. Until I remember what happens to Tensei and the Ingenium theme starts playing in my head...goddamit...
Tumblr media
Good, a distraction! So what did cause this perimeter breach, BTW? Kurogiri? I mean, he can just warp people in wherever, so was it really just the press? But why did Shigaraki dissolve the front door? Does this have something to do with the UA traitor? No idea. I’m sure Traitor Theorists have picked this section apart enough already, though.
Tumblr media
Iidaraka teamwork! Iida being awesome here. This is actually really clever as a means to solve the problem, TBH. There are so many smart characters in this show, and the ones who aren’t have that fact pointed out as a visible issue. I love it; so many shows out there feel like the plot only happens because the characters have to avoid smart choices or obvious solutions. BNHA, not so much.
All Might being this good even in his weakened state hypes me up for how insanely OP Deku will be at full power. Like holy crap.
Tumblr media
Still not sure what the payoff will be for Tsuyu being onto Deku’s quirk. Guess it’s just a means to introduce her character.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I couldn’t quite put my finger on why I like this section so much, but makeste’s reaction to this scene in the manga sums it up well: “what I really like about this is that I didn’t necessarily expect this dynamic, but it makes sense. these are all kids whose dearest ambition is to become superheroes. they’ve been accepted into the most elite and selective hero course in the country (world?). of course they aren’t going to fall in line according to the typical high school social structure. these are a bunch of wannabe do-gooders – they’re going to value heroic traits like kindness and selflessness, and conversely they’re going to come down hard on anyone who’s mean and self-absorbed which in this case means that for the first time in his life, the bully has become the bullied. poor Bakugou, you’re learning so many life lessons the hard way and you’re barely into your first week yet” (https://makeste.tumblr.com/post/177920533853/bnha-chapter-013-today-i-fucked-up)
Also give it a couple hundred chapters and Kaminari will be getting up in this guy’s face and calling him Kacchan. Character Development!
Tumblr media
And finally to the USJ! The villains are in the building, people! Damn, I just finished reading chapter 239, and re-watching this is like “whoa, man, they sure leveled up, huh?” Trying to even conceive of what Season 5 is gonna be like, when they finally get there...it’ll feel like a totally different show. (Also, big FMA fan, so whenever Dub! Tomura talks, all I hear is Kimblee.)
So that’s episode 9! It’s sort of a transition/slice of life ep, so there’s really not a ton that happens. It’s quite endearing and sets up a lot of important stuff. Mostly it reminds me of the bigger things to come in the future.
BKDK Corner:
LOL at Baku blowing up over Deku being voted Class rep. He never stops thinking of you, Deku.
Tumblr media
“I felt like I just had to tell him.” Honesty is the cornerstone of a healthy marriage, All Might. You know that. (manga pic from Kira-Elric’s post instead of anime scene, for the highlight)
Best Girl of the Ep: Reporter Lady
Ranker: Favorite Combo Moves:
5 Hot Air (Todoroki and Inasa)
4 Meteor Fafrotskies (Uraraka and Asui)
3 Double Detroit Smash (Deku and All Might)
2 Infinite 100% Full Cowl (Deku and Eri)
1 Fire + Nitroglycerin (Bakugou and Todoroki)

Tinfoil Discussions: My Hero Academia - The UA Traitor
I guess I’m late for the height of this debate, but I might as well throw my hat in. I will begin with this though; I’m not caught up with the anime or manga. I am waiting for Season 4 to finish up so I can binge it, so everything I say below is from memory of seasons 1-3 (which I had really enjoyed having binged for 3 days, they really do the ‘punch the air in victory’ moments well), so some of it might be wrong through hindsight I don’t currently have (and please don’t let me know, I’ve done my best to limit the spoiler content as much as youtube keeps suggesting me thumbnails of s4 moments and manga chapters)
So for anyone farther back than I am, spoilers for Seasons 1-3 and general speculation below
There is a Traitor Among Us Said by Present Mic after Bakugo was taken in the Forest of Beasts, it became all to apparent that someone had been leaking information to the League of Villains. The idea of a traitor is an uncomfortable one, since it means that someone in the loveable cast is not genuine and what’s more is perfectly willing to allow heroes and students alike to die in order to simply get at All-Might. Now, I don’t think I know who the traitor is, but I do have theories and options. Suspecting the Students The students are the first to be suspected because they’re the new blood, all this has happened from the start of the semester and the young are influenced easier. With kids having constant access to their phones there is an easier possibility for a leak, and the traitor could be the following people Hagakure - Perhaps the one everyone seems to be looking to, it is quite easy to point the finger at the Invisible Girl. Hagakure is an expert in stealth and her personality is bubbly enough to be seen as a facade, being unable to keep track of her is the main reason people could suspect her. However, I really don’t like this option; it’s too easy you know? And you’d have to pull out a hell of a lot to explain multiple things. For instance, Hagakure can’t make objects invisible as shown by her clothes, where would she keep a phone? At USJ they were in their Hero outfits and if I remember rightly the Forest of Beasts had no phone signal, it’s possible that there’s like a tracker under her skin (a decent way to have the league bug the class but also have her be a victim) but even then that’s just location. Another qualm would be bastardizing her friendship with Ojiro and the people who actually see her (despite being invisible), if she wanted intel surely she’d get closer to the people of interest to the league, there’s also her desire to stand out, a spy would not be so flagrant about standing out. It could just be that I don’t want to suspect any of the Class 1-A students, but it does seem too obvious to make Hagakure the traitor. Monoma - on the other side of the coin there’s Monoma, who I really dislike. Mr ‘Ohmygoshclass1Ahasflawstoo’ is someone very obsessive over hierarchy, the line of superior and inferior. You also can’t deny that he has been trying to sow seeds of disarray by putting 1-A and 1-B against one another. Like Tobi in Naruto, it serves well to be wary of joke characters, and let’s not forget that Monoma has a dangerous quirk. His copying may not switch by touch, or deplete over 5 minutes without use, it could be that the ability disappears after 5 minutes of full use (or it’s just a flat out lie). His quirk is the worrisome thing, remember how he first met Midoriya? He intentionally bumped into him, if he’s able to copy One for All that could be extremely dangerous for the villain’s side right? Monoma being the traitor does require a bit of stretching though. it rides a lot on 1-B having been to USJ before 1-A (which is possible since Midoriya would have to recover from his broken arm on the combat training) and someone letting slip where the Forest was (since 1-B got there after 1-A, giving him opportunity to contact the league), he also got the information that 1-A would be at a different stadium for the license exams, allowing Toga to get some blood and pose as Camie for 3 days. He’s also someone who has had direct interaction with Bakugo and seen firsthand his potential, but he was also safe and sound in the Forest’s extra-curricular base (where Dabi just happened to know where Aizawa, Vlad and other students were). Monoma may be overboard, but it could just be his villainy seeping out, we cannot forget that Monoma is a formidable strategist as shown in the Calvary Battle. Mirio Togota - put down those pitchforks! I will immediately say that this is highly unlikely. But Buff Tintin just seems off to me, nobody can deny his strength or the refinement of his quirk but again it’s silliness as a front. He uses nudity as a distraction tool but we’ve seen him effortlessly use his quirk to stick his face out to Midoriya. Togota knows little about 1-A so that adds to his unlikelihood, but being closest to Number 1 and then to see All Might take on the first years? That could sting, and his quirk does allow him a strong capability for infiltration, all he has to do is poke an ear out somewhere hidden or phase through a locked room to look at documents. I heavily doubt this is where we’re going with him, but he is an option nonetheless. Suspecting the teachers While it’s difficult to accuse the students, the teachers are easier to accuse but harder to prove. Every teacher knows that All Might is weakening, but every teacher also knows about USJ and the Beast Forest’s location, so they have access to betray, it all then comes down to motive. Nezu - the principal is the heavy long shot, we know he has his manic times but it’s a matter of whether he would subject his fellow heroes and students to death. It’s a shallow motive that I don’t see, but you have to suspect the guy with all the information, especially now that he managed to put the students immediately under the eye of Big Brother. Ectoplasm - The man who can clone himself is definitely someone who can wander off. I remember them saying that he was able to clone himself more while drunk at karaoke, but is that simply a hint that Ectoplasm has at least 2 clones he never accounts for hero work? Judging by the peg leg he is certainly experienced, and I’m sure he ranks high on the ‘Heroes that look most like Villains’ list that Gang Orca is on (Endeavor’s Number 1 right? Has to be, only thing he would earn the Number 1 spot for besides World’s Worst Dad XD). Ectoplasm’s clones allow him to easily spy, steal and have an alibi all at once, his interaction with the students and knowledge of the class protocol do mean that he has the sufficient knowledge to leak to the league. Snipe - Snipe out of the teachers would be my likely pick, Gas Mask McCree here could’ve easily tapped Shigaraki with his quirk, but he went for the arm and leg even though he was going straight for Midoriya and All Might. The fact that he always wears a mask does open the door for him being a replacement as well, All for One having stolen his quirk and bestowed it unto a spy or simply that Snipe isn’t all that good. He was the first to quickly turn the finger pointing to Present Mic when he brought up traitor talk. Like the other two teachers, he’s able to access information without getting involved in the league’s matters, but it has to be really suspicious that he could headshot grunts at USJ but shot Shigaraki in spots he could survive in. Suspecting an outsider Just because there is a traitor leaking UA info, doesn’t mean that they have to be in UA, parents must have forms to permit their kids to go out in these things, and people can sneak into the premises in different ways. Currently though there is only one outsider I can suspect Endeavor - I can’t have been alone when the moment I saw Endeavor I thought ‘that guy’s a villain’. Since Season 3 I don’t believe he’s in league with the villains so much, his reaction to being Number 1 does slightly protect him from accusation, but not entirely. While he may be the Number 2 Hero, Endeavor is a horrible person, using money and influence to get what he wants and what he wants is to be treated as better than All Might, this coincides with the league’s goal to remove All Might as the Number 1 Hero and Symbol of Peace. Motivation for treachery would obviously be jealousy, and he’s only angry about the One for All incident because All Might still triumphed, so his ultimate victory is actually tainted, he didn’t want to win ‘this way’. The matter of him getting the info could require more traitors within UA, but someone of Endeavor’s status definitely has the funds to bribe or the influence to have access to security cameras, under the guise of a ‘parent keeping an eye on his child experiment’ (after all, wouldn’t want him to go like that other child with fire powers, Endeavor’s blue eyes and who’s obviously one of his previous failed experiments). Power and Influence allows people to get more things and being a UA alumnus also has small benefits to elbow in some spying. We were never told that Todoroki was on the list, but Endeavor would surely want to write Bakugo - the guy who beat his son at the Sports Festival - out of the way, even at USJ putting him in an area where his son could easily handle himself while Nomu ‘dealt’ with All Might. Suspecting someone new While the idea of a traitor means that you have to look at the characters you know, this could also be a red herring. One of UA’s current strengths has been the ability to trust one another in their ability, be it between classes or schools in the license exams. So to sow distrust means they break the foundations of the future. I believe that the endgame of the manga isn’t just having a ‘Number One Hero’ but a group of heroes who can all dispatch and work well together, it does look like that’s how we’re building with Midoriya, Todoroki and Bakugo getting some diverse team ups with the rest of their class. If that is the case, then this is the moment where the unity has to be reinforced, which’d mean identifying that a villain is causing this traitor talk. Besides, 3 people calling themselves a ‘league’ is rather underwhelming, most of their influence came post-Stain so maybe there have been people we’ve yet to see. A Mind Reader - We’ve had telepathy in Mandalay (low suspicion on her, since she knows nothing about USJ) going outwards but she was unable to actually read minds, we also have a brainwasher in Shinso. So right in the middle would be someone who can read people’s thoughts, a mind reader easily has access to read the thoughts of teachers to relay back to the league. A Bug - we know that there are animal-kind quirks (oh yeah Koda’s quirk could be treacherous, but he’s too wimpy for me to suspect him) in Tsu, Pony, that OVA Lizard girl, Tokoyami, Spinner, Selkie and Gang Orca, so what if there was a villain with a quirk of an insect. We had a small nod to insects in the exam Kyoka and Koda had, showing how they could sneak into other places - or people in Present Mic’s case. If there was someone with an insect quirk they could literally be a Fly on the Wall. A Body Swapper - I mentioned earlier that Snipe could have his body swapped because he’s hidden under the mask, but we could go deeper. Citing Naruto’s Yamanaka Clan jutsu, DBZ’s Ginyu or DC Comics’ Jericho, there could be someone with the quirk to basically take over someone’s body for a short while. This could be a way to have characters be unknowing leaks. Like how a mind reader goes between Mandalay and Shinso’s quirks, a body swapper would sit between Shinso and Toga’s quirks so it’s not entirely out there for a quirk like that to exist, let alone for nobody to notice that quirk exists because they don’t ever recall their body being taken over. Conclusion So yeah, those are my list of suspects. As stated before I’d rather it not be a 1-A student, the art of these things is to use it as a twist and if you can immediately guess the twist then it’s not a good twist. Granted I’m sure delivery can better a obvious twist, such as when we finally get told that Dabi is related to the Todoroki family or when Stain gets released and fights alongside Midoriya but in terms of the UA Traitor - a lingering plot line that has spread through half the series - you need a big drop to validate the wait. Personally I would like the traitor to either be a teacher, Endeavor or someone we’ve not seen before that builds to a big bad. Regardless it’ll probably be years before I find out, much shorter for Manga readers, but when it does happen I hope the reveal is satisfying.

Hey if you wanna read me rambling about kaminari then here you go
I would say Kaminari is one of the most openly expressive and emotional people in his class. He has no problem showing when he’s angry, happy, sad, etc but they tend to stay in the realm of shallow reactions. When someone is mean he gets angry or dejected but it doesn’t seem to last long or have a lasting impression on him.
Each character arc tends to have an emotional barrier, there is an issue that the character needs to come to terms with and not only are they fighting a mental battle but a physical battle as well. Todoroki is fighting Deku in the arena but he’s also fighting that internal abuse, he’s confronting it for the first time and pushing past it. When he used his fire he has pushed past that mental/emotional wall and is bettering himself.
Iida is fighting Stain but in that time he’s waging a war internally, a war about what is right and wrong. It’s the struggle of something that is wrong but right vs something that is right but wrong. Avenging his brother seems right, but it is inherently wrong. Stain’s values seem wrong but are technically right. Heroes should be accountable, heroes should take their jobs seriously and serve rather than use it to serve themselves.
Kirishima vs Rappa (Spoilers for non-manga readers) This is a battle of worth, Kirishima doesn’t see himself or his strength as having any value. He makes comments on it since the beginning and it’s Deku who is the one who to say no, it’s like a pro heroes. In the fight Kirishima needs to step up and do something and he has to push past that feeling of being incapable of helping. He regrets what he did in middle school and it’s trauma that he has to overcome.
In that fight he realizes he is capable of more, his quirk is capable of more and he is worthy of the title of hero.
Momo vs Aizawa, now, for her I do hope we get more of her and more of an arc but this battle was really good for her. This is a battle of confidence and it takes the form of Aizawa. Honestly, what zaps a person’s confidence more than having their quirk taken away? She needs to find the confidence in herself, her own mind and abilities and Todoroki helps her remember that she is a very capable woman. With that reminder she puts the plan together and they are able to take on Aizawa and win. From then on she is more confident and we see in the 1-A vs 1-B arc that she has the confidence and if she trains more she’ll be able to execute bigger and badder things. She just overdid it and ended up tiring herself out.
Now, what does all this have to do with Kaminari?
WELL I’M GLAD YOU ASKED!
Kaminari doesn’t seem to display any deep emotional issues. It might be he’s too dumb to be sad, ignorance is bliss after all but I’m hoping that’s not the case. I’m thinking more of a dissociation issue.
When Kaminari loses he never seems to take it to heart, he doesn’t seem to concentrate on it. He’s not embarrassed on his mistakes or looking bad which is kind of weird. In the tournament he lost really easily, with his midterm exam he got 20th and failed the practical. Now, it can be noted that Mina who was in the same boat didn’t seem too upset either, we didn’t see her having a moment of insecurity or doubt. It can be equated that they’re too dumb and cute to feel bad about their failures. Which in all honesty, good for them. They are strong.
They got upset in the moment but we don’t see them reflecting and ruminating on their failures. Obivously the upcomming arc was not about Mina and Kaminari so they were pushed to the background as usual.
In any case if there was an arc for Kaminari I think it would have to do with his emotional distance, we don’t see him having any in depth heroic reasoning for becoming a hero. It could be he’s only being a hero to impress girls. Kirishima’s original concept had his reason for joining UA to impress a girl but since his reason has changed that concept might have been pushed to Kaminari. We haven’t heard him from Kaminari though.
All we know is that he’s a friendly guy and helps connect the class together. When they were describing Kaminari there was a panel that said he has a mouth that bridges gaps. He basically talks to people like they’re his best friend. That’s why he is fine with telling off Bakugo because idk about you but my bestie calls me a dumb bitch from time to time and I aint even mad about it lolol
He’s also open with compliments and what he feels, he says what he thinks and he does bridge those gaps pretty easily which is shown by the tiny tid bits between him and Bakugo. Kaminari straight up called his personality shit and Bakugo yelled at him but nothing more happened. The whole class saw that so everyone could kind of see that Bakugo is angry and crazy but he’s not completely bonkers and purely malice.
Bakugo told Kaminari about the use of his gauntlets which came in handy during the license exam arc. It’s hinted at that Bakugo told Kaminari he took music classes when Kaminari brought up that information when they were trying to make the band.
Basically, what I’m saying is Kaminari makes friends with everyone and see’s everyone in his class as his friends and treats them as such. He values them more than himself, he puts himself at a disadvantage and then puts himself in danger. So when it comes to fighting he seems fine with self sacrifice, when he was with Momo and Jirou and he decided to use full force he knew he’d go wheey mode. He knew that he would fry his brain but when he attacked he just yelled out how he wouldn’t hurt his friends. He was so excited and happy he could use his power despite what it’d do to him and save his friends.
He’s such a good boy.
Anyways! So with the recent chapter we have scene Kaminari does reflect on his ranking in the class when he talked about how now he doesn’t have anything that sets him above Todoroki and Bakugo now that they got their license. He doesn’t show any sadness, he’s actually quite nonchalant about it.
It can be hinted that he doesn’t allow himself to become emotionally invested in his own person. He doesn’t allow himself to feel to deeply about his failures or himself. Can’t be hurt if you don’t care kind of mentality. Or rather, can’t over think something if you don’t think at all.
I think if Kaminari had an arc it would force him to become present in himself, to think about what he wants and to take it seriously. He’ll face the physical form of his dissociation and the fight where he must look inside and figure out what kind of person and hero he’s going to be.
I’m hoping that he pretends to join the other side though and is a traitor but to the enemy. That’d be sweet.

Consider: Mina is a genuinely happy and positive person, but everyone has bad days (especially people who have been thru trauma, like seeing your loved ones regularly beaten to a bloody pulp). The thing is that Mina just. Refuses to show that trauma has actually been effecting her. She starts suppressing negative reactions to situations bc she wants to "stay strong." Beginning of the year? She cried when they got rescued from USJ. End of the year? "Lmao guess we survived another one! Ha! Ha! :)"
oh my god like millennial humor?? if yeah then lmao mina please
if not ahhh Mina baby you have feelings too that you gotta tend to!\
Alright- All (or at least all the angst headcanons I received) are answered below the cut! Please be careful, there are some, well angsty things in there!
TW: Eating Disorder, Gore/ Graphic Depictions, Homophobia, Depression, Suicidal Tendencies/ Self harm mention, Death, Possible spoilers to those not caught up with the BNHA manga- Please ask to tag if I missed any!
(looking at all these warnings made me realize omfg YALL DID NOT HOLD BACK IM CRYING ASK AND THOU SHALT RECEIVETH I SUPPOSE)
a-single-eyelash asked:
Denki accidentally hurt someone as a kid, say a sibling or good friend, with his quirk. It made him hate his work, until he saw a hero with a similar work to his. This is what made him think that not only is his quirk cool, but also that he can become a hero. Well until, he hurt Sero. His boyfriend, got electrocuted by him on the battlefield. (Sorry this is an idea I’ve had for a fic)
O H
BRUH THAT HIT ME LIKE A TRAIN COMING OUT FROM BEHIND THE BUSHES I THOUHGT THERE WAS GONNA BE A HAPPY ENDING THIS IS STILL GOOD THO
anonymous asked:
Bakugou is still sad, Sero is suicidal (Read to may fics about it man), Kami is legitimately afraid he’ll disappoint his parents, Tsu feels to normal, Kiri feeeeeelsss way to useless, and idk maybe Aoyama feels ignored. My own angsty headcanons.
Ah, yeah I can see how those can play into those characters!
anonymous asked:
Sero’s fight or flight response with a villains ice-like quirk (if your for that headcanon) OR Sero overwhelming his quirk trying to rescue a goddamn building of people
OH YA I AM FOR THAT
Also NO STOP HAVE I GOT SOMETHING IN STORE ABOUT COLLAPSING BUILIDINGS
anonymous asked:
Ashido + Bakugou bond over their quirks being destructive and not really knowing how to use them to actually *help* people
oh wow, I’ve never actually seen it that way.
But how about this: while they vent to each other about how their quirks can’t help people, the other is like, full on giving them descriptions of how their quirks actually CAN but they just never realized and they’re opening each other’s eyes while having their own insecurities knocked down
anonymous asked:
Omg your angst au is so angsty it’s beautiful
AH thank you haha!
anonymous asked:
Angsty headcannon boi-  Sero was bullied in middle school for having wonky teeth and actually had braces. Which is why he has such a pearly white smile now.  Sero was the last in his class to get his quirk and when he did he was laughed at because it was a ‘useless quirk’
n O ANON IM SOB
IM CRYING LEAVE HIM ALONE ILL SQUARE UP WITH THOSE BULLIES
anonymous asked:
Angst head cannon.  Sero flinches whenever kirishima hardens.  Sero’s parents are majorly homophobic and are actually quite strict. So whenever sero isn’t with bakusquad he tries to revise but it doesn’t work and he’s scared to ask for help.
Aw, man that’s heart wrenching to have parents so unsupportive- I feel it :( He’s just in a constant worry state whenever they’re around
anonymous asked:
If you’re still accepting the angst hcs… i think kaminari gets like really overcharged whenever there’s a storm and since they moved to the dorms there’s nowhere for him to release all the excess energy. So he just kinda hides away in his room in pain.
Aw, that’s terrible!
I dunno.. I feel like that one day when someone finds out during a storm, they’ll like, ask the teachers about “where someone could discharge a lot of energy askingforafriend” and they immediately know who they’re talking about and they’ll ask Powerloader and Mei and others in their department to build something for him to discharge all the excess AND be able to utilize it somehow :0 just a thought!
anonymous asked:
My headcannons: Sero is anorexic Bakugou has PTSD Kaminari has depression Kirishima had self-esteem issues Ashido is perfect (canon)
Oh that last part- she is, she is *clap**clap*
Though.. I will say that just because the others are haunted by those- it doesn’t make them less perfect. It’s their struggles that they learn to cope with and grow from, and it makes them, well, them. Not a definition of perfect can define that :’)
(sorry just speaking from my thoughts cause these hit close to home ahhh)
anonymous asked:
Lmao i sent a lot sorry if their not the best but hopefully some heart strings will be pulled
NONSENSE ANON ALL MY HEART STRINGS WERE PLUCKED BY ALL THESE AND NOW ITS YALLS TURN
transcandydemon asked:
Todocanon; todoroki has constant nightmares of the boiling water incident and of his father hurting him or his mom which causes him to not get as much sleep ie his calm attitude and how he’s not quick to get into conversations because of exhaustion
oh ya, such a traumatic past is def something that could still be haunting him in his dreams :’( but when the others notice, they’ll make sure to check up on him and try to find ways to help reduce nightmares or at least comfort him whenever they’re in his dreams
anonymous asked:
Deku head canon : deku is super jealous of kirishimas and bakugoa relationship since hes been trying to get close to kacchan for years and kirishima managed to do it within days
D’: He probably would feel that- jealousy’s very strong! But ah, in my personal opinion, i think he’d feel that, but after time learns that maybe it was best that he stopped dwelling on it and moves on, and learns to accept and be happy that he and Bakugou could at least be acquaintances that could eventually work well :’)
anonymous asked:
Denki headcanon: where he wants to be as close to bakugo as kirishima is and he tries so damn hard but takes bakugos insults to heart and he really does get torn up and upset about it(ex: the sports festival scene )
Oh wait which scene? Dunce face or?? :0 but yeah, I feel like he’d take it to heart at times. (but my bakukami heart tells me to say that when Baku realizes he gives him a good ass pep talk and beings hold back on his insults, or reassures Denki)
anonymous asked:
Bakugou could have PTSD and nightmares
Oh same headcanon! :’D Ah, but poor Bakugou. I’m sure the others would take it into mind and be aware of it and help him subtly so as to not provoke him, :’(
violetsare-tblue asked:
Bakugo: because of his inferiority complex, feels like he needs to prove himself over and over or he’ll be just the victim again  Iida: his left arm is completely numb. He isn’t paralyzed and he can move it. He just can’t feel anything in his hand or arm. Makes holding hands with someone feel empty and useless  Sero: he is so scared of being worthless as a hero and a person. He doesn’t want to be left behind by his classmates so he overworks himself and comes to school with random bruises
Oh mmhmm, I definitely see the Bakugou one! Especially after what he said during his fight with Deku, it def shows :(
Aw, Iida probably still looks back at his actions back in the Stain arc and regrets the errors of his ways. Luckily, I’m sure he’ll find someone who helps him through it and reminds him that mistakes don’t define him :’)
:’( Serooo MAKING ME CRY
casua-aria asked:
I have this Sero headcanon where he was the disposable (like how when tape dispensers run out and become disposable) friend in groups throughout his childhood, but now that he goes to UA, he has true caring friends that would never do that to him.
D: !!
That’s so sad- he must have thought his quirk was just life taunting him for being “disposable” hence the tape quirk :( but heck yeah, once he meets the students of UA he definitely begins to see that he wasn’t the problem in the past, but rather those that he was “friends” with!
anonymous asked:
Sero remembering very clearly all the pain that happened when his arm got cut off, maybe being a little scared of Kirishima for a few days after he first wakes up? Idk
OH YEAH THAT ONE HURTS
Like maybe.. once he’s able to respond again, he flinches and has an anxiety attack when he sees Kirishima because the sight of him just sends a flood of the memory to play in his head OOF
anonymous asked:
A personal favorite that nobody’s really thought of: a villain cuts off one finger from each of Ochako’s hands so she can’t use her quirk
OH MAN THATS BRUTAL OMG
That’s so dark!! I feel like a villain would do that should they get a hold of her and, mm maybe wanna rile up someone close to her to lure them in
meptoonzart asked:
Kirishima traitor
b R U H ID CRY MY EYES OUT IF HORI MADE HIM THE TRAITOR

I have a lot of angsty headcanons about Kaminari specifically so I’ll just spam you with those. He attracts electricity, so he often gets struck by lightning and has almost died from it twice. Kaminari knows people think he’s the traitor and it eats him up inside every day. He’s been ‘propositioned’ by quite a few creeps because he’s pretty and his quirk is, well, what it is. He has nightmares a lot and it causes power outages, he’s terrified his classmates will hate him for it.(1/?(Idk2maybe)
Sero got into a fight with someone after the sports festival, because how the hell did he make it into UA’S hero course, and Kaminari happens to be with him and he actively threatens the dude who started the fight with his quirk. No one bullies his friends. His overuse of his quirk is slowly killing him, he hasn’t told anyone that it’s destroying his brain. Bakugo reminds him of living in an abusive household but he doesn’t know how to say it so he laughs it off.(2/?(Okaymaybe4wearegettingthere)
Kirishima and Sero are the first to find out about both the frying brain and the abusive household, and Sero asks Kaminari if he wants to go try something. Kaminari says sure and Sero reserves a training ground for them, and Sero swings around with Kaminari and he hopes it works for Kami the same way it does for him. Sero is smiling because he doesn’t know what else to do, but swinging through the air helps him feel better and free. It helps. But there’s always, always the anxiety (¾)
the anxiety of ‘Maybe today is the day I fall’, but he doesn’t realize that Kaminari is helping him stay grounded. He won’t fall. Not when he gets to see Kaminari fuller of life than he’s ever been. They land on one of the buildings in ground Beta, and laugh like idiots as it starts to rain. Kaminari’s dying, Sero is a mess, and they just sit there for hours, past the end of their reservation, talking through their anxieties. Kaminari is scared to die. Sero is scared to lose him. (Okay1more4/5)
Sero promises Kaminari he’ll be there, he’ll do everything he can to help keep him alive as long as possible, and he asks Kaminari how long he has from his last estimate. Kaminari laughs, starting to cry. Six years. Sero tells the Bakusquad, and they promise him that they’ll be there when the time comes. Not villains or Dadzawa could stop them, and finally it does. For only being a hero for three years, he’s made history for kids who have terminal illnesses (ranoutofspacedammit)
And the drawbacks of quirks come more into light. Kaminari may not be a great student or hero, but he brought hope to a lot of people, and everyone will miss him. They can’t hear thunder crack without thinking of him, can’t see the golden sunrise without thinking of his smile. Can’t even bear to look at the classic lit section in a bookstore. He saved people and raised awareness, but he wrecked their hearts as well. (Somehow this turned into a near-fic I’m so sorry Hope you’re doing well(Done))
ANON OMG THANK YOU FOR THIS BASICALLY FIC IM CRYING THERES SO MUCH I DONT EVEN KNOW WHERE TO START CRYING

Heard you want some angsty headcannons- so Kaminari tends to stay up due to his quirk and he likes to stay in the dormitory lobby, so he just sits on the couch on his phone or just sits there in the dark- but this leads to him finding some secretive angsty stuff about other people in the dormitory for ex; Bakugou comes downstairs and just starts cooking cause he has terrible night terrors and Kaminari just quietly witnesses as Bakugou cries silently while he eats. (Part 1)
(Part 2) the next morning Kaminari kind of wants to try ask or comfort him but feels rude and awkward so he also kind of struggles with the knowledge of knowing that everyone in his class is a little to a lot of broken.  So yeah, sorry if it’s a little confusing- in awkward when it comes to writing what I want to write…
DUUDE THIS IS SUCH A SAD CONCEPT IF YOU WRITE IT I WILL LEGITERALLY PERISH ON SPOT

May we… suggest directly… angsty oneshots? Please feel free to ignore this if you preferred hcs
(lmao sorry, im not caught up with the manga or anime to know what the first part is referrring to :’D) but ah yeah I’ve seen that headcanon, not too sure how to feel, but it’s out there!

speaking for myself personally, I'm really peeved by just how RAPIDLY this whole turn of events happened? Nagant was a very promising character even without the last chapter that was basically just her backstory - after getting her story however, she's all of a sudden just...exploded?? LITERALLY out of nowhere - how does that even happen?? it's like whiplash. the way that I think about it, seeing this new arc animated is going to be insanely stressful to watch, not even necessarily because of What's happening, but because of How it's happening. it's just so weird. one minute we're reading Nagant and Deku having a strategic mid-air battle, then we're getting Nagant's backstory, then Deku inevitably gets the upper hand, and now she's on the brink of death?? all in the span of two or three chapters. the story has felt like this for a while tbh ; I'm not a fan of the later chapters of the war arc for this same reason. it feels like it's being rushed for some reason, SO MUCH has happened and yet barely anything has been given the chance to breathe, shit just keeps happening. and it's a shame because this could have hypothetically been the perfect in-between arc to do just that, but we're getting a huge mishmash instead.
Hi anon, this is an idea that I can get behind. I absolutely agree with what you said, and I think it is very on point. Things have been frenetic (for a lack of a better word) lately in the manga, and I read a post somewhere that right around the last turn of the PFW, HK changed editing team, which is also why HK’s schedule has been somehow hectic and the manga feel fragmented with a lot of plot twists but very little ‘content’. I do agree that on screen it might feel just dazzling to see, because Lady Nagant’s story would last around two episodes and yet her addition to the cast basically influences the entire plot in some ways and gives finally a pat on the back to the people who have been arguing that hero society is bad since the dawn of day. It’s still for scenic effect, that Lady Nagant’s death comes like a lightning in a clear sky (this is an Italian saying goes, fulmine a ciel Sereno but I cannot remember a way to express this properly in English, my apologies) and it just does not give satisfaction or anything, but rather lives with a bitter aftertaste in your mouth because it is so promising and then gets abruptly done, as it the idea has been cut just right before reaching its Zenit. It’s frustrating, at best - and plain annoying for the rest. And this is worth for the mini hospital arc, which could have been so much more explored through the lens of the students with the aftermath of the war, seeing them society change and instead we got just a brief hospital scene with Deku still in coma and then a brief reaction to the letter he left, and that’s it. It feels incomplete, and I wish HK would go back to explain it better, but I have a lot of doubts this will happen, as we are kind already too far in a time skip, and it would just feel ever worse to have a flashback, which instead could have been addressed so long ago, giving a breath from all the battle and OfA showing off, and the blatant abuse justification. It’s really a pity, but also we’d have to consider that this might actually be an in-between arc which HK is giving us before slowing the pace and introduce properly all the factors for the final battle (addressing the point I mentioned before, Toga, Bakugou and the rest of the kids after the war, Aizawa, Kurogiri, the UA Traitor). I think that BNHA is still an incredible manga, but like others, it has defects which cannot be justified (one of them being the ‘discrimination’ for female characters which has been a hot topic due to Lady Nagant’s premature fall).
Also, I am so so sorry I answered this so late, because my mobile app has been hiding/not sending notification and not showing me the ask box, and just oof, I then have forgotten that I had this post drafted and unpublished. However, I understand and share your feeling, but I do hope that in the end, this could achieve a better finale than the middle time has been. I really do. I still like the manga, and I hope that HK gives justice to some of his characters.
Thank you for the ask, and thank you for reading!
