i keep thinking about the datamined conversation between halsin and minthara and what gets me about it is that if you side with halsin and turn minthara away, thats objectively the bad choice.

like at this point, you've rescued minthara from moonrise. you know now that she was being controlled to act against her will. you've gone to the trouble of rescuing her from her tormentors, and you've experienced what it felt like as they tried to destroy her mind. you know what will happen to her if you turn her away. and if you do, you're willingly condemning her to that fate. you've essentially allowed her to experience freedom, to regain her sense of self, only to tear that away from her again.

whereas if you side with minthara, and halsin leaves, that's the only consequence he experiences. that he's not a companion anymore. at this point, we've saved the grove, we've saved him, and we've lifted the shadow curse. we've helped him achieve what hes been hoping to do for over a century. leaving your party won't see him lose his free will. he can return to the grove and live his life.

the choice is essentially either condemn someone to a fate worse than death, knowing exactly what that entails vs not letting someone travel with you anymore. its pretty clear cut to me.

its just interesting to me that they've switched the morality of it around given that minthara is considered the 'evil' companion by so many.

I can see him trying to keep calm. I'm happy he didn't run screaming from my apartment. I did not plan on asking him as soon as he returned but the way he held me in his arm & said he missed me while he was away. suspicious partner. my first kdrama (I think) and one of my absolute faves. great chemistry, mystery and overall a nice pace.

100 days my prince. a historical drama, with lots of comedic moments. Nam Ji Hyun has to deal with an amnesiac male lead.

Shopping King Louie. wholesome drama with two characters who are THE purest beans. Nam Ji Hyun has to deal with an amnesiac male lead (again).

fight for my way. friends to lovers. the end. (also, both are poor which is a pleasant surprise).

hometown cha-cha-cha. one of the episodes will tear your heart into pieces but you wont mind cause this is such a feel good drama, you will fall in love with every single character. also, Kim Seon Ho is a theater actor and you'll def notice that. my man desrved an oscar, an emmy AND a grammy (no, he doesnt sing but he deserved it).

doom at your service. more mature drama, lots of heartache, amazing performances and a motherfucking kiss you'll never forget.

business proposal. you'll fall in love with both couples, like you don't even have a choice. funny af.

But RWBY manages to stay consistent. DC? Where do we even begin on their retcons.

Look, if you wanna whine and complain, that's fine. But at the end of the day, Monty , Miles, Kerry? At least their work is forever in progress.

Rwby has consistency? Yeah its consistently disappointing and dogshit. Trust me I know all about DC's retcons, bad stories, nonsensical decisions that the writers make that make the characters worse. Wanna know the difference between RWBY and DC? Rwby has had only a few interpretations, the main canon, the crossover, ice queendom, the books, the antholgy manga, a few comics (some being dc crossovers again), and rwby chibi. And half of those can even be considered pseudo canon. With DC? They have had DECADES of comics, movies, cartoons, TV shows, and all sorts of different adoptions. Because DC is bigger they can have alot of bad, but SOOOO MUCH more good.

Next up, dont bring Monty into this. I wont discredit his work and im not gonna say "this wasnt how he wanted rwby" or anything like this. Let the guy be. This is specifically going towards Miles and Kerry, I wanna have faith they're good people, twitter says otherwise for Miles. I know they can make some decent writing, early rwby, camp camp, they even wrote some of RVB. They haven't made anything good nowadays which is why im mad, I know they can write but keep fucking up!

And if your gonna say all I do is whine and complain maybe you should remember that your complaining about the opinion of some random guy on the internet. But hey you arent completely whining your giving a passive aggressive anonymous ask.

Thoughts and observations of the Angelic Demon's event.

Things I've noticed about the super demon bros being under the bangle's spell:

- Lucifer is very shaken by what he perceives was his willingness to take advantage(?) of MC's trust in him. His actions in his bedroom did piss me off, I imagine that to players who don't like him, it could've been even less amusing lol.

And then not being able to bear being seen after the bangles take effect. (So not only is he Humble and apologises right away, he also feels Shame, both could be interpreted as opposites of Pride)

- I was asuming they were just gonna gloss over the fact that Satan was never an angel before. But he does mention it! Yay!

- Lucifer and Leviathan mention specifically not doing things MC doesn't want them to do/would not like.

- Leviathan, Satan, and Mammon mention being able to tell MC how they feel with honesty/freely.

- There's emphasis in Beel wanting not only to share food, but he himself not eating any as well. The self sacrifice feels kind of silly in a context where there is definitely enough for everybody? There is no shortage. But he's a celestial being so it probably wont do anything to him. Regardless, me monkey human brain keeps yelling at him to eat too. The rest didn't feel out of his usual demon self, he has mentioned cooking for others casually before. And taking their tastes into account.

- Belphegor and Asmodeus mention doing sneaky/underhanded things as demons to keep MC to themselves.

- Asmo mentions MC deciding for themselves who they want to be with. Implying they won't keep trying to sway their decision? I think? (sorry, poly people, that one could've felt awkward)

- Leviathan, Belphegor, Asmodeus and Mammon express regret or apologize for the way they were before the bangles took effect.

- Leviathan, Belphegor, and Mammon mention wanting to have a better relationship with their brothers, besides MC.

These things caught my attention.

bakugou was scared because he knew how rough he was around the edges, if he was even fit to be in nice relationship

sero is a very chill man so your attraction to him was a little unexpected 

but you admire him a lot for a lot of things that he does !

u keep ur attraction to him on the down low though 

it felt a little one sided for a while

you two barely interacted and he didnt even look at you most of the time 

but your relationship with him took a sudden turn and u two became close friends !

you two bonded over mangas that you both read, occasionally spending time in his room to read the latest releases together !

i would normally agree with you but this time jump feels like a fresh start and like a much needed breeze of fresh air yk. altho i'm still anxious, cuz jr kept saying all the characters will change.. and like dude, i don't want them to change i love them who they are and i'm just sad cuz they won't be the same characters anymore and yet i'm still optimistic cuz like i said a fresh start for many of them and for the show. to summarize this mess: i'm conflicted about the time jump lol

2 parts in your ask so i’ll answer both of them!

that’s the thing. and that’s why i call it shitty writing because the writers created a story and couldnt go with it until the end so they needed a “fresh start”: basically they can change whatever they want during those 6 years with the only reason being “it’s been six years”. they could kill off characters just saying “they died”, they could introduced magic/vampires/werewolfs just saying “the radiation made this magic and 6 years evolution created vampires/werewolfs” (i know they wont but they could, they could think of anything and find a good reason in the fact that it’s been 6 years) and it gets me to the second part of your ask:

e x a c t l y. i love most of the characters of the show! i dont want them to change and become something completely different without me witnessing it. it’s not character developtment if the viewers are not part of it. it was interesting to see bellamy change from the asshole early s1 to this awesome character he become, it was interesting to hate murphy s1 but being surprised to see him again in s2 as the funny guy and finally growing to love him more and more as he open himself to another person etc, it was interesting to see clarke’s journey, how much she had trouble dealing with what she has to do and the consequences of her actions, it was interesting to see how monty, the sweet cute guy in s1, had to face horrible decisions, how he became a true hero to the story, saving a lot of lifes multiples times… and i could go on for a lot of other characters… But like… we got to see this. I’m not against my fav characters evolving/changing/becoming different. Not at all! But I want to understand why, I want to witness it, I want to see them grow. And I fear the flashbacks wont be enough to show that. The 100 has a too-fast pace, it focus heavily on plot and sometimes forget about its characters’ state-of-minds (not always thank god but not enough for me at least) + we dont know yet how many ep there will be in s5 but it’ll be 16 max and with the big plot they always come up with there isnt enough time to truly set the characters’ minds dealing with new shit after 6 years, they wont have enough time to explain how they evolve truly.

so i see two options for s5 and the characters: either the characters are basically the same and the writers are not dealing with the 6 years of evident change the characters must have endure or the characters are super different and i wont love them as much as i do now. but maybe the writers will surprise me (i’ve always been torned between “i think they’re good writers” and “i think they’re so shitty”) and we’ll get to see the characters we love at core with a new perspective, a new pov on things etc…

So I get why you’re conflicted with the time jump, i’m not because i just hate the concept of time jump especially in this show because its deals with super heavy plots. We can cross out fingers and hope the writers wont shit everything! (but i only trust them like 30% so…)
