I wonder how everyone would react if they ever did find out what Edgar did to corrupt Oogie.

YEAH!!! They clearly look up to Edgar, since they were disappointed to hear he was passing on the Pumpkin King title. Did they know about his (darker) intentions with his rule over Halloween town? How would have things went down if the Residents learned he was trying to fix the contest in favor of Oogie? It was awful, and I'm kind of disappointed his true colors were never revealed to anyone, even Jack.

I guess Oogie will be the only one who ever knew what the previous Pumpkin King was truly like...
