Let's have a party
There's a full moon in the sky
It's the hour of the wolf
And I don't want to die
I'm so happy
Dancin' while the grim reaper
Cuts, cuts, cuts
But he can't get me!
I'm as clever as can be
And I'm very quick, but don't forget:
We've only got so many tricks!
NO ONE LIVES FOREVER!

I should add poledancing to the list of odd talents that Akira has but has no business having due to growing up in a small suburban town. I only had access to it bc i had a YMCA that had a MASSIVE gym (in a criminally underfunded part of the city); there were poles put up alongside some other structures to allow counselors to make up some shit for us to do lmao
Hes got a flair about him; speaking from experience, it is FUN to do gymnastic shit like that, and its really really REALLY good for ur core. Other things on the list are basic gymnastics (he hates that shit tho, the classes he took sucked ass), Parkour (loves this; less about running and more about utilizing ur core and bracing for falls), and Knife Flipping/Spinning. Theyre all odd things that coincidentally ended up being VERY good experience for the metaverse :) YEAH the metaverse makes it easier to pull off tricks, but he already knew how to do all those things; you cant get Ryuji or Yusuke to spin kick off a pole wo having them fall and bust their ass- Its ALL skill babey

one one hand, I kinda see why all the other classes would make their jack ace and al jeannes their class leader. like, if you were a univeil student, I can see the student logic of going, "yeah this guy knows how to put on a good performance, let's make him the leader!"
but in hindsight... that's such a bad decision?? like, imagine as the lead performer, you have to be in charge of both the performance and the class. that's too much responsibility! instead of focusing on delivering on stage, you now have to split your attention with everyone else's roles. not even takarazuka does this. the top star and kumichou are usually not the same person. so I would assume that's also how the tamasaka troupe works. univeil students what are you doing lmao
I think one of the reasons why quartz works is because neji isn't the lead performer. he writes, he directs, he acts, he dances, he sings, but he's not the main lead. by taking on responsibility for the backstage work (except for props/tech/etc.), fumi/kai/kisa/whoever can focus on their own craft as performers.
like. how is kaido leading onyx while also being the jack ace? how is he getting and working on feedback? I could say the same for tsukasa, but at least tsukasa has minorikawa doing a lot of the heavy lifting. amber is kind of a special case, I guess, because they all want chui to be the stage. but honestly if chui was a better leader, amber wouldn't have to be this way lmao. like, chui is great but he's holding amber back, sorry to say. they could do so much more than this
(hm I guess the teachers in other classes are more hands-on and provide more guidance and support than enishi, so they can get away with lead performers being class leaders)
I was thinking about this because I was imagining what kisa's year two in univeil would be like. the next class leaders are gonna be mitsuki, sugachi, and minorikawa, right? and all three of them tend to step back to let other people shine or to play support, so I actually think they're very logical choices for the next class leaders. plus that would probably be the year chui would try to like. make friends and human connections. so I'm just imagining that year two would be quite healing for univeil, especially since in year one they are all still kinda hung up on tsuki being univeil's treasure. you can have other treasures!! love tsuki, but he isn't the only golden boy here!!

Jily Microfic - Prompt: Red
@jilymicrofics - Word Count: 270 - Genre: Fluff, Modern AU
“James.” Lily’s voice was a mix of humorless deadpan and amused astonishment as she stared at the computer screen.
“Hm?” He looked at her, arm around her shoulders, with such a genuinely innocent expression that she almost felt guilty for teasing him.
“You did not honestly put a song from Red (Taylor’s Version) on our list of possible wedding songs.”
He sat up, turning to look at her incredulously. “What is wrong with Red (Taylor’s Version)?! That album is a masterpiece!”
She couldn’t help laughing as she sat up and put the laptop aside. “I mean, I guess I won’t argue with you there, but…for our wedding song?”
“Have you heard the lyrics to Run?”
“Well…no,” she confessed. “But can you imagine how much the boys would tease you if we picked a Taylor Swift song for our first dance?”
James scoffed. “Please, 22 is one of Sirius’s favorite songs to dance to. The Marauders are Swifties through and through, Lils. Now look up the lyrics to Run so I can see your ‘well-maybe-I-was-wrong’ face.”
She smirked and rolled her eyes, but obliged.
Her skepticism slipped from her expression line by line, and she fully lost her conviction at the bridge. “James…” she mumbled, looking up from the lyrics page to meet his eyes. He wasn’t smirking as she’d expected, but smiling at her lovingly.
“Told you so.”
“Oh, shut up.” And she reached up to pull him in.
There’s been this hole in my heart
This thing was a shot in the dark
Say you’ll never let them tear us apart
And I’ll hold onto you while we run

i dont miss clubs, i miss being side by side with titan-sized stereos that could make the bones in my body vibrate and just dance for hours and hours and hours without stopping to the point where the druggies would ask me what did I take when I was literally running just on beer

the reasons for this, ftr, are:
1) in general dany and tyrion are usually my fave pov chapters to read in any of the books
2) the dorne stuff and faegon stuff is more interesting than the mess that is the rest of westeros sorry not sorry
3) i generally find the stuff with non-westerosi cities etc more interesting than westeros itself

I know I JUST apologized for the Yokoyamaposting, but as Anon wishes, other favorite moments:
Mineposting at 5am just like me frfr
He had a dream where he "danced wildly" with Hijikata (I believe this is in reference to Wild Dancer, but incredibly funny mental image). He says "It's terminal... (T . T)"
Apparently, one-third of the applicants to the hostess auditions were men, because the guidelines don't specify any particular gender. So a GNC man made it to the first live audition (although unfortunately wasn't a finalist), and Yokoyama said if he were a real hostess, he'd request him. He notably did not say anything like that even to the actual hostesses who auditioned
He's talked about being excited to read BL manga, and his "favorite manga character of all time" is OG Depraved Bisexual Tokai from Sanctuary (having picked it up it's really obvious which characters Tokai inspired, but the most obvious one right off the bat is that Ishioda looks exactly like him lol)
He has apparently "consulted the fujoshi(?) [question mark his] on the team" about eyebrow-raising scenes, and was met with "a barrage of surprising answers." He said it's not intentional on his part, but he figures he shouldn't try and make it intentional, since the more he tries the more he feels he's missing the mark. So he has tried...?
there's a lot to unpack here but i think my favorite bits of these is having 'honorary fujoshis' in office to ask about the Suspect scenes in your game

aalis and alice are so fascinating to me. especially because aalis was originally an amara clone. look at them they're falling apart (one physically, one mentally) and yet. they sit on the floor. and help pick up each others pieces.
