I get very weirdly emotional when i see the cat using the new cat trees we got him. he loves them so much and it makes me happy bc the old one was a bit small (he still used it but not as much) but he loves the big one... he lays on the platform and sometimes even in the lil house, he sits like a fucking lunatic on the smaller one by the side window. He's got more animal enrichment and he fuckin' DESERVES IT!!!!!

i think kylar obsessing over starting a pack with you is 100% accurate. he'd get so emotional and sappy over everything. probably cries with happiness after you let him knot you for the first time, just because he's thinking about the litter you'll have (yes. he refers to ur babies as a litter/pups. even if he's the one without the tf. sobbing.)

kirishima woke up from his afternoon nap with his mini-me in his arms!

at first, he was really confused as to why there was an 8 yr old boy with spiky teeth and (your hair texture) black hair on his bed

then the little boy bit his nose and grinned like he had done the funniest thing in the world 

“WAKE UP DADDY! WE GOTTA GET SWOL TODAY”

did he get hit with some duplication quirk?

kirishima is wide awake now, but before he can ask the kid what’s going on, the boy is up and making use of his punching bag

he decides it wouldn't hurt to get a morning work out in, so he decides to humor the kid

after a mini workout, kirishima is in near tears as the boy tries to flex the little muscles he has 

eventually, he gets the kid to tell him what happened and finds out he was hit with a time travel quirk of some sort

instead of being weirded out, kirishima is ESCTATIC 

he has a family in the future 

he’s so excited and proud that he just has to show his son off to his friends!

the first thing he does is go and bother bakusquad in the common room

he’s bragging like shit to them and his ego swells as they all swoon over how cute and handsome the kid is 

you and bakugo come out of the kitchen to see what all the commotion is about and the little boy excitedly runs to you and jumps into your arms 

“momma! you’re here! you’re so pretty! why’d you marry daddy when he looks so unswol?”

it’s silent before bakugo fucking dies of laughter 

“y-you finally let shitty hair hit it? and got knocked up?? LMAO”

everyone’s dying and kirishima wants to die

tamaki wasn't the bravest person ever 

and he knew his crippling anxiety got in the way of a lot

but he had never been more proud of himself for managing to invite you to his room

it was supposed to be a study date

despite how bold you normally were, he took comfort in how nervous you seemed 

now, you two were leaning in, about to kiss

and then a voice from behind interrupts 

“uh, am i interrupting something?”

you two let out the ugliest squeal and jump 50 feet away from each other 

you’re all over the place, trying to explain the situation

tamaki’s heart is barely beating at this point

it takes the kid, who looks about 16, about thirty minutes to calm you down and revive tamaki

explains that he’s from the future and a descendant of tamaki’s family

decides to leave out that you two are his parents so he doesn't risk possibly erasing himself from the space continuum 

that would be bad

despite how surprised you two were, you two take it rather well 

you three spend the day together bc you and tamaki feel this weird sense of responsibility for the guy even though he’s only two years younger

the boy is trying his hardest not to expose himself, but it’s so hard

you two are asking him everything from his favorite food to if he has any siblings

he’s good at pretending that he’s cool, calm, and collected, but he wants nothing more than to jump into his parents’ arms and cry about how scared he is of messing up

but he won’t 

bc he’s a strong boy

but he slips up

“how far are you down the future?” tamaki asks

“uh, about like 100 years or so--”

“you’re lying”

the kid nearly chokes on his food as his father blinks at him

you try and scold tamaki but he continues

“i don’t mean to be mean, but your nose twitches when you lie. y/n does the same thing”

that’s when the jazz record stops and everyone is staring at one another

“....wait”

this time, you nearly pass out

y’all had a kid together???

THE HELL??

the boy, coincidentally, starts fading and he thinks he fucked up

now he’s full out sobbing into the both of your chests, scared that he’s disappearing

despite the news, you and tamaki calm down, look at each other, and hold your son

“don’t you worry, baby” you coo, kissing his fading hair

“i have a feeling we’ll see you quite soon” tamaki comforts, closing his eyes

Bakugo Katsuki:

bakugo finally understood when his mom said

“the meaner you are to your parents, the nastier your kids will be to you”

he regretted being such a demon bc his kid was literally the spawn of satan

katsuki didn’t need an explanation to know that that...thing was his kid

he looked damn near identical to him with features that he couldn't quite place

but anyways, that wasn't the focus rn

rn, he was trying to figure out a way to keep that animal caged

as soon as katsuki took his eyes off him, the six yr old ran out the door as fast as his little legs could carry him

“catch me if you can, you old bastard!”

yup, it was his kid

“GET BACK HERE YOU LITTLE FUCKER”

his son is blasting his way through the halls, skillfully evading Katsuki’s grabbing hands 

he’s wildly laughing as he flips and turns through the doors, watching with glee as his father falls on his face

the small boy latches on to a cupboard and smirks

katsuki nearly looks like the devil, eyes white, and face red with fury

his pride suffering by the second

he’s about to cuss the kids to hell when you come out of the kitchen, confused

you were about to ask why katsuki looked like a rat with rabies before you caught sight of a basket of fruit teetering on the edge of the cabinet, above the little boy’s head

“look out--”

the basket falls on the kid’s head and he’s on the floor, reeling from the hit

katsuki would've normally laughed his ass off, but he felt kind of...concerned?

he watches you run towards the child who’s trying his hardest not to cry

the boy holds his head, fat tears in his eyes as you pick him up and coddle over him 

“i’m sorry, baby. I'm sorry i didnt get there in time” 

cue the waterworks 

the boy is full-on sobbing into your chest about how his head hurts

you bounce him and kiss his forehead as katsuki checks over the red bump

Every school he’s attended prior to Broadripple was just a stepping stone as far as he’s concerned.

11. What house are they in? Do they care very much about their house?

Fenwick. And abso-freakin’-lutely. He treats the house like he’s their dad and often refers to its members as his ‘Fenwick family’. He tends to go out of his way to befriend and develop close bonds with them, whether or not it seems like they’ll get along. Damian fully believes that the best kind of leadership is respect-based, so he’s relentlessly proactive -- always trying to take care of and encourage his Fenwickians with the hope that all of his hard work and toil will pay off in the long run. He 100% intends on winning the Clary Cup and getting his name engraved on the Clary shield before graduation so it’s important to him that his ship is always tight and out of trouble. #fenwickpride

12. Who do they share a dorm with, or are they on their own for the moment? What are they like to live with? Are they clean or messy? Early risers or night owls?

Damian shares a dorm with Connor Roberts, who he decided he quite likes so he’s been making an effort to develop a friendship with him. Damian likes to consider himself a very good roommate -- an ideal roommate even. He’s always mindful that his side of the room is tidy, with everything in its place and that his bed is always made when he’s not sleeping in it. He sleeps early and rises early. Since the start of November, he’s been a little restless for obvious reasons so he’s gotten a bit... nitpicky. If he sees something of Conny’s that’s on the floor or seems out of place and Conny’s not there, he’ll pick it up and put it where he thinks it belongs. He’ll also like, fluff a pillow if he thinks it looks a little flat, smoothens out the sheets if it looks a lil creased. You could leave your books open to random pages all over your bed and leave, and when you come back, they’re all neatly stacked on your desk and bookmarked and Damian’s just like :) I hope you don’t mind. You might have wanted to rest on your bed upon return so I took the liberty of tidying up for you. He’s just a little more intense than usual since Izzy’s disappearance.

13. How is your character’s dorm decorated? Is it bare or bursting at the seems with personality? Any particular sentimental items from home?

It’s very classic and masculine. All of his desk accessories are matching and made of tan leather and accented with brass. His mattress is fitted with fancy white Hotel™ bedding but his duvet is deep red because #fenwickpride. There’s a large monthly planner that adorns the wall that his bed is pushed against so he can review what’s in store for him tomorrow/for the week before he falls asleep. A bi-fold picture frame sits on his desk. One half holds a photo of him, his sister, and their parents. (Where is Joseph? We just don’t know.) The other half holds a photo of the 3 Fitzgerald beagles looking cute as hell bc obvi. Everything clearly has its place except these 3 photos that are stuck to the wall in front of Damian’s desk with tape (gasp!). One of the God Squad being pure having a picnic somewhere, one of Alpha being cute just because, and one of him and Eliza that he took that she doesn’t like because her face is in it and she’s laughing and that obviously isn’t allowed but like it’s Damian’s favorite so sucks 2 suck.

14. What is their favourite subject at school? Do they even have a favourite? Why?

Of all of the classes he’s taking right now, Damian’s favorite is World Culture. He likes learning about other cultures and ways of life; he thinks it’s interesting.

15. Are they involved in any clubs? Which ones?

He’s been a member of the Buddy Club since his second half of his Freshman year. He’s Vice President of the Student Weekend Activities Team. He’s also the secretary for the Student Council.

16. How does your character feel about Broadripple’s Unofficial Clubs? Do they know about them? Are they a part of any of them?

Damian thinks the Broadripple Boys Club is childish and in poor taste. He avoids associating with them if he can help it but he’s civil with them for the most part even if he thinks they need new hobbies other than destroying property, lives, and their livers.

He’s a member of the Unofficial Chastity Club because celibacy is important and you should always leave room for Jesus. 👀 (It's also a very good reminder that he shouldn’t listen to his hormonal teen body no matter how incessant.)

He doesn’t know about Broadripple Unsolved but if he did, he’d think it was a waste of time.

17. Does your character participate in any sports? If so, what made them join the team?

Damian is Swim captain and a member of the Cross Country team. 

The Fitzgeralds think it’s important that their children grow up involved in at least one sport because the physical/social/mental benefits are far too great. Swimming just happened to be what Damian naturally gravitated toward and was best at, so it was no-brainer that it’s the team that he wanted to join upon arrival four years ago. (It may have also been about wanting to assert dominance since he’s been swimming competitively and kicking ass since the age of 8.)

As for Cross Country, Damian’s parents have always encouraged a healthy lifestyle. They’re the type of parents that jog in the morning and make the family run a 5K every year. It was familiar. He also just wanted to be able to workout and not worry about becoming a prune.

18. What afternoon activities does your character do? Do they just do the one mandatory one or are they involved in multiple? Why?

Damian is an animal shelter volunteer. He’s a big dog lover and he cares a lot about the city’s furry friends so it was the obvious choice. He’d honestly do more than one if he had the time -- he was a nursing home volunteer during his Junior year and he loved it -- but considering his involvement in literally everything else, he decided to stick with just one.

19. Do they miss their home when they’re at Broadripple? Do they often go home for the weekends or do they only go home during holiday breaks?

Funnily enough, not really. Damian isn’t the type of person to miss places. The person he would miss the most from home is his sister, Eliza, and since she attends Broadripple with him so he doesn’t really ‘miss home’. He does go home every weekend though unless there’s a SWAT outing planned because he misses his dogs and his parents think it’s nice if the family sits and has a meal together at least once a week. Also often, there’s a schmancy event the Fitzgerald kids need to show up at so their parents can boast of their achievements and show off what good parents they are, so :)))

20. Did your character know Izzy De Santis or Maggie Monroe?

Yes. They were all part of the same Bible-loving group of buddies that the Weekend Warriors cleverly dubbed the God Squad. Izzy was also Damian’s best friend and right-hand man, so he’s terribly saddened by the sudden hole the Melleray Senior left in his life. And while he wasn’t as close with Maggie, Damian does feel quite disturbed by her sudden departure as well. He just finds it rather difficult to keep in mind that her disappearance is just as important as Izzy’s when Maggie wasn’t the one who spotted Damian at the gym every other day.

21. Has your character heard of Edith Lynch? Do they know the story?

Yes and yes. It was a topic of conversation at the dinner table once and never again because his parents think it’s that ridiculous that people have made it some ~haunting tale. His parents, having both attended Broadripple, described it as a ‘terrible mishap that people have blown out of proportion’ and that’s exactly how Damian chooses to describe it if he hears anyone speak of it and need his two cents on the matter.

22. How does your character feel about Nighmore? Have they noticed the recently closed shops yet?

To Damian, Nighmore is just your everyday quaint little town. He doesn’t see anything wrong with the fact that they’re all very friendly and always willing to engage in a bit of conversation. He just thinks it’s good manners. He would even go as far as to say the rest of America needs to be a little more like Nighmore. 

Yes, he’s noticed they’ve closed down. Though, he’s more bothered by The Kettle being closed than Hill’s Wholefoods. He was a really big fan of their lattes so it’s a bit disappointing to him that he can’t enjoy that product anymore. He quickly got over it though and hasn’t paid much of a visit to Nighmore since then.

hello all ! it’s eri once again with another muse bc we just can’t get enough. anyway, please excuse how shitty this intro is going to be bc i am lacking sleep.

ok to start off, her parents are loaded so she’s very wealthy. original from la, her father was a well-known producer and her mother a stay at home mom. long story short, their marriage was a far cry from a happily ever after. growing up watching their parents fall apart, elodie and her brother latched onto each other and he remained her wall. it was painfully obvious however that their father favored the other, whether it be because he was the only son, or how musically and theatrically inclined he was... and she found herself thrown off to the side much like her mother, except a lot stricter rules set in place that she found herself easily breaking. curfew? forget it. no boys? she was sneaking them in all too often.... but even more easily having her girl “friends” over for sleepovers with no questions asked. she began resenting her father early on and it only grew the more rules, until finally she threw all caution to the wind and fell off the expected monet route.

by 15 she was known as the party girl. she did her school work most of the time, kept good enough grades to keep her parents off at least that aspect of her life. going out every weekend, never coming home on time or just refusing to answer her phone. she was a hellion, with no cares in the world, and she simply lived with no worries and absolutely no care or respect toward her parent's wishes. they virtually gave up on controlling their daughter by the time she was 17, clearly making her own choices and took no bother in chastising her as they knew their efforts would get them nowhere.

despite the dysfunction of the family, they did vacation to stone harbor every summer which had become some of elodie’s favorite memories of her younger years ( i would love any plot referencing her coming back every year and what not ok )

at 18 she had a choice. college, or follow her heart. new york was calling, as much fun as she had in la... it just wasn’t quite it. and new york was so exciting. the following summer she found herself back in stone harbor, unable to resist the tradition but instead opting to stay the summer..... except she never left. with all the fond memories she held in the place, and finally being far away from her family, she felt like she’d found herself. or at least the closest to home she’d ever had.

we gonna skip ahead to her getting pregnant three years ago, which is something she told no one (not even the potential father). the day she found out she was packing her bags and leaving stone harbor with no word, instead of leaving a note for her roommate ( plot wanted ) at the time, and sending out a group text explaining she had decided to go to rehab. it seemed like a good excuse, not a complete lie considering she did not touch any alcohol or substance during her pregnancy. she instead went and stayed with her aunt and uncle in london.

she went back and forth on what she wanted to do, spending her days swaying back and forth between keeping the baby and starting a fresh life or putting it up for adoption. but after a particularly painful depressive episode, she decided for the safety of both of them she had to give her baby girl up. this is when her aunt and uncle said they would take the baby in, not wanting to separate family, and it is a secret she’s kept in to this day.

coming back from rehab, she had changed. at first cold, extremely depressed, and she wanted to stay away from her prior addictions but within a few weeks she was right back into it. drinking nearly daily, taking whatever pills or drugs were offered, although she was much more cautious when it came to sex. becoming quite a bit pickier when it comes to men, however her love for women only seemed to grow.. likely due to the fact she could not get pregnant that way.

she’s had her ups and downs, about six months ago she came back from a few months at rehab once again after an especially harsh bender that landed her in the hospital. sobriety has continuously and still continues to be a struggle for her. she swore up and down that she wanted the help after begging her parents to pay ( not wanting to dip into her own hefty inheritance ) for her to go back, although within a month she found herself dabbling in other substances, occasionally taking a little too many of her medications at once, and having a drink, or two, or three....

while she was staying with her aunt in france, she spent a lot of time cooking with the elder woman and it became the most therapeutic thing to her... at least without getting high.. it’s become one of the only things that can genuinely distract her, although she does become a master chef when you add a little pot to the mix, but she hardly counts that against sobriety anyway.

personality-wise elodie doesn’t really hold back her opinion, and although she won’t go out of her way to avoid stepping on toes, she will try to make things as least confrontational as possible. in her opinion, life has shoved her around enough and she prefers to not allow anyone the excuse to do it too. but........ in those cases she will probably show her temper and make sure people know she isn’t going to be walked all over. she’s very upbeat, tries her hardest to be excited for life each day ( or pops an extra xanny if it’s a particularly hard day ). however.. her bad days are bad. if she’s down enough its nearly impossible to get her out of bed for anything other than a shower. some are harder than others, especially nearing the birthdate of her daughter delaney ( 2 currently ). 

a few more facts bc this is long uh: she writes a letter every day to her daughter and saves it in a special box kept secret in her room. she dabbles in poems and other types of prose, and has a goal of one day writing and illustrating her own childrens book in dedication to her daughter. she has a lot of money and could technically afford to not work, however she took a bartending job at sex and the titty for side cash and to send a monthly check to help support her daughter. and laaaaastly, she is kind of a hopeless romantic and loves romcoms way too much. she is 100% the type that believes very strongly in love but just ... sucks at it. she’s scared to commit herself but she’s also not afraid to shout from the rooftops ??? rn she’s trying to work on herself so

The Day He Died (pt 2)

--> the last one got cut off bc we love 100 paragraphs limit so we'll just continue off where we left off.

"My father- is he okay? Where is he?"

Grace's smile faded. Sympathy etched her eyes.

"Your father did not make it, but you protected your friend."

Emotion swelled up and a sob escaped from your mouth. It was ugly and loud and you clamped a hand over your mouth as tears poured from your eyes.

Grace rubbed a hand over your arm, trying to sooth you.

It was later in the afternoon that you heard a knock on your door. You had been crying for hours, but it finally felt like there were no more tears left in your body.

The door slowly opened and the timid boy, Ben, from the party peeked in.

He wasn't wearing his mask, but when he entered the room you could see he was still wearing the uniform.

"Hey... I just wanted to check on you.." His voice was almost like a whisper. He stood awkwardly next to the door, his hands held behind his back.

He looked around the room, his nervousness nearly palpable.

"I, uh, brought you something?"

You looked up at him and gently smiled. After all, your whole childhood was meant to be the perfect little girl your parents had raised you to be. If someone felt uncomfortable around you, you were doing something wrong. So, you invited him to sit on the bed with you.

He perched nervously on the edge of the mattress and held out a store bag to you.

"Oh, you didn't have to, Ben."

He raised his eyebrows. "You remember my name?"

"Of course I do."

He seemed touched by this. You assumed he must've been neglected as a child. Living with four other kids could do that.

You grabbed the bag and opened it. You picked up a small white box, and inside the box was a silver chain with a small blue pendant hanging from it.

"It's beautiful."

He gave you a weak smile, but he seemed happy by your gratitude.

You both sat in silence for a bit, but a question pressed at you.

"What happened? At the party."

He scratched the back of his neck.

"Ben..?

He glanced over at you, and then the door. Finally he spoke up.

"Some guys with guns came in. They shot the Vice President. And you."

"What happened after that?"

He cleared his throat and shifted on the bed.

"My brothers and sister and I, we fought them off." He looked over at you, then down at your stomach, where the blankets hid the bandages that were probably still soaked in blood.

"You killed someone."

Your face felt like someone threw cold water on it.

"I- what?"

"You killed someone. He stood over you and you just stared at him and- I don't know how to describe it. The blood on the floor- it moved towards you, like-like a vacuum was sucking it back towards you. And then he just started shaking, then he got a nose bleed and fell down." He spoke frantically.

What did you do? You put your head in your hands.

"I- I killed someone? I'm a monster..."

Ben's hands grabbed yours and suddenly he was staring intensely at you.

"No. You are nothing of the sort. You defended yourself."

"Ah, Miss Y/L/N. You are awake."

Ben jumped off the bed and stood at attention, like a soldier would. Sir Hargreeves walked into the room. His shoes clicked off the floor and his back stood very straight.

Everything about him freaked you out.

"Hello Sir Hargreeves." You kept the sentence very curt. You wanted him to leave.

"I hope Grace and Ben have attended to you dutifully. A politician's daughter deserves the best."

The mention of your father sent a pang of pain through your nerves, enticing tears to creep into your eyes, but you held it together.

"Due to the unfortunate events of last evening, you have been enrolled in the Umbrella Academy. When you are healed, you will begin training at once. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. Studies are from 9 o'clock to 3 o'clock. You may observe my other children's training at 4 o'clock. Dinner is at 7 p.m. You will find your uniforms in the closet. Rest well now."

Hargreeves turned his back to you and began to walk out of the room.

"Wait!" You called out to him.

He turned on his heel and he looked annoyed.

'My mother, what happened to her?"

He smirked a bit. "She felt that you would be better suited at the Academy and has found herself unable to attend to a child."

He walked out without another word.

That was the day you began to feel hate. Hate for Reginald. Hate for your mother. Hate for yourself.

Now, over a decade later, you returned to the house you despised, to celebrate the death of the man you despised. You were Number 8. You could control blood. And you were ecstatic that Reginald's blood no longer flowed.

The reunion was bittersweet. You all sat around the kitchen table, listening to each other's stories. Allison became a pop star with a decaying marriage, but reading about her in the magazines always interested you. Oh how her reality seemed like a dream. Probably because it was. You hadn't spoken to Luther since you left the house. Apparently he went to the moon- which he wouldn't shut the fuck up about it. Poor Daddy's Boy was perturbed by Reginald's death. It was probably wise he didn't know you were happy about it. He seemed all too excited to blame one of his siblings for the death. Diego wore this leather superhero costume. You observed him. You guessed growing up a superhero didn't easily wash away from someone. The whole vigilante thing did scare you, as Diego's safety was always a concern for you. Giving knives to a small child wasn't a smart idea of Reginald's, so that seemed to have some lasting effects to Diego's recklessness. Klaus's drug addiction took over his life. You watched him stumble into the house, obviously high, and a hospital bracelet circled his wrist. He looked tired, his eyes dark and sunken, yet his energetic self drew attention away from his own mess. It was probably for the best that he wasn't in a state to contact Reginald. Vanya was the last to show up. Growing up, she was always very quiet and pushed to the side. She still acted like that, like a victim. You tried being friends with her as a kid, but she always seemed intimidated by you, maybe even jealous. Being a politicians daughter though, you learned not to bother yourself with people who were not constantly in the lime light, and so, you never had a relationship with Vanya. You quietly watched the messed up kids you grew up with sit around the lounge. You kept separate. You never felt like you fit in, not the way Vanya did, but because you didn't want to. They all accepted the life they were drawn into by Reginald, but you despised it. This wasn't your life, and it never would be.

You grew up to become a politician, like your father. You advocated women's rights, children's rights, and adoption rights. You traveled the world, met world leaders, and rose through the ranks rapidly.

How you did it? Well, your father raised you right, but so did Reginald.

Like the Academy, you learned how to fight, but instead of becoming a superhero, well, you became a villain. And no, you weren't the "I want to take over the world" villain, you had a goal, and you were going to accomplish that goal by any means necessary. You've drained the blood out of dictators of third world countries. You've seen the blood flow from the eyes of abusive parents. You've had political dinners end with corrupt politicians, face down in their soup with blood dripping from the table cloths to stop all out nuclear war. You were the best of the best. And yes, you were technically a bad guy, but you were damn good at it.

And that's how Reginald died.

It was two days ago, you were in the city in which your step-"father" lived, and you wanted to visit Grace, the robotic woman who was more motherly than your own mother. You had walked through the mahogany double doors and were greeted by Grace's warm embrace.

"Sir Reginald isn't in right now, but please stay for tea or coffee or whatever you like." She had patted your head and led you into the kitchen. She learned when you first joined the family that you had no intention of calling Reginald your father, and she respected that, which made you love her more.

She had made you tea and sat with you, listening to the March rain patter against the windows. Her presence relaxed you and made you forget about the bloody lifestyle you lived. After some light conversation about your job, Allison's front page scandals, and whatever small talk you could think of, you eventually found yourself wandering the house.

You then found yourself staring at the doors of Reginald's study. The doors were shut and the room itself emanated pure coldness that bit through the normal warmth of the rest of the house.

For some reason, you were compelled to go inside. You gently brushed your fingers against the old books on the bookshelves. The smell of the room was like a library, but Reginald's cologne choked through the papery smell of the books- really any trace of him made you angry.

You looked at his desk and noticed an open book with his large scrawling script etched onto the pages. You gently picked up the book and turned to the cover. Pressed into the leathery black cover was 00.06 in small golden numbers.

Ben...

Why would Reginald review his notes on Ben? He had been dead for years now. The memory of the accident burned your eyes and your vision became blurred. Sucking in a breath and telling yourself to be a big girl, you flipped back to the page Reginald had left off on.

The page was dated that day, but as you read on, more and more hatred for Reginald brewed.

"Number 6 held some of the best potential, the monsters beneath his skin held power that he could have unlocked if he accepted who he was, alas, he rejected himself. He became useless to me, but he also had a natural born gift: persuasion. That's why I did what I did, his ghost would unlock the abilities of my next best potential: Number Four. He possesses abilities that he shuns with his drug abuse, and I believe Number Six's ghost will persuade him to delve into his true potential."

You heard the study doors open and looked up. Your eyes locked with Reginald's. You expected him to be furious, but he calmly walked in and stood across from you on the other side of the desk.

"Number Eight-"

"Its Y/N."

His lips thinned in annoyance, but he continued.

"Y/N... You understand why I did what I did."

Pure hatred for him swelled up within you.

"No, I don't. You had no reason to-"

He stopped you with a wave of his hand.

"You understand because you have become me."

"Excuse me?"

Reginald walked around the desk, cornering you. You tried to back up, but the back of your knees knocked into his chair, throwing off your balance and nearly pushing you down into the seat. Reginald stared down at you, his expression bland, yet his eyes cold and grim.

"You kill to get what you need done. I had Number Six killed because I needed my other children to thrive. He stood in the way of progress, but now his death can benefit the Academy, rather than be detrimental to the group's overall health." He paused a bit, letting the words crash over you. "All those orphaned children and abused women that you protect? Their rights and liberty are soaked in the blood you spill."

You felt the tears climb up your throat. You pushed the emotions aside, not letting Reginald see how his words had affected you.

Without another sentence, you pushed past him and out of the study. You ran out of that horrid house, and the rain outside mixed into your sobs as you ran down the sidewalk.

It was later that evening, and you sat in your hotel room. The same grief you felt when Ben had first died hovered over you, but you decided that instead of reaching out to your siblings about your revelation, it was easier to drown your sorrows with a bottle of whiskey. The sting of the liquor distracted you from how your throat scratched from sobbing for hours.

You sat up from bed and replayed that evening for the millionth time in your head. All you could focus on was the lack of emotion on Reginald's face- how Ben's death was nothing more than a ploy, an experiment, a plan- whatever you want to call it. You hated this man. Hated him so much. He killed the one person who showed you true, human kindness in that wretched house.

You looked up into a mirror that faced the bed. You looked like a mess, with your business suit wrinkled and hair disheveled and mascara runny. What you really focused on was the redness in your face; the red tip of your nose, the puffiness of your eyes, your overly heated cheeks, and your bloodshot eyes. The red- a color that represents love, lust, and your favorite matter- blood. You wanted to see that red drained from Reginald's body, just like it drained from your father and all those you introduced to an early and awful death.

And that's exactly what you did.

Late in the night, you crept back into that house. Well, more stumbled in your drunken state. You climbed the old stairs, past Grace who was recharging- which meant she was offline- perfect. Pogo was no where to be found, probably asleep in whatever cage your horrid step-"father" kept him in.

Then, you slowly opened the doors to Reginald's room. A single lamp was on and he sat at a desk in his room, reading some book.

His back was to you and in all his glorious ass-holiness, he muttered, "Grace, I am busy."

You swallowed, preparing you to finish the deed that had brought you here.

"Too bad I'm not Grace."

Reginald's head whipped around, his monocle nearly falling from his face.
