need to discuss the hallmark movie 'just one kiss' starring santino fontana and krysta rodriguez, now streaming on peacock. it has the most out of pocket ending i have ever seen in a hallmark movie. i am still reeling from it.
clearly this movie was made so fontana could sing every like, 15 minutes. (im assuming it was part of his negotiation). anyway, the movie makes you think their mother's are setting them up secretly. you see them plan a meet cute, leaving some apartment notice at female protagonists place so that she and her daughter move into his apartment building (she's going through a divorce), then you see the mom's place little ads under their doors for free cheesecakes, so that they run into each other later that night.
a bunch of other romcom stuff happens (misunderstanding and miscommunication). whatever. they get together and then he says 'my mom would have loved you' and then she says 'my mom would have been crazy about you'\'i wish i could have known her', 'yeah me too'.
that's right. the moms were DEAD the ENTIRE TIME. even tho there's a scene where the mom is in the room with her daughter and granddaughter--which explains why female protag couldn't find a sitter. bc her mom was dead.
its ends with the mom's saying 'we did it' and then they leave the movie theater and apparently the exit is heaven.
i can't stop thinking about it.

4 Places to Take Your Dog in Indianapolis
#Poop4U
Every dog mom knows the struggle that comes with leaving the house while your precious pooch stares back at you with those big sad “Where you goin’, mama?” eyes. Don’t you just hate that!
Living in the city can make it even harder, as it isn’t always easy finding places where we can take our dogs to get some fresh air and exercise, and maybe sniff a few friendly butts.
Fortunately, there are plenty of diamonds in the rough if you know where to look. Today we’ll train our gaze on one of the most dog-friendly cities in Indiana, the beautiful city where my family and I live (well, we’re in the suburbs, but you know what I mean). Here are four canine hotspots so cool they might even make out-of-state animal lovers start scoping out Indianapolis houses for sale!
4 Places to Take Your Dog in Indianapolis
1. Broad Ripple Park
Looking for someplace where you can take your dog off the leash and let her play with her poochy pals? The 61-acre Broad Ripple Park is a beautiful outdoor area full of fun features that you and your dog will love.
Following a recent multi-thousand-dollar renovation, the dog park includes man-made hills to diversify the terrain, artificial turf to prevent perpetual pawing from turning the place into a muddy free-for-all, a new covered pavilion with picnic tables, water fountains for both two-legged and four-legged visitors, and a dog-washing station so you can make sure your mutt is clean before loading her into your car.
Most important is a spacious fenced-in area ensures your pup can zoom-zoom-zoom back and forth to her little heart’s content, without you having to worry about her wandering off.
2. City Dogs Grocery
One of the best advantages of living in the city is being able to browse unique boutiques and locally owned business of all kinds. Now your favorite dog can enjoy a shopping spree of her own at City Dogs Grocery.
Owned by a rescue dog-mothering nurse and operated by a staff of true-blue animal lovers, City Dogs Grocery is dedicated to encouraging better health and wellness in our pets by providing only high-quality, all-natural pet food, treats, and nutrition supplements.
The knowledgeable employees are more than willing to help you figure out what your pup needs and how best to provide it, with products on-hand for a wide variety of dietary requirements.
It’s not all doggy chow and homemade treats, though. City Dogs Grocery is also wall-to-wall toys and accessories. The only downside is how hard it can be to get your dog to leave!
3. Holliday Park
Your dog isn’t the only one who needs exercise every now and then. Keep your pooch, but lose that paunch with a day of hiking at Holliday Park.
Where Broad Ripple Park is a great place to let your dog off her leash to run free, Holliday Park offers a more curated outdoor adventure with 3.5 miles of winding trails, staircases, and foot bridges along the bubbling banks of the White River.
Leashed dogs are allowed everywhere on the massive 91-acre property, with the exception of the indoor nature center.
There’s plenty to see and enjoy outside, though, including shallow creeks perfect for pooches who like to splish-splash, an arboretum comprising more than 1,200 trees of different species for pups who like to, ahem, mark their territory, and last but not least, the park’s one-of-a-kind “ruins,” preserved remains of three massive limestone statues designed by famed 19th-century sculptor Karl Bitter.
4. Three Dog Bakery
After a long day of hiking you and your dog deserve to treat yourselves. Where better to find your pup a sweet snack than at Three Dog Bakery? My dogs love this place, and for good reason.
While City Dogs Grocery is all about health and wellness, Three Dog Bakery leaves some room for delicious decadence. Everybody deserves the occasional cheat day, after all.
If you’re going to cheat, you might as well do it with flair. Three Dog Bakery has flair for days, with such unique offerings as animal-safe peanut butter-filled pretzel bites, grain-free oven-baked bacon biscuits, crunchy all-natural mini-bagels, cookie dough ice cream wafers, and even honey-sweetened birthday cakes with low-fat, low-lactose yogurt frosting!
It’s okay if you’re getting hungry reading this. Truth be told, sometimes our dogs eat better than we do.

Sorry Amanda Seyfried, Your Message to Arielle Charnas Isn’t Body Positive—It’s Hateful
Body positivity is a super trendy movement, one lots of celebrities rightfully support. But as a recent social media spat between a major actress and a popular influencer reveals, some A-listers aren't body positive and are still okay with body shaming.
Here's what you need to know: Earlier this week, Instagram influencer Arielle Charnas shared a mirror selfie while wearing a bikini. The shot shows off her flat, toned stomach, and the caption reads, “Proud of my body after two kids.”
RELATED: Kelsey Wells Posts Before-and-After Photo to Show How Exercise Healed Her Postpartum Depression
Amanda Seyfried caught wind of this post after an unnamed friend left a comment on it. The actress and model shared a screenshot of the friend’s comment on her Instagram feed, with a lengthy caption explaining how a “semi-influencer” (assumed to be Charnas) had blocked both Seyfried and her friend. Seyfried wrote that she was upset because by blocking them, this influencer wouldn’t engage in conversation.
The friend's post lit into Charnas for showing off her post-baby body—and her privilege. “Totally fine that you’re privileged and thin, good for you (I am too-ish!) Got no problem with either of those things,” Seyfried’s friend wrote. “BUT if you don’t acknowledge how your wealth made your workouts/body possible, you’re just perpetuating the patriarchal (totally unrealistic) notion that mothers should 'bounce back' after childbirth, an impossibility for anyone who can’t afford ample childcare (which is almost everyone in this country).”
“You are glorifying an unhealthy body image (I don’t care if it’s 'natural' don’t even try that shit with me) in a society that already fetishizes the adolescent female form,” the friend added. “Young girls don’t need any more images of emaciated women thank you very much.”
Seyfried added her own message in her caption, voicing her frustration with Charnas's choice to block the women on Instagram.
"If we’re ready to get paid for flaunting our lifestyle (and inspiring some in the meantime) we have to be open to the discussions surrounding what we’re promoting," Seyfried wrote. "We have to back ourselves up—not run away from the issues it presents. There are gray areas everywhere."
RELATED: Mom of 3 Bares All on Instagram by Sharing Unedited Photo of Postpartum Stomach Wrinkles
Needless to say, this situation is messy. Seyfried didn't body shame Charnas—but her regram of the post with her friend's nasty comments comes off like a silent endorsement of that body criticism. Seyfried’s commenters were divided: A few supported the actress’ message, while others reprimanded her for shaming the influencer.
Here's our take. On one hand, Charnas appears to be a woman of wealth and influence. As a public figure (the owner of lifestyle brand Something Navy), we can infer through her social media posts that Charnas has the resources to dedicate her time and money to enjoy a regular fitness routine, something most moms don't have.
But despite Charnas’s postpartum physique, Seyfried's regram of her friend's comments is a firsthand example of the hypocrisy within the body positive movement. Body positive influencers tend to be women whose bodies don’t resemble the thin, fit "standard." But the movement toward body acceptance can't grow if we don’t support every type of body—thin and fit bodies included.

While Amanda’s caption may have focused on Charnas's choice to block the women, the screenshot she posted clearly shames a woman who is proud of her body, and Seyfried is endorsing that sentiment.
At Health, we're all about the acceptance of every size and shape, and not calling out body shaming of any kind sets the movement back.

Week-End Update: Mother's Day 2017 Edition
Let’s start this post out with a Happy Mother’s Day to everyone who has ever been a mom, regardless of whether their babies have been human or other animal. This should be a day of fond reflection for all moms, everyone who’s been lucky enough to have a great mom and those of us who miss our mothers dearly. It’s been a great week for the mother’s among us as 3 of our mommas were adopted this week: Guess (mom to the designer litter), Samantha (mom to Sammy & Kitt FKA Sarah) & Anna Lee all found the perfect place to call home. Guess’s pup Valentino (now Ricky) is in heaven being part of a family with a lot of kids! Mae’s (now Minka) foster family realized she fit in just perfectly and decided to make it permanent so we’re pretty sure she’ll crop up in some pics & videos with future foster pups. Cherry, Kellsie, Sookie, Sydney, Terk (now Chip) & Wolf also found the perfect families for them!

“Just wanted to let you guys know Samwise is doing fantastic! Everybody loves him and he seems pretty happy too :)”
  Kasie
“Kasie seems to be adjusting pretty well.  She stays in her cage all night and starts barking around 6:30 to go out.  I leave for work at 7AM so my husband is with her all day.
As far as I know, we are keeping her name the same.  Although one of my sons said we should change it to ABBI as the first initial of our grand children’s names.”
  Maverick FKA Legend

“Maverick (legend) is doing so great ! We love this boy so much. He has already gained 3lbs and counting. We took a visit to the vet and have started one on one training classes.
Maverick can now sit, lay down, give a paw and is learning touch. He loves playing outside, laying in the sun and getting belly rubs. He also loves to bite everything he can get his mouth on.
We have met some new doggie friends and Maverick can’t wait to be as big as them!”
  Lucie FKA Oatmeal

          Bella FKA Britt
“We are all doing well! Bella is the love of our life and she knows it! She’s quite the princess.
Bella is well and has her own Facebook page. She visits your Facebook page often and I believe you and your staff can see pictures of Belles.”
  Gatsby FKA Eclipse
#gallery-3 margin: auto; #gallery-3 .gallery-item float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 25%; #gallery-3 img border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; #gallery-3 .gallery-caption margin-left: 0; /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
“Hi TLC Rescue!
Finally getting around to sending some pictures and an update on Gatsby. Sorry for the delay. We had a heck of a time transferring files from the phone to the computer for upload. Along those lines, I’ll send a couple videos in a separate email in case they don’t go through.
So…we’re coming up on five months now with Gatsby and my goodness has she come a long way. 🙂
She was so shy and timid when we first brought her home. Happy, but timid. She would rarely agree to go for walks around the neighborhood, was afraid of just about any noise, etc. She still had fun, and of course we still loved having her around, but she took some real TLC to come out of her shell. And wow, did she ever come out! Some changes…
– We spent hours and hours coaxing her to leave the driveway and be comfortable going for a walk. Now, she can’t wait to get out into the neighborhood to say hi to her friends every morning. There’s Oliver, who stops by around 7:30. Eva, who we usually see at her place around 7:00 (pic enclosed, video coming in a separate email). And other “acquaintances” who she’s always happy to see. Then at 8:30 we leave for her “job”…walking the kids down to the bus stop. WHICH SHE LOVES! She’s so proud…tail straight up and wagging, checking to make sure the entire pack is together, and saying hi to everyone. She’s a tremendous hit and she loves all the attention.
– We used to have to pick her up to get her in the car. Now, she jumps right in. I take her most mornings, early, to the park down the street where we hunt for stray baseballs left behind from games the night before. So far we’ve collected more than 50! We go for a nice run there and some games of fetch before going back home for breakfast and “play dates” with Oliver and Eva. Oh, and trips to the dog park. She loves those!
– She used to be TERRIFIED of garbage cans. Now, she barks at them. Even plays with them. Sure sign of growing confidence. 😉
Those are just a few examples. The difference between her then and now is really staggering. She’s just loving life and all the attention she’s getting, the comfy places to sleep, the friends, the great food…everything. She’s such a joy and we can’t imagine what it was like not to have her around. It’s hard to remember life before she got here. It really is.
Some pictures are enclosed. As you can see, she’s equally happy going for a run as she is taking a nap, and striking one of her amazing sleeping poses. Still can’t figure out how she gets into those positions, or finds them comfortable, but she does.
So…thank you so much TLC. Gatsby has become a true and cherished member of the family. And we look forward to more fun times in the years ahead.”
  Kentucky aka Tuck
Tuck aka Kentucky
“Tuck is absolutely wonderful and we are more in love with this girl every day! We feel that she has completely acclimated to our family and is very comfortable with us as we are with her.  She is incredibly well behaved and guests in our home always love her! I don’t think a day goes by that one of us doesn’t say again how lucky we are to have her! She is loved to pieces!!! 😊
I attached a photo I just took last night…enjoy!”
    Mac FKA Versace (Guess’s pup)
Mac FKA Versace
“Everything is going well. We changed his name to Mac. He is learning so much and has adjusted extremely well. I’ll be sure to keep you all updated. Many thanks, especially to Tracey for all her dedication. Mac has his vet appointment next Thursday for rabies shot and check up. This picture was taken while the baby cried, music played and the toddler danced-Mr. Bullet Proof.”
    Zoey FKA Dayla
#gallery-4 margin: auto; #gallery-4 .gallery-item float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; #gallery-4 img border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; #gallery-4 .gallery-caption margin-left: 0; /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
“We wanted to give you an update on Dayla (now Zoey). She’s been with us for almost 2 months and she’s become a wonderful part of our family. She still has some puppy energy, but it comes in bursts in between lots of cozy naps. She is loving and friendly and we’re so glad she’s with us! Also, thank you for giving us the chance to meet with her a few times before we adopted her so we could see if our son (who is allergic) had a reaction. Everything has been fine–no reactions at all. Thanks for bringing Zoey into our family!”
Stiles
#gallery-5 margin: auto; #gallery-5 .gallery-item float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 20%; #gallery-5 img border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; #gallery-5 .gallery-caption margin-left: 0; /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
“These past 6 months have flown by, yet feels like Stiles has been with us forever. He is adjusting wonderfully and I truly cannot imagine our lives without him. He is the sweetest boy EVER!!
He is most definitely a hound – our boy loves to hunt!! He sees a squirrel or a rabbit and he’s off to the races – lol.
I have attached a few pictures so you can see how big he’s gotten – all 52lbs of him!! :)”
  Jax FKA Spuddy
#gallery-6 margin: auto; #gallery-6 .gallery-item float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; #gallery-6 img border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; #gallery-6 .gallery-caption margin-left: 0; /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
“Almost 2 months since we welcomed Jax home.
Jax is such a good boy and so eager to please. He has learned so many commands; we couldn’t be more proud. We love that he so puppy like and is so curious about everything. He follows his “mommy” everywhere, adores his  human and doggie siblings and gives everyone he meets kisses. Out hearts are so full and happy! Thanks for bringing this love into our life.”
