Elena’s mom died when she was born. She had a really tough first pregnancy with Elena’s brother and her second one ended up being too much for her body to handle.

Elena grew up pretty resentful and angry once she reached an age where she understood what had happened and why she didn’t have mom, when all the girls in her class had theirs. She was a very bitter child for a while who was pretty jealous. 

Hating the feeling of jealousy, she rather quickly grew to be very independent and driven turning her anger at the world into fuel. She refused to let things get to her and instead worked hard on getting what she wanted and earning her place in the world. 

After getting into a near fist fight with the captain of the cheer squad among a couple of other incidents her father took her to the race track to see if she’d find the same solace he’d felt there when he was younger. Which she most definitely did. 

At first sight when she watched a motorcycle race she was hooked and knew that that’s what she was going to be doing. 

As soon as she was able to legally drive she got herself a motorcycle, much to her father dismay. And was one of the few girls among a few boys that rode motorcycles to school. 

After graduation when she needed to make a decision on what to do with her life, to no ones surprise she ended up tracking her bike and racing full time alongside scrambling together something of a bachelors degree online. Even becoming the face of a few big sponsors and racing for them. 

Skilled female motorcycle racers are rare so when she started getting more and more traction and eventually ended up on the podium several races in a row, she got a lot of attention on her and her reputation grew. 

Eventually though, the career of her dreams would come to a crashing end. Literally. Like many others her career ended with a massive accident, leaving her unable to return to the track. 

Through her 7 years of racing she travelled all over the country, but when she got injured she came back to crescent harbor for her recovery. 

She is still somewhat recovering while she is now working as a writer for an online magazine focused on auto sports. She is devastated that she cannot race but at least she is still a part of the community in some way.

She still rides her Yamaha R6 as her primary mode of transportation. But she does own a car, just in case.
