man this fic series was never meant to be a genuine prediction of how mando s3 happens but i did include some things i WANTED from s3 in broad strokes, such as like, most importantly, “long journey towards din and grogu reuniting” which is such a basic expectation from s3. only for bobf to render that moot basically instantly. like sorry for constantly harping on this but im forever going to be in indignant awe over it. like what a stupid fucking decision

#brot posts #mando posting #i just.#how do you take this series. which is all about a guy who reluctantly becomes a father. and his growing bond with this little baby #and then you say. ok lets separate them in a very gruelling painful way #lets see how they each tick as individual characters away from the other #as a way to explore how their budding father son relationship works when theyre no longer together #such a major decision that goes against the whole premise of the show prior to that episode. shakes the whole foundation of the series itsel #and then you like. resolve it entirely. as a subplot. over 2.5 episodes. in a completely different show.#and then you return to the main show's next season with that whole thing from the previous season finale just never addressed #like. what was the fucking point honest to god #we got little glimpses of din longingly missing grogu in bobf 5 but like. there was no genuine deep exploration #of who he is now that his new identity as a reluctant father was snatched away #and we got a little glimpse of grogu missing him but again we got no genuine deep exploration #of how grogu feels to have yet another caretaker disappear after decades of continuously being alone and losing everyone close to him #LIKE! we got no fucking exploration of any of that and it was resolved so quickly #you shake the very foundations of their relationship and thus the entire SHOW and its just. resolved so quickly!!#WHAT WAS THE POINT !!!!
