Synopsis: You have a crush on your close friend but you are scared of confessing to him. So you like to give out clues and one day you decided to prank them calling them "love" just to see their reactions.

You are in school and inside the library. You had your computer and coffee of Starbucks on the table. Besides you were with your best boy-friend K working on his computer too. "Love, can you pass me the book over there?" You asked your eyes focus on the computer. "Sure," he said calmly as he pass you the book.  After a few seconds passed, K was looking at you weirdly. "Did you say Love to me? You said Love can you pass me the book..." He asked with a flirty look. "What are you talking about?" You pretended not to know, your attention on the computer.

FUMA

You saw Fuma sitting next to you on the bench. You look down at your phone pretending you did not notice he was there. So you prepared yourself to tell him the next thing. "Love? Read this meme!" you laughed showing him your phone. But before he would look at your phone he look at you dead serious in your eyes. "What?" You asked confused. "Love? Really?" He asked raising an eyebrow. "Ohhhh Fuma! I was talking to myself, I read something romantic so that's why...gosh why would you even think that!" You hit his arm laughing ridiculously. Yuma just grins at your weirdness.

NICHOLAS

You are at the gym with your best friend Nico! He is a professional dancer and you wanted him to teach you some dances for exercise. " 1,2,3 left, 1,2,3 right! Love pass me the water bottle please " you shouted as you were dancing by yourself and Nico was watching you. He furrowed his eyebrows down together in confusion. "What you said?" He asked. "Pass me my water bottle! I'm thirsty!" You yelled. I must've misunderstood then. He passes you the bottle. "Thank you love" you mumbled. "What?!" He run towards you and you got scared. "Did you call me love?" He asked trying not to smile. "What?! I say thank you ha! HA! Can't you see I'm breathless?" You turn around from him secretly smiling.

EJ/EUIJOO

You walk beside him wishing how you can hold his hand right now. Both of you walk inside the classroom to get your backpacks. "Love, thank you for the cookies! I loved it!" You said happily and secretly waiting for his response. "Yeah, I know they were really good..." he smiled kindly busy with his backpack. You were confused but you thought maybe he did not hear it. "EJ my love, do you think we should go to Kei's party next week?" You asked again. Suddenly he slowly looks at you and grins shyly. "EJ my love?" He questioned wanting to laugh. "What? I did not-" you laughed failing. " why!!" EJ screamed feeling embarrassed too.

YUMA

You leaned your head against his arm. Both of you watched the soccer game in which your friends participated. You look up at his pretty profile side and smile. "They're playing good! Love, when are you going to play soccer with them too?" You asked. He looks at you in surprise, then confused, then he starts to blush all in seconds. "U-uh I don't know when b-but I want to- why you called me love?" He asked his attention fully on you. "Huh? When did I call you love?" You asked pretending to be confused. " you just did! I heard it clearly!" He said feeling so sure of what he heard. " of course not, you probably misheard my words, focus on the game you dummy" you laugh. Yuma focus back on the game but his mind was repeating the words you said.

JO

"Love pass me the ball!" You jumped waiting for Jo to give you the ball. Once he reaches to grab it he looks so confused. Did she just say, love? To me? He asked himself but decided to shrug it off. So he passes the ball. "Love, you're doing great!" You said once again. He ignores it. Third attempt. "LOVE!! L-O-V-E! Love-". "What do you want! Stop calling me love!" He whined feeling annoyed by you.

HARUA

You sat next to him in class today. You two were doing an assignment together. " so love, find the x and y value of this problem..." Harua immediately looks up at you. "Okay love," he smiled going with the flow. You couldn't help to laugh. You completely failed.

TAKI

" TAKI, what does it says here?" You asked him pointing at the board where you wrote LOVE. "It says, love?" He questioned. You clapped your hands feeling proud of him...sarcasm. "Great job Love!" You shouted on purpose. Taki laugh with you but soon he notice what you said. "Great job love? Did you call me love?" He asked feeling confused although a smile linger on his lips. "Yeah, great job LOVE! As in you said "love" correctly!" You explained. "Ohhh...." He scratched his head still feeling confused.

MAKI

" Love, tell me if this dress could look good on me," you asked showing the dresses on your phone's screen. "Wait wait, did you just call me love?" He asked his cheeks turning a pink shade. "I did? I mean I do tell my closest friends"my love "you said. " Not to me and I'm a close friend...it's the first time I hear it from you " he questioned. "Fine if you don't want me to tell you that again I won't!" You looked away. "Fine then...call me love," he smiled. You blushed. I can call my crush my love~~

p. ej × gn!reader n. yoo i had so much fun writing this even tho this is more onesided enemies to lovers bc ej is too kind from my pov . 100+ event

you carefully close the front door of your house to avoid waking anyone up. your phone tells you it's 2:15 right now, not that you cared how late it was.

you just needed some time alone and your lack of sleepiness resulted in going out at 2 am. the neighborhood you live in wasn't dangerous at all, it was quiet, with almost everyone being in bed by 11 pm.

deciding to head to the convenience store first you are surprised to meet ej on your way. you disliked ej a lot. how evil he could be when competing against you.

your parents and his parents were college friends and knew eachother really well. naturally, they thought the two of you would get along. but no, it's also their fault that you don't get along with him. how could you when they bring up academics everytime both of you are around?

ej was better and sometimes you even felt like your parents liked him more than they liked you. maybe that was the worst part of it all.

he was loved or at least liked by everyone around him, why couldn't he leave you alone as well?

"why are you awake right now?" he asks. his hands are in the pockets of his sweatpants and he is wearing a dark green hoodie. even at night his face wears the kind look.

"i could ask you the same thing," you reply, "just leave me alone and we can both act like we didn't meet eachother."

you didn't realise he was also on his way to the convenience store. you angrily walk behind him, a distance between the two of you.

"i can't stand you," you hiss at him when the two of you meet in the same aisle. why was it that the two of you got pulled together wherever you went?

you eye ej as he sits down on the bench you are sitting on. he doesn't seem to care that you are glaring at him.

"why do you hate me?"

"because my parents compare us even though they know you are the better child,"

ej stays silent and you can hear the wind howling. you take a sip of the cold drink in your hands.

you thought this was the end of the conversation, but ej continues talking after thinking about what to say.

"is that why you hate me so much? if i am being honest, my parents say the same thing about you. how you are more determined, more mature and even though i do better in school you do better from their point of view." he confesses with a sigh. it was your parents and his that made the two of you hate eachother.

"i like you, and sometime i wish that i could be even just a little bit like you. maybe then, my parents would stop talking about you." he continues.

"you like me?" you ask surprised. your way of coping with the comparing was hatred and envy towards ej. his way of coping was the opposite, it was admiration and envy towards you.

"so can you please stop hating me because it is killing me knowing that you hate me." he utters. you're taken aback by the situation, ej wishing for you to stop hating him? you had always thought he hated you as well.

ej looks at you with hope, hoping you would realise how much he likes you. luckily you get the hint and you shyly look away.

"please just kiss me already," you mumble, your head turned away from him. ej's eyes widen at your comment and stands up to sit on your other side.

he smiles brightly and happily before he meets his lips with yours. his heart is about to burst out of his chest. how he wished for the kiss to last forever.

I wanted to put all five of the types. He is the most caring and sweet human being, the type of person who always tries to protect his loved ones and make them first priority in his life. Being the selfless person he is, he would give his loved one/ones the most precious thing he has, being it his time. He is really good with words and that's why he would use them to make you feel loved and taken care of.

He would hug you on the couch and whisper you the softest words he knows while scratching your head. And don't even try getting up from there.

🌸 Nicholas - acts of service and physical touch

Even with his macho-cool-chill attitude, he is a cute cinnamon roll for you. As expected. I feel like he would not be the most cheesy, at least not on a daily basis. That's why he would probably prefer to do simple small things to show you his love, like washing the dishes even if it's your turn to or picking an outfit for you on days you're busy. He doesn't cook, but he would for you, to prepare a cute bento box for you to bring to work or school.

Still, I feel he would come to you for random and unexpected hugs, expecially back hugs. And he would randomly steal pecks from you. And makeout sessions. I can write an essay on theories about this guy's love. I can and I will.

🌸 Ej - gift giving

With you on his mind all the time, he would always look for things to give you to show his love. Actually, he doesn't even really look for things that remind him of you because they just come naturally to him.

He loves giving you small things, but really often. Usually it's lil plushies. He puts them in a box and watches your reaction while you pull them out. Like that one time he gave a you a twerking llama.

He is the type to have matching bracelets obviously gifted by him.

But he would also bring you random flowers and leaves or rocks and shells, but also ladybugs and random insects he find cute. And you don't find them cute.

He's something like a cat.

Hopefully he doesn't bring you a mouse next time.

🌸 Taki - quality time

We know the baby's not really talented in his speach as he himself previously said, but we all know this is not going to stop him from delivering his feelings. He is affectionate and soft and you know you can always count on him if you need help or a shoulder to cry on. Best friends type of relationship>>>>.

He's the type to always check on you, but he rarely tries to make plans, so it would be you trying to find activities to do together all the time. And to whatever you may suggest, you know his answer is going to be yes.

He sat on the floor, knees against his stomach, sad teary eyes looking at the window.  His mind was blank but soon the memories of you came back. He try not to cry about you but it was hard for him. You were his first real love but when he caught with that other person...it broke his heart. He covered his face with both of his hands and met all the tears out again. He hit the back of his head against the wall behind him out of anger. " how could you do this to me!" He cried out loud.

He sat on the couch with a blank face. It seems that tears no longer are able to come out of his pretty eyes. He drank the small glass of alcohol he had in hand. " liar....." he whispered as he clutched his fist tightly. " I don't ever want to see you again..." he clenched his teeth tightly together as he try to control himself from not crying.

𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐀𝐒

The stuff that were on his table weren't no longer there as they all were hit against the floor by a quick and hard swing of his arm. He grip onto his hair and walk back and forth around his room. He is still in shock after everything he seen in your apartment. " what a fucking liar! She said she loved me and that I was the only one!" He stopped walking and stand there with wide red eyes as his hands were shaking. " How could she do this to me..." he sat on the bed and just stay there as he replay the memories of what he saw in your apartment.

He walk inside his home in such a slow space as if his soul came out of his body. He look tired and sad. He sat on the couch and crouch down a little as he look down the floor. Soon tears run down his cheeks and small sniffs could be heard coming from his nose. He rubbed his hands together slowly trying not to cry hard. He didn't say anything he just cried quietly and his mind was filling with thoughts of you.

He deleted everything and anything that has to do with you. He deleted your phone number, your photos, unfollow and blocked you in every social media. He was angry. Very angry. His big eyes were red because of how much he cried earlier now he feels sad and mad and just wants to erase you from his life and his mind. " not letting you fool me again..." he whispered quietly as he threw the teddy bear you gave him out of his window with so much hate.

You were his first love. And he loved you even more because of that reason. You made him feel so special but after discovering what you did, the band of his eyes fell off to see your true self and he hates it. He wishes he never met you. He was playing basketball by himself and although he was moving around his mind was filled with memories of you. He kept missing each shot. He got tired and sat on the ground. He stay quietly as he watch the sunny sky turned gray. That reminded him of how he used to see you and how he sees you now. His tears run down his face and he quickly wipe the off. " forget her Jo," he told himself playing with ball again.

He stay in class during lunch time. His head was buried inside his arms for a while. The teacher saw him and walk towards him. " Harua? Are you alright? Why are you crying?" She asked. Harua sat up and look up at her with teary eyes. His nose was stuffed. " it's nothing....I just don't feel good..." he look down at his desk and saw a message from you on his phone "I'm sorry" it said. The teacher notice that and she immediately thought you did something that made him sad. " Harua, whatever it is that made you sad, it's going to go away if you chose to forget it and soon...you'll be okay" She smiled and walk out of class. Harua nodded and grinned to himself. He answered you back. " don't talk to me again, you and I are done".

He couldn't concentrate on his homework because he only kept thinking about you. " but why did she did that tho?" He kept asking himself as he furrowed his eyebrows down together hitting his pencil against the book. He stand up and look out the widow and saw your house from far away. " your sick YN.....I honestly do not want to hear from you anymore..." he clenched his fists tightly and try to hold up his tears. He hit his head with both of his hands. " now focus!" He told himself.

He laid on his bed letting all his tears out. His entire face was red and puffy. He felt so upset and hurt by you that he did not know how to deal with it. " I loved you.....why did you do this to me..." he slightly punch his pillow. He felt so heart broken. He immediately grab his phone and deleted your pictures, block your phone number and block you on social media.  " Not letting you get close to me ever." He said.

• He scratches the back of his head. "Taki! And yours?" He asked feeling curious if you.

• "I'm YN, I need to pay you back for saving her life, she's important to me, anything you need, knock on my door!" You wink and left the boy blushing.

I never thought that the most popular boy in my school would even talk to me.

Me......someone who's NOT popular at all not even in any sense!.... I'm your typical shy girl in school. The type of student who doesn't participate in class even if they know the answer...I'm just not confident....and I don't like taking that much.

So I am surprised that HIROTA RIKI known as MAKI is even talking to me! He is the most popular boy and most adorable, cute, handsome, and- wait why am I......

Anyway! Of all the cool people he knows....he is right here, sitting next to me and talking to me.

" So my mom LOVES to make those types of dishes! I personally do not like them but I don't tell my mom that because I don't want to hurt her feelings so I lie and lie! And tell her more lies and I'm tired of telling her lies about her food because-"

Oh boy, I need a break from this talkative person. I leaned my head against the table.

How did it all start? How did we start to talk to each other?

"Oh my God I'm gonna be so late for my class and I don't want to be scolded by the teacher!" I said while running to my next class. I had my jacket in one hand and in the other hand my big heavy backpack. I was running so fast that I couldn't stop immediately once I saw a boy in front of me getting books out of his locker. My entire life flashes in my eyes before hitting the boy with my body.

BOOOOM...

slow motion scene.....just imagine your typical romantic kdrama scene....at least that's how it felt to me.

I slowly fell onto the boy who look at me with widened eyes. He looked afraid of me. My body fell on top of him leaving us laying on the ground. His books spread above him. My jacket and backpack are on the side of us.

My nose was touching his nose, our eyes staring at each other.

" HIRAI Y/N! HIROTA RIKI! What are you two doing in the hallways? Gosh! Go to the office immediately! Oh my goodness kids these days are incredible!" A teacher complained as she watch both of us on the ground.

I was so embarrassed and just by thinking about it it still embarrasses me. At that moment I wanted to dig myself into a hole and never come back.

On the side.....Maki chuckled to himself. He put a piece of my hair behind my ear. " don't be embarrassed....it was just an accident." He whispered and smiled at me.

I immediately moved my eyes away from his cute face. I was for sure blushing and I was trembling. I wanted to tell him "YEAH AN ACCIDENT! BUT DO YOU SEE THE POSITION I'M IN RIGHT NOW? I'M STRADDLING ABOVE YOU!!! THIS LOOKS WRONG!!"

I just imagine myself screaming at him but.....I didn't stay quiet as I embarrassingly and slowly got up from him. He also stood up and shook his pants. He smiled at the teacher and clap his hands together. " Mrs. Sato, it wasn't an accident, she was running and she bumped into me...it's not what you think...she's not my girlfriend-"

" yeah right! And I was born yesterday? Hurry up to the office!" She said angrily following behind us. I hide my face with my hair although...I still felt Maki's glanced at me.

We sat in the principal's office looking at the clock that is located in the middle of the wall waiting for Mr.Saito to walk in meanwhile the teacher that yelled at us was checking at us between the small space of the door.

" I know you must be feeling embarrassed right now...I know you're very timid... shy-"

" Who said I was embarrassed...." I was shocked I talked! I usually stay silent. If I'm being honest I was feeling mad when he started to say that I'm shy. I know it is the truth but I get tired of hearing that from everyone and I get tired of myself for not changing that stupid personality of mine!

Maki look at me a little surprised. Did he stutter? "I-I didn't meant it in a m-mean way!.....it's just that I have you in class....that's why I know how you are-"

" you don't know me.....no one does....." Here I go again! This isn't usually me!

Maki nodded and slowly look away from me. " I'm sorry for saying that...Sometimes I forget to think before saying anything....sorry" he said as he leaned against the chair and look at the window that was far from him but still he could see the beautiful sun.

" Alright, kids.... look...I'm letting this one go because you two explained it to me and I believe you two...Let me tell you the truth.....Mrs.Sato can be too....how can I say it....she simply takes everything wrong....she has wasted my time because of her way of thinking but anyways.....Hirai, please do not run on the hallways, and Hirota if you see her running towards you JUMP on the other side!" Mr.Sato and Maki laughed. I didn't laugh. I didn't feel like it.

"We both go to the same class...I hope the teacher doesn't scold us for coming so late to class..." Maki said as he pressed his lips tight together. "Yeah...."I said. In my mind, I was thinking of apologizing to him for sounding too cold earlier at the office. I was getting a little nervous to tell him but I have to or else the thought of not apologizing to him will agonize my brain forever!

Here I go.

I stopped walking, pressed my lips together tightly, griped on my jacket and backpack, and slowly turned my body to him. He stopped walking and look at me with confusion forming on his face. " Maki....uh...I...want to....apologize...for being too cold to you...I sounded rude....sorry" I  bowed looking down at the floor. 

Maki walk closer to me and rest his hand on my shoulder. I slowly look up at him. He was smiling. " it's fine......do you want to be friends?....it's okay if you don't want to..." he let go of my shoulder.

" you want to be my friend?" I asked. I never thought a popular boy like him would want to be my friend. Then again.....he is known to be a friendly and kind person. Perhaps he does want to be my friend....? Right?

" why not? Is there a reason why you shouldn't be my friend ?" He raised an eyebrow playfully.

"Uhh....no there isn't....it's just that.....I don't think I look like someone that could be your friend....maybe your friends will find it weird....."

" what? Are you crazy? Don't think such things!" He said lightly punching my arm. I couldn't help but smile shyly. I stare at him for a long time. He grins brightly showing those dimples that I never notice he has......they are cute.

That is how we ended up being friends and honestly.....I like his presence....however he LOVES to talk a lot and as I mentioned before I do not like talking much.....but I'm glad his my friend because.....I'm starting to feel like I'm finally getting out of my shell.....little by little.....
