Here’s my current project, which is progressing…slowly, because I basically only work on it during Healthcare Issues class twice a week. I really didn’t like the color combination for a long time but it’s growing on me.

Wool & Honey jumper for my Grandma

I have a new flash for my camera and a new computer with an overly large monitor so I have no excuse not to take and edit more photos. Even with the new flash, I struggled to capture this sweater accurately, so here’s a bunch of almost identical, not-great shots of it! It’s a beautiful black/charcoal shade with yellow-green flecks. It’s comfy and cozy and goes with everything. I definitely see myself using both this yarn (perhaps a different shade) and the pattern again.

New cast on alert!

Started working on my Shifty sweater. It’s been over a year since I planned to make this sweater. So it feels really good to cast it on. Lucky for me the yarn is from Michaels, all in all pretty cheap. Which helps me not feel guilty for letting it sit on the shelf for so long.

I am excited to see this sweater unfold. I didn’t plan out the colors, I am just going to knit and see what happens!

Monthly Intent | October 2022

Hello and welcome to another Monthly Intent post where I share my reading plans and other goals I have for the month ahead. We are now officially in fall and I have already had my experiences with chilly mornings. I finished my Nurtured sweater finally late last night. I immediately went to wash and block it. I did try it on prior to blocking it, but was iffy on the fit. I’m hoping once it dries I will feel differently. It was a very fun knit despite the trouble I had with the short rows. I learned a lot with this project and I’m pretty happy I picked this pattern to be my first sweater.

Nightshift by Andrea Mowry.

This thing is getting way to close to blanket size. I can hardly shove it under my coffee table when I am not working on it. 

I think it actually might end up being a snuggle shawl, rather then a wear outside one. It is just really bulky. Not that I am against it, I just want to hurry up and finish this before the weather gets too hot!

I am almost there, my giant yarn skeins are slowly getting smaller.
