#thinkin' HARD #pentiment #andreas maler #caspar of salzburg #august maler #my art #can i do the thing you're not supposed to do and explain the piece #i'm really proud of the idea #there's four sets of drawings in this #each pair mirrors each other in composition/subject with one representing the start of the second act and the other representing the end #and they're tiled to work chronologically #(super super spoiler warnings for act 2)#so you start top right with the ghost of august #who's standing behind haunting andreas' interactions with caspar #as he holds caspar's shoulders and takes on that lost fatherly role #near them is andreas' masterwork and what's probably a copy of it in progress by caspar #you move on to see andreas leaving caspar alone by the fire at saint john's eve #flanked by three people masked to protect themselves from spirits #and then transition into caspar pulling andreas out of the fire at the abbey #(with his hands on andreas' shoulders now)#then caspar running into the fire toward three spirits- with andreas no longer waving goodbye but trying to call him back to him #then the books caspar saved #and then the ghost of caspar- mirroring august as a son andreas lost #and no #no i'm not ok!!!!#please talk to me about this arc i can't get over it 😭

timeskip Molly concepts - probably when she's around 16-17 ish, maybe even early college? ( I'm not a big fan of the "ooh the bubbly character gets older and is now SUPER SAD" trope so this is more like... Molly is still Molly, she just gets older and faces more hardships/life stressors that come with age, and struggles to maintain the same high level of positivity/resiliency she used to have )

#still a generally happy enthusiastic person but finds more and more that she sometimes has to put on a facade yknow?#has to go soul searching for purpose and meaning in a real genuine way that reinvigorates her #probably something to do with ghost world shenanigans but ~ooh something happens~ and she gets separated from her body somehow #and ollie libby june and darryl have to find help and reconnect w/ andrea and meet alina #and finally ofc hunt down todd and adia and rope them in #todd goes through a ghost portal after much convincing to come retrieve wraith molly and return her detached joyful spirit to her body #and in him becoming scratch again for a short while - to return molly's soul to herself - he of course must return to his own body #and begins to recall some lost memories of his time as a ghost including their friendship #and itslike. a lesson on reaching out and asking for help when you feel yourself slipping away from who you used to be but from molly's POV #and trusting loved ones to know you well enough to put your pieces back together right and make you whole again. or something #the ghost and molly mcgee #tgamm #molly mcgee

“Did you watch?”

It’s God-know-what o’clock back in Europe, but Sebastian’s always been an early bird.

“Honestly. I wouldn’t miss it.”

Charles smiles. He knew he would, of course, but selfishly he wanted to hear it for himself.

“You would have hated it,” he says matter-of-factly. “You know, there is even a wedding chapel in the paddock. Max keeps looking at me like—like we will marry there. With Daniel as Elvis. It’s funny, no?”

He pauses, then contemplatively adds: “And probably very illegal for me.”

Sebastian laughs on the other end of the line. “That’s the danger of keeping secrets.”
