Is it possible to separate the art from the artist? What are your thoughts? As a Christian, conservative, who is very interested in political ideas, religious doctrines, and moral philosophies I am definitely in a minority in the arts. There are many people who have said to me that they would never support someone who has my views. It seems that for a growing number of people that wish to see people they disagree with shunned from society, banned from social media, and barred from public discourse. I’ve had people tell me that it would be in my own financial best interest to keep quiet about my views and perhaps that is true... it seems very likely to be true. But I believe in my values and worldview enough to sacrifice some possible customers if it means saying what I believe to be true and doing what I believe to be right. . I’m not hateful, I do not wish harm or ill will on those who disagree with me. But I won’t keep quiet to protect the feelings of those who are upset when they hear or read viewpoints that are contrary to their own. . Sunday sculpture of Jesus Christ using as a reference an image from @thechosentvseries which is an amazing crowd funded program based on the historical biblical accounts of the life and ministry of Jesus. I believe that Jesus was who he claimed to be and that we if we live according to His teachings our lives will improve. He was the Son of God and because He suffered and died for us, then was resurrected. We too will be resurrected and the just and the unjust will reap the rewards of their choices in life. Hey heres something that might interest some of you. I’ve been getting some of this dollar tree (dollar store) clay. It’s $1 for 7 oz or around $2.30 per lbs which is a great deal for oil based clay and I’m mixing the colors to get a lighter brown and a dark dark turquoise colored clay.
