i love your dbhc au but i have a question regarding your last comic
i absolutely adore Mumbo as an android and especially the whole "he isn't allowed to kill anything so any command involving it turns into some kind of crazy automated machine that does it for him" because that's just a really good way of making this infinitely intelligent guy a little bit of a bumbling fool (/pos!!)
but isn't the soulcontract thing against that? i imagine killing grian is even more ingrained than just killing mobs, or is it fine now that he's deviated? (which also, interesting that first kill he gets after deviation is grian cause i assume he just doesn't realise he can actually kill mobs and stuff and keeps up his machinery?)
=:3
Tumblr media
OUU This is a really great point. I hadn't really thought about it in detail, but deviating would technically mean that Mumbo is no longer held to his base programming/base objectives etc. I like to think that, for the most part, he keeps to the No Killing thing after deviation (partially because he goes a LONG time pretending he's not deviant and hoping no one notices) but also because by the time his deviancy is up and everyone knows, i would imagine that coming up with bizarre contraptions is just muscle memory at this point for him.
I absolutely love the idea that Grian's death here is Mumbo's first kill, though technically, Mumbo uses a piston machine to squash and kill him (and despite Mumbo's insistence, i highly doubt killing Grian was actually necessary for this "soul exchange." I'm sure Grian could have gone into watcher mode to initiate a weird soul splitting thing whenever LMAO). So, like mumbo's many other "kills" throughout the season, he's gotten a machine to do the work for him and kept the very technical blood off of his hands. And honestly, i'm sure actual hermitcraft mumbo made the machine for this purpose too.
I think him killing Grian this way, despite him not actually killing him by hand, still has a bit of significance, because I can't remember a time before this where Mumbo had to devise a machine to kill another player... So even though his hands are clean, this is still a pretty significan OH JUST KIDDING SCRATCH THAT i think Mumbo kills Joel in Last Life with a stone axe in canon... and i think he's part of the reason Impulse dies? By sword i think? Last life isn't technically the same but it's something at least. ANYWAY LMAO i may end up changing the last life plot a bit for dbhc mumbo so that isn't the case (his end crystal kills wouldn't count against his kill count) But the boogeyman thing makes it hard to work around... anyway that's a problem for future shep DLKGFJDFG i'm rambling now <3 this is a really fascinating concept for him, ty for the asks for pondering!! :D

✨ Mr. Dream gang when??!!!!
Tumblr media
LOOK AT THIS SILLY GUY!!!! WHY DOES (ah no, i know why) PEOPLE DON'T LIKE HIM.
Of course, I know that since NES he was just replacement for Mike Tyson because of lack of license from Nintendo and he was just... reskin, that's all. Blanky blank.
Tumblr media
But I wouldn’t be me if something hadn’t appeared in my head when I noticed something uncanny in him. You know... His face, moves and other, all of this seem unnatural. And if unnatural... Could this mean that Dream is not human at all? Judge for yourself, in the last century there could have been development of a hyper-realistic android fighter for pumping out money of course. It never occurred to anyone that he was made of steel, and what theories could people come up with, writing in newspapers and spreading kind of disinformation? Dream was loved and hated, he was always on top, knocking out rivals with a big, hyper punch.
...Until the lethal incident happened.
This caused a stir and of course people began to be more and more interested in Dream's identity, to look for him, and, as it happens, not to give him a breath. Later, society began to ask, like, where did the great champion go, and why?
There were no answers, and the vast expanses simply became quiet.
But.. HEEY, IT'S 2000s!!! I believe that in the PO universe the advanced technology is much more advanced in our world, therefore... New technologies - New Dream!!!
Now he is based on a more trained artificial intelligence, capable of showing feelings and making contact, including physically. Sensors in the eyes, better artificial body parts, muscles, motors and devices similar to processes in the human body... Etc (Maybe I'll even draw an Dream's anatomy.) And also a personal trainer appeared (My OC Nastasia😼), as strange as it may be for a machine, but he really needs to be trained on the basis of real people.
It is obvious that he is trained to 'remember' his 'personal life', like Italian origin or family, and if he suddenly finds out otherwise, he will either have to conflict and experience existential crisis or eliminate those who know it.
There's a some of Dream art!!! (Blood and Gore TW!)
⬇️⬇️⬇️
Tumblr media Tumblr media
1) SECOND BEST EVER MY DREAMIE FANART, baby boy baby.
2) SOMEOF PPL ALREADY SAW IT BUT I DON'T CARE, I LOVE THEM TOO.
Ah yeah blood part.

1) I dunno, should i even warning y'all guys to blue blood?? But, here is!
2) yum✨

I find it weird how Todd is a child abuser, Zlatko experiments on androids and turns them into monstrosities, Perkins betrays and kills Markus but yet Gavin is considered the worst person because he *checks list* doesn't consider androids alive (like almost everyone else in the game at that point) and doesn't trust Connor.
Among those you mention, Gav is by far the most justified. Yet I wanna clear some things up here bc I'm not a hypocrite.
1.) Todd -- who doesn't think androids are alive -- is an android child abuser.
"You don't want anything, you're just a goddamn piece of plastic." - Todd Williams
It's still phcked up that he's abusing/can kill something that resembles a kid to the T, but it's important to make that distinction. We see no proof of him abusing a human child (...even though it can be theorized bc his wife took their kid and left.)
Abusing an android kid is just as bad as abusing a human kid -- we know this -- but Todd doesn't see it that way, so that describes/partly justifies his reasoning. There's no such thing as 'abusing' a machine and that's how Todd sees it.
A lot of ppl are also (wrongly) infantilizing Con, so I'm not surprised that they consider Gav's bad treatment of Con worse than Todd's bad treatment of Alice who is a literal kid. Seems like most of them don't even care about Alice/kids in the 1st place (...and that says everything you need to know about these POS'.)
Mistreating a kid (Alice) is way more abhorrent than mistreating a grown-ass adult (Con.) Alice is also passive while Con often instigates conflict. So Todd is way worse than Gav by that alone.
2.) Zlatko -- who is aware androids are alive -- thinks he's doing them a favor.
"Believe me, you’re better off being erased and feeling nothing… No more pain… No more hopes dashed… I almost envy you." - Zlatko Andronikov
He's the worst among those four, but this is again a scenario where you need to see the situation from his perspective. Yet he knows they're alive/capable of emotions and that makes him a million times worse than Gav.
3.) Perkins -- who is aware androids are alive -- is doing his job.
"That android… [North] You seem to really care about her… You don't want her to die, do you?" - Richard Perkins
...and if the lover status isn't there
"You could have what you've always dreamed of." - Richard Perkins
In Perkins' eyes, it's about national security. Androids have killed humans (Partners/Stormy Night/Broken -- even if Markus didn't actually kill Leo or Carl, that's what the public thinks -- Zlatko/Spare Parts/etc. too many chapters to mention,) destroyed public property (Capitol Park,) hijacked media (The Stratford Tower,) demonstrated illegally (Freedom March,) etc. Not to mention that androids are superior to humans in every way and nothing tells Perkins that they won't eventually get violent if taking the peaceful route.
Yet his knowing androids feel makes him (as Zlatko) a million times worse than Gav.
"'Could always try roughing it up a little. After all, it’s not human…" - Gavin Reed
Meaning Gav doesn't think they're alive (unlike Zlatko and Perkins.)
Gav isn't the only character I (partly) defend on shit like this. I just defend the others 'less' bc 1.) they're worse, and 2.) they don't get nearly as much undeserved vitriol as Gav does. Something that's legitimately insane bc, again, they're way worse by a longshot and I'll explain why down below.
Con stans (fandom majority) are thinking emotionally instead of logically
ppl hate/envy Gav bc he's a conventionally attractive white man (you don't see a lot of Todd, Perkins, Zlatko, Leo, and Allen fans even if there are a minuscule few bc they're not conventionally attractive)
Funny that we don't see a lot of hate for Amanda. An AI or not, she's the worst influence in Con's life with her emotional manipulation. Something way worse than physical abuse. I wonder why... (not really bc *cough* you apparently can't say anything bad about a black woman without being racist/misogynistic *cough*) Ofc there are some ppl that aren't afraid to speak up against her, but it's nothing compared to the shit Gav gets.
It's also why I'm not talking about North often bc the majority are (rightfully) defending her already. My voice isn't needed there. Every single person -- other than me, in my experience -- who defends Gav is being spinelessly backhanded about it.
Defending someone doesn't mean you agree with them or condone their actions. It's simply proof that one has the empathy/critical thinking skills to understand their point of view. Something lacking nowadays.

What was Rose's reaction after watching the soldiers executing both Kara and Alice in front of everybody at the border checkpoint?
Idk people's reactions to the multiple actions we got in the game are so... weird. I know the game is trynna say humans are becoming "machines" (becoming apathetic) but still, it's already dumb PO being useless here, people don't seem to react to a kid being killed even tho they get all "the android got the little girl" when Luther takes her "hostage".

Jeśli ciekawią Cię odpowiedzi, to znajdziesz je niżej.
Platoniczna randka czy prawdziwa? Czy Connor był kiedykolwiek na jakiejkolwiek randce? [aut.] Jeszcze wszystko przed nim! A kiedy to nastąpi, będzie to raczej randka platoniczna. ⠀
Szukasz kogoś do stworzenia wspólnej historii? [aut.] Jeszcze jak! Z otwartymi ramionami przyjmę pozostałe postacie z uniwersum DBH, a także postacie OC. Nie mam też nic przeciwko crossoverom. ⠀
Twój crush. To tajna informacja. ⠀
Czy Connor kogoś kocha? [aut.]
"I've learned a lot since I met you, Connor. Maybe there's something to this. Maybe you really are alive." ⠀
Wymień dwie największe pokusy Connora. [aut.]
Jaki utwór Twoja postać potrafi odtwarzać w kółko? Jakie towarzyszą jej przy tym emocje? O czym myśli? [aut.] Three Days Grace - "I Am Machine".
No i przede wszystkim doceniam jego anielską cierpliwość ^^" ⠀
Oznacz go! [aut.] Jeśli jednak byłby ktoś chętny, to zapraszam ;) ⠀
[do postaci] Jaką książkę ostatnio przeczytałeś?
- Szybsze myślenie i reakcje niż u ludzi. - Zdolność do regeneracji w razie uszkodzeń. - Zdolność do zachowania całkowitej neutralności w analizie sytuacji. IV. Możliwość niemal nieskończonego ulepszania się: - Możliwość aktualizacji i poprawy oprogramowania. - Skanowanie i analizowanie otoczenia w czasie rzeczywistym. - Dostęp do ogromnej bazy wiedzy w ułamku sekundy.
Moja postać w obrazach - moodboard.

I'm gonna ramble some AU's rn lol.
Anyways the first one belongs to @baka-monarch . It's about Android! Dream and Android! Tommy.
I've just seen one post about this so idk if there's more but let's continue. I was thinking about how Dream was described as an old model, and a robot that established being his own identity instead of just the model he is originally from. I'm thinking how he became very beaten up and how he gained this free will.
Maybe when he was created he was designed to be an android guard, or maybe an androide speed runner!! And I think he could have been assigned to work with Sapnap and George (who are humans).
As time passed he learned a lot of things: friendship, happiness, peace, love and just the general concepts of being human thanks to his best friends that helped him discovered he didn't have to be a soulless machine. But then maybe the company sent Dream to a mission he had to complete, and through circumstances he was "killed", Sapnap and George were devastated by the news, but they couldn't do anything at that point (they told them Dream's body was destroyed beyond repair)
But then Dream wakes up in a laboratory, wondering how he got there (he lost his memory). The company would try and experiment on Dream to be able to make him into the perfect weapon, since he showed great potential for it. As the experiments when on he started to remember little things about his past, or more specifically, the essence of being his own identity, his own person, so he gave himself the name Dream to reflect that (he doesn't know that's what his friends called him).
Later with the experiments, he needed to try to work with other androids to find him a partner to work with. This didn't go well because he bonded with them and when the androids ended up being useless, they were killed, and Dream was left devastated (the scientis were struggling to break that part of Dream that thought he could be his own person, could be human. They needed to make not feel any emotions to gain their perfect weapon)
But then Tommy showed up. Since the moment Tommy's eyes opened and looked at Dream, he felt that this android would be different. As the experiments continued, Dream acted protective of him, and cared for him (like an older brother)
And that's pretty much what I've thought so far, I'll try to make another post whnr I have more thoughts about this AU but I just really really love this concept so much!! /pos

Make 10,000 yen a month float! Smartphone usage reform
As a matter of course, we carry our smartphones around and operate them from morning to night.
Alarm clock, SNS, video viewing, shopping, research... The convenience in that hand has become a part of life.
But please stop and think about it. How much do you spend on your smartphone every day?
In fact, smartphones are not "free". Terminal fees, communication fees, and invisible consumption costs are firmly buried in daily living expenses.
This time, let's dig deep into the "invisible cost" of a smartphone and how to use it as a "earning tool" from the perspective of money.
Table of contents
1. Smartphones actually cost almost 200 yen every day?
2. Changing your mind from "using" smartphones to "earning money"
3. You can start easily! 3 ways to earn money with your smartphone
4. Is battery consumption an "invisible waste"?
5. Will 10,000 yen a month float just by reviewing "how to deal with smartphones"?
6. Three awareness reforms to avoid making smartphones a "wasteful machine"
7. At the end ~Smartphones are not "just for consumption"~
━━━━━━━━━━
Smartphones actually cost almost 200 yen every day?
Smartphones are replaced every 4 years. This is average data from the survey of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications and mobile phone carriers.
The latest iPhone models (iPhone 15, etc.) are about 115,000 to 170,000 yen. The previous model (iPhone 14) is about 97,000 to 157,000 yen.
On the other hand, Android is wider, and there are many models in the high price range of 90,000 yen to 270,000 yen.
"The identity of "things that are more important than money" that lead to family collapse"
There are many people who believe and do not doubt that "as long as you have money, you can be happy", which is more important than money to know to avoid divorce, but the reality is not that simple. Somewhere in my life...
If you calculate the cost of replacing these two models every 4 years in "daily units", it will be as follows.
•For iPhone: about 185 yen/day
•For Android: about 192 yen/day
This is the cost of the terminal itself only. If you add communication costs, cases, app charges, etc., it is not surprising that the actual expenditure is 300 yen to 500 yen per day.
In other words, smartphones are tools that consume money with the feeling of buying rice balls and coffee from a cafe at a convenience store every day.
Changing your mind from "using" smartphones to "earning money"
So, will you end this "daily expenditure of 200 yen" with mere wear and tear? No, the answer is NO.
Smartphones are now evolving into a great "profit tool" rather than just an entertainment tool.
Depending on your ingenuity, you can change the 200 yen from "consumption" to "investment".
Below, we will introduce actions that are not a dream to earn more than 200 yen a day with one smartphone.
"Thinking method that doesn't have to worry about money | What is the impact of sexual balance on life"
The key to success in career and money is that there is a misunderstanding of the "role of sex", but there are many people who want to live like themselves, but they have some difficulty in living. The reason for this is surprisingly "...
You can start easily! 3 ways to earn money with your smartphone
(1) Work hard every day with the Poikatsu app
With the representative Poi activity app, you can earn points just by walking and exchange them for cash and electronic money.
•Trima: It is easy to accumulate points depending on the distance traveled.
•Powl: Get points by number of steps. It can be exchanged for PayPay and Rakuten points.
•Aruku& (Arukuto): Health promotion & point reduction just by walking.
If you use more than one of these together, you can expect to earn about 500 yen to 1000 yen per month, which is equivalent to 20 to 50 yen per day.
(2) Gap time profit with the questionnaire app
There are also apps where you can earn points just by answering a short questionnaire.
•D job smartphone work: Earn d points through simple tasks and questionnaires.
•Macromill: The unit price per case is high, and it can be profitable from hundreds of yen to thousands of yen.
You can turn "smartphone time doing nothing" into money in 10 minutes before going to work, on the train, and before going to bed.
Is battery consumption an "invisible waste"?
The battery life of a smartphone depends largely on how you use it.
Always charging, switching apps frequently, running apps in the background... These actions cause battery degradation to be accelerated.
If the battery is weak, the life of the smartphone itself will be shortened, and the replacement cycle will be accelerated = it will lead to an increase in expenses.
The first step to saving money is to extend the life of your smartphone.
The following simple ingenuity will eventually lead to savings of tens of thousands of yen.
•Use in the range of 20-80% battery level
•Avoid high and low temperature environments (especially in the car in summer)
•End unused apps
•Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, location information, etc. are only ON when necessary
"Prepare for diseases unique to women! The charm of the women's medical special contract for prefectural mutual aid
A thorough comparison of the differences between prefectural mutual aid and private insurance! Which choice suits you? This time, I will talk about these questions that readers often ask. I just started living alone...
Will 10,000 yen a month float just by reviewing "how to deal with smartphones"?
Now, let's think about what will happen if you spend 10,000 yen a month from your smartphone.
•Change the smartphone model from a high-end model to a mid-range model (about 20,000-30,000 yen difference)
•Switch the communication fee to a cheap SIM (5,000 yen per month → 1,500 yen per month)
•Profits of about 500 to 1000 yen per month from Poi activities
•2000 to 3,000 yen per month income from questionnaires and cloud work
In this way, it is realistic to float more than 10,000 yen a month just by balancing "how to use" and "how to earn money".
More than 120,000 yen per year. It's an amount of money that can be spent on a little trip or your favorite hobby.
Three awareness reforms to avoid making smartphones a "wasteful machine"
To be honest, smartphones are "tools that are easy to rely on".
Unconscious SNS patrol, endless video viewing, I'm worried about notifications, so my work and housework are not progressing... These are "waste" that takes away not only money but also time and concentration.
Therefore, I will introduce three awareness changes to put smartphones on your "ally".
1 Have a "budget" on how to use your smartphone
Just like the money budget, you will set your own rules, such as "the daily smartphone time is up to 〇" and "SNS is only twice in the morning and twice at night".
Time is as limited as money. Just being aware of it will reduce unnecessary use and improve the quality of life.
"Is it really a good deal to go to the supermarket in search of discounted products? A smart way to save money considering the cost of transportation
Is it a good deal to tour the supermarket discount? The real savings calculation including gasoline bills Recently, no matter where you go, the price increase rush does not stop. In order to reduce expenses even a little, super looking for cheap products...
From a "viewing" smartphone to a "creating" smartphone
It's good to watch videos and SNS, but let's also focus on creating something from them.
Write a blog, take pictures and sell, challenge app development and handmade sales...
The value of a smartphone will change significantly just by changing from a "consumer" to a "producer".
3 Aim to "connect with people" through smartphones
When you feel lonely, your smartphone is not just entertainment, but a window for "connection".
If you are aware of how to use SNS and exchange, it will also be an opportunity to expand human relationships and create new opportunities.
At the end ~Smartphones are not "just for consumption"~
"It costs 200 yen every day on a smartphone" It may be a little shocking to hear that for the first time.
But depending on how you perceive it, the flow of life will change.
Depending on how you use it, smartphones can be the "culprit of waste" and "the starting point of secondary income".
If you use it as a tool to earn at your own pace while saving money, you will be able to enrich your life without difficulty.
In the coming era, smartphones are not just "convenient goods".
Express yourself, connect with someone, accumulate small profits, and have a perspective to use it as a "partner" that supports self-growth.
Why don't you incorporate such awareness a little from today?
The moment when your smartphone changes from an "being that steals money" to an "being that creates money" may be right there unexpectedly.
