Books I Have Read:

My Review....This book kept popping up in magazine book reviews, everyone having great things to say about it, so I went with it and got myself a copy. I must admit, though I knew nothing of Anh Do before I began reading, he's one very likeable guy. I marvelled at the luck his family had in surviving their perilous boat trip from Vietnam, I enjoyed reading how they quickly turned their lives around by hard work and positive attitudes, suffering many knock backs but thankfully not much in the way of overt racism. Large families all have their problems but with buckets of optimism this family made a new home, found new friends and made it a rule, to always help others less fortunate than themselves. The writing style is friendly and flows from one thought to the next easily, like any good conversation - 4 stars

🖤 Black or White 🤍 I just can't decide which background I like best! I've been stuck with my black dining table for photos till recently when we got white study desks for the boys... what's your preference? 🦄 I read Golden Unicorn (Rise of the Mythix) by Anh Do on Saturday and really enjoyed it. Loved the illustrations & protagonist, Kelly Swift, is brave, resilient, and keen to correct injustice. I do hope we see the sequel soon. امضای تفاهم‌نامه‌ی ساخت چهار سردخانه در بلخ و توزیع وسایل به ۱۶۴ باغدار در کابل امضای تفاهم‌نامه‌ی ساخت چهار سردخانه در بلخ و توزیع وسایل به ۱۶۴ باغدار در کابل به نقل از دفتر مطبوعاتی وزارت زراعت،آبیاری و مالداری: تفاهم‌نامه‌ی ساخت چهار باب سردخانه‌ی صفر انرژی انار، برای باغداران پیش‌تاز ولسوالی خلم ولایت بلخ از سوی نصیراحمد در��نی وزیر زراعت، آبیاری و مالداری با یک مؤسسه‌ی همکار امضا و وسایل برداشت میوه به باغداران پیش‌تاز ولسوالی‌های پغمان، خاک جبار و چهارآسیاب ولایت کابل، توزیع شد.این تفاهم‌نامه میان وزارت زراعت و مؤسسه‌ی ملی انکشاف باغداری افغانستان «ANHDO» در فارم تحقیقاتی بادام‌باغ امضا شد. هم‌چنان در این برنامه، به باغداران پیش‌تاز سه ولسوالی، وسایل برداشت معیاری میوه توزیع شد.بر اساس این تفاهم‌نامه میان وزارت زراعت و مؤسسه‌ی ملی انکشاف باغداری افغانستان، قرار است برای نگهداری محصولات انار باغداران پیش‌تاز در ولسوالی خلم ولایت بلخ، چهار سردخانه ساخته شود. نصیراحمد درانی، وزیر زراعت، آبیاری و مالداری در همایش امضای این تفاهم‌نامه گفت: «این سردخانه‌ها، برای باغداران پیش‌تاز این ولسوالی ولایت بلخ، به هزینه‌ی جمعی پنج میلیون و ۶۰۰ هزار افغانی ساخته می‌شود.»آقای درانی افزود: «هم‌چنان امروز برای ۱۶۴ باغدار پیش‌تاز دیگر در ولسوالی‌های پغمان، خاک جبار و چهارآسیاب ولایت کابل، وسایل برداشت حاصلات میوه توزیع کردیم.»وزیر زراعت گفت که هزینه‌ی مجموعی ساخت سردخانه‌ها و توزیع وسایل برداشت حاصلات باغداری هشت میلیون و ۵۸۹ هزار و ۳۵۶ افغانی می‌شود. از این میان، ۷۰ درصد آن که شش میلیون و ۱۲ هزار و ۵۴۹ افغانی می‌شود، از سوی مؤسسه‌ی «اندو» پرداخته شده و تنها ۳۰ درصد باقی‌مانده را باغداران می‌پردازند.این سردخانه‌‌ها و وسایل برداشت محصولات باغداری به کمک مالی اتحادیه اروپا ساخته و توزیع می‌شود.گونزالو سرانو دی‌لاروسا معاون اتحادیه اروپا در افغانستان، در مراسم امضای این تفاهم‌نامه گفت که این اتحادیه به ادامه‌ی همکاری‌هایش با افغانستان متعهد است. او گفت که هدف اتحادیه اروپا از این کمک‌ها کاهش فقر در افغانستان است. معاون اتحادیه اروپا تاکید کرد که اروپا برای کمک به آسیب‌دیدگان خشک‌سالی در افغانستان نیز آماده‌ی کمک و همکاری است.هم‌چنین نجیب‌الله عنایت رییس موسسه ملی انکشاف باغداری افغانستان، می‌گوید که هدف از این اقدامات بهبود و مدرن‌سازی روش‌های باغداری، نگهداری بهتر حاصلات میوه‌جات و افزایش درآمد باغداران است. آقای عنایت گفت که براساس این تفاهم‌نامه، به ۱۰۲ باغدار پیش‌تاز در پغمان، ۳۲ باغدار پیش‌تاز در چهارآسیاب و ۳۰ باغدار پیش‌تاز در ولسوالی خاک جبار وسایل برداشت میوه توزیع کرد. منبع: مرکز اطلاعات و رسانه های حکومت
