Week 27 Summary

Personal Branding

I finished my website ready for hand in and I am really pleased with it, I have had positive reactions from both friends/students and tutors. I think that even though I have completed it for hand in, I will also continue to work on it over the summer and keep it up to date throughout next year and onward.

Research Report

I tweaked my report after my meeting with my tutor. She said to tweak my more opinionated sentences to neutral ones change the citations a little bit. However, now I have got it to a stage I can hand it in, but I think I will continue researching over the summer, so that I don’t have as much to do when we get back in September.

Animation Collaboration

This week was very stressful as I thought it would be straight forward to animate what my idea was, however as I had left a lot of it left until this week I was cramming a large amounts of hours in one sitting to get my animation complete, I had a few obstacles such as tweaking things in After Effects and it rearranging everything. I spent an entire day redoing what I had done the day before because of this. However, within a few days I had completed the animation, recorder sound, added it to my animation and put it together as a group ready for hand in. I really enjoyed this technique, although I wish I had had more time to add detail to my assets. I think that over the summer I will continue to practice this technique to aid myself for next year and to update my website and showreel.

Week 26 Summary

Animation Collaboration

This week I got a bit more into this project and starting to develop the first scene out of the three and when we showed our work to the tutor they corrected me on a few things such a jumping camera and colour scheme. I am now testing out other colour palettes and how that affects my scenes. Hopefully next week I will solely be working on my animation ready for hand in, this process has proven to be a challenge, but I am determined to get a completed animation from it.

Research Report

I have written my essay in preparation for speaking with my tutor next week. I have accumulated a lot of research so I am pleased with my bibliography, but I have still to develop a full chapter contents. After being unable to get a slot to meet with my tutor this week I sent her it via email. She gave me some very detailed feedback and I began working on her improvements such as rearranging the order of my text to fit more chronologically.

Personal Branding

I have just been editing a few parts of my website such as adding the programs that I know to my About Me page. I also confirmed by colour palette and logo for the website. This project is more or less finished apart from some possible tweaking after my meeting with my tutor next week.

Week 25 Summary

Animation Collaboration

As I have put a lot of effort into getting my website sorted and getting my research done for my essay I have not been working on my animation collaboration project as much as I should have by this point. Health wise I hit a bit of a wall, so I have just been trying to get into the right mentality by catching up on work such as Tumblr posts and research.
