A little animation thing I've been working on. One of the few that I've completely colored in. I included the process, starting with: 12 fps version, 24 fps version, linework, cleanup and finally the final version. Took me about two days and a half. Exercises

I really hope i didn’t musunderstand this brief...

Due to the current pandemic, the specifics of the brief has changed and we can deviate from After Effects. As much as I wanted to build my skills in After Effects, unfortunately my laptop has battery issues and I can’t fix it these days which is upsetting. However I can work on Procreate from my iPad so I will try to work on this project to the best of my ability.

I researched a bit to look into different exercises for inspiration and something helpful for animators.

I found these diagrams helpful, they provide a visual example of how to properly stretch - so animating them would only require me to figure out the inbetweens if I’m doing it in 2D.

The one exercise that we have done is a general finger stretch, from a closed fist -> open, stretched hand. And here are a few basic sketch ideas I have so far:
