I never understood antivaxxers. Yesterday, I told my grandma that one of teachers were antivax, and she was absolutely shocked.

She said when she was younger, people were still getting polio. Everyone would get a ring of shots in the arm that would scab over to prevent it. And she said she remembered it VERY clearly because she wanted to pick the scab off, but her mother (or Mama as she called her) wouldn't let her.

My job requires me to answer phones where I then get to listen to people tell me vaccines are killing people, masks give you C02 poisoning, and the government is violating the Nuremberg Codes and Geneva Convention by vaccinating people. Also throw in a little conspiracy that the virus was created by the government to kill us all and some ranting about violating the constitution.

Completely unrelated, beware. I just wanted to brag somewhere because I am so very angry and sad. We are the first in the world regarding the current spread of Covid right now. We have what, 50 something percent of population vaccinated? Yay, go anitvaxxers! And now, as I'm watching Instagram stories of people from Germany, France, Brazil, US, Estonia, or literally all over the world going to bars, concerts, choir or whatever rehearsals, hanging out with friends etc., etc., we are gonna be sitting at home doing nothing of that for months because half of our nation think they are smarter than the other half, smarter than our doctors, smarter than people of other nations and doctors and scientists of other nations. They are smarter than everybody and are the ones who know "the truth" apparently. We really are the very bottom of Europe in every possible way. Thanks, anitvaxxers. Now people who had a life and events to look forward to have exactly as much as you do, only a computer, TV and maybe one or two friends to meet and nothing outside of that. No choirs, bands, sports teams, friend groups, concerts to go to, places to eat outside of home or hang out at, just to name a few.

Unpopular Opinion

Antivaxxers are hypocrites. Plain and simple.

How? They are all adults that have been vaccinated when they were children, and are now saying they will not do the same thing for their own children.

Anitvaxxer: I had a childhood without a threat of catching life altering, if not, deadly diseases cause my parents had me vaccinated Also Antivaxxer: I will now deny my children of having such a safe childhood by refusing to vaccinate them

I call bullshit. I also wonder how proud their parents are, as said parents lived through those eras when such diseases were prevalent and were forced to watch their childhood friends become crippled or die.

Why do I bring this up? Because there has been an outbreak of the Measles in the region in which I live in, and the numbers of those infected have been rising ever since.
