My dumb ass: I can definitely sew a stuffed dog from scratch from a pattern I haven’t seen before in two nights. I’ve got this.

The pattern: trace pattern piece, add your own seam allowance, pin the pieces together, then tack them, thennn sew them. And sew on the line. And don’t forget all the darts. And all the hand sewn parts. And also for some reason you sew the eyes on last after it’s all assembled, and the puppy has a cute little patch around his eye and that alone is like six steps??

Being in a data governance class makes it so weird to watch the shit that tech giants are continuously pulling. I see them mass data scraping for AI training and I'm like. But Wait. What about GDPR??? Hello??? User privacy and right to access/correct/delete??? I know that's an EU thing but other places have their own data protection acts too!!! And they're pulling these moves that communicate such flagrant disrespect and irresponsibility for the handling of user data.

In the IT courses I've taken, they've taught us something that's really stuck with me: "Just because we can doesn't mean we should."

My data governance professor keeps emphasizing that as IT personnel, we will need to have a much higher sense of integrity than most other fields bc we have access to SO MUCH SHIT. IT and tech industries are so under-regulated bc of how relatively new it all is and how slow the law moves. But people in charge of handling user data should keep in mind that this is data about Real People, and capitalizing off of it is a violation of privacy.

But tech giants don't care. They'll keep poking and prodding, trying to capitalize off of users' data in order to earn as much money as they can. Data regulations like GDPR exist, but they don't cover everyone, and tech giants are more of "Do First, ask forgiveness later". Or in this case, pay the fines later. Bc if they violate GDPR, they Will be paying fines. And maybe they'll even change the way they handle the data... for EU citizens.

The rest of us are fucked tho. Tech giants really don't care. They just view us as assets to profit off of.

damn okay i cant wait to hear what franks reasoning was here. because he never wanted to kill daredevil so he doesnt have a fundamental issue with masked vigilantes, so its gotta be about hector personally. maybe he thinks hector actually did kill that cop? but that would be stupid because all he has to do is ask matt about it then hell be like "oh shit he was innocent well my bad ig". which would be weird for a character who is so staunch about never taking innocent victims by accident.

or theres some secret third thing that we dont know about? because if the punisher killed an innocent person, its because either a) he didnt think he was innocent, or b) his moral compass is now fucked. and the latter would be stupid because his code is what makes him compelling as a character.

so my guess is theres something else going on, maybe to do with why the witness changed his story? but that felt more like a plot point to force the white tiger thing. and if frank is after the witness, why kill hector about it?

but tbh, they can do whatever they want as long as they can sell me on it. it just has to make sense with the character.

It has, once again, been more than a month ever since I updated iAL.

Things happened, but work-wise and personally, there was a big scare in the family and other stuff. I also moved back to Italy and let me tell you, moving Countries is hard on the way back. It's one thing to go to UK with 2 suitcases and 600 euros to your name, and then to go back as a person with a whole life, and things.

I have for about ten minutes a few years ago. (By a few, uh... quite a few.) I was recommended it after pouring an unhealthy number of hours into Assassins Creed Syndicate. That "era" is my area of historical specialism (yeah, my faculty rib me about being a boring old fart all the time, lmao), so people see something vaguely "aesthetic" in that direction and ping it through.

But like most things during that period of my life, I either became obsessed or couldn't focus on it for more than ten minutes. I should definitely revisit it at some point
