I run a site called Wild Mystic Woman where I center the stories, art and magic of women and femmes of colour. My work explores the intersecting themes of spirituality, creativity, feminism, business, leadership, and sacred activism. As an East African, Arab, British, Muslim and intersectional feminist, living in the Middle East (Qatar), and sharing my work with the global community, I believe I stand at a diverse intersection of identities, from which I am able to draw rich and intriguing perspectives. . Many of you recently found me due to the recent social media attack that was launched on me by unknown individuals who were offended by both my sharing of experiences of racism, and my unapologetic (but completely non-abusive) setting of clear boundaries with wyt women who were repeatedly disrespecting my requests. I have up until now been quite an open book - sharing my experiences and thoughts freely and without fear of punishment for simply speaking my mind. Following what transpired this week however, I have had to make my account private and seriously re-consider how I want to use my social media spaces, since they are no longer truly safe spaces for me as a black woman and a writer. . Despite the fact that Facebook have removed and not reinstated my post on my Personal Guidelines of Engagement for my social media spaces, I still hold them anyways. . In a nutshell, these guidelines are as follows: . This is a black people and people of colour centering space. Meaning: In this space, the voices and truths of people of colour will be continuously centered, uplifted, affirmed, celebrated and protected. I do not tolerate from wyt people - white-centering, tone-policing, spiritual bypassing, demands for free emotional labour from people of colour or people of colour being made to defend their humanity or justify their lived experiences. I am firm on this.

I have been in a process of dropping tons of spiritual new-age fluff and deeply embracing what is grounded, present, and feels aligned with Truth & Love... even if it doesn't sparkle. I'm curious, how many of you out there have become disenchanted with the new age belief system?! I feel like I am one of many. There came a certain point where I realized that so much of what I was basing my reality on wasn't actually serving me. It didn't feel authentic to my soul where I am on my evolutionary journey as I change and transform... and honestly, I feel embodiment has a lot to do with that. I feel that real, genuine grounding and choosing not to bypass or be in "higher realms" has been changing me from the inside out in a way that feels tangible, aligned, and FREEING. I am still in the process of turning within (always unfolding ❤️) so I just wanted to open up the conversation more. Who else has been going through something similar? Does this resonate? . Bless us all on our path of embodiment. I feel that authentically bridging heaven to earth and God to humanity requires deep self-honesty and rectifying all the places we trade Truth in for watered-down bite-sized shiny beliefs & ways of being. Ancient recesses like caverns clad in honey and gold within my soul became illuminated by the light of the white rose. Eons of sorrow and helplessness fell as ash to my feet.
