There are lots of modern aus with rockstar Eddie, and actor or professional sportsman Steve but I propose professional wrestler Steddie. I know this is niche, but hear me out. Wrestling is the perfect mix of sports (Steve) and drama/ camp (Eddie). 

You have a baby face Steve Harrington, who the crowd adores because he’s charismatic on the mic and not afraid to get a little bloody in his matches. Then you have heel Eddie who the crowd loves to hate. He’s got a Lost Boys-style vampire gimmick going on, heavy metal entrance music and has adopted the habit of walking in through the crowds. He’s amazing in tables matches and will take any opportunity to do a choke slam through the announce desk. 

The two don’t face each other in the ring often because Steve’s in a longtime feud with Billy Hargrove, whose a hell of a heel but downright dangerous in and out of the ring. He often refuses to sell for Steve and to make matters worse he’s a fan of not pulling his punches. 

Eddie and Steve don’t talk much in the locker rooms, they run in different circles and Eddie has the sneaking suspicion Steve is a stuck-up asshole (he’s not).  

They end up in a Royal Rumble match, where thirty-odd competitors get in a ring and fight to be the last one standing. Eddie’s sticking to the script. He keeps close to the guy he’s in a feud with until he catches Steve take a bump out of the corner of his eye. Billy’s on him and he’s not pulling his punches. Steve’s nose is gushing. The producers will be pissed because the T.V. network is getting squeamish about showing lots of blood. It’s not the 80s anymore. People don’t do that. 

Against his better judgment, Eddie decides to go off script. He takes Billy by surprise and manages to get him over the top rope. He wasn’t supposed to win anyway, so it wasn’t like they were going to dock his pay. He might get hazed in the locker room but that was a worry for another day. 

To Eddie’s surprise, Steve looks at him and shoots him a brilliant smile, his teeth filled with blood, his eyes shimmering with mischief. Someone tries to grapple with Eddie from behind but Steve intercepts, saving his ass. Eddie wasn’t meant to win the match either but he wanted as much airtime as he could get. He hates to admit it but he and Steve make a good team. Viewers seemed to agree. 

The next day Eddie is approached by his manager, telling him the higher-ups want him and Steve as a tag team. Which means one of two things. He and Steve were going to see a lot more of one another, and for once, Eddie was going to have to play the role of the good guy. It ends with them getting up way too close and personal in practice and pining hard over one another.

headcanon that scorpius was a sick child and was in and out of hospital constantly, perhaps related to astoria's blood curse but not directly. his immune system isnt very strong, and everytime he gets sick they're terrified that it's the blood curse but also whatever else it could be, because it's always so sudden and so intense and they call healers over to the house who recommend this delirious feverish 4 year old is hospitalised immediately, and you'd think it'd get easier to some extent because they'd be used to it, but everytime they feel like this is it, this is the time he'll walk in to the hospital and not walk out again

i am so sorry for bothering you but. i have a few questions. Do you have any tips or books/youtube videos to help people interested in making comics or webcomics? and, also, how big do you make your canvas & is it the same size on your site (to read your comic)?

supereyepatchwolf on youtube has a few vids talking about manga, I especially like the chainsaw man one where he talks about how the author doesn't have the most polished style but the layout/composition/panelling is insane. There's another one he does about gantz where he talks about empty space can be used to make a lonely feeling. Those are more about the specific titles than comic making 😅but they defs inspired me haha

I watch a lot of video essays about movies and shows and they make me wanna go out and tell more stories 😤🫶 (breadsword, ladyknighhtthebrave, hazel... etc)

I haven't read any specific comic-making advice books? I just read a lot of manga/comics and stare at the things I like in them. Off the top of my head, One Piece, Anya's Ghost, and The Adventures Of Dr. Mcninja are all fun.

A more succinct advice book I think is The Animator's Survival Kit by Richard Williams. It's about animation, but comics has always felt kind of like a cousin. You're still making movement and timing look good, but it's in more select snapshots. (Though the advice about not listening to music while you're working is not for me 😂)

Also Griz and Norm have this really cool book of drawing tips that I want to get one day, but I think you can find everything as individual posts online too.

I usually work with 1650x2550px 72ppi for digital stuff, and 300ppi for print stuff. This is coming from a rube in all computer matters though, so take it with a grain of salt. It should be the same size on my site unless posting it somehow altered it w/o me knowing 😅

I know that we’ve been talking about MD au a lot but I was just reminded of the Poké Rides existing in Alola from Sun and Moon.

Specifically Machamp Shove.

I just had the mental image that once Ingo’s Machoke evolved it loves to just grab and carry around it’s trainer once it notices he is exhausted.

I know it’s more popular to have Sneasler shove him into the basket but this could show how much of an bond he’s got with his new Hisui team!

Machamp(Machoke too)also being encouraging to Ingo to train a little to keep in good and healthy shape is also an very wholesome image. It’s the most encouraging fitness trainer you could imagine. (if you like bone crushing hugs)

It’s funny you bring this up because I have a draft right now involving Ingo and his machamp haha. It’s just a nothing-drabble about his machamp trying to ease the tightness in his back. But it is very strong. Very very strong. Pesselle is like Ingo what happened to your back and Ingo is like machamp happened lol.

BESIDES THAT I REALLY LIKE THIS THOUGHT!! Machamp would love to help him out, always did as a machoke, and it’s even more eager to now that it’s evolved, but isn’t quite sure of its strength yet and can go a little overboard.

AND HIM TRAINING WITH MACHAMP IS GREAT!! With four arms, it would be an exceptional rock-climbing buddy!! And then Ingo could use machamp as an excuse to ward off Gaeric — Oh sorry Gaeric, I’m already training with machamp. It’s a shame I can’t go run around the entirety of the Icelands with you while dragging an Avalugg behind me. I’d love to if I could though, really! But I can’t, darn. Next time, maybe?

Jay was the first to hold the IWGP US championship, Juice the one to finally dethrone him, and Finlay, after chasing it so long but never actually winning it, its destroyer.

David’s been haunted by that belt ever since Jay betrayed him after their match for it. He had to watch Juice, his tag partner and best friend succeed where he failed at, then not even get close to the singles title picture for years (sidelined with injury or only booked for tag matches), and then get betrayed by his partner who straight up steals the title. He’d defeat Juice and keep the title safe till he defeated its champ in a non title match, finally getting his chance and!… fail again. Yeah i’d feel like wanting to destroy the damn thing too.

So thats why i very much enjoy David now being the inaugural champ for its replacement :) kinda tragic that turning evil and getting rid of it was what it took for him to finally get a win over the US title, isnt it :)c

I also like that Finlay got the pin on Ospreay where he couldnt before – as he first broke into the singles division, with defeating Jay in the 2021 NJ Cup (single elimination tournament), he fell short to Will in the semi-final. In 2022s G1 tournament (round-robin situation) he got a win over Will, but in the resulting US title match fell short again. In the quarter finals for the following year’s G1 he’d again be eliminated by Ospreay. That dude’s been a thorn in his side.

oh and I also like that it gives Debbie pathetic heel points cause he had to become his worst self to finally get that win and the title whos predecessor is connected to both his former best friends :3 i hope he sits somewhere and is pissed about Jay and Juice having been right on turning evil

i said this recently but now is still a really good time to get into stardom. there are two brand new major factions, one goth heel faction and one face zoomer rainbow faction. i’m not sure where they’re going with either faction but i’m excited to find out. there are a lot of exciting things happening around the championship belts and the beloved/popular factions as well.

the 5 star grand prix tournament just ended. if you’re looking for specific matches or characters to catch up on, i recommend maika and tam’s 5 star gp story arcs, and of course anna jay if you’re an AEW fan. a lot of backstage comments can be found with english subtitles on the international stardom twitter!

you can watch stardom through stardom world, or if you’re pirating just search the video section on VK with the show name and date (you don’t need an account). there’s some stuff, including some of anna jay’s matches, for free on the official youtube channel as well. DM me if you’re looking for specific links.

lastly other than the emotional stories and the incredible in-ring work, i want to stress how amazing the presentation is on PPVs. seriously, if you’re on twitter, please look up the stardom hashtag and filter by media to see some amazing fan photography and maybe a clip or two. the aesthetics of this promotion are out of this world and you can tell how hard the wrestlers work on their looks, gear, mannerisms, etc, all to be in line with the character they portray in the ring as well.
