Not to be a dick but let people enjoy stuff. This show and finale was good. And to get upset with people because they enjoyed it, is so fucking dumb. So there is a good chance that the Methodist Church of the United States (a Christian denomination with a central conference) is gearing up for a second major vote on same sex marriage and membership. Congregations are lining up as conservative or liberal, and this could conceivably cause a rift in the denomination that will split it in two.

So, my mother's best friend is a lifelong Methodist. She suspects that her congregation (small town deep south) will be voting conservative and this saddens her.

Mom: She's been going there for decades, but if they vote against gay marriage, she has decided she has to leave because she has a lesbian granddaughter. Which is understandable.

Me, my mother's queer and out ace lesbian child: *looks into the camera like I'm on the Office because my mother is still an active member of one of the most anti-queer/anti-women denominations in the world*
