okokok I found the perfect most BEAUTIFUL copy of the secret history to replace my other one but its just to have no one let me read it or I'll go rabid
#i started to read the spanish copy i had to practice my spanish but then my eyes started to glaze over and i started to convulse#so i had to stop#anyway i was complaining the other day about all the different editions of tsh and how i didnt like anyone#BUT then i found this person on etsy that does these gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous rebinds#the covers they make look kinda like the covers on books from the everyman's library set#it's . pricey . its $60 BUT free shipping and its like my favorite book ever and i dont want any of the other editions and its beautiful#its justifiable#i usually go for copies of classics from the 80s that are gross and old and were printed a million and seven times#and theyre like $3 from a used bookstore#but sometimes when you collect things you have to spend some money on them. unfortunate how that works out#**didnt like anyone -> didnt like any of them#also $60 is low tbh for what it is. i expected it to be like $90 and i probably wouldve coughed up $75 if pressed
