Wowa! Here's Edinburgh from the stream! She's large, intelligent, and maybe a low-key mad scientist.
btw that little drawing of her and Reykjavik is based on them both having "smoke" associated names. Reykjavik means "smokey bay" and Edinburgh has the nickname "Auld Reekie" meaning "Old Smokey." I just thought it'd be cute

Scotland and Norway played against each-other in the qualification for the European Championship in football, and so Oslo was flooded with Scots that one weekend in June. Some of them were surprised it was so hot in Norway 😅 but luckily most of them were wearing kilts, giving more ventilation...

“I really hope someone would devote more research to this though. If we can just figure out what causes the fatal reactions seen thus far, I believe that blood transfusion has the potential to save a lot of lives.
As for the matter or organ transplants... I admit, I find it difficult to wrap my head around the idea. We can come back to that once we’ve figured out the whole blood compatibility bit --- I’m almost completely sure the two go hand in hand.
Hey, we figured out the whole germs ordeal, I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before someone out there figures this out!”
if you were interested, here’s a previous ask that’s sort of related to this one and touches on some nation biology!
and yes, in the 1600s, animal blood was used for blood transfusions. later on, around the 1870s, goat milk and cow milk was used as a substitute for blood in hopes that it might not cause the same reaction that transfusing regular blood garnered. this was eventually discontinued and replaced with saline solution when milk started causing adverse reactions in patients too. here’s an awesome quick rundown on the red cross website on the history of transfusions if you wanna read on!

The Hope of Scotland
For years Siobhan Wiland had suffered under the hand of the watchful eye of the world. She had to be what it wanted, the image that everybody wanted and dreamed, but for her, it was an eternal hell. Yet her only escape was her dreams. Powerful women that took no excuses and carried their heads high were her idols, but when she is told to go to Scotland and find them, it's then she realizes there's more to her life than she presumed.
