9th CHALLENGE: Childs’ Day

Since it’s the “Child’s Day” challenge and to make it interesting, I will give some options in “what characters are allowed” to use:

1) Every nation but ONLY IN CHIBI VERSION/ STYLE

For example, you have the Chibi style that Himaruya as reference

OR

2) YOUNGER VERSION of the nations

For example, you have young Russia, Netherlands, Belgium, Romano, England, France, Ukraine, Hong Kong, Macau, Italy, Prussia, Spain (generally as a child, but also as a “younger version”) … but you can also imagine how would be other nations as a child or teenagers

OR

3) Characters that look like a child or “young”/ teenager

It’s tricky to add teenager characters, when most of them look like really young and there isn’t an “official” age for them (not historically, but aesthetically/ physically speaking) … but headcanons are allowed, so there are no problems!

Some (personal) examples: (look like a child) Moldova, Wy, Kugelmugel, …; (look “young”/ teenager) Hong Kong, Iceland, Seborga, Liechtenstein, Czech Republic, Seychelles, …

10th CHALLENGE: Recycle, Reduce, Reutilize

The nations do care about the environment and the pollution (by the way, the World Day of Environment was last day 05). Actually, how not care? 

Remember that one time when Germany and North Italy were in Turkey sightseeing and a thief appear, and how Turkey punched him? Well, I believe that the same way that the countries care about how others look at them, they also care about environment (or at least keeping his house clean… like Monaco and Netherlands) because their clean house/ environment is their image. Never forget that Hong Kong asked Japan to help him to “purify” his house’ air.

And due to the actual reality, I think people have enough time to recycle.

(To be honest, I don’t know how the Hetalia fandom doesn’t have (almost) anything related to the environment (something like a “green zone section”). This was the first idea that I had for a challenge… my main and personal purpose to create this page)

It isn’t a specific challenge for writing, you can use it also as a fanart challenge. But since we don’t get enough writing works, I decided to test if it was because I wasn’t stimulating it in that direction.

Hey hetalia fandom!

I will be going to an academic conference next semester and I will be writing about my experiences as a Mexican American in fandom as well as representation or lack thereof of Latinos in fandom and fanfiction.

I would really appreciate your help with this project and there are a few ways you can do that.

Recommend a fic that you believe is a good representation of the modern hetalia fandom! It can be shippy or genfic.

Recommend a fic that you feel is representative of the older fandom! let's say before 2015.

Recommend a fic that you think handles latino characters and representation very well or very badly.

If you are a Latino fan, and are comfortable please tell me about your experiences in the fandom, how do you navigate it in relation to your identity? How do you feel your identity is represented?

If you have a Mexico, Mexican American or Latin American oc, tell me about them! What went into their creation? How do you feel about Latin American ocs in general?
