But, as much as Lily hated James Potter, Jess loved Sirius Black. And he loved her too. But with their best friends hating each other, it seemed unlikely that they would ever have a chance to act on those feelings. Even if they could have, they were a bit busy with a war, blood feuds, secret organizations, and trying to pass their OWLs. Oh, and let’s not forget, a sickness that seemed to only be affecting muggle-borns like Jess and Lily.

Hmmm... I don't really have any favourite actors or actresses because I don't follow the industry beyond the franchises and characters portrayed, but actors like Evan Peters, Song Seung-Heon, Bruce Campbell, Joseph Quinn, Brendan Fraser, Eddie Murphy, Tim Curry and John Malkovich spring to mind. And for actresses, uhh... Definitely Kathy Bates!!! Also Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Jenna Ortega, Lupita Nyong'o, Go Ara... I can't really think of anyone else I especially enjoy. And even then, I wouldn't say I go out of my way to watch their filmographies but if they're in something, I'll at least consider watching it with a bit more weight than I otherwise would .💓

We will not always be here, you and I.

These bodies are not forever and yet we swallow so much thinking we have all the time in the world to do as we wish. We clutch our feelings close to us, trying to obscure them against the very skin that yearns for the touch of them. We silence our thoughts, never giving brilliant ideas the light of day.

We bury “I love you”, “I miss you” and “I’m thinking about you” so we don’t seem emotional, weak or vulnerable.

We have few precious breaths on this planet, a finite number of days in which to weave our beautiful stories through the tapestry of time.

The soul may live on eternal, but this Earthly form doesn’t.

Eventually we all return to stardust once more.

We as mortal beings on this planet are here to experience a short-term reality, one that is jam-packed with experiences on this roller-coaster we call life.

All the ups, downs and creamy middles are ours to embrace with arms wide open.

I'm Zephan, I'm an intern at ARAS, and I'm very interested in symbols, dreams, consciousness, and art that portrays those things. I feel like dreams can act as a sort of portal into the unconscious, showing us our true unfiltered emotions and what we would call the soul. Henry Fuseli's The Nightmare is one particular work that caught my attention for the way it represents dreams. The expressions of the figures and the lighting depicted show a specific feeling and add to the atmosphere which isn't exactly "scary" as much as simply surreal.
