THIS IS THE FIRST PART.

idk why but i wanna show tumblr my aranara quests themed custom tarot deck lmao. i finished it in february but since i created this acc just recently, i gotta put it here now. im just really proud of this project and the fact that i actually finished it.

unfortunately tumblr will only allow me to add 10 pics per post, while there are 23 cards, so that kinda sucks. will have to separate em it seems. i'll also explain a little about my choices on these. so here we go, first ten.

0 the fool - "where the journey begins". i think its already a tradition to put some main figure on the fool card and so did i. glad i used his correct design for the card-

basically theres nothing to explain except for the monarch butterfly symbolism, which usually is a sign of a chosen. not like Arama is any "chosen" in a common sense, but i felt like adding this anyway. 6/10 nice Arama card.

I the magican - creation and manipulation. Aranimba got here for his exclusive sense of beauty and the will to create the beauty. he is an artist after all.

the story of the bg is kinda wonky. it was at release of 3.4 and due to my disappointment i made a pic where Aranimba points at that shiny cave northwest the mt. damavand with excitement. well, now its a boss enterance, but back then i had no clue, i made it literally at the release day lol. but it worked well on the bg of this card. i think you wouldnt guess it was that cave if i didnt tell, and that was done on purpose as well. 8/10 for backstory, and im proud of this card overall.

II the high priestess - waiting for the impulse from outside, confidence. first of all, the high priestess to me was always associated with some whimsy loud woman, and if you ask me, this is where Arapacati fits. however here she is depressively hugging a viparyas cuz she kicked her brothers a decade ago and now shes sad. what did i tell u about whimsy woman? 6/10, solid.

III the empress - the mother, fertility, the birth of a new. THIS IS WHERE WE STARTED, THE MAMA. no need to explain why i put Rukkhadevata here? 6/10, i struggled with this card cuz i hate drawing people, but it came out solid imo.

IV the emperor - the father, discipline, responsibility. to remind you, Araja is basically the one who runs the Vanarana dream realm, the tree of dreams. he is also here for a very simple reason because of being a big boss here, and looking like one as well. 7/10, nice mustache.

V the hierophant - attention to visible and invisible, search of the essence. if you ask me why i put Arapandu here, theres my answer - because he was the only major character who didnt have a card in the process of planning. i have some really vague explaination why exactly on hierophant, its mostly because of Varunastra actually, not Arapandu. i honestly dont have any emotional connection to Arapandu, he's kinda boring. 4/10.

VI the lovers - chosen by heart, determination and aspiration. ONLY BECAUSE OF SUCH INTERPRETATION. im against shipping aranara x anyone.

i think i wouldnt even make any better choice for this card whatsoever. they are here because they share dreams and aspirations and i really love their duet. 9/10 i teared.

VII the chariot - knowledge of the world, searching for the new. these goofy guys are here mostly because of "searching for the new", even though their methods were unsafe and archon knows what would happen to these dummies without any sense of self-preservation if we werent around. fact: they've been wondering for at least 4 years, but i love to say a decade. nay, theyre just very lucky. 5/10.

VIII justice - "play nice, and others will play nice with you". this is a card for Nara Varuna specifically and i decided to make both Lumine and Aether so that everyone will be satisfied. since Nara Varuna did nice in the past, all the aranara praise their name in the present.

the bg is again kinda symbolic. these are runes on Varuna contraption: "the water", when the rain pours, for Lumine, and "the sky", when its sunny, for Aether. i only hate how i made them so vague that theyre barely recognizable eh. but overall good cards, 6/10.

Wait, so you're telling me the seed I was carrying in my back pocket for the past 5.5 months was an aranara the Entire Time?!?

I (the Traveler) literally could have thought to put the seed in water at any point and just.... Didn't.

i think i havent drawn him with a pad up until this moment. hes a proud artist after all.

i once had an idea of creating a fake art account for aranimba but im not as encouraged to make complicated illustrations so frequently. well, not like his drawings are super complicated, but it still takes a lot of time that i dont have.

alongside with drawing aranimba i always remind myself aratara exists.

once again, aratara is my original character that participates in canon storyline (smth like an AU mindchu). i still dont have will to rewrite his backstory on toyhouse, but as soon as i'll do that, i think i'll share it. but not now. he is trying to look as canon as possible cuz im mostly into more simplified designs and aratara is one of my icons design-wise fr.

his own storyline quite depends on aranimba and what happened to him so thats also why im so excited.

this time i didnt even set up the highest settings and limited just to highest def and shadows, the detalization is on low lol i usually play like this. so now these suck even more.

this place looks kinda calming from afar at daytime. when i entered it in the first time i was almost terrified, especially by the bg music.

and i love how the galaxy clouds are seen here in the night. hm, does it mean teyvat is located in a spiral galaxy or its just a fake sky?

so uh we are a bit more than 6 hours away from 3.6 and i wanted to do something cool for that but the fate decided otherwise cuz i sprained my ankle by silly tripping out of tram and had to draw myself to the very home like that.

however i bought a lot of cheese before that so its cheese day with unprompted sprained ankle. ok enough about sprained ankles. funny picture, yea, its about the funny picture.

ok i finally got into it again, thanks to my vk followers, because i barely login genshin since recent. plus my graphics still suck, these guys did good job searching for some places and now i have a plenty of screencaps very enough for filling the time before release of 3.6, that should happen... uh, next week, i suppose? i really always forget what their schedules are.

i made only two for now but i'll make more as the time comes, i have a lot of aside that to do. its day 79 since release of 3.4 at the moment btw.

another pair of aranimba pics.

to be honest, im slowly running out of interestingly looking places that aranimba could have visited (that automatically excludes the eternal oasis unfortunately), so its getting kinda tricky now to make more. well, we are not so far from the next version (pray for that to have aranimba in it finally), i think i'll try to extend the production of these. altho i shouldnt have said that cuz now i'll get impatient and will make pics for the rest of the places in a single day, i bet.

once 3.4 released i was mad af about aranimba still not being around, despite all locations on his drawings being available, so i decided to draw him on random screenshots from the desert of hadramaveth (is that a proper name idk its hard to spell) for fun. and i dropped that after 3 pics lol. now i boosted up another 3 pics at a time because im bored and also hope in 3.6 i'll finally see aranimba my meow meow.

also these screenshots are mine so thats why theyre blurry, but i literally set up the highest graphics and it didnt help. too bad.

so its now a thing huh. it all started with a silly local flashmob and went into this.

anyway, here are some other cat aranara (btw did u know sanskrit for "cat" is "marjara"? that quite fits if you ask me, so i dont even have to make some stupid pun and call them something like "aramarjara" or "marjanara", which also will end up meaning "cat person", its stupid)

i actually kept to consideration the fact that aranimba actually might never show up again, especially after 3.4 uncerimonious conclusion of finding locations from the paintings. and that sucks, but thats expected.

maybe i was this excited because my encounter with aranimba was really sudden. i, as many other players, got the shriveled seed long before release of sumeru and i did not spoil anything to myself beforehand, so when we rescued aranimba i was like "holy shit this lil rascal was laying in my pocket all the time?" and then he immidiately went away. all the time before that i believed we'll never get to see that aranara from the paintings and my expectation was fantastically ruined.

it seems like his only purpose was to lead us to the chests cave and then explain how these are filled (which is a big chronological mistake btw, because if you take the situation with the painting from the chasm and consider that aranimba is actually returning to vanarana to put these in the mailbox, then why oh why would he come back to chasm after that and get trapped. however, if he wasnt coming to vanarana, then who was delivering the paintings and how? its weird to think that this mailbox works like an ender chest but thats the most logical theory i can assume. ok maybe he actually used some wild animals for delivering but its only my thought that maybe has nothing to do with canon cuz, again, how. maybe i just misinterpreted the explaination. forever a mystery.) we actually were told that aranimba is a free bird so he'll just constantly travel around, but it still doesnt excuse that lame conclusion. even if you exclude the time gaps between versions and imagine someone going straight through it all when its already released, it still doesnt make sense at all. i would be happy even with paimon's little quote in the end at least, but nope.

i know i might be basically the only person on the planet who cares about such stuff, and if i am then, well, good to know im special. feels lonely to be this special tho. even though aratara was not supposed to be my sona or anything like that, he def interprets my excitement. and to make me upset in this situation means to get him to put up with it because he is an aranara, everyone here are just selfless lads. however due to him losing a friend once and probably losing another now in almost the exact same way, i, as a human, feel sorry for him.

aratara returned back to the forest almost right after he met aranimba in the desert and finally stayed where he belongs. and thats it.

so now shall i deal with it, never sacrifice my time for making aranimba pics on purpose again and get an hour of free time to take it to my lacking sleep. i grew up and should make responsible decisions.
