I'm super excited for the release of Baldur's Gate 3. Only 2 days left and my mind is going crazy with all the wait x] I don't remember when I was so stoked for a new game last time... Maybe Witcher 3? Or maybe latest expansion for FFXIV. Anyways, I'd decided to keep myself a bit busy with art and drew my beloved druid UuU

Today while playing Bg3 I got a glitch where Halsin's big naturals replaced his character portrait

so about astarion exsanguinating a wholeass bear,

I ADORE that even from the beginning of Halsin being a companion, if you ask him to stay at camp, he will say "Wherever you need me."

*I'll be whatever you need me to be. Sword, shield, shoulder, lover, healer, helper. Whatever. *

No snide comments, no disappointment, no grumbling, no comments about your perceived lack of skills. He accepts your request immediately "I'll be right here in camp. Take care out there."

*I will always wait for you until you say otherwise. Come back (to me) in one piece *

He is so confident in your abilities, he's seen what you can do and knows you do it well. He trusted you with aiding him, putting to right his greatest failures. In his mind there's nothing you can't do, and he's just along for the ride, wherever you direct him.

I really think he's so tired of being the one in charge, and that having you be the one to give some gentle instruction is a huge relief. Wherever you need him, he will be there. Halsin promised you his help, and it's hard, especially in a big city, but it's the right thing to do. You are the epitome of hope, and I don't think he's truly felt hopeful in a long time.

The trust he puts in you, and you back in him, is just beautiful ❤️
