_Minute Man

Am I but a side character, Cast aside to follow scripts and do as I'm told? March to the drums, military men, Uniforms akin to the the blue that stained scars into our skin. Am I nothing without another? How familiar that sounds. Maybe I am "myself" without others, But who is that? Father, Brother, Lover, Where am I regarded as a man? A man who built himself, An inventor! Am I not good enough for you? Should I lock myself in my bunker, And throw myself into my work? Claw at bruises so maybe at least they won't leave me? Feeling like the last man on Earth, Left to wonder this snowy land, A whisper of what this server once was. Hoping the frostbite will make me finally feel something. Freezing pricks of snowflakes Replace the tender touches of my long gone husband. ... So I'll stay up all night, With only the stars to accompany me Welding and weeping, As the wails from that cursed mansion pierce my ears

Lost in a world I don’t understand. Neither in life or death Did this server make sense to me. It seemed as though the very soil had it out for me.

I used to write about the land, Watching, stalking, observing its people, But I never learned. I was taught nothing but "Kill or be killed", "Hunt or be hunted". When even that’s not the truth. One cannot happen without another. So tear down their facade, their mask, And the lies they tell you, And you’ll find Ouroboros.

Let me give some advice, dear reader, Repeat "third times a charm" like a mantra. Mumble it over and over and over Till your lips and tongue go numb And succumb to the fact That you’ll never be at peace. Not here, not on this server, Because here they poison your blood with anxiety. Veins bubbling with arsenic and cyanide.

And you’ll learn to thank the paranoia, Because before you know it, Tick…tick., Boom! Your times up
