Day 31 of the #fallforcostume #challenge by @redthreaded is about reuse/recycle So I have to make the confessions that the cotton candy dress is actually made from bedclothes 😁 and the bérgère was a placemat, where I removed a round portion from the middle, made a crown from buckram and then stitched all together. The fabric was completely unused, it dates from the late 70's, but was left in the original packaging until I decided that making a rococo gown out of it, was the best use for that. I think all costume tailors have good experiences with using stuff that originally had a totally different purpose.
