"WIFE INTERCEDED FOR THE VICTIM," Montreal Gazette. November 7, 1913. Page 3. ---- Italian Arrested Charged With Threatening to Drown Com- patriot in Cellar ---- IN SEVEN FEET OF WATER ---- Complainant Alleges He Was Let Go, but That Accused Shouted Threat After Him ---- Charged with having threatened to drown Paolo Calenzaro, in the cellar of his home in Gordon avenue, Verdun, Alphonse Ferraro was taken into custody yesterday by Lleut. Savard and Constable Golengelo and locked up at police headquarters. Calenzaro, who resides in Riel avenue, Verdun, alleges that Ferraro entered his home on Wednesday and covering him with a revolver, threatened to shoot him if he moved, and went through his pockets. Ferraro took Calenzaro's revolver away from him and then covering him with the two weapons ordered Calenzaro to walk with him from the house to his own home in Gordon avenue.
When they entered the house in Gordon avenue, Canelzaro states that Ferraro ordered his wife to open the trap door of the cellar, stating he intended to drown him. Calenzaro alleges that he was given to understand that there was seven feet of water in the cellar, and believes that he would have been drowned had not Mrs. Ferraro protested against his being thrown through the trap door. He said that he was allowed to leave the house, but that Ferraro shouted after him that he would get him yet.
Calenzaro laid a complaint against Ferraro yesterday, on which a warrant was issued by Judge Lafontaine for his arrest. Ferraro, who is a market gardener, was taken into custody when he drove his team into the city to be ready to do business this morning at Bonsecours market.
Ferraro and Cafénzaro are Italians. They are said to have had a quarrel a few weeks ago at a party, since when there has been bad blood between them.
Lieut. Savard and Constable Conlegelo went out to Ferraro's house in Gordon avenue, Verdun, last night to search for the two revolvers with which Calenzaro claims to have been threatened, but as there was no one at home they could not get into the house.
Ferraro will appear before Judge Lafontaine in the Arraignment Court this morning.

Fucking love how in canon, the agency had that whole conversation about whether to save Atsushi or not when man had literally been kidnapped—
Then you go to Beast AU, where Akutagawa very willingly storms the mafia's headquarters by himself, with no plan and no backup, asking no help from nobody—
And the entire agency up and went to help him out. Could have started an all out war and they didn't care. Smart, sensible, and calm Kunikida was about to throw a fit. Tanizaki even went there before the others, he was the real ride or die kinda guy.
Asagiri totally wrote Beast AU for me, specifically, because I agree with all the narrative choices in that story. Absolutely everybody has all their focus on Akutagawa’s happiness and healing and that's 100% how it should be.

"ROB CLERKS OF $2,237 PAYROLL," Kingston Whig-Standard. May 12, 1933. Page 1. ----- Two Men Demand Money in Montreal and Clerk's Drop Roll --- MONTREAL, May 12. - Two clerks of the Catelli Macaroni Products, Limited, were held up by three men and robbed of the weekly payroll am-ounting to $2,237, in front of the Company's building here today.
Two men stepped up to the clerks with revolvers in their hands and demanded the money. The clerks dropped the bag containing the payroll as instructed by one of the men, who snatched it and threw it into a car waiting at the curb with motor running and another man at the wheel. Quickly climbing in the bandits drove off.
The clerks, Lucien Berthiaume and Donat Gingras, had returned from a branch of La Banque Provinciale at the corner of St. Hubert and Beaubion Streets with the payroll and were about to enter the company's building on Bellechasse Street in the north end of the city when the hold- up occurred.

GOD that exchange volgin and ocelot have in the cutscene where volgin kills granin, and volgin seems unconcerned with whether granin was the spy or if he was just a pawn, and ocelot is genuinely upset that volgin is just killing their fellow countrymen seemingly without care, tells him he doesn't approve of his methods, and volgin steps up to ocelot, reminds them not only of the hierarchical difference but also the physical difference between them, he's the commanding officer and he's fuckoff huge and has electric powers, and you literally SEE ocelot recalculate, his eyes flick around as he takes in his position, he reigns his emotions in, he backs off, tossing out the little barb about the nuke even as he steps away to pout... god i love that moment. seeing him in real time figure out what his approach should be. it's GOOD. it also i think speaks to this difference between the two of them, so often i see the torture scene with snake later referred to as the point when ocelot got his taste for torture, but i honestly think that's all a front. ocelot doesn't really seem to like the messy, cruel, unfair kind of violence volgin employs. he's excited for the gunfight he and snake have at the ravine, the hand to hand combat in the wig, two fighters going at it in a test of skill. even later in mgs1, when he's got snake strapped down with the electric shocks, he wants him to win! he tells him how to survive it and how to tap out if he wants to, and he genuinely wants snake to withstand it and beat him. there's something to that that's really compelling.

You know, looking through my fics, I've come to the conclusion that, for a neutral character, I'm shipping Darion with too many Alliance aligned characters. Someone from the Horde has to bite the bullet and become the next person to be insane with Darion.
