I love GIFs. I love language. And I’m Armenian. To combine these interests, I’m creating GIFs for the 39 letters of the Armenian alphabet. GIFs represent forever moments. They are short snippets of a scene. Like memes, they are perpetual. But unlike memes, they go unchanged. Making GIFs allows the Armenian alphabet and culture to stay alive, and by extension, helps create the blueprint for new ways to communicate. Language is always changing. Communication starts with GIFs.
