Elliot lifted his head a bit scoffing out a laugh, “you sure about that baby? Just a few seconds ago I thought your head was going to explode. The score was what? 2 to 8.”

You used your ankles to shove elliot back by his hips. The curly blond stumbled back against the coffee table with a, “oof!” Hopping up you stood, buttoning your jeans back and began stomping out of the room.

“I’m looking to see if they have any open tonight since you have so much mouth! I want to see if you can actually back your shit up!”You replied, yanking your phone from the kitchen counter.

Lexi: you were her first relationship so it was a big deal although you tried to tell her it could be just like any other day with the two of you. You explored the place, arm in arm with the thousands of books surrounding you before the both of you ended up at the back of an aisle.

Lexi pulled on one book that was tight in the bookcase which fully opened the bookcase to another room. Lexi thought she broke something which was adorable and funny as you pulled her through to a small dark wooded restaurant. “Why do I suddenly feel like I stepped into a Harry Potter film but less problematic?” She gasped as you led her down some spiral steps to your awaited table.

“Oh! I also got you something.” You pulled out a gift bag from underneath the table to slide across to the doe eyed girl before taking a sip of floral water.

Lexi grinned as stared down at the original script of her favorite romance novel. “You didn’t. How did even get this?”

“One must never reveal their secrets. Or else you’ll never be surprised with what I bring to the relationship.” You winked, earning a playful roll of the eyes from the light brown haired girl.

Lexi pulled out a large padded envelope of her own from her bag. “I made you something.”

“Yay.” You bounced in your seat as you took the envelope from her, “thank you.”

You opened it to reveal a collage of pictures over the months the both of you have been together from your first photo together to New Year’s Eve. On top of that were words you’ve said to each other from loving to deep conversations to insiders, it was beautiful.

How thoughtful lexi was and you were glad to call her yours as you watched her gingerly trailed her fingertips over each page her eyes scanned. Your free hand reached out to touch her’s and instantly she intertwined with yours, a small smile on her lips.

“You sure know how to make this feel like a scene out of a movie with me pretending not to notice that you’re staring at me.”

“Which is perfect with a writer as my girlfriend no? You’ve been stressed and I can provide you with all the love you need.”

Lexi rubbed at her forehead laughing, “Oh please, i cant take this cheese.”

“Then i guess that means you won’t be ready for the massage I have set up for you later? You’ll just take a kiss, a meal, and call it a day huh?” You quickly said making Lexi shake her head from side to side in confusion.

Lexi stumbled over her words, “I—I don’t even know what to say to that.”

“You don’t say anything right now, just enjoy the moment with me.” You flagged a waiter down, “what are we feeling? Rootbeer floats or these non-alcoholic espresso martini’s?”

As the waiter made their way over, Lexi abruptly leaned forward gripping your chin to connect your lips. A smile broke onto your lips with Lexi slowly doing the same, she wasn’t much for PDA but you must have done something right.

“I can come back?”

“No. No. Sorry, I just have the best valentine in the world this time around and got carried away. We’re ready.” Lexi apologized to the waiter who just shrugged their shoulders.

Knowingly you winked at Lexi as she sat back in her chair, blush swirling into her cheeks as she cleared her throat while she actually picked up the menu, not really studying it and just decided on a rootbeer float making you laugh once more.
