I just love how her outfit is F.A.N.G-like without making it identical to it. She got the glasses, the little bang, floral patterns, and color scheme. And must I add, she got the bell bottom pants that emulate F.A.N.G’s sleeves. Now THAT is clever!

Her costume 3 is sexy, but it also retains the goofiness from SFV F.A.N.G. I just love her oversized glasses 💜😄💜😄👍👍.

I know this may seem ooc considering the relationship dynamic between A.K.I. and F.A.N.G, but let me explain myself. I had some thoughts about A.K.I.’s name when I drew this little doodle. I know the story on how she got it, but I don’t know exactly why she’s named that way.

How A.K.I. got her name (from F.A.N.G):

A.K.I.’s name in Chinese characters:

After surviving her 1st poison training, Phantom (鬼) became A.K.I. (阿鬼). In kanji it means Ghost-chan.

In Chinese, 阿 (a) is used as an endearment for someone who’s close, especially within family.

F.A.N.G gave A.K.I. this name. But I thought emotional attachments are forbidden? Why did F.A.N.G gave her a name so cute and endearing?! Was he that proud of her on the day when she passed her first poison training? 💜🥺💜🥺. I honestly don’t know. F.A.N.G naming A.K.I. with 阿 shows a sign of an emotional bond. It’s almost as if he unconsciously raised A.K.I. as his own daughter 🥺🥺

Maybe sometimes F.A.N.G is not aware of his own actions? Based on how he interacts with the avatar in World Tour Mode, perhaps he acts similarly towards A.K.I.? F.A.N.G is reserved at first. If the avatar does a specific emote, F.A.N.G would laugh and dance until he stops himself from being too friendly. Maybe this is how A.K.I. learned her perfect win pose? I mean, that was obviously F.A.N.G’s from SFV. He gotta slip sometimes and A.K.I. would catch it 🤭🤭.

As for their acronyms, we all know what F.A.N.G’s is: Fantastic Asian Notorious Gang.

A.K.I.’s…well it doesn’t really mean anything canonically. Director Takayuki Nakayama said her name has a meaning in only Kanji or Chinese…which is Ghost-chan. It doesn’t have a real meaning in English. So no, it’s not Acute Kidney Injury lol.

All members of the Nguuhao have acronyms names. T.U.S.K (left) and T.A.I.L (right) from F.A.N.G’s SFV story mode. I don’t know the meaning behind their names lol.

The M. Bison F.A.N.G one was made back in April 2020 for Bison’s birthday.

The A.K.I. one was made recently when I hit over 2222+ followers on Twitter. It’s a modest number, but I can’t skip on commemorating 2222. It’s a FANG account after all lol.

Tbf, I jumped from 800 (or less) to 2222 in a span of a few months due to my SF6 male mods, especially after my Luke Morrigan and Jamie Felicia mods got viral ( https://x.com/remy2fang/status/1668445962791174144?s=46&t=iEGeYIIN_aP028wRnoVcUQ) . I haven’t modded much recently mainly because I’ve been focused on FANG and AKI content. I love FANG so much, and I’m so happy to see him again in SF6. Heck, I’m more excited for an NPC than I am for any of the roster characters lol. I love A.K.I., she is my self insert because she represents my love for FANG, but my goodness I suck playing her. Well, I’m not particularly good at competitive fighting games myself and just like to play them leisurely. Lol all I have to do is get good with her so I can be worthy of being AKI enough. Now, let’s see far I’ll go because I know I’ll be distracted either doodling some ridiculous thing, modding something, or going out away from my laptop 😅😅

I was not expecting this tbh. There were a couple of wonderful AKI fanarts that popped up during her birthday, but I’m just surprised the Street Fighter official Twitter account CHOSE this particular one to retweet. Like, WHY?! Yes, A.K.I. is really happy having birthday cake being served by butler F.A.N.G, but F.A.N.G takes up more space in this image than A.K.I. herself lol! And I made FANG more dapper, losing his hat and having his eyes more exposed, making him somewhat less FANG-like if you know what I mean. I’m just surprised that Street Fighter Official chose this one instead of more popular standalone AKI art where her fans can imagine they can be with her instead of being reminded that her heart belongs to FANG LOL!! Don’t get me wrong, I’m really happy that Street Fighter official chose to repost my art. I’m truly happy by it. Plus, more official F.A.N.G acknowledgement, which I’m always grateful for. And it reminds us what makes AKI canonically happy.

Still, I’m just amazed by this. I just wanted to draw out my personal fantasy and then Street Fighter official acknowledges it. Thank you for the reward lol 💜🥰😍😍🥰💜

Old fanart I did last year (June 2022) of F.A.N.G and A.K.I. when no one had any idea what the latter’s personality was going to be like. Almost all of my fanart of AKI at the time had her serious and unsmiling. Her concept art portrayed her as such, and almost everyone had that notion too. Until later when concept arts, the comic and especially the trailer came out, that’s when everyone realized that AKI actually has much more varied personality. Funny how out of all the fanarts I’ve done of her prior to the reveals, the one where I thought I was just being silly was perhaps the most accurate depiction lol
