thinking about how doomed chip and arlins reunion is. like. even not including all of the corruption and stuff implied to be happening with the hole in the sea. chip was around 9. a 9 year old who thought the world of arlin, and how can you live up to the expectations of a child who thinks the world of you, one who has had a decade to build you up in their mind.

and on the other side. arlin remembering a small boy who was a bit mischievous at worst, now stood in front of him ten years older, with countless scars, not even breathing. completely unrecognisable.

all im saying is that no party involved is ready for what might happen and thats scary as hell

oh the subtle shift in chips behaviour after trading away his memory of killing someone for price

because he's more careless than he was before, less opposed to jay and gillions random "let's just kill this guy" suggestions its so subtle but its still there

rewatching riptide 97 because i hate myself and something about gillion choosing the wrong lever,,,, it makes me insane

his whole life is choosing between two things- his destiny or what he wants to do, the land or the sea, and in this moment despite being told what the right thing to do is he chooses wrong and his friends suffer for it

realistically i know its charlie slimecicle being dumb but god does that fit into the nightmare scenario of gillions fear of failure

he FAILED man,,, the people he cared about were being hurt and it was his fault for choosing the wrong thing

makes me wonder about the whole prophecy situation and how he's going to react to it after that plus everything in recent episodes (granted im only just past 113 so yknow this could be irrelevant in 114) but man. gillion tidestrider

i mean,

granted those lines could be interpreted in a few different ways and im only on episode 110 so maybe something changes but god they love each other so much it makes me insane aaaaaa

who convinced the internet kaneki ken is a cool badass guy he’s such a wet cat that cries every time he sees his best friend he’s so pathetic i love him

i’m not saying he’s NOT edgy but he is nowhere near as cool as people think he is and i love him for that

i love drawing the hole in chips chest as just a void,,, it doesnt make sense. there should be something there. but theres just not. its unnatural. its unsettling. its a reminder of where he's headed and its not good.

dont think about how badly chip doesnt want to repeat the ways the world has wronged him to anyone else

he doesnt want to completely abandon ollie and leave him alone with nothing like chip, they make sure he has people to care for him. he doesnt want to let his crew follow him to the unknown if they aren't prepared for it. he tells ollie to stay home, out of any danger

but old habits die hard and he still promises ollie they'll come back

even though he doesnt fully believe it

even knowing hes feeding into the cycle

but yknow
