2020 was a wild year: a global pandemic filled with endless handwashing, wearing masks everywhere, shortages of toilet paper, paper towels, soap, flour and yeast. It seems like everyone had to adapt to a work-from-home environment, including school learning. This pandemic brought people closer as families and did tons of at-home activities together, like cooking, baking and gardening (because of this is been impossible for me to find flower pots this year! And with everyone obsessed with handwashing, soap dispensers have been tough to come by too). As we all adapted to this new pandemic lifestyle, one thing that was always a constant was my creating. I thought for sure when we were put into lockdown that my business and my means at being creative would be put on hold. I'm so happy that my art stores adapted to offer curb side pick up of art supplies. I was grateful to continue creating art while we adapted to a new normal. Things may have been tough all over in 2020, but I'm hopeful that the world will kick covids ass and 2021 will be a bit more promising. Thanks to all my followers for following. I hope my stained glass art has put a few smiles on your faces in an otherwise dreary and miserable year. Looking forward to putting this year behind us. Excited to FINALLY reveal another piece in my Monster collection. To me, Angler fish are the things nightmares are made of. It's Monster fish like this that are the reason I'm afraid of deep, open water, particularly the ocean. He's still far from being finished. I still need to add a light feature to his head. This Angler fish is legit going to be a hanging lantern fish. So excited to perfect this piece, make many more and make it a permanent item in my shop. This Venus De Milo gummi looks good enough to eat. Luckily, my sweet little Emma hopped in the photo with me to make me look better lol. 😼 I was nominated by @smg.illustration to post a #meetthemaker #selfie Since I've never done this in the almost 5 years I've been going public with my artwork, I figured it's about time you all got to know me a little more. 🖤 LAWD I need to dye my hair! Lol I usually like it dark, I dye it either straight black, or a deep plum if I'm feeling a little colourful. Anyways, I'm Amanda. This is me👆🏻 I'm Canadian and I live in Southern Ontario. I love cats, I care for 3 at the moment. They're all family 🖤 Rufus is the daddy (you've seen him in a few of my posts. He's pretty needy and is always bugging me for snacks while I paint). Emma and Tammy are sisters. I also have a few pet snakes 🐍 one is a female Ball Python named Geisha and the other is an albino King Snake named Casper (AKA: Bitey. "I call the big one Bitey"). I've been drawing Simpsons characters since I started watching the show, my love of the Simpsons has been lifelong. In case you can't tell from past posts, my other favorite cartoons are Beavis and Butthead, Rick and Morty, King of the Hill and of course, Bob's Burgers. Music is a big influence as well. My muse for a long time has been Marilyn Manson, he's definitely one of my all time favorite artists. I love all types of music, but mostly old goth rock, heavy metal and Danzig lol (oh! And the Ramones!). My favorite fruit is melon and my favorite drink is Crystal Head vodka. I'm a true crime fanatic (if it didn't require so much school, I would have loved to get into forensic pathology or be a forensic artist) and I LOVE old school horror movies. I'm #propot I love to smoke weed and encourage medicinal use of it. I start every morning with a coffee and some sweet sweet dabs. I'm starting to run out of things to say about me lol.
