Just finished! I love this white line block printing technique! It allows me to keep tweaking the print til my eye says “Yes! From the Reductive Block Printing workshops @featherstonecenterforthearts this past month. Shown here are state one and state two of the block, printed separately (1st) and then together(2nd.) Then there’s the second and third states of the block, printed separately, followed by examples of all three states printed together. The last two show the whole process laid out of the bulletin board, including the design play at the end. I cut the block in half and started playing with found shapes and patterns (black and white.) I kinda wish I’d printed a few more of these when this Reductive block was in this state. Ah well. Most of it is carved away now. The variations are endless! All of life’s adventures in process. Directions I could go in....the choices not made in favor of others.....my imagination wonders “what would have/could have happened....?” And then I’ve got that pressing desire to see how else could it look, where else can I go with it....?!?
